Beautiful terrace, the food is fine and the service can be faster and better, but definitely would come back there for the atmosphere

Great place. We had our 1st Jan lunch there to celebrate the new year 🤗 I had the cauliflower main veggie and it was delicious and filling. For starter I got a pumpkin soup, then the main and we shared a dessert.

This restaurant does not suit the reviews I see here. We came as a family of 8 for Christmas dinner and it was truly the WORST meal I’ve ever experienced for the price. $85 pounds for a 3 course meal and we were told that the cook “knew the turkey was dry and added more sauce to try and cover it up” For the price you’d think that they would take some pride in their food, especially for one of the only places open for a Christmas meal for tourists. The wine was fantastic but the turkey was dryer than the Sahara desert. Truly disappointed that they would serve such an AWFUL meal to people Coming to visit over Christmas. I would leave a 0 for the food if I could.

Came here for dinner with in-laws who were staying nearby. Waiters were friendly and served us very well, atmosphere was excellent. And the food was delicious, we sent our compliments to the chef as it was the best we've had over the festive period. Would come again!

The food was excellent, but the service left a bit to be desired. Some of my guests got their sides *after* they finished their main. You wonder, how difficult is it to serve 4 side potions of vegetables *with* the main course? At almost £80 per head, I am afraid expectations are high.

The reviews for this restaurant do NOT match the experience we had - I’m confused why people enjoy the food here. The food was overcooked and dry. Our Christmas Day dinner was very disappointing - furthermore they charged $85pp for a 3 course meal. The butternut squash soup might have been the better course and I wish I knew that because I would have eat a bit more since I couldn’t eat my main or dessert. The turkey main course was truly disgusting. Turkey was so dry that the kitchen tried covering it up with a “soya” sauce type gravy. Everything on the plate was either mushy or dry - WAY OVER COOKED! I generally don’t leave reviews that could hurt a business but I couldn’t say nothing when I left so disappointed. Furthermore ALL 8 of us left there saying this was a horrible meal.

we had a really wonderful time here coming in for afternoon tea. we made a reservation through the fork and they didn't have a record of it but they were so wonderful and accommodating, fitting us in when they really didn't have the space and ensuring we had a wonderful time. would absolutely go back there again.

We booked an afternoon tea experience to be told upon arrival that they only serve afternoon tea on the weekend, even though their website allows you to book it any day and there is no visible notice on the website. What was shocking to hear was that they knew about this website glitch as they had other customers in the past going through the same disappointment and the staff said they can t do anything about it…. Absolutely shocking!!! So i took a day off work to enjoy an afternoon tea which wasn’t available. Furthermore, their lunch menu is extremely limited with main option really only steak and lamb and a fish which i end up having. Also not that it would’ve made a difference but they didn’t even offer a glass of Prosecco or a desert complimentary which in my opinion would’ve been a nice touch considering the major inconvenience caused. Safe to say we will not return nor recommend.

Great rooftop ambience spoiled by dry chicken, bag salad with no dressing and argumentative staff. Glass got broken and dropped into customer drinks as a waiter reached across the table "I can get you another one, but you'll have to pay for it, it wasn't my fault!"

Food is exceptional. Staff are polite and always with smiles. Cozy and warm atmosphere. Only downside is the restaurant was smaller than I thought. Therefore, tables are quite close to each other. You can hear everything people on the next table close to you talking. Other than that it is a really lovely place for friends and family. We had a great time and we will definitely come back.

Me and my wife visited Mercer roof terrace on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. We ordered a nibble, 1 starter, 2 mains (rib eye steak & chicken), 1 side and a bottle of wine. The view was good and the atmosphere promising for a great night. However, at first we had to ask for the olives which arrived on the table after the wine and the starter. We also had to wait 25-30 min for the mains although the restaurant didn't seem to be full and busy. I had ordered my steak medium rare which arrived more cooked than I wanted so after I cut it without tasting, I asked the supervisor to check who confirmed and immediately offered to change. Second attempt was even worse as the steak was even more cooked to well done. I then asked to see the chef who also confirmed about the cooking and apologized by offering me another one. I refused as my wife had finished her meal and I had no intention of waiting for more to eat alone. I just asked for the bill and the steak to be removed from. It was also the first time I asked the service charge to be removed as the waiter came only once to our table to pick up the empty plates. Guys you have to do better than this when you price your menu for an overcooked steak and 2 chicken thighs. Nice touch the apologizing desert we were offered for my wife's birthday but unfortunately didn't change the whole experience.

