The staff are lovely and the food is great. Unfortunately we went for my son in laws birthday. and I mentioned this to the manager and asked if they could do something. He assured me they could but at the end of our meal nothing happened or was said. We felt let down and disappointed. I am sure this is because they were busy.. But I expected the manager to remember. So it ruined our night as we felt let down.

Obviously we caught this on a bad night, steak was chewy, lasagne was burnt, chips were like potatoes cut in half so they were roasties, overpriced, 💯, the women's toilet was out of order so had to wait for a man to come out of the mens toilet 🤬, overall you'd be better going to a wetherspoons!!! Mediocre food!!! Outdated decor for an Italian restaurant, highly NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

Nice meal and service. We went on the Sunday 28th of July 2024, and it wasn't open all day - it opened at 5:30pm. Fortunately we turned up at 5:15 so didn't have to wait long. We didn't book but they had room.

Well where do I start, my wife had tag Alfredo, which was shocking with no taste at all, father in law had bolognese pasta without an bolognese, I had a Alfredo pizza and asked for extra chillis on it and there were two chopped small pieces and got charged an extra £1:50, we had a portion of chips, with a bit of truffle oil on for £8, the lady then said yes we did think it was a bit expensive, but no talk of knocking anything off the bill, we also asked for a garlic bread which came, they asked did we want one large one, we said yes and they charged us £12, and I’m not being funny but it was no bigger than a tea plate, unbelievably shocking food from start to finish, they asked was we happy with the food and we said no but they still did nothing, there a licence to print money, please be warned, shocking, had no drinks either, the mens toilets also told a thousand stories, there where cob webs all over, I like to think if the toilets don’t get cleaned when the kitchens will be exactly the same.

Food was very tasty, friendly service but portions are very small, especially for the ice cream.

A Very friendly restaurant in the heart of Conwy but walking through the door you travel back in time and unfortunately there isn't any atmosphere like you get in most Italian or general restaurants. The food we ordered was of a general good quality (arancini/brussetta/pizza/lasagne) but lacked taste, seasoning. The pizza had a lovely dough and was cooked beautifully but the tomato sauce had no flavour or seasoning, it was of a decent size. The lasagne came with no cheese topping or Béchamel sauce and was just meat stacked on layers of pasta sheets so I was really dry and again no flavour but there was alot of meat, definitely the strangest lasagne I've seen to date. The staff were very polite and quick to take our orders and checking upon on us after the food was delivered. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone for any photos that evening (typical)

Food wasn't great and was overpriced - £12 for three pieces of undercooked ravioli as a starter. The rest of the food was bland, portions weren't great, and the meat in the dishes appeared microwaved (piping hot and chewy). Our dessert tasted stale and the coffee was really poor. Walking into the restaurant was like going back in time, the decor is seriously outdated and in definite need of a revamp. The staff were lovely which was the only real saving grace.

Food exemplary, James was our waiter and he was knowledgable and attentive. Five stars and would come back.

We had a beautiful meal tonight at Alfredo. Visiting for the first time since the new owners have taken over and we were very impressed 👌 fabulous service too will definitely be visiting again very soon

The food was nice when it arrived, though it did seem to take quite a long time. Staff were very polite but getting their attention wasn't always easy, the guy in charge seemed rushed off his feet while the other waiters were serving drinks one at a time. Restaurant decor is slightly dated.

Tiny portion for seafood linguine, burning hot with chili to disguise rubbish flavor chips tasted dirty staff looked dirty. Bathroom was dirty non hovered floor bits all under our table well overpriced for the food. Apart from that, it was ok although I feel like I’m just about to follow through!! I Need a toilet asap. definitely not five star review which is what TripAdvisor says!!

We were just unlucky. We opted for steak in an Italian restaurant asked for it to be medium well done but the cow was still mooing. We did not enjoy the meal. It was overpriced for what we got. Staff was ok bless them! It’s just not for us unfortunately. The glasses smelled like dirty dish washer water, which then make the drink unpleasant. I will not visit again I am sorry. I won’t recommend. Paid over 100 pounds and I regret it.

