Had a lovely meal at Merry Moon, really cosy small restaurant. Hadn't pre booked a table so really pleased they could fit us in. I had the chicken stir fry which was really tasty and hubby had the Vietnamese noodle soup which he said was really tasty also (just a note on this the bowl is huge so much so we took half home with us). Will definitely be trying Vietnamese food in the future.

Great stop for dinner, great service, relaxing and fantastic food. Definitely will be visiting again. A must when visiting Llandudno.

Spotted this restaurant during our short stay in Llandudno. We have visited Vietnam several times and lived there for 6 months. So I know a little about the food. We decided to start with fresh spring rolls. Normally these are served cold however, ours were warm and the casing stuck to the plate. For mains I had belly pork served in a broth and my wife chose a chicken curry. We asked for medium hot but neither had any spiciness. When we were given the bill found that the order had become weak!! My wife struggled to find any chicken and some of the vegetables were underdone. My dish was tasteless. The only good point was the Saigon beer was nice and cold. This was nothing like the excellent fare we would get in Vietnam. Finally, they do grudgingly accept CC but will add a fee. Give this restaurant a miss if you have enjoyed Vietnamese food before.

Absolutely the worst food I’ve eaten in a long time. We fancied sharing a few starters. I also fancied a spicy soup/broth but was told that was only available as a main course. Alarm bells should have rung in my head as any competent cook could have accommodated my request. So the prawn dumplings were disgusting, gloopy and tasteless to the extent I spat it out. The spicy chicken wings could not have been fresh what little meat there was had to be hacked off the bone. The duck samosas were deep fried but overdone and tasteless. The three dishes had very obviously come out of a freezer. The last dish was a Vietnamese papaya salad which clearly had been having a long rest in a fridge. It was nowhere near fresh and vibrant, more tired and limp. I literally was left with a bad taste in my mouth after such a poor meal. It’s a shame because the restaurant itself is very nicely furnished and the waiting staff very friendly and smiley. Shame about the food.

This is a hidden jem, superb food, small place but brilliant, give it a try, you will not be disappointed, nicest food at a very good price we have had in a long time, staff were so friendly and helpful

WOW! That's all you need to know straight away. This was definitely one of the best meals we have ever had out. My wife booked this for my birthday night out in Llandudno and it didn't disappoint, you will need to book in advance though as it is a small restaurant and tables go quickly - as soon as one walks out another fills the table. Service was impeccable and the food - OMG what an absolute gem of a place - I had the Pork Stew which was to die for and my wife had Pork Belly which she loved, both had starters also and the whole evening was fantastic. If you decide to go for one meal out here, make it this place.

This is a fabulous, high quality restaurant and a shining light for Llandudno. 4 of us went here for lunch on Sunday. The restaurant itself is small but beautifully formed. It’s light, bright, cheerful and fun. The service was slick, informative, unobtrusive but professional. We all had different starters and main meals, a couple of soft drinks each. The total cost was £111. The food was delicious . All appeared and tasted like they were freshly prepared. The Vietnamese prawn salad starter which I had was a taste sensation… sweet, salty, hot and sour…in every bite. The others had chicken satay starter and prawn and lemongrass dumplings..again beautifully prepared and great quality ingredients. 3 of our group had the Pho.. a hot rich broth crammed with different types of vegetables and different meats. It was amazing. I had the pork belly with noddles and salad…. Absolutely outstanding. There’s so much more on the menu and we are already planning our next visit. If your looking for something a little different but great quality and value for money, you’ve got to try eating here.

Super tasty meal at the Merry Moon Bubble Tea. We enjoy all asian food so it was nice to try something a little different away from the usual options of Chinese, Indian and Thai. We shared some starters and then had a Vietnamese chicken curry plus a pork stew and both were absolutely delicious. The service is efficient and friendly and the value is excellent.

Popped in on an off chance with no booking with my partner and our baby in a pram. I have visited before but not taken my partner and baby. They were very welcoming. Ordered pork cutlets and prawn dumplings for starters and the beef combo broth and stir fry tofu noodles. The service was quick and food hot and fresh with amazing flavours. Nice size portions. Over all we really enjoyed the whole experience. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Wonderful authentic experience both food wise and ambience. The family run restaurant shone with kindness and respect to their guests. Will definitely be visiting them again.

We were staying over the road and had spotted this little restaurant and thought it would be nice to try something different. We called in yesterday to see if they could accommodate us. It’s a small place but the staff were very helpful and made space for us and our pram. The food was absolutely beautiful and good value! The menu isn’t huge but what they offer is done perfectly. We would definitely visit again if we return to Llandudno.

I tried booking a table in the afternoon but my call got put through straight to voicemail. I understand as they may have been busy preparing to open for their evening service. When I came to visit in the evening the tables were nearly all full. The staff accommodated me to a seat in a cool and calm manner regardless of how busy they were at the time. They had really nice decor with hanging plants, glass see-through seaside tables and a violin filled with wine bottles. The ambience of the place was alive with conversations echoing around the place. My order came faster than I expected. Half an hour in to my food, I got checked up on by one of the Staff if everything was okay. The soup was delicious I felt guilty I couldn’t finish it as I already had dessert and a coffee beforehand. I would definitely recommend to those seeking authentic Vietnamese cuisine and first time adventurous foodies.

Our complements to the team at this fantastic Vietnamese restaurant which truly deserves top awards for its friendly service and superbly cooked food. Were we living in or near Llandudno we would certainly return again and again. Thank you to everyone for such a memorable experience.

We just happened upon this little gem. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food absolutely delicious, with light fresh flavours. The staff were delightful and so helpful and polite. A lovely evening.

The first time I tried Vietnamese food and let me tell you, I am absolutely OBSESSED!!! This is the cutest little restaurant, it’s only tiny, but the food they make is DIVINE!!! I am so gutted I don’t live anywhere near Wales because I would waste my wage on the food here it’s that brilliant. The staff are so friendly too, very smiley and polite. The next time I come to Wales to stay I will definitely be back here.

Totally authentic Vietnamese dining experience in Llandudno with incredible food and out of this world service. If you have not tried Vietnamese cuisine before let the staff guide you and immerse yourself in a wonderful new experience. Highly recommend.

Thursday night visit at 7pm and it seemed a large party of about 20 had arrived just before us (and sitting outside) so although we were seated snd served drinks swiftly, we waited almost an hour for starters to arrive and then another half hour for mains. Staff are friendly but it would have helped if they’d explained there’d be a wait and maybe offered us some prawn crackers or similar to nibble on. Food good and was served hot, but really rather spicy (and I like spicy) and water was needed to quell the heat. Nice venue, nice staff and food but Shane about long waits.

Top - Notch food experience. We stayed in Llandudno for 3 days and all 3 days we visited Merry moon for dinner. Very friendly staff and so welcoming. Do try their Vietnamese curry, that's the best. Even stir fry noodles and noodles soup were very tasty . For starters, meat ball and prawn dumplings. We will surely visit again.

Great menu, reasonable prices, delicious food, beautifully presented in a gorgeous restaurant with excellent staff. Perfect! The one star guy couldn't be more wrong!

Food was superb. Best restaurant meal I’ve had in a long time. Servers were incredibly accommodating. Dog friendly too. Would highly recommend this place, and advise you book ahead as it will be busy. Top drawer.
