The mixed sharer was very generous with kofte, shish, lamb ribs, chicken wings, and rice. The lamb and aubergine starter was very good. In contrast, the merlot and sauvignon wines were disappointing and not of the same standard. The dips were very good, albeit on the small side.

This is an amazing place and excellent value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Lily our waitress. I would recommend booking as it gets very busy, even midweek. We had a sharing platter which was more than enough for two of us. Can’t wait to go again

Went with friends it’s a large restaurant with Turkish style meat counter. Food is genuinely Turkish with some family recipes. There are some veggie options as well as the traditional meat options. You get a free salad with the mains and the mains are massive, luckily they have takeaway containers to hand for the leftovers.

Monday evening, restaurant was busy we were a table of 4 and chose the mixed meze starter x 4. The variety of dishes both hot and cold was great. There must have been about 6 or 8 cold and 5 hot items. We really enjoyed the food. We will order less next time to try the mains! Atmosphere was bustling and quite loud, making it a bit tricky to have a conversation. Pay car park right behind the restaurant. Superb value.

We enjoyed a truly fabulous meal last night. 3 old friends with varying tastes, we all found plenty of really tasty dishes to enjoy. The portions are generous, it’s an open kitchen so you can watch your selections being cooked. The service was impeccable, happy staff, nothing was too much trouble. Exceptional value for money. A truly great culinary experience. Thank you!

Well... salad not fresh, not tasty, nothing of vinaigrette or bit of olive oil. Sauces a little sparse. We order a platter for 2 people. In it 1 quarter (one quarter) of a grilled tomato and 1 grilled (?) pepper, that's it. Meat, what an abundance, fully well-done, but... without "soul", tastes bit "chemical" and everything is identical & unrecognizable. Rice was inaccessibly hidden under a pile of meat. There are 2 or 3 servants, it works. There are no less than 6 (six) men in the kitchen there, but.... do they really know that cooking can be more than just roasting meat and throwing it on a plate of rice? A few hot sauces can really do wonders. One person with a solid training as a cook is missing here. Then you immediately need 3 men less in the kitchen. Work to be done, I would say.

Tasty, authentic Turkish cuisine. Lovely charcoal barbecued meat, especially lamb. Reasonably priced. Friendly, efficient service.

A buzzy atmosphere and the food and service was excellent. Genuinely huge portions so be warned! Reasonable bill as well.

to be honest, I have been in so many Turkish restaurant I never had bad experience how I do have in this restaurant. I was waiting for the food 45 minutes and one of the staff comes to me informed that they run out of rice and 5 min late the table next to me which they joined letter gave a rice…how was possibles

Popped out for an impromptu meal last night & found ourselves in Meram Kitchen - what a jewel in the middle of Christchurch! Fabulous staff, amazing food and wonderful atmosphere !!!! We will definitely be back! To the lovely waitress who looked after us ….. all we can say is “Wow!” Xxxx

One of the best meals i’ve had, ever! For sure the best Turkish food. Wonderful quality meat, rice etc cooked to perfection. The service was wonderful, especially Lilly who was charming, warm and very attentive.

Came here tonight for my wife’s birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly, and the food my word was amazing. We had Mezze to start, which we absolutely loved, would recommend to anyone getting. We then also had the meram platter for two for main, the meat was amazing and tasty. Couldn’t quite finish it all, so took some back in a box for tomorrow. They also brought out Baclava celebration desert, which was the tastiest thing we’ve had, which is made by their mother fresh. We chatted with the owner Veli and he is lovely alongside his brother. Best place I’ve been and would 100% be booking to come back and recommend to anyone. Pics attached. Thank you Meram.

Meat was GREAT. Salad was good, bread was good.. we turned up very late but service was great, food was very good (although took a little).. overall 4.5/5 stars, but on the pricey side but lovely food and service. Would deffo recommend and if you give the guys prep time etc I think they would be deffo worth a night out here.

The plate of complementary starters was a nice surprise but meant neither of us could eat all the main course. Very good food reasonable price for wine lovely staff

A very beautiful restaurant, I highly recommend it and all the staff, without exception, we ordered shish tawook and chicken wings, and the employee Veil honored us with a plate of baklava made from his mother’s hands and two tea as hospitality. I will repeat the visit again to this beautiful restaurant❤️

Absolutely by far the best place we ate at during our weeks stay in Bournemouth, staff very friendly and attentive , chefs working hard behind the scenes cooking some absolutely amazing food. We will definitely visit again, because this place is amazing .

