I really love their Keema and roti with pink tea. Plenty of desi delicious options and great service by Jabel’s team.

Absolutely atrocious behaviour they forgot our Chai and the Indian lady waiter proceeded to check out my table saying we are talking shit about not receiving it with our breakfast but then goes ahead and gives us the tea after, honestly quite upsetting and disgusting thinking that we would hide our chai to then get more Man at till refused us orange juice saying it was going to take very long but then i saw him make it in seconds I will not be coming back and advise others to be wary

The food was average and nothing particularly memorable. The staff, however, were not very friendly or attentive to customers. On a positive note, the restaurant had a lovely setting and a great ambience.

Just visited recently for a light lunch with my family and turns out to be a nice experience. The place was cosy, big and clean, the staff and service was very good, and food was not as bad as I was expecting 😁. We ordered gol gappe , samosa chat, karachi bun kabab (was a bit different than usual but was very nice compared to the last cafe we had it) but the green chutney which came with it was blend, noodles (unexpectedly was really good), roll paratha (which was mild but my 7 yrs old liked it very much). Chowley Halwa Paratha was also good, actually their halwa looked blend but was really tasty (the only drawback was the potion size for chowley was quite small. Overall, we had a lovely time there and would be visiting again to try other things. And offcourse, their karak chai was delish! 👍🏻

The place has a buzz, it was welcoming and vibrant on a wet Monday evening. Food was served swiftly and the staff are lovely. It’s reasonably priced, good quality, tasty food.

It is a great place to enjoy drinks and desserts with family and friends. I like the ambience and convenience of looking at the menu through the qr code on the table.

Went with Mrs as she said their karak chai was amazing, and also wanted to try the breakfast. As I already had eatern, I thought I would try the French toast. Before that, the restaurant is very big, plenty of seating. Decor is very nice, not your standard looking cafe. Food came pretty quick, and presented very nicely. Breakfast was actually really nice, obviously not over filled as it woild be in. A more traditional flcafe, but none the less was really nice. Tea was really good, on par with Chaiwalla. Prices are decent for what you get. Gteat place to try tea or have a meal as they have a good variety of hot foods. Definitely would say to visit, even if your a diehard Chaiwalla fan (like me)!

This charming little place in Ilford serves up a delightful halal breakfast or brunch. I opted for the desi English breakfast, and it was an absolute delight! Not to mention the loaded fries that was incredible along with the Karnak that was sweet and tasty! The flavors were bursting with taste, and the overall experience was wonderful. It’s a great spot to take your wife or family for a special meal. The atmosphere is lovely, with plenty of charming decorations that add to the ambiance.

I just had halwa puri,chicken roll and samosa chat while the taste was ok. It left my stomach feeling disturbed. Unfortunately,it was not worth the money spent.

Decent place, I hate when ppl hype places and i follow instagram reviews on it. Took my family for the evening, ordered the Tawa, mediocre food, some items were either hard and cold, taste as awful. Not for me!!

We went last week Thursday to have breakfast we ordered the desi breakfast and I ordered a halwa puri and chana. As soon as the food arrived i instantly saw 2 screws in my food. I straight went to tell the staff who didn’t seem so concerned. They kept saying what would you like us to do? I mean I don’t work there but surely they should be doing something. They said they will refund although it really wasn’t about the money like a whole 2 screws in my food like are they serious??? When I asked her what if my child came and ate this and she swallowed it then what? Her response was well we will be careful if they are kids. At this point I was raging. Like how can you say that so if it’s an adult ITS OKAY?????? Absolutely awful awful service. Appalling service from staff no manners if how to talk to a customer. The video won’t seem to add to this.just to also add we used to come every week for our breakfast although we did get our money back but before we left we gave that exact money back as the food was tasty. But I doubt I’ll be back

Very good Service, attentive staff and the owners are genuine people. They are always willing to resolve any problems, but create the best atmosphere - so you’ll never have any to begin with.

This is by far the best chai spot around. The chai is excellent, especially the Kashmiri pink chai but what particularly differentiates them from other places is their food - it’s above restaurant quality and incredibly authentic delicious Pakistani street food. Exactly what you need for a nice chill hangout - plenty of savoury and sweet options, both desi and Western. I’d highly recommend their Bun Kebab - very moist and perfectly spiced - I would come here just for this. They also have great milk cakes, chicken tikka sandwiches, paratha rolls, and chaat. Falooda, nimbu pani, gulab jamun. What more do you need?

