Mediterranea in Stirling

Pleasant, simple Mediterranean feel to this place. Food good and there seems a good range of tapas. Nice ambience.

Was here for a small private party seated downstairs. Service a little slow to start but once the food started to come was a regular and varied selection of tapas and mezze. All were excellent in taste and presentation. Staff super friendly and helpful.

By far, best meal I’ve had in Stirling, and so far all of Scotland. Great value for what you’re buying, the food tasted delicious and was seasoned perfectly. I’d take it a step further and say that the Baba ganoush is the best I’ve ever had (not too smoky) and the hummus was among the best. The chicken was succulent, and the chips on the Shish Taouk were to die for. The pita had an incredible flavor to it… I could have eaten the whole serving of pita with no dips and been content. Was such a pleasure to support a local business and get an unforgettable and delicious experience such as this one. Wish I had found it sooner - and I cannot wait to go back again.

Some of the best food we have had recently! They used the freshest ingredients and made sure each dish is done the right way. From the Starters menue the Baba Ghanoush was especially memorable. We had as Main the Shish Taouk and Falafel. Each bite was a delight and the presentation just blew us away. We want to thank the owners for going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Their genuine hospitality and impeccable service made all the difference. I would rather eat out here than in London any time 😁

This place is a hidden gem, first time trying greek food but this place came highly recommended and was absolutely worth it. Stunning food that was delicious and authentic, highly recommend the meze meal. The service was fantastic and great value for money. Looking forward to going back.

Starters were excellent, very tasty and good portion size. However the main courses were shockingly bad, very bland and the chicken was served dry. Service was very slow and disorganised, server didn’t want to provide another set of cutlery for main course.

Real home made mediterranean foods

We had only been visiting Stirling for the evening, and had done a quick google and found your restaurant. We had no idea what it would be like, but what we experienced was just amazing, food was perfect, service was lovely wine was great. It was such a lovely meal, sadly we ordered too much. If we are ever in Stirling again we will be back!!! Amazing place amazing hole cooked food!!!!

Great service and lovely, clean place. The gyros was a little different in taste to the many I've had before (different herbs & seasoning perhaps), but nice nevertheless. Accompanied by Mythos beer, always a winning combination. The owner was a great host; welcoming and very personable.

Went here tonight for dinner, didn't have a reservation. The restaurant was busy and we thought we were out of luck but they have a seating area downstairs where we were seated. It was a nice cosy atmosphere with spanish music playing. The man who seated and served us was very helpful and it was service with a smile. There were 2 of us and we had the meze chefs special which I was skeptical about as not sure I would like all of the dishes but it was all so fresh and honestly the best meal I have had in a restaurant in a long time! The baba ganoush was something I've never had before and wasn't sure I would like but it was delicious and I've not had hummus that tasted so good. If anything, it was too much food for us. Would definately come back next time I'm in Stirling. Great value, fab food and service.

Got a platter to share. The huumous was fab, the flatbread light and airy. Roasted babaganoush, spot on. After the rest of the appetisers we were full, then the main came out! Heaping pile of meat on frites. Heaping slice of baklava with icecream for dessert meant I barely needed to eat the next day!

My 9 year old, who is very picky due to allergies, said the chef had made the best food he ever tasted. He had the lamb kibbeh and chicken skewers. All of our food was so delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be going back!

Visited a while ago before coming to Greece on a holiday. The food was amazing and very authentic.

The food is absolutely delicious and comes in big portions. The owner is really nice and friendly.

Most of the food was great, price was exceptional, although the chips I had were drowning in grease, like the oil wasn't hot enough. Not enough to spoil a good experience. A solid 4.5/5

We made the mistake of not making a dinner reservation for our one night in Stirling and walked all over town looking for a restaurant that would seat us. We are so happy to have found Mediterranea! The staff was so friendly, the service and food excellent, and the atmosphere was cozy and very nice. The gyro plate was excellent, and the baklava is probably the best we've ever tasted. Highly recommend!

We love Mediterranean food (Lebanese) in the USA and this place was great. The host was very personable and genuine as well as attentive. Lamb appetizer was perfect and the sauce was amazing. Definitely recommend dining here.

Absolutely fantastic traditional Greek mezze this evening. Mediterranea is a gem of a place - so glad we found it whilst looking for a restaurant in Stirling. Lovely family business with relaxed and friendly service. The food was so flavoursome and delicious. We cannot recommend highly enough.

A lovely, little restaurant, bright Mediterranean colours and local artwork on the walls. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had the chefs mezze platter and sangria which was fresh and fruity. Will definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

Three of us thoroughly enjoyed a late evening tapas selection. The food is delicious & varied. The staff were friendly & helpful although they are clearly new & needed a little training.

