My recent visit to Megna Restaurant in Scunthorpe with my grandchildren was nothing short of delightful. I visited Megna celebrating a birthday. My experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was a symphony of flavours, each dish bursting with authenticity and expertly balanced spices. I had prawn on puri for starters and murgi palak for main. Every bite was a delight to the senses. The service matched the quality of the food, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met promptly and courteously. Megna the best Indian restaurant ever. Spotless tables, helpful and friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble for them. The menu is just amazing, every time I go it takes me ages to decide what to have, so many brilliant dishes to choose from. If you have never been before try it, you wont be disappointed. The food was really good and the best curry dishes weve had in Scunthorpe. I can recommend the lamb briani, they even made the side curty extra hot for me. We ordered online for collection and it was ready and hot in 25min. We will definitely return!

Venue felt old and depressing, seating wasn't the best, atmosphere lacking. Service good but felt rushed to finish and leave. Starters fairly average, mains decent.

The food, as always, was excellent. I tried the jubilee special this time, with a garlic naan - delicious. Always friendly and efficient service, this is a great family business, doing what they do and doing it well!

Called for something to eat before a show at the Baths Hall. Parked right outside, 50 yards from the Baths Hall. We told the gent we had an hour so he kindly advised what dishes to select . I had the salmon on the specials and hubby had chicken khari. Both delicious especially the salmon. Highly recommended.

First time back after the lifting of lockdown and Megna did not disappoint! Ash as ever was very welcoming and attentive. I felt completely safe within my environment (all Covid rules being followed) The food was absolutely beautiful and was service was fab as always. I can’t wait to go back already

Really cannot fault this place. The staff are always friendly, the restaurant is clean and well-organised. The food is great, well-cooked and reasonably priced. We have eaten here probably 5 or 6 times and it is consistently good...so much so that we make a 60 mile round trip to visit.

Due to lockdown the restaurant has been closed for a period of time, but, the take away and delivery service has remained open (SO pleased about that!). This week we ordered another take away, the food arrived 45 mins later which Megna delivered (for free) . Fantastic food as always, great food and service from town's #1 Indian restaurant. Can't wait for the restaurant to open again (hopefully today?)!

Excellent food and service (as usual) :). Updated 03/12/2020: due to lock down we recently ordered a take away, it was delivered within 45 mins, tasted as good as it does in the restaurant. This has to be the best Indian food in town and Megna's service is 5*.

Visited here twice with my dad in recent months, everything was spot on. The lamb was tender, the curry was perfect temperature and packed plenty of heat and the tastiest in town by far. The staff are always extremely friendly too. Would highly recommend for any curry lovers 👍

Been to all the Indians in the local area. This is by far the best!! Staff are incredibly welcoming and chatty. Food is incredible, so fresh and unique. I’ve discovered a new favourite in chicken dansak. It’s a weekly trip at the minute. I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone. My favourite!!

First time getting a takeaway lovely hot vindaloo will order again

Had a takeaway ( collected) from the Megna last night, it was absolutely outstanding!.The food was extremely tasty, fresh and piping hot and was, without doubt the best Indian takeaway that we’ve had for years!

Had a meal here recently. I was very impressed with the measures they have in place to comply with the social distancing rules. All the staff were taking it very seriously and I felt safe eating there. The staff are extremely friendly and will go the extra mile to make sure you have an enjoyable evening. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Megna is our "go to" restaurant when we want a curry takeaway! Its also the only Restaurant we visit if we want to eat in. We ate in a cpl of weeks ago & thoroughly enjoyed our meal! The food was delicious & very tasty & service excellent! Ash & his team have really pulled out all the stops regarding the Social Distancing measures that has to be in place because of Covid. Everything is sanitised & all staff wear gloves & masks so you feel "safe" whilst dining. Ash & his team are very professional & friendly. If you want an authentic, excellent curry, this is the only Restaurant to visit! Excellent food, staff & health & hygiene! Keep up the excellent work Ash! You & you're team & food are the very best!!

Visited the Megna restaurant tonight, felt very safe Ash and his staff are very on the ball regarding health and safety during these strange times we are all having to deal with. Had a different dish tonight and it was fabulous so tasty would highly recommended chicken passanda if you don’t want a hot curry, I would give this restaurant 10/10

Booked a table for 6 on 1st August. All menus had been sanitized and only alternate tables were available .Our party were the only people in the restaurant which is a shame as the staff are doing everything they need to ,wearing masks and gloves and the food was excellent and all my party felt safe and I urge people to go out and support these businesses or they won’t be there when we want them. We had a very tasty meal on a lads night out. The food was delivered in good time and everyone said how good and tasty each individual meal was. Be warned of the chili Nann bread - is got a real kick to it.

First time we have been ,Very nice staff very helpful. Hygiene rating 5. Starters was Samosa very good,main was chicken madras, not as spicy as 2am used to but ok. Will try again but have a vindaloo.

I don’t know if I ordered on a bad evening or busy evening but I was disappointed.The korma was not creamy in the slightest if anything it was watery with abit of spice added which I thought was strange as normally korma is mild with no spice?The naan bread was crispy and you couldn’t pull it apart easily at all.When the food arrived it wasn’t hot either just slightly warm.I ordered from here because it was 5* hygiene and that is something I always look for when ordering online. Unfortunately won’t be ordering again, was average at best ☹️

Fantastic food, friendly staff, good beer and great value.