We found Alfredo's whilst we were on holiday in the area and ate there twice. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. We really loved the lasagne. It was really special.

Excellent Wednesday evening experience! Large group positioned at the far end of the restaurant (20) and smaller groups of 2s and 4s positioned near the bar end this gave a nice buzz to the atmosphere without being intrusive. The muted Opera music gave a nice warm feel with Amy and her team being friendly, informative and efficient. Starters of antipasta and mains of pasta dishes followed by the cheese board were all delivered swiftly and efficiently with just enough digestion time. This experience was crowned by discovering that the food was subject to a discount at this time - fantastic and thank you.

Drove 3 hours just to find that it was not opened for lunch. Please update business hour to avoid disappointing visitors

Had an amazing experience to have Italian pizza at Alfredo last year, It was great to visit there.

Been twice recently and the main courses (as that’s all we’ve had) have been excellent. Saturday, we had a mushroom risotto and a carbonara. Both perfect and not too much sauce/ cream so we could taste the flavours. Not large portions but just about enough. The decor is like going back to the 1980s which is a great shame. Young staff pleasant.

Friday. Disappointed. We checked the web and it said it opened at 12.30pm. We made a special journey to get there. Arrived just after 12.30pm but it was closed. We rang them and they said they don't open until 5.30pm. It would be helpful if they updated their opening times.

We have just eaten at Alfredos this evening (family of 3). Very enjoyable evening with fantastic food. I love a good lasagne and the lasagne I've just eaten at Alfredos is the best I have ever had in a restaurant!! Compliments to the chef!! There was a mix up, with our order, but the staff were extremely apologetic and dealt with the situation perfectly. 5 stars for the staff. Thank you for our mystery meal and chess board!! 😊. Will visit again when we next visit Conwy. Highly recommended.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a holiday in North Wales. We stumbled across this place on a Sunday evening and we are so glad we did ! We enjoyed it so much we had to return on the Wednesday before we left to come home. Everything was lovely. The food, the atmosphere the staff (in particular the young lady on front of house). We are so disappointed that this place is so far from us. It would certainly be a regular of ours if we lived nearer. If you are in the area, check it out. You won't regret it. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly visit again. Thank you for two really lovely evenings on our holiday 😊

We had really good food (except the pizza wich we found a little bit small). Unfortunately we weren't content with the service. Both our drinks were empty when our main course was served. We weren't asked if we'd like one more pint of beer or glass of wine. We had to wait long for the food, that's ok as the meals were freshly prepared. In the end we were slightly in a hurry and wanted to pay the bill but the waitress was chatting with the customers at the table next to us which is absolutely fine but after ten minutes we went to the counter to pay the bill at a colleague. Sorry, not the best experience and Alfredo would have earned a few quids more if anyone would have asked us for one more drink or a dessert.

Myself my two daughters and my granddaughter returned to Alfredos in April. The food was fantastic the atmosphere wonderful and I was really impressed by the wonderful attentive staff and service provided. We went to the restaurant every evening of our holiday. On the last night I was thrilled to see lovely Marcio again and it was amazing that he recognised us. He was such fun and made our night brilliant. Patrick was also serving and was absolutely amazing too. Thank you to both of them and I hope we see them next year.

Had a couple of meals here while staying down the road. Great, friendly service and the food was lovely. Definitely recommend.

James and Amy could not have been more attentive, that is always appreciated as a solo traveler . I ordered the Pate, mushroom Risotto and a steak with Primotivo all was cooked and presented beautifully. The town of Conwy and its medieval castle are magical, Alfredo’s was the icing on the cake and will ensure my return whenever I’m in the area 💖

The food was great we had a lovely meal very reasonably priced the room it's self was a little dated but the food and drink more than made up for it I would recommend anyone visiting Conway to visit 👍🏻😁

I’d been looking forward to coming to eat here for ages as it was always booked up. We arrived and the place was extremely busy which is ok. We had to wait a while for our table which is also ok. After we were taken to our table it took a while to get drinks. Then it took a while for someone to take our order. After this we waited ages for our starters which arrived without one dish we’d ordered. We eventually got that after we’d finished our other starters. Our main course took at least 45 mins to arrive. We were busy chatting so we didn’t mind too much …….. until our orders arrived. I had lemon chicken which was tiny and very dry with no sauce at all. The triple cooked chips were burnt and extremely dry. My partner ordered a £35 fillet steak which was tiny. It came with no veg at all. He also got burnt so called triple cooked chips! He did get an overcooked tomato though! We are not fussy eaters but the service was terrible and the food was appalling. They took the drinks off our bill but it still came to £78 for very sub standard food. I honestly have eaten better in our work canteen. I went be returning here again.

