Used to be a pre theatre go too. Disappointed at service, food and experience. Felt like it was more about how many covers can we get thru rather than enjoyable dining experience which not used to be.

Cute little Spanish wine bar and restaurant on The Cut with a friendly staff, nice wine list and a menu that will offer some quality Spanish dishes that you won’t get at many places in Waterloo. Has a lively feel to it, nice atmosphere and good location.

I stopped by this restaurant after work, drawn in by its cozy atmosphere and the genuinely kind staff. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. Most dishes were rather tasteless, the Iberian ham was extremely tough and overly salty, and the aioli turned out to be a dense mayonnaise with just a hint of garlic. On the plus side, the meat was impressively tender, though sadly lacking in flavor. It’s a shame, as the place has real potential, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

I am not sure who is rating this above 1 star, but anyone who enjoys authentic Spanish cuisine will know in their heart of hearts that Don Felipe does not hit the mark. Cardboard tortilla. Reheated calamari. Miserable attempt at jamón. At least the beer was authentic, with a good selection.

A really lovely, busy, tapas bar. We’ve had some disappointing tapas recently and this more than met our expectations. The food tasted freshly cooked and the waiting staff were all helpful, welcoming and friendly. We even got an extra cheese dish to start as there was a small delay with our order. We arrived at 5.30pm for a pre theatre meal. Would definitely advise booking if you want a pre show table as people were being turned away.

Fresh ingredients and authenticity are the foundation of real Spanish cuisine—they should never be sacrificed in the name of profit. Sadly, that’s exactly what’s happening here. Most diners don’t realize they’re being served subpar, pre-packaged or canned ingredients disguised as tapas. In Spain, this restaurant wouldn’t last a week—even the most humble, no-frills neighborhood bar would deliver better quality and care. It’s frustrating to watch people being misled by a place that bears no resemblance to true Spanish food.

The evening started well. A rather attentive boss who followed suit. But the rest of the staff were attentive to the eye. A waitress (short, curly hair) fixed the hair of another (long-haired) waitress, and gave her colleague a tattoo in the middle of the service without ever washing her hands. The food was quite good, the sangria was impeccable. But when they say the cat doesn't play, the mice will play, that's exactly what they mean. The waiters act like borderline arrogant fans. I'm holding back because the language barrier is preventing me. Too bad it was our last evening. A real lack of seriousness.

I ate here 2 years ago and it was so good I knew I would come back. My partner and I went last night and the food was very poor. Firstly I felt rushed in to ordering and the server tried to push dishes on me. In the end I ordered a few plates, the prawns were chewy and you could tell were frozen, instead of being sizzling in a terracotta dish, they were shoved in a cold white bowl. The sangria had no fruit in it, the toasted sourdough was rock hard, all in all none of the dishes tasted authentic, it was an expensive meal that we were both very disappointed with. This place used to be great but I'm assuming a change of management is the issue and I certainly will not be coming back.

It's a lovely building inside, quite cramped, but that's due to the old tapas bar that you obviously expect going to a tapas restaurant. Anyone that says this is decent tapas doesn't have even half a clue about tapas, ordered garlic prawns they were obviously frozen as they were rubbery and flavourless everything came out in IKEA dishes, chorizo was great and the sour dough bread, apart from that everything else was pretty much flavourless, we had a large sangria which was very good but just about filled 6 glasses so wouldn't call it a large. All in all, we won't be returning, which is a shame as I heard this used to be an amazing place.

In the vicinity of Waterloo station, this Spanish restaurant excels over many others competitors of different cuisines with its tapas. We visited this place twice and both experiences are fantastic. The first time we ordered squid, quedo Manchego and mushrooms. This time we ordered octopus, fresh anchovies fillets and spinach. They are all very delicious. We could tell that they are nicely marinated and cooked. Of course you can’t compare their price to those in Madrid but for a eatery in the hub of downtown London, it’s already very affordable and competitive. I would definitely come back again.

My empowering ladies group went out for lunch and we had a lovely meal our company as usual was amazing and everyone (baring one who’s fish was too dry) really enjoy their meal. We had seabeam, steak, lamb chops (which were a lot smaller than I had before), the fish was cooked superbly very tasty and well seasoned (you us West Indians love our food well seasoned lol), and a pasta dish. Some had wine others juices even the cocktail was on point you can taste the alcohol in it not like some where it’s watered down no not here. The desserts rum and raisins ice cream was right on point you can really taste the rum and the Tiramisu was nice but we didn’t get the cone on top as displayed in the pictures but when we pointed out they soon fixed that. The lunch menu for £11:90 +service charge is brilliant desserts extra but 3scoops of ice cream is really good. I have been there several times and will definitely be going back next week.
