Mei Mei in Doncaster

Only called in for chicken n sweetcorn soup ..only £2.50 compared to other local shops charging nearly £4 . Was absolutely filled with chicken. Filled tub as well . Deffo going back to try meals. Again loads cheaper than other local shops . It's got great reviews so going to try soon . X

Can't place an order saying my postcode is invalid, funny because I've been getting my post delivered for the last 15 years to my address, oh well you've lost some business

Had the set meal for 2 , was nice

We don’t have takeaway that often but when we do we have always got it from Mei Mei. However our meal was disappointing this Saturday. I had my usual, special fried rice. The pieces of beef were full of gristle, no pieces of pork and what I thought were pieces of chicken were awful both taste and texture.

We have tried many Chinese takeaways around and all previous ones tasted good and similar, until we ordered here and the food was not tasting good unfortunately. It just my opinion. 2 and half stars.

The best day of the year for me, my annual take away at work. Chinese this year, Mei Mei, not my first choice. Nor was it my second. But nevertheless, I went into this experience with an open mind, only to be disappointed. Salt and pepper share boxes, without a speck of pepper in sight. One tray of chips, in a £120 order for 15 men. So. Here I am, depressed at work. A salty graveyard of overcooked chicken was great company with my 7 chips. Brilliant.

Excellent food and very reasonably priced. The owners are lovely. They helped us out when we couldn't get a taxi. So kind. Definitely worth a try

Large menu across the back wall, tariyaki, curry, appetisers, side dishes, lots of items. Set menus including set menu for 4 for £40. Vegetable curry is about £5. Boiled rice is about £1.80. A lady and a boy behind counter. Counter has glass or similar screen all the way across with a hatch for ordering, paying and receiving. This is takeaway. Cash only. Sanitizer available. Lady behind counter has a mask. Restaurant looks clean and nice. Small benches for sitting on whilst waiting for order. Portions are good and food tastes very nice. Chopsticks provided on request and free fortune cookie told me something thrilling lies ahead.

Our 1st ever Chinese from Mei Mei tonight. This deserves 10 🌟 I had duck in orange sauce and there was enough to feed 2 people. The duck was cooked medium rare in huge chunks with a delicious thick orange sauce. My husband had char sui szechuan sauce. We were so impressed. The food was red hot and delivered quickly. We will definitely use again instead of our usual one.

This is the best chinnese I've ever had and every time I order I honestly can't wait to taste it and its always the same. 10 star

If I could leave zero stars I would, we used to order from here regularly and it was always ok, just had a takeaway delivered from here and honestly it’s gone straight in the bin. We ordered a platter for 2, chicken wings were tiny and was burnt to a crisp, onion rings were undercooked, you could see soggy batter when pulled apart. Main meal was special with soft noodles was tasteless it was like dishwater, salt and pepper chips again absolutely tasteless. Sorry to say will NEVER order from here again.

Amazing food great value for money good size portions. Polite and friendly staff . Fast delivery. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. My fella is picky when it comes to chinese food and he really enjoyed his food ! Ordered a couple of times after my usual has gone downhill. The food here is lovely. I absolutely love there salt and pepper chips and the curry is really nice. Always good portions and polite staff. Delivery driver really nice and helpful too. I definitely recommend. I really hope they set up online ordering so I could order easier and more often though.

After months of ordering from here and food being brill we ring tonight to be told its under new management.. rang to order at 6.15, order came with meals missing.. rang them again at 7.50 and tell them, for them to hang up on me.. numerous calls but line busy. Finally get through for them to tell me they will replace missing item. Bare in mind all the other stuff is now stone cold .. it's now 8.22 and still no order, and phone constantly engaged ...

Ordered food , called me back 30mins later to say I was too far away for delivery , I’m not even 1/2 mile away Driver said I’m 7 mile away after telling her where I was “useless “

Foods ok but staff is rude and slow

I got takeaway here four or five times always getting on serving for myself with the option of rice or noodles for a pound extra and they denied me service the latest time because i wasn't spending enough money....Almost all reviews are fake and in broken english and the staff are all family and clearly cheap people. foods ok service is not

Recently opened having been taken over by new owners. Mei Mei may be known as the former Thorne Chinese. Portions are larger than most similar take aways and taste is good. Delivery is an option with them for Thorne and Moorends area for a small charge. Service in shop is good and seems fast enough.

Was pretty impressed when I tried em, became my go to for a Chinese now.
