We ate hear the first night we moved to Leeds, food has been consistently good through multiple orders and always on time

We ordered starters and mains for two which came to nearly £40, we waited 70 minutes before I rang the restaurant to check where the order was, to be told it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. The sticky rice was wrapped in cling film and needed a knife to cut through it, the curries were very watery this time, and other bits were cold. Usually there isn’t a problem when we order from this restaurant but this time spoiled all the good ones.

way too much pepper on stuff, the rice was pathetic and not much meat in the curries

The delivery fee for this order was £4.50 and it arrived 1 hour late. Absolutely ridiculous. The food itself was good but unfortunately the delivery time and waiting ruined the experience.

Mekhong River clearly take pride in their work. The food is stunning every time. Soup or sauce dishes even come wrapped in cling film to avoid spills. I would highly recommend. 10/10.

Food was lovely apart from the sticky rice that came in a bag and was not sticky. Just solid.

Had the tofu pad thai, sweetcorn cakes, beef red curry and salt and pepper chicken bites, all delivered hot and delicious.

Very very nice food every time

Chicken garlic chili ball things starter was lovely. Pad Gratiem Prik Thai (stir fry with garlic and pepper) had a lot more soy sauce than usual, maybe cut back a bit on that, but was still nice.

First time using this takeaway tonight , very lovely lady served me and advised me on different dishes and what was in them as I'm use to the traditional Chinese takeaway, I got the yellow curry with chicken ,it tasted beautiful though a little sweet for me but I enjoyed it , chips and rice very nice too , my only disappointment was the curry sauce was like coloured water would be a lot nicer thicker, I was not expecting it that thin .

The beef in oyster sauce is different. The last two times I’ve had this. It’s disappointing

Food was lukewarm and they marked it as delivered but it has not even set off. Mediocre food.

We tried Mekhong River for the first time today. We had two chicken curries ( yellow & jungle) from the Happy Hour menu. Absolutely no complaints at all. To be recommended.

Have had better experiences from here, some items arrived at tepid temperature and the chicken toast burnt, chicken skewers overcooked and dry.

After waiting 45 minutes, having to chase it up, followed by asking for my money back... the food was not ( overall) worth waiting for. Although the garlic ribs starter were nice, the black bean sauce was watery and tasteless, the egg fried rice and the noodles were bland and the curry sauce was awful. It was watery and almost tasted soapy. Will not be ordering from them again.

The food when it arrived was well packaged piping hot with fresh ingredients and tasted great.

Food was excellent will certainly be ordering again. Love that each container was also wrapped in cling film to keep it from leaking. All in all excellent quality all round

chips were cold to the point of being chewy, platter was cold, fish cakes tasted of perfume, beef dish only had 5 small bits of beef in amongst cold congealed noodles, almost immediately after eating I came over feeling hot/sweaty and sikly, this could have just been a coincidence but I was absolutely fine all day until eating this food. Paid over £35 for this unpleasant meal.

Disgusting Veggie green curry that tasted like brocolli soup, food full of mushrooms that were not advertised on the menu so half the food went in bin! Only nice thing was the panang curry and that was 1/2 empty, especially compared to the inedible green one that went in the bin. People have allergies, you shouldnt put things in that arent on menu and arent traditionally in the dishes we ordered anyway - never ever been given a thai with mushrooms! We wouldnt have ordered if had known was mushrooms! And the free item wasnt sent- probably a blessing! I do have photo evidence of this, its a real shame just eat dont let you upload! Personally i would have given a 1 but i think a 2 was fair considering the panang was nice. If we had just had a couple of panang curries i wouldnt have been writing a negative review but that green curry really was not nice and had to throw the lot, even excluding the mushrooms

Gorgeous food, need to start experimenting with healthier alternatives since suffering from a brain injury caused by high blood pressure from eating like a pig for years so this place is a breath of fresh air and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu, thanks guys!

Absolutely spot on everything was delicious

I ordered tom yum soup and spicy chicken bits every time I get the soup it taste so lovely and its the same all the time. I would recommend this restaurant or takeaway to my friends.

Great food! overall very satisfied with the food and good flavours. only small cristism is the chicken wings and how small they were. they were tiny! would be great to have the full wings.

Food was delicious, couldn't fault any of it. The homemade pork scratching with chilli and thai spices are out of this world.

Really good quality Thai, always turns up on time and nice and hot. Great choice and lovely friendly drivers. My only little bit of feedback is it would be nice if you could include some crushed peanuts and a wedge of lime with the pad thai 🙂

Carrots & potatoes in the curry were undercooked, everything came pretty cold too.