First time here and stopped in a whim. It was a very good experience. Service was quick and staff is polite and respectful. Once you’re seated you have to go and order on the counter. Food served on the table. I ah e to say everything tasted great. A bit on the spicy side but I guess it depends on personal preference. The samosa chat was fresh and crispy. Chicken roll had amazing flavours

Disgusting service, I’m a regular customer and after today I wouldn’t be returning. Lady with headscarf got our order wrong misinformed us then we was made to pay extra because of her error. Manager doesn’t seem to know what she’s doing either, when giving feedback she kept speaking over me. A simple I’m sorry for the mistake would have been fine. I have never been spoken to in the manner the two staff spoke today, terrible service.

One of the best milkshakes and so fresh and good quality muffins they have. I am really out of my words after tasting their delicious dessert.

Very poor service We order halwa puri the portion were very small not enough for one person either. They were more concerned that we should pay beforehand even though we were dining in. Ordered extra couple of puri didn’t arrive until waiting for 7,8 minutes again they wana make sure I should pay before hand for the extra order although I already paid in advance for the whole order. Great spacious spot in Ilford to take a break from shopping or catch up with friends. The karak hot chocolate is my favourite drink to get as it’s different from anything I’ve tried before so definitely recommend. The food is average but there’s a decent amount to choose from. Out of all the cafes on ilford lane (I have tried them all) the drinks here are best and most consistent. It can get a bit loud with the music so if you’re looking for a more quiet and chill spot this might not be it and aren’t fussed about drinks this might not be it.

Nice deco, service not great, when ordering no effort, no smiles, no accommodating, when food served- literally cutlery clunked on table, no care or love in service at all. Food was ok - we had the sausage omelette roll- was a bit chewy, Karnak chia and Kashmiri chia - nice but really sweet.

Ordered Churros cost 5.99 and wow I got a proxy 5 small piece. Asked to change to a donut stack and was told tuff your stuck with it. Do not order this here.

Quite a nice place to take a breakfast

I’ve been a regular customer at Mi Chaii for almost two years now, but I’ve always had issues with the connectivity inside. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password, I was told that the Wi-Fi is only for business use. It’s frustrating because a place like this should be more accommodating to customers, especially those who are loyal. Otherwise, the overall experience has been good, but this lack of customer support with Wi-Fi really stands out.

During my visit, I witnessed one of your staff members, who appeared to be a cook, go into the restroom wearing black gloves. To my surprise, the same individual exited the restroom still wearing the same gloves and proceeded directly to the cooking area without changing them. This is a serious violation of basic hygiene practices and raises major concerns about food safety in your establishment. The Paratha was uncooked. The staff member taking my order was unnecessarily rude, making the overall experience unpleasant. Never going to Ilford Mii Chai again. Poor Hygiene

The food is worst the price they are charging is very high . The omelette is without any thing . If you want onion or anything else then pay 30p each item . Although simple omelette is already have the high price . Kashmiri chai is like drinking a hot water with lots of red color in it . So in short food served here is worst desi food in illford lane .. service and atmosphere is good …

Jabel is always kind and friendly. His customer service is impeccable. We ordered the Tawa grill platter today and I have to say, for a chai shop I'm so impressed with the quality and taste. Great value for money and definitely not just a social media hype, genuinely great food! I come out of my way to get tea from this shop because its warm and welcoming.

A very nice layed out restaurant with very friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good and very reasonably priced, but has always they start to use cheap ingredients, got the butter chicken it was like they got the cheap bottle sauce and used that it was very bad had to leave it. Please try the hot doughnuts stack with nuttella and ice-cream the doughnuts are made onsite and are very warm and nice.

The best chai place in London. The paratha was outstanding, fresh, fluffy and crispy. The dhal was lovely, amazing breakfast. I'd say chaiwala has a better karak chai.

It is in a very good place. There is plenty of seating inside and it is clean. And the customer service is very good, their food test is also good, the karak chai is very tasty. Ilford Lane is very busy and parking is not easy. Sometimes you find a place where you can park your car but you can pay. We would go again.

Place is definitely busy. Food, decent, but not as good as chailwalla. It is seriously overpriced for the area, which has a large community of casual labourers and foreigners earning very little. Decor is nice and place is clean Lots of options on menu. But like I said, not as good as other options selling the same stuff.

Mii chai has been rather an emotion than a cafe but it’s so disappointing to see the quality of food going so down their masala chips used to be the best me and my friends used to come over all the time for our project works but today is rather a big disappointment the masala chips was neither saucy nor nice crunch it was some chips with coriander and chili sauce verryyy disappointing I would rather prefer desi Brunch from down the road not coming to MI CHAI again Very disappointed to see how low the standard has come to

It's a food place for all age groups, my friends and I ordered the Afternoon tea which was wonderful. I expected small plates for the desserts would have been nice instead of eating from the same plate as the food I was eating from. My friends enjoyed the teas karachi and kashmiri tea. The samosas and kebab rolls wrapped in paratha was my favourite. Alhumdulilaah it is halal. Came back here after a year as my friend's really enjoyed the tea's here and ordered some desserts.

