We didn’t have a booking but the lovely lady who welcomed us said she would fit us in. We ordered a drink and by the time that was sorted so was our table. Fabulous range of food choices and it was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Llandudno

The best Indian food ever. Didn't book but had a table straightaway. Super friendly staff. Had chicken chat starter. But omg, the main South Indian Garlic Chilli is possibly the best Indian food ever. Absolutely beautiful. Highly highly recommended.

A wonderful meal out! We ate here tonight during a last minute trip to Llandudno. We hadn't booked, but the waiting staff were very accommodating and showed us to a lovely window booth immediately. Our food was delicious and we decided to take the rest of our food home with us, because it was too good to waste! :-) The warm poppadoms and chutney tray to start was a lovely touch, and the selection was great. Overall - excellent food, friendly and polite waiting staff, great music and a welcoming atmosphere. Thank you 😁 Diolch

This was my third visit to The Blue Elephant and think probably my best experience. I am not usually one for booking a table but have found in the past , that it is probably best to book. This is a popular destination in Llandudno for Indian food lovers. I booked 3 hours before our meal and this was enough. My wife and I were greeted promptly and shown to our table. We perused the menu for a short time and were then served by a lady waiter for drinks and poppadoms. I usually order the same meal but as the menu offered some dishes that I had not seen before I decided to ask the waiter. I explained that I like quite a hot dish so the waiter said they could adjust the meal I had ordered. Perfect, I ordered a lamb Handi? I can honestly say it was the most tender lamb I have ever eaten , the Handi was superb and the extra chillies for my taste. Cannot recommend enough . If I had one criticism it would be the music was a bit loud ( modernish Indian music) Well done Blue Elephant see you next time.

As soon as you were in , it felt like they wanted you out for tge next table. Food was OK, nothing great though

Service was extremely slow My meal was not hot , seemed like it had been left in the kitchen before it was delivered to the table. There were lots of take away collections and probably impacted on the time we had to wait.The manager took us to the table , he seemed stressed and lacked good customer care We ordered our drinks with the food order and also requested a jug of iced tap water. We had to ask 4 times before it arrived, the water was Luke warm , no ice in the jug. Unacceptable. . I’m sure if we were ordering more drinks which had to be paid for the response from the staff would have been better I was prompted to add a tip when I paid our bill but kindly explained the dreadful service and said that I would not be paying a tip . The cashier said they were extremely short staffed but they took several take away orders and filled every table I would have liked to have been able to feedback to the manager but he was not around when we left I would not revisit this restaurant

Excellent food and service we had the set meal, absolutely fantastic meals we hadn't tried before but will certainly have again. Can't recommend highly enough.

Great venue but unfortunately a few little things spoiled the overall experience. We hadn't finished poppadoms but the starters left on the table. My tandoori was a combination of drum sticks and chicken that was on the bone, this was not as the menu suggested. Our waitress was very attentive.

Bad service pathetic food. These are Bangladeshi guys trying their hands on Indian cuisine and failing badly. Their lamb is so hard we were not even able to cut it by knife. Service was too slow and messy. I had to ask the waiter for papodoms specifically whereas he was asking it on other tables. Starter and mains all came together at once. We waited for the bill for 20 mins and then finally decided to pay at the counter. Overall in our 10 day trip to Wales, this was the worst service and food we experienced.

Visited on a Tuesday night, quite busy when arrived. Service was first rate, and the dishes arrived quickly. Staff were very friendly and accomodating, food was amazing, really nice atmosphere, would definitely visit again.

Srry it is not indian food, but this was tasteless food .Wil not recommend anyone. staff is less and service is very slow

Never had Indian food and didn’t think I would like it so much, but I was surprised at how much I loved it. Pleasant staff, ambient music was a a perfect volume, and everything went smoothly. Didn’t expect my trip to wales to include recommending an Indian restaurant to friends. The tandoori was fantastic but I can’t seem to find it in the selection for recommendations, we ordered a lot of the mixed tandoori grill dishes.

Unprofessional, an hour wait just for get food on table when the restaurant was not even that busy. Had to ask for cutlery after food was already on table.

The food is exceptional and delicious. Friendly and very kind staffs. Location is at the heart of the city centre. I would recommend to visit this place definitely to taste authentic Indian cuisine.

Booked a table for 7pm. Took another 30mins to be seated. Seems they have a policy of not turning anyone away who doesn't have a booking. Long wait to get drinks , then nearly 40 mins between starter and main course. Food was very good but in my opinion not worth the poor service and overall restaurant management. I will not be returning, sorry

Compared to Germany, Indian food in Wales is always better. All the dishes at Blue Elephant were also very good. However, the service seemed a little rushed and we found the prices to be rather high. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the evening.

We visited Blue Elephant for an evening meal whilst in Llandudno due to a recommendation and checking reviews. The restaurant itself looked lovely and was comfortable however the food was extremely bland. The meat was nice in the curries however there was just no taste and no spice. The onion bhaji’s were also dry. We love curry and eat out at least once a week in different restaurants so we know how certain curries should taste. Plain chapatis were also expensive at £2.90 each. We arrived around 9:45pm and despite not closing until 11pm, staff were mopping the floors and we felt as though they were getting ready to close. Perhaps if we arrived earlier it may have been different however they do not close until 11pm and we were finished by 10:30pm so didn’t run over time. I wouldn’t visit again.

