The hotel may need some renovation, but the reception and bar are fashionable and nicely decorated. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very tasty, the bar had a very nice atmosphere, it was nice to sit and have a drink in the evening. The employees were nice and friendly.

Not a lot to fault really. A long queue at reception on check in was not the best start, but I surmise that from the intense attention that the receptionist George was paying to his computer screen he was having difficulties. He didn’t say anything but the slight signs were there. It wasn’t helped by someone ahead of me in the queue apparently only wanting to pay for parking. However he was courteous and friendly. My room (520) was all you would expect from this standard of hotel, clean and well maintained, although I feel that at this price point a box of tissues in the bedroom wouldn’t go amiss. Breakfast was buffet style, with all the usual suspects. High quality food, well cooked. Shame about the fire alarm on my last afternoon, but at least it did the job it is supposed to. Shame about the lack of hot water on my last morning, but all in all a decent hotel that I WILL return to in the future.

We ordered the lentil soup for our appetizer and for our main meal, the roasted pork with a vegetable medley and mash potatoes. For our dessert we ordered strawberry cheese cake. Everything was delicious. The servers responsive.

Really well located in centre of Inverness and with car park this hotel was a good choice for a two night rest before travelling the NC500. Our room was very spacious. Large comfy bed. Good shower room. We ate out for meals as there is an abundance of places to eat breakfast and evening meal so cannot comment on the restaurant but it seems popular with other guests. Enjoyable stay for us.

Stayed here with my partner for a weekend in Inverness. Really central for everywhere and just 2 mins from railway station. Room was lovely with a nice view if the river. Hotel breakfast was good, bar was nice, staff very pleasant - Natalie on reception was very helpful, giving us lots of info on what to see, where to go for food and drinks etc. Would def stay here again!

We had an exceptional overnightstay. From the minute we arrived we had a very warm welcome from the reception staff. Our room was a beautiful privilege room with a fabulous view of the river, we had a coffee machine, kettle etc. The room was very spacious with a super king size bed and a lovely settee to relax on. The walk in shower was great for me as I have a mobility issue. The restaurant staff were ran off their feet as only two plus the manager serving, however they made us feel very special as they were very attentive and couldn't have done enough to make our experience special. The food was beautiful and plenty of it, so much so we couldn't find the space to even have a desert, we had coffee instead. We had been upgraded from a previous stay and were given a beautiful bottle of prosecco with our meal. I would just like to thank Lexi ( Manager) and all her efficient staff for a beautiful stay and we will definitely be back whenever we return to Inverness.

We had some really delicious cake and tea. I would definitely recommend the banana chocolate cake and the apple caramel cake. The service was really nice and I would definitely stop there again.

Food was nice and service was, for the most part, friendly. One server seemed to be having a bad day. Brusque and barely civil. Very expensive for what was served.

Lucky to find that dinner was available on one of the nights. The meal was excellent. Extremely well cooked, presented and served. Don't miss the opportunity to eat there if you can. Elaine is a great cook/chef.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.