We have eaten here quite a few times over the past few years.This time we ate at Alfredo's twice in four days. The menu has changed somewhat since the ownership changed, but we still enjoyed our meals. The Al Pomodoro Bruschetta was very fresh, sirloin steak was good and the vegetables excellent, and so was the pan fried chicken. As a vegetarian I enjoyed the mushroom risotto, although it looked rather soupy the taste was great. I also liked the quattro stagioni pizza. Only the profiteroles disappointed, being very sweet and probably a standard frozen dessert. Service was good and quite fast. Request from a vegetarian: please put blue cheese gnocchi back on the menu!

Fantastic restaurant and great staff food was out of this world along with the amazing staff and oh so good blood orange 🍊 G&T’s with aber falls gin😂😅 The sea food risotto was cooked perfectly and the chicken arrabiatta was fantastic

Visited midday on Saturday in February. Few customers but the food was delicious. They also accommodated two children in friendly manner. Sea food in particular the crab was so fresh. Local mussels top class and meaty having travelled all 300 metres from the marina. Better book in season.

Turned away at 20 to 9 despite saying it is open until 9pm and was empty. We have walked in until 9pm multiple times in the past and have never had a problem. Shame as it used to be a great restaurant.

The restaurant was almost empty on a Friday at 20:40. We were refused a table of 3 as we were told they closed at 20:30. This is a shame as this restaurant used to be extremely busy and would take tables until late.

Like your granny's idea of Italian food. Give it a miss

We had the lunch menu which seemed to be reasonably good value for money. I had the Prawns to start which were excellent. I had the pomodoro as a main which was a little too sweet. I had a affogato for desert which was somewhat dissapointing, I think you need to use good quality ice-cream with a high cream/milk content for an affogato. My parents had rissotto which was good. (could do with a garnish though). The panna cotta was very nice. I think the atmosphere would be enhanced if the music was more subtle and served as background noise rather than being too prominent. Service was excellent, thank you.

Disappointing visit, first visit under the new owners, place has lost its spark. Felt we were being pushed to take our table when we were all enjoying a drink and chat in the bar area. No toilet roll. Some meals were ok, a couple were meagre to be honest. Just didn’t feel special. Staff dressed very casually too which didn’t help.

Booked a meal on line for 1st January which they confirmed many days before, then they cancelled the evening before as they weren't even open, so why did they accept my booking and I only read their cancellation email enroute to our meal - no way to run a business or treat customers, not that I will ever be a customer of theirs again or recommend them to anybody

I stopped by while traveling. Since I was not used to traveling overseas, I was a bit nervous about eating out, and the prices were high, so I was hesitant to eat out every day, but this restaurant welcomed me in a very friendly manner as soon as I opened the door. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere inside is casual. I think it's easy for tourists to enter. The mushroom risotto I ordered was delicious on its own. The seafood linguine has a slightly British taste...^_^ I give it 5 stars for the warmth of the staff.

Just had a meal here with my Hubby for my birthday. Lovely food, lovely staff, would highly recommend.

Tired decor but a full restaurant mostly gives you the impression that it's great food. How wrong we were! Four of us dined. Waited a long time for starters which were OK but after another lengthy wait for the mains, two of our medium rare fillet steaks came out dry, grey and overdone so were sent back. However, what we did not expect was to be virtually shamed for sending them back. The waiter told us "chef is sorry about your fillet steaks, he does admit that they were overdone and stood a while. He will replace them with two sirloins out of his own money!" We eventually got two fresh medium rare sirloin, however the rest of our party had eaten their mains including a very dry looking devoid of sauce seafood linguine. I had gone past eating by the two hours later so left half of mine. They did take the steaks off the bill but it was never about the money. We did leave a tip. Very disappointing.

