Metronome Life in Merton

Metronome is a brilliant cafe with a music studio and evening music events. Super nice staff and coffee and teas etc really good.

great coffee and almond croissants. (wish was open sunday mornings but i guess everyone needs a day off). staff super friendly. comfortable and looks good. just what Morden needs.

Brilliant service and amazing coffee. Went to one of their evening events (an album listening session), which was brilliant. Great little place with a recording studio out the back to boot!

It's smart. It's clean and tidy. It's well organised. The staff are... There are two versions of friendly: forced-friendly and genuine friendly. We met two teams of staff there and each of the four was genuinely friendly, helpful and welcoming. Just nice people. The cafe's quite small, but so pleasing. Coffee was great. Proper coffee. The cakes - well, Judy had a raspberry chocolate brownie and raved about it. Brilliant (and she's a connoiseur). My chocolate muffin was also top notch. We passed Metronome in the morning on our way to park, remarked on the name and visited. So impressed that we returned on ou way back south and had a snack, more cofffee and a chat which led to being shown round the 3 recording/ rehearsal studios. For a small or medium band these are really nice, and the presence of coffee just up the corridor makes them a no-brainer. I wish this place was on one of our more frequented haunts. But if you choose to enter London via Tube from the south, Morden's easy to get to. And then there's Metronome to help you recover from the drive.

Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Really accommodating of allergies, alternative milks are completely free! All the takeaway cups are fully compostable. Will definitely be visiting again.

Delicious cakes and coffee, staff are always very attentive and thoughtful. Lovely coffee house- beautiful artwork on the walls and a fantastic variety of events! A great addition to Morden.

Metronome is a real jewell amongst the other businesses in Morden. Great coffee, teas and a variety of excellent food. Yes, it’s not the cheapest but then quality never is. The staff really make you feel welcome. It has a lovely ambience and great music played on a first class music system! Perhaps unsurprisingly as it’s attached to a recording studio. If you’re lucky you might even see some well known TV actors on their way through to the studio. They even had Idris Elba in last week!

Why? Real attention to detail. E.g. They weigh the coffee for each cup! Ethical coffee beans from a company offering job training for the homeless. A variety of fresh food including cakes, muffins, sandwiches and much more. Great ambience and very friendly staff.

What’s not to love. Great coffee, amazing cakes (especially the muffins) and staff who are always helpful and friendly. It’s a much needed coffee shop in the local area. 👏

Ever since lockdown, metronome has been a staple in our lives! Their coffee is spectacular, the team always paying close attention to weights and other details to pull a perfect shot of espresso every single time. Always a wide range of treats, including incredible vegan croissants and occasionally a ginger cake to die for. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming and it’s a highlight of the area. Feels so good to support a local business as well!

Such an asset to the Morden high street - always guaranteed a warm welcome, high quality service, great coffee and delicious food. A place to work, socialise or just watch the world go by! Never seen such upbeat, friendly staff.

I really can’t fault Metronome. I love their commitment to being ethical, sustainable and accessible (they’ve really pulled out all the stops) plus great service with a warm and inviting welcome every time I’ve visited. So handy that my bus stops just outside too. Can’t wait to experience their evening events.
