This is the indoor market in Glasgow

Merchant Square became my favorite place with its shopping and restaurants, walking path and quiet and peaceful side streets.

Rather busy and very noisy music from places was clashing. Got served in O'Neils quite fast. Not really my scene tbese days.

Used to come in for a heat, relax and use the WiFi, now it's always cold it's like i never left the house.

Sunday lunch , was very busy so service was a little slower , the food was excellent and Caitlin was the perfect server

Great part of the city, so many good pub and restaurant options, must visit if in Glasgow, Irish bars, vodka bars lots of different selections, food options also very good.

Love Merchant city, a vibrant place with a great atmosphere 🥂🍾

Nice area for events and several eateries.

Used to be a lot better, but know it's not as nice. Also, to get to the toilets, you had to follow A4 bits of paper taped to walls and doors up some stairs and corridors, one corridor had very little lighting and was covered in graffiti.

Restaurants with good variety, although average quality. The day I visited it was raining and the floor is wet due to leaks.

We were treated quite shabbily by very abrupt bar staff towards the end of our evening in O'Neiils bar. Served a round of drinks about 11.25 pm , then basically hassled to move on.

Lovely but i feel underused refurbed part of glagow merchant city's old fruitmarket. Many restaurants have come and gone since its inception. Always nicely decorated at christmas Restaurants and pubs are expensive. 🥺

It's been a while, but love this place. The bonus was there was a family event on fir St Patricks Day and I had late lunch booked in adjoining restaurant with friends. Time to watch the show and a visit to O'Neills

A fabulous indoor attraction. Craft fares at weekends all surrounded by good pubs and restaurants - all indoors. Passing through on a Saturday when the artisan's market was on. Great stuff.

On a very cold day was great refuge from the cold and a tasty lunch in O'Neil.. would be great on a night out

It was like being outside, but inside. There were tables and chairs outside! In Glasgow! When I was young we called that an eviction.

Like a ghost town on Friday nights and I feels it could close down any day now. The hustle and bustle and lovely atmosphere is gone and it's full of empty units. A real shame

More closures than restaurants open craft fair consisted of around 4 stalls.

Went during the Christmas period - the markets with all the Christmas lights is such a vibe.

Booked for Christmas Dinner. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Surprised that most other places were closed it being holiday season.

Fantastic indoor market, with friendly vendors and a wide selection of crafts.

Went for drinks here for Feyenoord against Celtic.

There was a very nice craft Christmas Market, all the vendors were really nice and it was a very good oportunity to get gifts.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean environment, great food and great prices, the sauce for the mussels was beautiful and tasty and the roast was amazing. We will definitely come back 😊

Visited market after lunch at Table 28....bought 2 birthday cards from a stall and was given a free doodle of myself....lovely, friendly man.

Merchant Square is great for getting away from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow city centre. A quiet haven to have drink or something to eat in bar/restaurants such as the Metropolitan. A winner for sure.

We had a gift voucher for Metropolitan inside Merchant Square and couldn't be more impressed. The food is definitely pricey but the quality was amazing- I would really recommend the fillet steak. The entire Square has a great atmosphere and is a great venue to start a night out.

Yeah it was OK.. waited too long for food in my opinion..my friend had to send hers back cos it was cold...although I liked my sausages 😂.....won't be rushing back...

Places starting to close down and atmosphere not as 'buzzing' as it once was on a Saturday evening.

This upscale venue is a popular destination for restaurants and boutique shops.

Nice selection of bars & restaurants. Visited mid week so wasn't much atmosphere but I'm sure very lively at night & weekends.

Lovely big pub. Clean with friendly staff. Was on the expensive side but very good. Tried the pizza which was excellent.

Went for afternoon tea l have a problem climbing stairs but guy says follow me...2 flights he didn't even mention there was a lift😭 been there before and it was ground level. 😞

Came here over the Christmas period when the market was on and as the city is so big there were two different ones but the music was nice and loud and they had themselves a great atmosphere! As this was Glasgow of course it was raining but this didn’t stop us! We got to see all the Christmas lights and the market and it was just a whole other experience and it was something I would always do whenever we go up to Glasgow.

Great venue, love the atmosphere there.

Fantastic venue at any time, particularly on cold and wet days. There are bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. You can just sit in a warm dry place with a coffee and people watch! But best of all is the craft fair at the weekends, all the items on sale were made or produced by the stallholders.

It's beautiful, especially at night. The ceiling is a dome of twinkling lights that give a cosy welcome. There are a few delicious eateries, cocktail bars, and a great pub to watch the rugby or football and sample some Irish stew.

I've visited this place on a few occasions during work lunch hours and honestly I really like it. Around that time it's quite quiet but in a good way. Decent selection of food and drink to choose from.

El verdadero centro de la Glasgow de hoy es Merchant City. Su corazón es George Square, donde se pueden visitar las victorianas Glasgow City Chambers –gratuitamente dos veces al día–. Las arterias principales del barrio son Buchanan Street, Argyle Street e Ingram Street, que se llenan de músicos callejeros incluso en los fines de semana más fríos, como el de noviembre en el que estuvimos por la ciudad. Por cierto, si ves unos pequeños quioscos azules con tiendas de snacks o perritos calientes, que sepas que originalmente eran… ¡estaciones de policía!. La calle Ingram acaba en Royal Exchange Square, la plaza en la que se alzan la Gallery of Modern Art y la famosa estatua de Wellington con un cono de tráfico en la cabeza, convertida en uno de los símbolos de la ciudad. En Merchant City están también los antiguos almacenes de los Tobacco Lords, los comerciantes que en el siglo XVIII se hicieron ricos con el tabaco de las colonias, transformados en pubs y restaurantes.

That's great place, stalls for different things , arts , photography etc. And good no of restaurant and Bar !

Great place with many restorants and pubs sharing the indoor garden space. At times there are market stalls inside so it can get busy. Big variety of cuisines to choose from and Oneils open till late with good music, sports screens and indoor and outdoor area.

Was there at 3pm nearly empty 😳

Merchant Square is still as great now as it was 20 years ago. Some of the venues have changed names but the atmosphere that is created is electric. Eat, Drink, Dance, Socialise all under one roof. One of Glasgows best places hands down.

Went for a meal to Steak Cattle & Roll. Service was slow. Ordered steaks - veg & fries were hot but very disappointed in steaks as they were cold. Pointed this out to the Manager who offered replacement. The point being they should not have been cold in 1st place. Disappointing meal.

Quiet Tuesday afternoon Little atmosphere

I moved to Glasgow as a student and as I came I seen ppl here are very friendly and welcoming so is the city and the city is very beautiful and filled with places to vist

Lots of great venues! Super loud on a weekend afternoon :-) but if you like that atmosphere, kudos to you! Across the street at the Mharsanta was more calming.