Fantastic food and exceptional service, we went for lunch and it was nice and relaxed. The service was actually the best I’ve experienced for a long time and the attentive waiter (Veli) who is actually the owners son was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was very very good, I’m going to remember it for a long time and will dream of eating their Ali Nazik, it really is to die for. Big bonus is you can see the food being prepared from an open kitchen and restaurant is exceptionally clean. I’m gluten free and this restaurant really knows their menu and can clearly advise on the options available, they even provided me gluten free bread but I didn’t have room as the rest of the food was so good I didn’t have room for it! For the price it was such good value. Thank you so much Meram Kitchen for making our visit so memorable. Veli you are fabulous at your job and we hope to see you next time we visit the UK.

I recently visited Meram Kitchen to commemorate my girlfriend's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. The quality of the food was exceptional, with generous portions that truly satisfying. A special shoutout to Eren and Levi for their outstanding service-they made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured our evening was perfect. It was my first time trying traditional Turkish tea, and it was delightful. The freshly handmade baklava, prepared daily by their mom, was a unique and delicious treat that added a personal touch to the meal. I can't recommend Meram Kitchen enough; it's undoubtedly the best Turkish restaurant I've ever been to.

Visited impromptu last night with some friends and what a great little find! They have an extensive menu, lots of food and drink choices and our server Veli was very knowledgeable and helpfully informative for our groups dietary requirements. The fresh bread and dips that was brought out complimentary before the main courses was an unexpected bonus; special mention to the beetroot dip which was divine. The main meal portions were very generous in size and the service was quick without feeling rushed. Definitely recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Surprise find for a lovely and authentic /traditional Turkish meal in Christchurch on the way back to the ferry today. Koftas and stuffed vines leaves with a really tasty Turkish Salad washed down with Efes beer and very attentive service. Genuine warmth and hospitality - which many other restaurants could take lessons from - from a fairly new but clearly well organised family business taking pride in what they do. Group of over 30 people had buffet. No staff asked if it was good, no staff asked if we would like more drinks, no staff offered water. Overall the whole experience was acceptable.

This is the best Turkish restaurant I have been to in Dorset. Staff is very friendly and welcoming and the place is clean and beautiful. Specifically Veli as he was fantastic and definitely exceeded all expectations by a long shot. The food was absolutely amazing I would definitely come over and over again. My family and I devoured the food. We couldn’t have enough of it.

My wife and I happened upon this place and decided to try it out, and honestly it was superb! The hosts are very welcoming and friendly, taking time to explain some of the menu items and chat, and the food is really, really good. In addition to our starters (which were delicious) we received a complimentary salad, bread basket and selection of dips, all of which were very enjoyable, and our mains were so substantial that neither of us could finish (and I'm not easily beaten!). We finished we baklava, which was unbelievably tasty! I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and will most definitely be returning!

Great food and excellent friendly service

An overall enjoyable evening with the majority of the food a pleasure to eat. However, I was disappointed with service, main meals arrived before we finished our shared meze. Prawn Tava was the only let down, which did not have much flavour.

First time at Meram Kitchen on Friday night and will definitely be back. A lovely cold mezes selection to start (the carrot based dip was particularly good) and a lambs liver dish for main. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Lovely staff.

I cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. We came down from London and the food is (and I am not exaggerating) out of this world! Beautiful flavours, tender meat and so delicious I could've had seconds! Massive choice so something for everyone. The ambience was lovely too with attentive staff and a warm welcoming atmosphere. If you are in Christchurch, you seriously need to pay this establishment a visit! You will not ne disappointed!

We went to Meram for my birthday dinner and truly enjoyed all the food,service was excellent and the Turkish wine was bliss from the 1st sip to the last. We highly recommend here for a real taste of Turkey.

Had a lovely meal last night. Was surprised by everything bought at the start, and I probably ate too much as I struggled to finish my main, which is now in my fridge for lunch today. The settling was fine and the staff were excellent. Tried the Turkish coffee, when you get near the end of your coffee don't go any further as the bottom is solid coffee. Tried the Turkish spirit, Raki, might give it a miss next time, maybe not for me.

Had an incredible evening here. As well as my company, it had friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Food was fantastic quality, bursting with flavour and very reasonable. I can't wait to visit again.

Went here today for lunch with my family. It's a really lovely restaurant, great service, and the food was absolutely amazing! Finished everything! The only disappointing thing was that I didn't have any room for dessert! Next time!

Great food I was a bit cold in there though

After hearing about this olace from many others I decided to give it a try. Was told to make a booking but took a chance and arrived around 8pm. Luckily there was a table available. Ordered chickrn shish. Chicken wings, Lamb shish, Ali nazik, iskender adana, meze platter both hot and cold.... I have been to many Turkish restaurants around the world and I can assure you this one will not be remembered. Tasteless meat, over expensive food and dull. Small portions as well. If you are in the area I would stick with the more decent version of this one " antepli "
