Mi Chaii in Bradford

Food is hit and miss. Visited the Leeds Road branch the samosa chart was inedible. Half warm half cold with raw chick peas. Overall expensive and inconsistent. Omelette wrap sometimes good and sometimes bad. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food could be much better.

Amazing atmosphere, beautiful tea!

I went around lunch time, it was quiet but nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and food came in no time after ordering it. Loaded chips and chicken sandwich for me and my child. Both enjoyed it👍🏻

The food was amazing fresh and beautiful as expected.also was very surprised with the samosa portion was expecting 2 pieces as you would get normally but you get 3 and they were fresh and tasty too 👍🏽 will defo be coming back to try other things 💯

While the food and atmosphere here were great, we couldn’t overlook the fact that the staff member behind the till - a young South Asian lady - was constantly on her mobile phone. This was frustrating, as it meant we struggled to get her attention on three occasions: when we first wanted to place our order (despite standing directly in front of her), when we had questions about the menu, and when we needed extra cutlery. Each time, she appeared too preoccupied with her mobile, which is both unprofessional and discourteous.

Lovely food, great service and calm atmosphere

It was a deceptively large place, with lots of seating and plenty of seats. It was nicely busy and the tea was fine. The only gripe was that the Kashmiri Chai used peanuts! I always associate it with almonds and pistachios. There were a few flakes of pistachios, but the peanuts were new for me.

I paid for desi paranthas and they served small frozen parathas. I asked for pink tea but they gave regular tea full of sugar.

Lovely atmosphere and a spacious area to have a cup of tea. I had mint tea which was just hot water. If I’m paying a premium for mint tea there should be reasonable quality and not just boiling water with the weakest mint tea bag ! Visited 21st September 2024

We went to this place for the all day lunch. Absolutely amazing food and came in good time. I would highly recommend the new puris they do - not yet on the menu as a new item. Brilliant. The karak chaii, what can I say? The best I have ever had. What else? The service is exceptional. The manager Sohail served us and nothing was too much trouble for us. The atmosphere and vibe in the place was also spot on. Thank you for a lovely time.

This is my first time visiting mi chaii and I was satisfied with everything. The food was nice and fresh, and the service was great. I was served by imaan who was friendly and she ensured I felt welcome and gave me plenty of different options when I asked for recommendations. Would recommend to others and would definitely come again!

Ordered chicken biriyani and butter chicken combo, both tasted good. The biriyani portion wasn't sufficient though. Went to eat in and the food was ready in few minutes. Ambience was decent too.

Amazing place to wind down after a hard day or week. Saira and Zeena are absolutely fantastic. Very professional and welcoming. The tea along with rest of the menu is delicious. Highly recommended! Best spot for a tea in Bradford.

Had the karachi bun kebab, it was really nice but would benefit from adding a sweet/spicy chutney, like a Mango or tamarind chutney. Pink tea was really good.

I came in today for the first time and ordered a cheesecake and it was delicious and well made and presented and the girl called amina gavw great customer service she was very nice and I think she was new but was doing good at her job.

Went for a quick Chaii and dessert. Shop was very quiet on a Saturday night. Ordered the brownie with ice cream and it was a worst brownie I have ever tried. Was like a stale cake. Sent it back and changed it for the Churros. There were passable at the best. Bit disappointed with the food but the Chaii was ok. It wasn’t pipping hot unlike some of the other branches.

I visited mii chai and was greeted by Imaan. She was so friendly and had excellent customer service ensuring I left happy with the service. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending others to visit too!

Food was great, as was service - one of the waitresses Imaan is a really friendly and polite girl. Was able to give good recommendations and made sure to check up on us as well to ensure we were enjoying our meal.

Absolutely amazing! The service is incredible and the staff are so down to earth and lovely. My favourite staff are Zeena and Saira due to their impeccable manners and professionalism throughout the work. They are very on their toes and over all a lovely place to dine, 100% recommend.

Good food, good atmosphere and good customer service will be back soon.

Second visit and still a massive disappointment. Samosas we're burnt and the potato in the pakoras were uncooked. The food was bland and tasteless. I would not recommend this place.. Somewhere for posers!

Tea was served cold which was then made fresh and had to wait longer for it. Not really acceptable to give cold tea. The server had a little attitude not your friendly usual expectations. Not sure why it's gone downhill Mi Chaii used to be really good.

Ordered desi breakfast for 7.95. Paratha was rubbery and so hard. Looks like it was recooked. Omelette was nothing special. The worst omelette I have ever tried. You have to pay 30p extra for each basic ingredient (onion, tomato, chilli and cheese). Overall breakfast meal was very poor. If you are going because of the atmosphere, try something else. Dhal and chai were good. Couldn't enjoy it as our main food was so bad.

