Mem Has Cafe in Braintree

We regularly visit here for breakfast and it is always packed- very popular with the locals. The food is delicious and chefs are happy to adapt to your tastes e.g. crispy bacon. Lots of choice on the menu.

If you want fantastic fresh cooked food be prepared to wait a while because the food is absolutely delicious! The staff are wonderful and attentive so if you want a chilled out meal this is where you should come

Been there 3 times this week. Exceptional breakfast and service. Loads of variety on the menu. Best cafe in braintree by far!

I ordered food told what I would like, wait 45mins just for them to put what I asked not to be in my food so I had to go back to work hungry thanks

Its two years since I last visited here for breakfast. It remains a cracking good place to eat. There is a full and varied breakfast menu. The coffee is good, better than one from the standard chains. Service is good, speedy and staff are very pleasant. Pleasant atmosphere. Staff are a bit distant, but good at what they do. Will call in again when I'm in Braintree next year

Ripped us off £35 for 2 breakfasts and a coffee! Avoid...Told manager was on a weeks holiday! Absolutely discusting! Was even told by staff member £9.65 was overcharged! Was told they couldn't give money back! Avoid at all cost!

The food, service and coffee were all first rate. The venue is modern, clean, and clearly well looked after. All in all a very pleasant place to go forr for breakfast.

Our original breakfast plans fell through but we managed to find this place at the last minute. We walked in as a party of 5, all starving, to a busy lunch rush and the waitress was incredibly accomodating, immediately moving a table to give us some space. Our orders were taken quickly, again being accomodating to potential changes to some of our orders. The waitress was polite and helpful. Coffee was excellent- made with a proper machine! Food arrived quickly with beautiful presentation. Everything was delicious and we all emptied our plates. Everything felt really professional and slick all the way through. Couldn't recommend this place enough and it's a shame we are only visiting as this would be a fantastic local cafe to have!

Great food, good value for money. Overall very tasty, and good portion sizes, carted to my friend's diet requirements well Only criticism, was my olives was not pitted, but that is more just personal preference

Had time in the morning before a bus , just popped in. Really lovely breakfast , crispy bacon , soft egg , cooked to perfection and the staff were very nice. Fair play to the team there I really enjoyed it.

Had some time to kill and was peckish, heard this was good so thought I’d try it, well where do I start? The staff are lovely so friendly and the menu was huge! I decided to have’ the sun inn’ which is a brunch dish, when it came I was flabbergasted it was massive! Toast with smoked salmon and poached eggs (perfectly poached) asparagus, mushrooms and avocado it was absolutely delicious, I will recommend this cafe to everyone.

The best cafe in Braintree! The food is always fresh and well presented. The service is friendly and efficient and always make children feel very welcome. I’ve had breakfast and lunch here and the menu is excellent so much choice and all made to order. This is always my go to place when eating in Braintree.

My husband breakfasts at Mem Has 6 days a week. The food is really good and not over expensive. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

Wow great falafel wrap with hummus, we had other things too but I ate this. We lived in the Middle East so are a falafel and hummus snob, I don’t usually order falafel as in this Country it’s a disaster but this was absolutely lovely. Well done everyone loved their food. The cafe was easily accessible via the side stairs and ramp from Sainsbury’s where I took advantage of the disabled car park after shopping at Sainsbury’s. It was cosy and welcoming with polite staff who were efficient and approachable. I ordered the menu similar to the picture on their page consisting of the waffles, strawberry, chocolate sauce and a cappuccino and my friend ordered a meal consisting of a jacket potato with beans and coffee. Our meals were not only appealing to the eyes , it arrived on time , tasted yummy and at right temperature. It was a lovely brunch.

Brunch here with a friend was excellent. Just a fry up really but not greasy or over cooked. Services as swift and coffee was great.

The atmosphere and cosy set up was warm and welcoming. The staff were friendly, polite and paid attention to detail in meeting our needs . The menu chosen by us -Manhattan for me which included waffles, poached eggs, blueberries, raspberries, sausage, bacon and baked beans and for my friend Lynne Jacket potato, curry and coleslaw salad were very tasty, well cooked and presented excellently . Nothing seemed too much to ask the attending waitress who was very approachable . We also enjoyed our drinks of Cappuccino and black coffee. The price was great in relation to the portion , quality of the meal and the ambience of the setting. I will certainly return again to sample other menus .

Called in here last year after it had just opened. Impressed then, but it's far better now. Service is great but the food is even better! and it's well priced and well cooked. Excellent place.

Went there for a coffee with a friend and returned to try the breakfast. We have eaten there several time and my daughter and son in law eat there regularly on a weekend

Was pleasantly surprised by this little cafe on our visit yesterday for drinks and snacks (scone and teacake). Staff were very polite and helpful and service was quick. The place was clean and comfortable with room for our little one's pushchair by the table too without causing an obstruction. Will definitely visit again as the menu looked very varied. Reasonably priced too.

Was driving around Braintree looking for a cafe open at seven as I’m not from around here and couldn’t find one but this one was and I’m so glad I went here! The breakfast was lovely and the sausages was a proper fat sausage and they changed my chips to hash brown from the set menu which was nice! Coffee is lovely too!

My family came here to try somewhere new. Have to say food was excellent, staff very pleasant. Breakfast price price was good value as included tea or coffee and toast. Very clean restaurant. Will ne visiting again

Visited hear ordered 1\4 cheese burger on its own as I don't eat chips when I got bill I was charged for burger chips was told chips were complimentary and was charged 5.50 if you don't want chips don't go hear is this something related to Braintree as this is the 3rd time this has happened in this town now shop &eat; in Sudbury J.w.a

I've been here a few times now, when I need to kill time whilst in Braintree.. always really friendly and welcoming. Their macaroni cheese is a hearty serving, milkshakes are delish as are their coffees with syrups.

I regularly eat here and have never had any problems with the food. The staff is friendly service is fairly quick but can be a little slow at times. The choice of food is good and the size of portions is just right the fact they are open 7 days a week is an added bonus

Really happy to find this for a quick lunch after arriving on the train ... short walk to the town to this great little cafe. Friendly efficient , great menu choice , all day breakfasts and extremely good value .

I’ve been to Mem Has a few times now and they are great. I love the breakfasts and it is amazing value for money. The service is brilliant too. It’s clean and has a modern decor. I always suggest this place when I am meeting friends in Braintree town.

I work in the Braintree area and regularly visit Mem Has Cafe for either breakfast or lunch.

I come to Braintree once a year to work and always looking for somewhere new for breakfast and coffee. Well this is it. Excellent Illy coffee (Costa take note!) and reasonably priced. Better still there is a great range of breakfasts...the Turkish breakfast is great. Good Food at reasonable price.

Great friendly helpful service with good food and drinks served, a good central position in the centre of town.

Nice cafe, nice food. Would be better if staff paid attention when ordering, got wrong omelette for my wife ham instead of mushroom, and forgot my tap water which was soon put right.

At last the confusion about which Orange Tree in Braintree served great food and beer is resolved. This Turkish owned café offers the usual suspects on their menu and is currently well staffed with enthusiastic gusto, the food is good and fairly priced for the passing trade let's hope this continues.

New cafe in the centre of Braintree has been opened a few weeks and I've visited several times and been very impressed each time.

Stumbled across this gem of a cafe whilst meeting up with my daughter and her partner for brunch. As the name suggests, it is a Turkish restaurant but it does serve a range of cuisines including a variety of options for traditional British cooked breakfast which apparently tasted as good as it looked. I opted for the Falafel wrap which itself was really tasty and served in a portion size that I struggled with.