All i will say is that this place is better than Chaiiwala.

Place has gone down alot over the past few years. Karak chai was not what it used to be and kashmiri tea was so pink and extra sweetend that it was un-drinkable. Doughnuts use to be fluffy and nice bit they were too thick and they wanted to charge extra for any sauce you add. Most disappointing was the fact that they were forcing families to share tables with other customers they did not know due to the lack of seating options - NO PRIVACY AND TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!

I always used to go to this place, but all of a sudden I went there one day with my friend, and we ordered the English breakfast and we wanted to change some bits out of it as we always do but suddenly on that day they couldn’t do it, it was really weird when we’ve always changed something from the English breakfast. Every time we’ve come in the managers never there it’s always been his staff members which would do for us on that day. The manager was serving and he was telling us that we can’t change it which did not make sense and I said to him I have receipts I can show you, but no he should be training his staff not to do such thing then absolutely stupid.

We stopped at Mi Chaii for a quick snack. Staff are friendly (and accommodating of my indecisiveness!) and the service swift. Really enjoyed the chilli cheese sandwich. The butter chicken parata could have done with a bit of sauce (slightly dry imo) but that's a matter of preference. I've never been a fan of coffee, but the iced white chocolate mocha was amazing. Not strong, and didn't leave that horrible coffee aftertaste - the perfect heatwave drink. I have been converted 🙌🏼 Among the ample options on the High Road, Mi Chaii is definitely worth stopping at. I'm going to return with my children.

The service was very nice as well as food…i was looking for desi food from so long but today i got it with lovely surroundings and even the three girls on the shift was so nice…they guide me with the menue…and was very pleasant with me…loved it…and will definitely come back again…with all my friends…Inshaallah ☺️✌🏻

Really disappointed with this place. I’ve gone here for tea multiple times, however, the last visit left me speechless. I had a friend coming down from the north, and we chose MiChaii as the meet-up point. My friend is actually travelling and came from the Emirates, which means she did not have a UK Sim card or access to Internet. On arriving at the shop, she requested to be connected to the Wi-Fi, and this was rejected. She asked if she could briefly hotspot one of the workers in order to send messages to myself and her brother (who was also meeting us there), and this was also rejected. She then asked if she could use their phone to make a phone call to myself or her brother, and the workers did not allow this either. The manager came and confirmed that they do not allow people to connect to the wifi or allow phone access - I meant WHAT?! Absolute nonsense! Not only do I find this completely absurd, but their lack of care, and consideration really invigorated me; the lack of humanity they showed is unbelievable. There could have been an emergency, and they did not help her at all. Not going there again!!

the restaurant was scorching hot! It must have been around 28 degrees inside. We asked our server about the air conditioning, she just gave a dismissive nod and walked away, leaving us to sweat through our breakfast. The breakfast was unfortunately quite bad. The mushrooms, which are usually a highlight, were greasy and oily, ruining the entire dish.

I am visiting from USA - I asked for tea and it was stale ! Had to ask to reheat it! The man at counter stated it’s 10 minutes to close and I should take it to go! The bathroom was closed as they had cleaned it even before they closed! When asked I was told I could go next door! I would not recommend this place!

Good food but they have reduced the portion size particularly Halwa, which is a shame. Increase the size as was before. Karak tea and coffee have too much sugar.

I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the portions and quality of the dishes ordered. The price does not correspond to the quantity supplied. The biryani was very small in size, and the tea seemed to be just colored water with no real flavor. Also, the portion of chana dal was insufficient compared to the two parathas, which does not justify the asking price. Thank you for taking these comments into account in order to improve satisfaction.

Came in on Monday for brunch with friends, no one to seat us upon entering, I’ve been here before so I knew where to find menus myself🤷🏽‍♂️. Sat ourselves down, at the till the young boy had great service when taking our orders💯, however when the food came no cutlery was given, couldn’t find any at the little desk in the middle of the shop, so went back to till different guy was there looks about 28. He looked at me then continued his conversation with the other female worker about some staff gossip laughing and chatting, I was just a bit confused on the lack of customer service😂. So I asked for some knives and forks specifically for all of us, he gave me a single spoon and a used fork🤢👍🏽(we ate the traditional way 🙌) Overall food was good hot drinks late as always, and we left . I know this place is decent but fix that guy out - it really pissed me off