Pleasant restaurant, nice attentive friendly staff, beer was fine, then it went down hill, food was cold, which was not good as one dish was prawns, but taken back to kitchen and returned hot. We ordered two of their speciality meals, and to be honest, they were below average. Unfortunately regardless of lovely staff will not be returning.

I’ve eaten a lot of curries in my time but this was hands down the best I’ve ever eaten! In fact, I would say it’s the best food I’ve ever eaten! The staff were all lovely, they weren’t fased at all by my request to make some of the dishes vegan and I wish I’d ordered some to take home! A must visit, you will not be disappointed! We got chatting to a couple in the restaurant who go there every Sunday! Sadly we live 3 hours away and were visiting family for the weekend, but we will definitely go back when in Scunthorpe again.

Visited here for the first time on Thursday evening. It was very quiet, we were the only people in when we arrived at 7.30 although another table arrived before we left. Service was friendly and prompt, the food was good, quite large portions which neither of us could finish, I think we would return.

Since our first visit many years ago, Megna have never failed to disappoint us.Always beautiful food and fantastic service, its the only Indian we visit in Scunthorpe anymore. As a vegetarian I have exhausted almost all the options available on the menu however Megna always have superb recommendations of new dishes to try if I fancy something different and the chef never disapoints. My other half is a big meat and fish eater and his appetite is always appeased after a visit here. The staff are very friendly and its always a great atmosphere, we would highly recommend to anyone.

We have been here many times over the past few years and they never disappoint. I had the murgi palak and it was delicious. The staff are so friendly and the food is fab so it makes for a lovely evening.

Another top class meal at Megna. I had tandoori mixed grill with a keema nan. The meat was cooked perfectly and served sizzling at the table. The staff were as always very friendly and attentive.

My partner and I ate at Megna last night, we didn’t have a booking although the staff welcomed us in and set a lovely table up with candle light. The food was outstanding, perhaps the best Indian food I’ve tasted in and out of Scunthorpe. The staff were lovely too. Fantastic choice. We will be back and recommended to our friends.

We travelled to Scunny from Ireland and had the pleasure of being introduced to Megna by our friends John & Nuala who live locally. The restaurant has a great ambience. The staff are really friendly and attentive. The food is out of this world. I've eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants but this is by far the best I've experienced in England and Ireland. It's very reasonably priced too. I highly recommend Megna. Can't wait to go back now!

I can't seem to stay away from the fab restaurant. I visit at least 3 times a month sometimes more.. It's not just because the food is 10/10 the beer and service is excellent too. These guys care about their customers I quite often just pop in for a cheeky beer and a chat. If you haven't been or not visited for a while you've got to go. I had Salmon the other day in a razala (hot) sauce. Sooooo good! It is definitely my favourite restaurant in the area!

Some would say that you need to visit Bangladesh to experience their magnificent cuisines. However, you can experience the taste of Bangladesh from the comfort of your own home, thanks to Megna! Or you can visit Megna’s posh restaurant (where the Food Hygiene has been rated 5-star) with your social friends or family. Megna’s staff there are friendly, helpful, and their service is outstanding! When it comes to Megna’s food, every dish I taste, reminds me of when I was a child at Bangladesh, tasting curry with homemade spices that sparks up your tastebuds. My most favourite dishes are Biriyanis, and Megna’s Biriyanis are succulent and to dine for! I would recommend anyone to experience their first taste of Bangladesh with Megna’s. You would not be disappointed.

Came for a meal with my wife last weekend, food was just superb. The special dish “Johirpuri chicken” was delicious and my wife tried the murgi palak and loved it! We will be visiting more often without a doubt.

I went for a cheeky take out on Wednesday as I couldn't be bothered to cook. As always I was greeted with friendly happy faces. I spent time catching up with the owners and had time to ponder about what I was going to have while enjoying the best pint in town Lal Tufan!

An incredible restaurant in Scunthorpe that must be visited at least once, just an incredible place. The staff were absolutely wonderful, with a couple replenishments of beer, and the cooking too was absolutely brilliant. Lamb tikka for starter, followed by Kembaya keema chicken for main course (I fully recommend this dish, as well as checking out chef Asuf's specials on the menu) was an epic combination, truly delicious food. This is the place in Scunthorpe to have curry, by a long shot.

We had a take away, worst chicken tikka I have ever had, tasteless and with a very strange brown coloured massala sauce. Most of it went in the bin. Waste of £21.87.

Great evening once again with excellent service and staff are always welcoming. The food is excellent. I would recommend the Prawn Vindaloo.

Another fantastic meal with the girlfriend. Prawns were succulent and cooked to perfection. Spice mixed well to get the full flavours and not just the heat of the chillies. Highly recommended.

We had an enjoyable evening meal here. The service was excellent and the food was good. I was a little disappointed with the onion Bhaji as they where very small. Otherwise the rest of the food was very good . We had chicken Dansak and a Chicken Balti.
