Mercure London Bridge in Southwark

I stayed a couple of night at your hotel , and I must highlight the outstanding service provided by the bar and the lobby staff , that truly made my stay awsome ,

We enjoyed our staying at the hotel, Nice atmosphere in the lobby area, with a great service from Alì.

Great location close to main attractions. love the decor and atmosphere. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming to us. Stopped at the bar to get some drinks, they were amazing. Everything is top notch, the drinks, staff and vibes. I would definitely recommend to come here.

Hugely positive experience from wonderful staff members for an afternoon tea at the restaurant here. We had some trouble redeeming a voucher (never trust third party voucher websites e.g. Red Letter Days) and the staff were incredibly supportive, offering a free glass of Prosecco during our hour-long debacle. The food itself was delicious, with a lot of couples around us unable to finish the portion! Would highly recommend this restaurant, not only for the good food but also the delightful staff and positive experience.

The staff, particularly Ali, truly enhanced our stay at Mercure London Bridge. His attentive service and professional demeanor made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout our visit. The stylish lobby creates an excellent first impression with its contemporary design and comfortable seating areas, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring London. The bar is a hidden gem - offering a well-curated selection of drinks in an inviting atmosphere that's ideal for both unwinding in the evening or meeting friends. The hotel's prime location near the Thames, combined with these excellent facilities and outstanding service from team members like Ali, made our stay memorable. Highly recommended - a solid 5 stars.

Good location that's all. The rest does not follow. The service is not good at all. If you have children, take a novotel.

Excellent overnight stay, friendly staff, spacious rooms and an extremely comfy bed!

I had a great stay at the Hotel overall. Though some points to improve in the restaurant. The welcome and check-in was fine and room was ready. The room was a nice size and the facilities very good. The Hotel was very central and I chose it so I could get around easily. I know the area very well and it's easy to walk to either Lon bridge or Waterloo. My parents also came to stay for a few nights when I was there and we had dinner one night. Some feedback however on the restaurant: Breakfast was fine each morning we had it. Staff were very helpful and especially the Indian staff who went above and beyond. Dinner however should be looked at. We were unable to eat there on a Sunday as it was closed. Which was very frustrating as there is no where locally to go easily. Also on another occasion the bar food option closed earlier than advertised. We did eat there on Monday but wished we hadn't. The Chef seemed to be having a nightmare. We and Four (Yes Four) other tables all had to send our steaks back. One table beside us sent his back twice. We sent two of our steaks back(underdone) and when they came back they were in-edible and had to get them refunded. The table next to ours sent both of theirs back and then one a second time as well. For a Marco Pierre branded restaurant it was very poor. Not the waiting staff's fault(they were very apologetic) but the kitchen. A real shame as I had flown from Australia and my parents from Scotland to stay together and the meal was a real waste. It put a downer on our view of the hotel which is a shame.

10 minute walk to underground ( London bridge or Southwark ) but once arrived was pleasantly surprised. Calm ambience, up to date decor and everything in good condition. Everywhere looked spotless. Most staff smiling and welcoming, however some waiting staff in restaurant at breakfast didn't welcome me or smile at me as I sat having breakfast. Maybe new? Need training I think.. Excellent breakfast choice but all self service, even tea and coffee. Set me up for the day walking round London. Had evening meal in restaurant and although limited choice, couldn't fault it. A bit too far to walk for me from the tube but would recommend it

We had a memorable anniversary stay at the Mercure London Bridge Hotel, thanks to the exceptional service from staff members Mathew, Anissa, Anica, Joana, and Paramodh. Their warm hospitality, combined with a comfortable, well-appointed room, made our experience truly special. The hotel’s breakfast options were excellent, offering a variety of choices to start the day right. Highly recommended for a perfect London getaway!

The hotel, the rooms, the breakfast, the lobby, everything was impeccable. The only downside is the daily change of towels when we are used to changing them on demand (more eco-responsible). But otherwise, perfect. There is a bus stop at the foot of the hotel and lots of restaurants all around.

Could you please check the veracity of the comments? Our experience does not match at all and in my in my opinion the positive reviews of this hotel are false.The rooms are in poor condition (see photo), all linens are stained. The staff are not trained. They gave a key card to our room to another couple! How could this happen? We had a very bad experience. We wanted to change hotels but they refused to refund us the remaining nights if we left. Outrageous

Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Great central location, next to the Tate Modern and near to London Bridge and Southwark tube (which goes direct to Wembley Park if you're off to Wembley which we were). The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and staff took into account my nieces nut allergy. We had to ask for cups, cutlery and bowls on both days but the staff sorted that pretty quickly. The hotel foyer is lovely and the room was clean with comfy beds. Thank you for a great stay :)

Excellent hotel with really spacious, modern rooms. The foyer area and bar are really nice. It's situated in a really vibrant area of London. All the staff encountered seemed really friendly.

Establishment close to London “spots” such as Tower Bridge, London Tower or Borough Market. Between the past and the present… A comfortable “four star”. Elegant rooms. Only downside: from a French channel, no French-sounding television, among the multitude of channels. Almost unthinkable!

Nice hotel. Mostly helpful staff. The room had aircon but it only blew air, it didnt cool it. Coolest was 18 although colleagues told me theirs went down to 16 and worked. Only one coffee machine that wasnt able to do black americano and always seemed to require queuing at breakfast

Enjoyed my stay here for 5 days. 1st time in London and area is close to most places. Borough markets and train station when needed. Taxis very easy to organise with reception. Room & bed were clean and comfortable. Area is very safe, something I was worried about in the beginning but it’s very safe. I walked to most places morning, day & night no worries. Value for $. Would book here again for sure. Thanks team Mercure London Bridge.

Had a lovely stay at the Mercure, with helpful staff and a lovely breakfast. The rooms are decently sized and well equipped with refreshments, toiletries and bedding. The refillable water decanter was a nice - good to see eco-friendly touches. The gym is small but has everything you need. Luggage storage is also available :)

Never coming back. Stressful experience for checking in. Complaining that we had a baby 2yo that would share a bed with us (we also asked for a crib), but complaining that we didn’t include her in the reservation and so she had to charge us. After keeping our luggage the entire day and did not mentioned anything when we dropped the luggage’s off in the morning, made us wast time in the reception with arguments - after a long day out with kids. We always stay with Mercury in many other cities, never had the same issue. Opposite than this, if we ever had anything with a hotel, they always gave us an upgrade and welcomed us. This location was rude and illogical. Walk away from this place. Not worthy any price!

The worst cappuccino ever and expensive, awful service from the stuff speaciali from a Spanish woman bartender *(ignorance all the time) twice the cappuccino was made from the drains grounds . And 4,35 £ pay for nothing, shame ...! Avoid the bar and this place 😶

Comfortable and clean room. Very unhelpful staff at reception. Also, no member of staff had a clue about special dietary requirements or what breakfast options are available for someone requiring gluten free food.

Nous avons trouvé un hôtel d’abord bien situé, facile à rejoindre depuis le centre par quelques stations de métro et quelques minutes de marche. Le quartier est très modernisé mais propose beaucoup de choses. L’hôtel est très agréable , notre chambre très bien isolée et bien tempérée nous y avons très bien dormi. L’accueil de l’hôtel était formidable (merci à Babayes et Nick notamment). Nous reviendrons volontiers dans cet hôtel.