I was there yesterday, 10/31, with my boyfriend's family and I loved everything. Humanized service, fast, the girls were very kind, attentive, the food arrived quickly,The atmosphere was perfect, air conditioning and music: note It was my first time at this restaurant and I hope to return soon. Great tasting food and wonderful service.

Had the sea food linguini, menu described this as prepared in a creamy sauce. Firstly, my pasta was overcooked, seconit came with a tomato base which frankly tasted as though a tin of tomatoes had just been warmed up and poured onto pasta and the three muscles plus prawns only seafood I could find had been dropped on top had zero taste. When asked how my food was, I let water know it wasn't good, tasted bland,and the only response was I'll let the chef know." Obviously, it wasn't too interested rectifying the issue.

Very, very good Italian in Conwy. Food was very good. Excellent range of dishes. Service was brilliant. Just the right amount of 'intervention'... Attentive, but not overpowering. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Oh dear… first and last time … food average and service sadly very poor. Rolling of eyes at the end when we asked for the bill was the cherry on the top! It seems what was once an iconic restaurant has lost its spark! Very sad indeed.

The black beef was delicious 😋 nice to see the lights on, so you could see what's on your plate lol 👍squid starter over cooked tough as old boots 🙃 gutted to find no CONWY muscles on the menu😪as that's the only reason why I went 😫. They were so yummy, massive too, hopefully they'll get them back on the menu soon.😁🤞 but all tho, had a lovely evening with the family, great place to go and very friendly

Went to Alfredo Conway, for the first time since take over,I booked last wk it wasn't in the book so we were lucky to get a table but we went early...we ordered the garlick bread with cheese didn't come with cheese, it was half a pizza base so only four slices for the price, spaghetti Bolognese was average not much flaver,my friends pasta was quite dry ..side salad quite poor, olive bowl was ok, I found the staff quite young not very smart no adult on the floor ...very different from the other owners, only three staff on serving food so was quite slow , and one had her arm in a sling ... don't think we will be going back which is a shame I really liked it in there in the past...

We had booked a table weeks previous, when we arrived they didn’t have a table available and didn’t help when the waitress said to another member of staff ‘what are we going to do’. We had to wait at the bar and made no real attempt to clear any of the empty tables. Finally got seated nearly 20 minutes later and had the menus thrown at us and nothing from the waitress in the form of communication . We ordered food and drink. When the drink arrived the cider came with a dirty glass and the wine tasted like fruity vinegar. When the food arrived it was the wrong order at first. The food was ok nothing to really shout out about. We had to ask for the bill serval times and ended up just going to the till and waited until a member of staff paid attention to us. Overall seems like just a bunch of kids running with nobody overall in charge keeping an eye on things. Wouldn’t recommend!!

Patchy food quality - some things very good, others not so good. Staff very pleasant but we had to wait a long time for some food.

Food was ok and enjoyable but the service was unbelieveably slow. The poor waitress was really nice and was trying so hard to keep up, but she was run off her feet. We waited so long for each course. All in all we were in there for over 2 hours and we were only wanting to eat and leave. I would not go back there based on this! Which is a shame because the food was good but they definitely need to hire more people..

Leider können wir die schlechten Bewertungen in den vergangenen Wochen nur bestätigen. Da läuft etwas mächtig schief in diesem Restaurant. Das Serviceteam ist zwar freundlich aber gar nicht geschult. Dreckige Weingläser, schmuddelige und lieblos ausgeschnittene Dessertkarten und mehrere andere Kleinigkeiten. Ein wirklich übles Vanilleeis zum Dessert, bei dem auch Zutaten fehlten, schlecht gewürzte Hauptspeise, an den Nachbartischen überall unzufriedene Gesichter, weil immer etwas zu bemängeln war. Wir und auch am Nachbartisch fragte der Service, ob wir denn fertig seien, obwohl erkennbar nicht alle fertig waren. Es war alles sehr merkwürdig. Leider kein gutes Restaurant.