Delivery was projected to take 30-45 minutes when I was browsing. The actual window was 40-60 minutes when order was placed, and finally turned up - after a phone call and additional follow-up text request - an hour and 35 minutes after the order went in. The food was average quality and lukewarm, the portion size was underwhelming and the complimentary can of Coke they threw in felt more of an insult than an apology. You could not pay me to order from them again.

Absolute perfection! delicious ! . Arrived very hot and a beautiful array of spices and colours. Plenty of vegetables in main meals and large portions. Sauce superb. First time used this place & this is the best Thai we ever have tried in Leeds. Highly recommended

Food arrived almost an hour AFTER initial estimated time given and 15 minutes after 2nd estimated time. I had phoned the restaurant twice to ask where food was, to be first told they were waiting for a driver, then 20 minutes later to be told that food was with a driver. Food arrived cold and I had to reheat in my microwave. I have requested refund to compensate but only received a can of free pop with my order by way of apolgy

The on-time was a longish wait, but well worth it. I really enjoy the food from the restaurant and have ordered many times. I can say they are consistently quite good.

Rice cold. Garlic and pepper squid in batter very cold and very over done. Salt and pepper tofu very cold and chips cold. Food was 15 minutes past it's layest time This is the first time I have given a disappointing review usually the food is spot on.

noodles were very mushy, salt and pepper chips were cold. delivery was 45 minutes late. I asked for a small refund but it was declined.

Fantastic Thai food. Better than restaurant quality delivered to your door. We found this place just before Christmas and I think we’ll be back every time on take away night. Lovely fresh food and clearly made to order.

Best Chinese/Thai takeaway we've ever had. Me and my partner just got a bunch of the starters to share between us and it was a full meal and everything was great except the salt and pepper chips. Which were still good just not as fantastic as everything else. Standouts were the Moo Ping and the Salt and Pepper Ribs.

We’ve ordered from here quite a few times now & as always the food is delicious, the salads are so full of flavour & my favourite things on the menu. Noodles & stir fry’s are very generous portions - our go to takeaway.

Papaya salad, hot & sour chicken soup. Both absolutely delicious!! Both so flavoursome and jam packed with veggies, really tasty, I even drank the left over salad dressing 😂 Some of the best takeaway food I’ve eaten. Was delivered late but I was updated about & driver was apologetic so I don’t mind at all. Will definitely order again!

Missing extra portion of chicken and it took ages to come the green curry was too watery and my friend had allergic reaction from you putting chicken in her sweet and sour beef because she allergic to chicken

Delivery was on time but driver was awful, he more or less threw the bag of food at me and walked away with no apology, I took my food to the kitchen , it was the wrong way up in the bag an the noodles and wanton boxes were squashed leaving the wonton smashed up, the food however was beautifully cooked with lovely flavours

I have ordered many times and the Food quality is always lovely. But for the first time on this occasion our chips rice and spare ribs were just barely warm which is why only 4 stars always given 5 stars. Everything else was hot. Still lovely food and will still continue to order from Mekhong River.

Didn’t taste like authentic Thai and the ribs were overloaded in pepper and coriander didn’t taste like garlic ribs at all. First time eating since it changed owners and unfortunately I wouldn’t be go back.

I ordered from here all the time but last 3 times the food quality has been shocking completely inedible!! Gutted as it was once my favourite! Clearly had a fall out with an amazing Thai chef!!! Guys a great chef is worth his weight in gold get him back before your business fails! I will not order again

we ordered spicy chicken balls which were not balls but small pieces of hard, dry chicken with no chilli flakes as described, also ordered stir fried black bean beef, this arrived in an half filled container with brown water (not a sauce) there was no broccoli, carrots or spring onions as stated on the menu and very little beef, the salt & pepper chips were ok but dry. Will not waste my money ordering from here again as most of it went in the bin!!

Hi fantastic food really enjoyed it. Chow mein was beautiful fried rice just as I asked, so much appreciated but just a thought with the fried rice dishes would you consider putting a condiment like a soya sauce or a curry sauce just a small portion with the dish. I highly recommend this place thank you for the lovely meal.

Amazing food & big portions friendly delivery driver came on time

30 mins late but kept us informed so no drama. Pretty good food, curries we're pretty good...massoman not like any other I've ever had but nice enough. Thai green and panang were great, really spice and nice fresh veg. Fish cakes were great. Only negative was the satay chicken....chicken was dry and stone cold but the satay sauce was absolutely disgusting. Just tasted of vinegar...so bad we binned it and used a jar we had. But apart from that! It was lovely.
