Mehraj Express in Caerphilly

Daughter placed order online, order arrived with curry missing. She phoned up and they called my daughter a liar saying two people said it was in the box, it wasn't. Had to phone them back and they said that the curry was there,I told them it wasn't. I told them how annoyed I was that my daughter had been called a liar. They offered to send the missing curry out like they were doing me a favour, but I said the rest of the food would be cold by then. They said it would take 5 mins I don't know what car they are driving but I definitely live more than 5 minutes away. I said this they said no no it will be there in 5 minutes (it wasn't). Told them just to refund the missing curry but they refused. Said mistakes happen blamed a new member of staff. I can appreciate mistakes happen but am annoyed at firstly being told we were wrong and then them admitting they made a mistake, also the attitude we received. Said that they wouldn't refund, just replace the missing curry. On their own website it states if there are any issues please ring them and for a refund obviously this is not the case. So please be warned! They did send the curry but by then the rest of the food was cold. We won't be ordering from there again which is a shame as having tennagers in the house they order take out frequently. Save your money and order else where you might not be called a liar.

Haven’t turned up an can’t get through

Food was lovely. Not the biggest of portions but tasty. My only gripe is the delivery came 20 mins early and I was in the bath!

Great food, slightly disappointed by the onion Bhaji’s I assumed they would be the traditional round fried balls, not onions and garlic in a tray, otherwise really nice food.

Food was really tasty. Arrived piping hot and was ready when I turned up for collection slightly early. Good portion sizes and price also.

Missing Salad and Mint sauce, no flavour to the Chicken Balti and was swimming in oil

Delivery driver ignored delivery note “Leave food on door step - please do not knock as dog has had operation” and big sign on my front door saying do not knock, by knocking as loud as possible multiple times.

delivery was a little earlier than arranged but food was piping hot and absolutely gorgeous amd full of flavour. We will definitely be ordering again

Quick delivery and very tasty food!

Was a bit late but stunning food!! We are awhile away so wasn’t piping hot but didn’t expect that considering the distance. Was the best chicken tikka masala I’ve had in ages! Offer a range of naan breads our local doesn’t so was nice to have more options

Fantastic food and never had a bad experience. Quality food and host is always pleasant when picking up the order. Kids are always fussy eaters but they love this place. Honey chicken is a winner with the kids!

The Lamb Pathia had an amazing flavour. I love it so much, that I keep ordering it! Also, the Chicken Pathia which is great too. It's hot and sweet.... just how I like it. My wife had Chicken Lonka which was very tasty, she said which a nice quantity of heat.

I ordered the set menu but made amendments to it and it was wonderful. The food was fresh and hot and everything was perfectly cooked. The food was made quickly and was really tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and had a nice atmosphere in the shop. I would definately recommend and will be ordering again.

I ordered a chicken korma and a malayan chicken curry, I was sent 2 chicken korma's one with pineapple. I called the shop, they said putting pineapple in a korma makes it a malayan curry, I'm 55 and was brought up on malayan dishes and what I recieved was an insult malyan curry's are dark and spicy

the food here is always excellent but iv noticed over the last few orders that the portion sizes have got quite a bit smaller.

Be very wary when ordering online as they use a 3rd party.They refused to give us our order as they said the money wasn't it there bank account even though we had to go down there and show them our online banking that they took our money.They literally didn't care shouting at us in the shops Family meal ruined

Order from time to time always attempt to try a few new things and has always been spot on will continue to come here first choice every time.

Driver shouted at me as I didn’t give them my phone number and they couldn’t get a hold of me through just eat. Had 2 keema naans only order one and a cheese one but that never came. Quite disappointing

Pricing all a mess, and portion sizes are getting smaller, (quantity in the tub where they use to be full, now coming 2/3 full). This was a really good Indian takeaway it's going the wrong way. May look elsewhere after tonight's food taste of powder come on sort it out, it really is going down hill quick and yes I know people moan but you should look at your reviews something is not right. 😞

Probably the best Indian takeaway I have had in many years. Lamb madras was superb, vegetable rogan was even better. I couldn't fault anything about the food or service. We will definitely use again.

Not the greatest food. Korma was tasteless, chicken was dry and a little tough. Poppadoms tasted burnt. Not worth the money.

Ordered 2 hours in advance. Turned up an hour early. Ended up having to microwave it when friends arrived. I ordered through just eat. I rang the business to ask why it had been delivered so early to be told he was to busy to deliver at the time I had requested. If I'd wanted microwaved food I'd have spent £10 in Tesco rather than £30 to leave it go cold and then microwaved it. My main gripe is the attitude of the owner. He clearly hasn't understood how just eat processes orders. Don't shout at a customer on the phone.

Purposely ordered food early to make sure food would arrive on time as it is a Saturday night. Arrived an hour early. Called owner to express my disappointment. Was basically told to f off as it was my fault for ordering in advance. A down side to using just eat. They already have your money so don't care