Best Tea shop in Bradford my daughter loves their tea the staff are so nice the manager is such an awesome guy. The full English breakfast is delicious.

Second time here, I ordered a Kinder Bueno Milkshake and for my friend I ordered a falooda, and a Karak Chai. The lady at the counter, not sure her name but wore a hijab, was very polite and she gave me time to ask my friend what type of ice-cream he wanted with the flooda. My milkshake was very nice, and my friend enjoyed his falooda and said that the Karak Chai was better than the one from Chaiiwala. The atmosphere was nice, the decor was good and the music wasn't too loud. Me and my friend made intentions to visit here again :).

Poor quality food not worth the price. Charge more than other local eateries serving the same food. Won't be coming back in a rush

Ordered a desi breakfast with beans and paratha. Was extremely disappointed at the food generally. The beans were an extremely small portion considering it was meant for 2 parathas. The egg was extremely oily. Did not enjoy and would not recommend!

Ordered desi breakfast but very disappointed from my order as the parantha was very hard to tear and also very small. Hardly chew the parantha and for £7.95 the breakfast portion very small.

Absolutely rubbish service. The staff had no customer service skills. Food was extremely late and half of it was missing. Food did not taste fresh at all. Disgusted by how awful everything was. Especially the girls attitude. If only I could give zero starts.

somosa with kabab they served half frozen and I ordered 3 cha and 1 milk shake but they take order 3 tea 3 milkshake who had tea with milkshake??

No paper menu, forgot our cutlery, no tap water, service let us down

The hot chocolate could be a bit more chocolatey, I could taste milk and a tiny but of coco.

Had worst experience today! Handedover me luke warm limu pani when i asked to add ice in it the guy on the counter ( extremely rude and ill-mannered) said we don’t have it and we don’t serve with ice “what a joke” i asked if you can change it to something else or atleast give me refund. He didn’t help me at all’ wont be coming back for sure as it really put me off.

We came here by chance to open our fast and absolutely loved the food and service. Would definitely be coming back and recommending to family and friends. Amaaazing service

Tried karak coffee and was amazing !

Skimping on the portions. Chana chat box was filled half a year ago. Few months back it was 2/3 full. Now you only get 1/3 of the box. So much lighter than before why are they cutting down on portion sizes??

We only ordered tea, the karak chai was good, it was served in plastic cups! Should have been served differently as we sat in. The customer service could have been better, no warm welcome upon entering and they just rushed through our order and got us out even though there was no queue.

Very disappointed with the service 1 hour wait for keema chips, masala chips and samosa chaat. Food was average at best. The staff member with glasses was very rude and abrupt don't know where he got his customer service skills from. Will not be coming back here.

Delivery driver 10/10, came to the door instead of ringing me to come downstairs to collect it. Food was 10/10 this time, usually the food is lacking flavour or freshness but this time it was nice. Its a hit and miss.

My order has not arrived. Called restaurant to be told that ‘it’s not our problem’ as driver is via Just Eat. What kind of service is this??? I want a full refund ASAP! And please don’t get into customer service if you are impolite and don’t know how to speak to people!!! Disgraceful!

Food came a bit cold and late - not like usual.

Food was good - chilli cheese toast, samosa chat, masala chips. Kashmiri chai was a little too sweet and nimbu pani was average.

Don't usually write reviews but needed to on this occasion. Omelette was burned, dry, dripping in oil, tiny, nothing desi about it. Paratha from a frozen packet, still couldn't get it right, dry cold and hard. Chana just awful, smallest portion I've ever seem. Would never purchase from here again. So disappointed for the amount of money spent.

The sauce for the biryani had gone off. The two girls serving said they had informed the kitchen. No offer of a refund. This is one for Bradford Council's Environment Health Department for selling food not fit for consumption..

RIP OFF! £3.55 for watered down Chai! This used to be my spot to go but the price increase I was still eh ok but then it was so watered down!!

Quite disappointed. I ordered the desi breakfast which had 2 paranthas, desi beans, desi omelette and karak chaii. And I also ordered the chana, halwa and parantha. The chana was EXTREMELY oily, literally flooded with oil as you can see in the picture. The omelette didn't really taste of anything. The beans were VERY salty I literally could not finish it. The parantha was cold and hard to tear, felt like I was chewing on cardboard. The only thing I did like was the halwa and the tea. Overall unfortunately not going to be ordering from here again. Plenty of nice breakfast places in Bradford.