Little nice restaurant. I was so tired and I went to this place which was a few steps from where I was staying. I asked to Go, and even that they normally don’t make it to go they did it. I asked for the Paella. I have to said that I have really high standards for Paella. The best paella that I ever had was in Las Azoles Island, part of Portugal. I have to say that it was my favorite until last night. The portion was excellent for two people, the taste and freshness was perfect, and even that it was in a container that normally is used for leftover, the presentation was awesome. To the point the I even forgot to take a picture. The smell was amazing, shrimps, scallops, squid, mussels, and two King prawns. If you are in Stirling, Scotland, you need to visit this place.

Great food, very friendly staff. We had two of the mains (gyros and chicken) and they were both incredible. The staff was very accommodating with our baby and stopped to chat and play with him. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge! Definitely recommend this place!

An absolutely brilliant cullenary experience! I can not begin to explain how good this restaurant is, their food is as authentic as it gets. Took my lady fair lastnight as she's vegetarian, and the vegetarian tapas options are off the chain, such good diversity for anyone veggy. If you're in Stirling I would urge you to go check this place out! Great Food! Great Staff! Great Vibes!

Love this place - genuine, friendly, and delicious food; John and Marialena are great hosts. Their place always feels welcoming and has a lot of character, especially the downstairs, where they host private events with a hot and cold buffet on demand. A great asset to our town.

We booked this based on the reviews and were not disappointed. The food was the best we experienced in Scotland, service fast and friendly. I would highly recommend!

Delicious!!! Was intrigued by the Greek, Spanish and Middle Eastern mix of food….it works!! We had most of the items on the tapas/meze menu and loved them all….so tasty! Served with passion and excitement….thank you!

We picked this place as there were very few options on a Monday night. What a find!!! The food was tasty and interesting. The staff were outstanding. You have to try the patatas bravas. Well worth a visit!

Food was great. Service was great. All round awesome place. Pricing was a bit unusual for the small plates - “Meat plAtes” about the same as dips. Thats the only critiscism i have. Otherwise great experience.

We went for valentines day and it was fab! Amazing food, lovely atmosphere, and very nice and accommodating staff - they even made our desert a bit bigger as we were sharing and put hearts on it! Would definitely recommend.

This place is amazing. I cannot recommend the food enough here. Baba Ganoush is a must for every meal. for meat eaters any of the lamb meze are a must, although my order of preference would be chops, kibbeh then kofte, but all 3 are well fit. Patatas bravas are also a must include, and the halloumi 😋……honestly it’s worth a visit and try everything you possibly could……this is our second visit and we’ll be back for a third! Also the service is really great.

Been twice now and everything is So. Delicious. Special award goes to the baba ganoush but we always just order lots of picky bits for the table and nothing has disappointed so far 😊

Excellent food and impeccable service

Enjoyed a great takeaway (collected but they do deliver too) and highly recommend the restaurant. Generous portions, freshly prepared and very flavoursome. Good choice on the menu, well priced for the quality and well worth a visit.

I came there right after they opened, so the temperature inside was still cold. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The menu had a decent variety of food. Good prices. I ordered a gyros plate. I was hungry so I asked if she could make it extra.. The gyros plate was very delicious! Too much food tho (my fault). I wish they added more tzatziki. Meat was juicy and tasty. It felt like the bread had spent too much time in the oven, they should have it more soft. I will definitely come back to taste more of their dishes.

Just had a lovely meal here. Had the meze, everything was plentiful, hot and tasty. Washed it down with a very reasonably priced bottle of Merlot. Service was excellent, staff were very friendly. Would definitely go back next time we're in Stirling.

Utterly wonderful. Informal, relaxed restaurant where you're whisked to the east Med yet you feel you're in someone's house as a guest. Charming, I think American host ( not sure about that) but this guy was the perfect host. I'm now determined to learn how to make Baba Ganoush. This is an utter gem of a restaurant.

Delicious food in a laid back atmosphere. Lamb meze was delish as was the falafel. Warm pita was soft and so good with taziki.

I've never felt compelled to leave a review after eating, but this was a little piece of Greek heaven. From the cool guy who delivered while I was pottering in the garden at my firepit to the way the food was presented and packaged was perfect. This was simply stunning and is the best thing I've eaten at a takeaway in my whole time in Stirling.

This is a firm family favourite in my house. They are now doing home delivery in Stirling and the live music is fantastic. Overall, definitely 5 stars!

Incredible vegan mezze and big portions

Visitamos en un ajetreado sábado por la noche, el servicio fue amable y eficiente. Teníamos las tapas mixtas / meze que di para decir que era fantástico y abundante. Los más destacados son keftedes, halloumi y los gyros y chips. En general, una comida muy sabrosa que disfrutamos mucho los dos.