Food did not taste good. Also the portion size of the curry is too less compared to the cost.

Read such great reviews so went with great expectations..unfortunately the food service and atmosphere didn’t live up to a good experience..food lacked flavour very bland… service non existent and atmosphere none ..best part of the meal was the pickle tray!!

From start to finish that was one of the best Indian meals we have ever eaten (and we've eaten in Bradford) the poppadoms were huge and fresh, the elephant special starter was outstanding and full of flavour and the mains were out of this world. Beware the Naga Naga special main was spicy spicy spicy and no doubt will regret that in the morning 😂😂 if in Llandudno then seriously go to the Blue Elephant you won't regret it at all

We enjoyed the Indian food at the restaurant. It was served on time. The food tasted too good. The location of the restaurant is also good. You may enjoy the view of the sea.

The food was delicious, came in good time and service was very good. Staff were friendly and servings were a good size to ensure you were able to finish everything without feeling sick.

Absolutely delicious food, couldn't recommend enough. I had onion fried rice, chicken korma, peshawari naan, partner had chicken korai. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Great sized portions, I ordered onion bhaji & got 4. Amazing food, great service, very professional, great ambience & great views over the town

Very good indian restaurant with pretty authentic indian taste, Good service and Good ambience Pros +near the touritic area + good vegetarian options + balanced taste + has variety of Indian Currys + good courteous staff + good price- quantity ratio Cons - no kids stuff like crayons / drawing pages to keep them engaged - getting parking nearby is expensive and challenging at times

Absolutely tasteless food, tried it once before and it was rubbish, heard from a neighbour that it had improved and so I returned. Nope, still rubbish. Out of the 7 dishes we ordered- 2 were tasty, the rest were bland. One of the dishes even boasted on the menu how it has EXTRA garlic, couldn't even taste garlic. Avoid!

We were warned at the start of the night about the lack of staff however the service was exceptionally slow. Organisation between staff seemed poor and arguments between staff were common. In terms of food the starter of elephant platter was good. The two mains ((chicken dupiazar and madras) were very small and extremely overpriced. The madras was way too hot and more like a phaal curry, felt like chili powder was simply dumped in it. Also chaptis are given as single which is crazy considering they cost £3 each. All together probs a bad night but food is for sure not value for money or quality.

HONEST REVIEW.. Good :- access for disabled people is awesome. Worst:- 1) Poor service, no-one has time for customers service/ no one cares. 2) Unhygienic plates, cutlery and table. 3) Royal signature garlic balty chicken gravy and signature panner kofta gravy--- both the gravies are exactly same, really??????? Fooling your customers???? Do you even know what is Kofta called as or looks like even???? If you don't know, just google or search on YouTube with any Indian chef channel and better learn it. Totally Wasted the time, energy, money ..

Best Indian I’ve ever had. The chef’s speciality’s are really well balanced and flavoursome. Such a great selection of dishes not found elsewhere. My fave is Mou’s very own patented dish made with lamb. Staff very attentive, friendly and welcoming. I will come every time I visit and recommend happily!

Great evening, delicious food I would recomend the set meal if you are not sure what to go for.

Visited on Friday 12th July. Didn’t make reservations, but wife and I were seated immediately. Onion bhaji was amazing. My lamb biriyani was flavourful. Service was good. We paid £50 for meal and drinks for two, excluding service charge. Good value for money.

Had a fab meal on Thursday night. Really tasty and good quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. Good vegan options for my husband. Looking forward to visiting again when we are next in Llandudno.

Not really one to write reviews however this place has the most friendly staff and the most beautiful Indian cuisine and I’m a firm believer of anyone who has actually eaten here will agree.

I loved the food, welsh lamb SLAPSSSS 🤤🤤🤤 i got dasundi, one of their signature dishes. I loved it. Sweet flavourful sauce and tenderrrrrr lamb pieces.good portion size too, for me it was enough for one butter naan

A fantastic meal bursting with fresh flavours. We visit here every time we are in town and would highly recommend it to anyone. The sounth Indian garlic chilli chicken is gorgeous. Service is fast and friendly. There is a stair lift for anyone who needs it.

Wish had not gone to this place.Microwaved nan breads,very soggy. There is nothing Indian about this place.The service is appalling.

One of the worse dining experience. First of all nothing Indian about this place. We received our main meal before our beers. The naan bread are from Tesco and microwaved.They are uncooked.The currys are just a mixture of Sugar and Ketchup.Chicken is just plain boiled. Our raita dish came after we almost finished dinning.And it was just a plain yoghurt with raw onion and some colour on top,and without salt. Papudums comes without sauce which you have to order separately. And the attitude of the staff is appalling. and looking at previous comments I also noticed that their behaviour towards the non-white is very discriminative.