What a hidden gem. Tucked away down a random side street. I was pleasantly surprised when we went in up the fancy elevator to the top floor. Service was good amd food was better. To my relief you get proper portions. The views are pretty good too. Shame I didn't get a clear day. Everyone was happy with their selection which shows it's a quality place. I'll be back to bring others to this place so i can try more of the menu. Recommended.

What a little gem. Amazing place on a rooftop. It flagged up on my phone and took the plunge and booked due to a festival food deal. What an amazing meal. Throughly enjoyed everything including the ambience and staff. A perfect evening. Food was top class and the atmosphere amazing. Sun was shining and the staff are so friendly! Full of smiles and helpful. Shame I didn’t have company!! :) well done. A place I will be visiting again with work colleagues!!

Best Ribeye in London so far! Amazing service and even when is cold you can enjoy the beautifull view outised as you have heaters all over your head!

We had an amazing meal here as a couple. I was a little worried after seeing some of the reviews but I must say our experience was absolutely far from this. The service was welcoming and attentive but not rushed. We had a selection of cocktails and wine, all were great. We shared a charcuterie board which was served nicely, a good portion and tasted great. For mains we had the trout and burger and I must say the burger was the best I’ve ever eaten. We would definitely return.

Initial front of house left menus on chair and said wait for her to clean table - as chairs and floor a right mess. Table got a wipe. Food - fish and chips - fish was light battered and oily. Replaced with Trout despite asking for sea bream. Roast chicken was awful - skin stuck to chicken and nothing crisp - almost like boiled chicken. Too few chips to comment. Salad was sad. Note to self to not return that did not leave either of us feeling well

Lovely rooftop bar, in a great location. The service was impeccable and although we didn't have food it looked amazing. The views were also lovely. If you're looking for somewhere a little special this is your place!

Booked a table for 4 including a child, all staffs made us feel very welcomed, and we could sit inside one of the cabins outside the rooftop and could enjoy the sunset with delicious food! Highly recommended and will definitely come back!

Our overseas family guest and our family had a delightful afternoon tea experience with a lovely view. While there were a bit too many sweets for our liking, the afternoon tea displays were adorable and so royally! The manager and staff were welcoming and attentive to our requests, and the food was also excellent.

We booked a table for 2 on NY eve, the late shift. First i'd like to start off with some things we did enjoy about this place. The staff was very friendly and nice, on the informal side but thats personally how we like it. The location is also very nice, even when you can only partially see the fireworks, the view is still stunning from the terrace. The restaurant itself is cosy aswell, the tables are not too closely packed together and the overall atmosphere is cosy. However, we felt the price for our evening was too high for the food and service we received. We paid 400+ pounds for two 5 course menu's, 1 bottle of wine, 1cocktail and a coffee. Starting off with the menu, it is described as a 5 course menu, however, the first course consisted of 2 pieces of bread and goats cheese to share (much like the bread you get on the side at other restaurants). The next course was smoked salmon. There wasn't any bread served to accompany this course (aside from the left over bread from the first course) so we asked for some more bread. We received some bread but it was charged as extra. The bread, salmon, aswell as the main course tasted good but didn't feel as refined as we expected them to be in a rooftop restaurant on top of a luxury hotel. After the main course there was toast with fig and brie. The taste was fine, but the course consisted of a slice of roasted brioche with some fig confit and figs on top and a brick of brie. Barely any plating or work put into the dish. Aside from that the course was served on different plates for me and my partner and my partner also didn't get any fig pieces on his plate. The dessert after was nice. Overall the food was ok but not What you would expect of a 150P menu (excl. The service charge). Then onto the service. The staff was friendly but didn't say what they were serving up when putting the plates on the table. They just put the plates down and went away. We heard a neighbouring table ask about what they were serving and the waiter couldnt even answer.. The plates also arrived really quick, we aswell as the neighbouring tables had to ask to slow down the courses so we didn't have to just sit and wait from 10.30 with no more courses to come. Then the doorknob to the terrace broke off and staff had to lodge something in between the doorframe so they could still go outside, leaving the door openend for the rest of the night. Safe to say even though it was warmer than other winters outside, the draught still wasn't really pleasant... Aside from the cold air the service got a lot more chaotic close to our table (as we were seated closely to the door) and some waiters were very visibly annoyed/irritated after this occurence, which is understandable but not really professional. Then by the end of the night when we went up to pay the staff didn't give us the right bill. They noticed after we paid, and we eventually managed to pay the extra 15P difference. After all this, the discretionary service fee was still added without mentioning. It would have been nice at this point if they had offered to waive the fee (we would have paid it anyhow as the staff was nice and we knew the evening was going to be a rather expensive one) due to the cold wind blowing in or the chaotic service. So overall, the food and staff is nice, but rather overpriced (even when taking the location and the fact that it was New year's eve into account).