Wir gingen als Familie essen. Pizza war OK, aber weit ab von einer Italienischen Pizza. Leider fehlte die Frage nach Pfeffer oder Scharfes Öl. Da der Koch nicht verliebt war fehlte in den 3 Pasta Gerichten gänzlich das Salz. Bolognese fehlte die Würze wie auch bei der Carbonara die hauptsächlich nach Sahne schmeckte. Das Service Personal war meist freundlich und bemüht. Leider spürte Mann das dass Team nicht eingespielt ist.

I was over here from Australia, the staff and chef were all nice and welcoming, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was just perfect. I was a long way from home but I couldn't have asked for a more accommodating place to eat. The prices were very reasonable and I am glad that we decided to dine there

This used to be one of the best restaurants in North Wales. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. We visited on a Friday evening. Normally the place is packed, with every table taken - on this occasion it was half empty. I suppose that alarm bells should have been ringing. The menu is now severely restricted. The food can best be described as mediocre. I'd heard horror stories about other establishments that this company has taken over, but I hoped that maybe things would be different. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Over priced, underwhelming food. So bitterly disappointing.

We popped in for lunch on a day trip to Conwy and enjoyed fabulous food and great service. We had the 2 course lunch menu and were blown away by the quality and portion size for the money. Definitely worth a visit.

We often visit Conwy for a mini break and have been in this restaurant a couple of times .So the positives are that the food was excellent and the portions were adequate,I had the chicken parfait for starter and steak for main both were tasty and well cooked ,my partner had bruschetta to start and chicken as a main and again no complaints from us both on the food .The cons …well the house red wasn’t great,a little bitter with a bad aftertaste ,the online menu is out of date and as I need glasses I picked my food from the online menu and non of the food I chose was in the “new”menu ,so it was a struggle to see to pick something else .The interior is looking dated and the tables and chairs look worn and are uncomfortable.The staff weee friendly but it was hard to see who were customers due to the lack of uniform and some of the staff just looked a little scruffy , and finally the atmosphere or lack of it ..there was no background music ,and the only time the staff were smiling or interacting was when they were bring or taking food . Overall I do enjoy the food but I think these issues need addressing before regular customers eat elsewhere

Very very poor food. Atmosphere has gone. Been going to Alfredo’s for as long as I can remember, on and off. (local living family) obviously it has just been sold. But what a shock I had… Could not wait to get out of there..

Used to visit this restaurant each time we come to conway and it used to be absolutely amazing....unfortunately its now changed hands and its just not the same anymore. The food wasn't as nice as it was previously and was very average. We will not be coming back after years of always coming to this restaurant its a shame to see how much its changed and we wasn't the only people who wasn't happy tonight I overheard several complaints ans the staff didn't seem bothered Very disappointed

Mit Sicherheit kein Lokal zur Weiterempfehlung. Wir hatten uns auf eine leckere Pizza gefreut, aber Pizza gab es aus unerfindlichen Gründen nicht. Ein ital Restaurant ohne Pizza- ein Witz. Die bestellten Nudelgerichte waren okay, meine Spaghetti carbonara ertranken in Speck, dafür waren die Nudeln zu weich. Die Getränke waren am schlimmsten. Ich bestellte mir ein bitter lemon, weil ich Mineralwasser nicht mehr sehen konnte. Statt des erwarteten kühlen Softdrinks wurde ein warmes Gesöff aus bitterrm Bier miteinem Schuss Lemon serviert- echt eklig. Der Kellner verstand mein Entsetzen nicht. BItter Lemon würde msn hier immer so servieren. Was soll man da noch sagen?

So we’ve been going to Alfredo’s on and off for the past 15 years, usually 3/4 times a year when we visit Conwy. I appreciate that the new owners want to make their mark but they have made a few too many cutbacks to the menu. The atmosphere last night was not very good and why on earth were two of the new management team eating in the bar area. Christine and her team ran a well oiled ship with everyone’s favourite food choices on the menu. At one point there was actually no staff in the dining area. At this moment in time we’re not sure we will be returning, which is a great shame.

Visited for the first time since the change of ownership, the staff were just amazing with my grand children of 8 and 4 so friendly, the food and service were excellent .
