Mendes Restaurante in Ealing

Awful experience. Had a few drinks to be told to leave due to accidentally spilling water on the ground. The language from the manager was disgusting. I was on social media which she was aware of. When I asked why she wants me to leave she said im not hygiene and to go f**k my mother". She then revealed her pub address knowing I'm on live social media. She was very aggressive and I'll be taking this further. Avoid manager extremely rude.

A hidden gem in Acton. Lovely food, excellent service, and very good live music. 10/10 would recommend. We’ll come back!

Cené allí hoy con mi esposo y fue, con mucho, la peor comida que tuve que pagar. Pedimos bacalhau a lagareiro (receta típica donde el bacalao es a la brasa y las papas al horno) y el entrecosto na brasa (también a la brasa). En menos de 5 minutos, la comida estaba sobre la mesa y, sentados en la cocina, no pudimos ver comida en la parrilla. Terminé obteniendo costillas al horno (cuando me preguntaron al respecto me dijeron que bien la parrilla tarda demasiado en encenderse, así que decidieron darme costillas al horno sin siquiera informarme del cambio (???). así como las papas, todas las verduras en el plato se descongelaron directamente de la bolsa de verduras congeladas de Islandia. Esto fue un desastre absoluto. Soy portugués, conozco bien mis recetas y realmente me dolió pagar casi 40 por recalentar no hecho por encargo comida. No volveremos.

Cenamos para dos el sábado por la noche. Buen servicio, comida y vino. Gran mesa de fiesta al lado de nosotros fue divertido y no hay problema. Seis gambas grandes con buena salsa de ajo tenían una buena relación calidad-precio a las 8. Los platos principales eran igualmente sabrosos y alrededor de 15 excelentes en calidad y cantidad. El filete de ternera ensartado (piccanha) era muy tierno y suficiente para dos, vino con ensalada de patatas fritas y arroz. El pulpo (polvo) vino a la parrilla en una cazuela de barro directamente del horno. Era un tierno tentáculo, dulce y venía con verduras y papas nuevas. Nuestra botella de vinho verde de Moncao fue una buena elección. Vino Alvarinho que complementa la comida. Teníamos dos copas de vino tinto, que era bastante bueno para el vino de la casa. La pareja propietaria de esta pequeña gema querky vino y saludó. Estos portugueses saben cocinar. Las porciones son grandes y el precio es razonable. Incluso tuvimos un baile al salir. Definitivamente volveremos.

Un delicioso almuerzo dominical en la parrilla: ensaladas recién hechas y carnes a la barbacoa, excelente servicio, personal cordial, ¿este lugar es muto bem?

This is a amazing Portuguese restaurant omg me and my family just had the best food ever super friendly here and the food is out of the world I can’t put world or I don’t know what to say about this Nice place please eat here and you will love the food

Very well priced and freshly cooked Sunday lunch . English and Portuguese cuisine served by friendly team ...unpretentious setting ..it deserves to be a success.

From outside it looks like a Pub, what it used to be before. Apparently the new owners took over a year ago and they are still making improvements. They have a bar and a lounge to dine. The food was really good and the portions were big enough to end our meals satisfied. We were a big party, so we could try many different dishes from the menu like squid, espetadas, steaks, bacalhau natas, seabass... Everything was really good! And the desserts were amazing, specially the caramel pudding and the biscuits cake. We will go back!

A clean and pleasant bar area fully stocked with an extensive selection of beverages. Mendes is also a restaurant serving all types of food and, most noteworthy, a wide variety of Portuguese dishes. Friendly and welcoming staff are happy to help you select a Portuguese meal which is to your liking and taste. I took a chance on this place and was not disappointed - I can see this place as a good venue for a small, private function too. I will definitely be going back and recommending this place very highly to my friends.

This is a lovely Portuguese restaurant in Acton. I have tried some of the best beers and ciders of my life at Mendes Restaurant, and the service is excellent. Totally recommend it!

Traditional Portuguese cuisine from Madeira. The skewers are amazing and for sure my favourite is the seafood one. The portions are very generous and you will not be disappointed. The owner and the staff are very friendly and the chef always comes to the table to ask if everything is ok, for me this kind of attention is very important and makes the difference. The traditional Madeira bread "bolo do caco" it's a must try.