Just incredible. Everything about the food, service, venue. Wonderful.the deserts are pretty rich so if you've had a starter and the lovely steak prior - be warned! Didn't stop me though,too good to resist. Best restaurant I've been to in London to date!

We spent a birthday 🎂 at this place. It is located in a restaurant. Great view over London. The starters were really yummy, especially the bread was exceptional. The chicken was OK, didn't think it was amazing. Good service every waiter was really kind and professional. We asked to get moved inside as outside was a bit chill, inside there was no music so thought the atmosphere lacked a bit. Overall, it was nice and would come back in the future.

A great location, but very disappointing food. Probably the driest pork belly I have ever had the misfortune to eat. It was honestly unpalatable and I gave half mine to my partner because it was just too chewy. Food presentation was pretty but the food was just nicer to look at than eat. We had to explain our order multiple times. We had 2 aperol spritz, 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 desert and it cost a whopping £130, which would’ve been fine if it was good food. The desert was a cheese platter and it was the most basic cheese, not fresh and the blue cheese was black at the edges and had other bits of cheese stuck underneath. Honestly, such a shame for a beautiful location. Would not recommend.

Booked for a special occasion with my boyfriend - thing that was specified in the booking and there was also an added note when I booked to kindly get a corner table on the terrace, if it was possible (note: terrace was empty, apart from one other table, when we arrived). I will say that the whole place is beautifully decorated and the reception people downstairs were really nice. The staff on the terrace, though, seemed quite oblivious to requests and inexperienced in general. Even though it was specified on the booking, when we got there we were asked if we wanted a table inside or on the terrace and then throughout the whole evening, although they had a total of about four tables, we were severely overlooked. The waiter we had at first seemed entirely unenthusiastic to be there, and he brought us lipstick marked glasses when serving our water; then, the other waiter who took over in his place seemed quite inexperienced with the drinks menu/knowledge in general when asked about a certain spirit; then, our drinks were served at different times, the “old-fashioned” which turned out to be the “boulevardier” was served to the wrong person and confused with the latter, and finally when the actual “old fashioned” actually came, it was first presented to the table next to us (which, by the way, arrived after us and was treated a lot better throughout the evening, and towards whom the staff were SO much more attentive) and we had to signal to the waitress that it was actually for us. In terms of food, I cannot really complain, it was good, my boyfriend said he had one of the best lambs there, and my vegetarian dish was good too. I will say, though, that there isn’t much choice for vegetarians/vegans, with like, one dish per course that you can “pick” from. All in all, looking at both food and service, the overall experience lacked a lot and I can’t say we’ll be back any time soon after that. For the price of everything, it was certainly not worth it. I do hope the staff will receive better training in the meantime so that no one else will have to experience what we did.
