Always great coffee,food and service from lovely people.

Lovely shop/market/cafe. The food was absolutely delicious, everything we had, from the salad to the dessert. The coffee was good too! I was really impressed and pleasantly surprised with how good all the food and drinks we had were.

The food and atmosphere at Medina are absolutely brilliant - delicious food for a really good price, and in such a nice place, really warm and friendly. Sadly, all this couldn’t make up for a 45 minute wait for food - all of which was clearly pre-prepared and lovingly arranged at the salad bar. It started to get particularly challenging when our hungry children noticed that nearby tables had arrived after us, but ordered and been served well before we were! Such a small thing, but a bit of organisation and urgency in your table staff and you’d be the perfect place for food / coffee / cake / ambience.

Lovely place, excellent service and food was delicious. The bakery section has a varied selection of pastries and cakes. Highly recommend this place.

We loved it! Great wholesome food and very good value too, great staff, lovely deli on site. We can heartily recommend Madina and will definitely visit again.

Very reasonably priced lunch menu with lots of choice. Wide range of vegetarian options, very tasty salads. Enjoyed the small but well curated selections of craft beer - always enjoy cans from Polly’s when in Wales. A couple of mix ups with the service but handled well by staff, who were very friendly and approachable.

Fantastic atmosphere and lovely food. Warn, friendly service, and nice wine range onsite. Bought a lovely bottle of Primitivo Puglia for our evening meal.

We had an absolutely fantastic meal at Medina, what a hidden gem. We had two beautiful & delicious meals as part of the great value lunch special. The home made mergurez sausages were amazing, so much so I bought two packs as gifts for family & friends. Staff were really friendly and chatty and the deli shop gave the canteen area a buzzing atmosphere. I'd 100% recommend.

Service was quite lacking, it took our server 10 minutes to take our order and there was the feeling of being ignored. The food was standard. After we left I had the hygiene rating pointed out to me. Hah!

Visiting Medina, whether it's just for coffee and cake or something more substantial is always a treat. A fabulous array of food and cakes combined with comfortable surroundings and friendly staff make it a real pleasure.

It's a nice place and the food is usually great, but this time two of the salads were very overseasoned (and l love salt!!). Ordered a crumble which took 20 min to arrive at the table -not good! The so-called custard served with it was horrible and contained coconut in some form. That was never mentioned when the waiter was asked if it was a traditional crumble or if it contained any different ingredients - again, not good! For me, the staff's attitude lets the place down. They are desinterested, a little cocky and behave as if working there makes them special but, really, they're just waiters/waitresses that are not very good at their job.

Great food and been there many times. As a party of 7, with 3 children under 6 years, thought best to book a table. Told on the phone that they don't take bookings. Arrived early and found a large table, and just as the other 6 were arriving I was told the table was booked! If I'd known I would have found another cafe. As it was we waited ages for a table with small children milling around, complete with dirty looks from staff. Disappointing. Some suggestions on how you could have dealt with the situation better: 1. Let us stay on the table until another table was ready, as the party for the reserved table did not turn up for over half an hour. 2. Apologise that the table was not clearly marked as reserved. There was a bottle that I noticed much later, where 'reserved' was written on only one side, which faced the kitchen. 3. The waiter should have mentioned the reservation rather giving me menus and taking a coffee order while I waited. 4. The waiters (yes several, I must have looked like trouble) who turfed me off the table just as my family were arriving could have explained why the table was reserved when i had been unable to reserve a table because, as you said on the phone, you 'don't take reservations'. You replied that it was reserved for a 'private party' and when I asked how that differed from a table booking, you kept repeating the words 'private party'. I was none the wiser. 5. An apology would have gone a long way rather than treating me as a difficult customer. 6. You made me feel totally unwelcome at your restaurant. 7. Well done! Your service, or rather the lack of it, has lost a formerly loyal customer. Quite frankly I'd rather eat at MacDonalds, at least they're polite to their customers.

We were visiting the area and only went in for breakfast, but we were really impressed by the food and relaxing ambience. We will definitely return when in Aberystwyth!

My first visit here as was recommended I won't return I had not even sat down before I was asked are you having breakfast I answered I don't know I haven't even sat down yet and I don't have a menu To which I was replied with That's why I'm asking you I found it rude and off putting I sat and ordered Then told that the tea I wanted was unavailable So I had to rechoose My tea came I spilt some by accident My own fault To which the waiter sniggered and asked don't you know how to use the teapot I was like yes He replied oh ok then left But they didn't even offer to wipe up the spillage I had to go to the toilets to get some tissue to clean it myself The breakfast was non discript and soggy bread I really did not feel Comfortable here I went to pay and stood waiting for service It really was a bad experience I wouldn't recommend to anyone

Always amazing food. Great to pop in to get a box of salads for lunch, as well as picking up fresh fruit/veg and bread. Excellent to eat in. Would highly recommend the cinnamon roll.

Not very clear how the order process worked,and no real welcome when we arrived.. Left for 10 minutes without a menu, before we asked. Waiter SAT DOWN and took order from 2 women when we arrived before them. Waiter bringing our food was very blase. Nobody asked how our meal was at any point. Paying station in the doorway was awkward, bad Internet connection.

Still one of the best places for food in Aberystwyth, light and airy atmosphere, great tasting food, and healthy. Only thing, prices are going up and size of portions are going smaller so get there fast. It’s inflation and its effecting everything.

What a gem in Aberystwyth! Super helpful and friendly staff; broad and healthy selection of food to eat in, take away or shop for (fresh produce and grocery). Surroundings are spacious and lovely. Closes quite early unfortunately, but a must-visit if in town.

Food is excellent with swift and polite service. Coffee is also excellent. Loved all the Ottolenghi style deli ingredients you can buy there, really excellent produce available too. If I lived in the area I am sure I would be a regular customer. (I had the shakshuka with feta which I can thoroughly recommend)

Such an excellent lunch for the 3 of us...I'm quite critical when it comes to eating out,but your food was excellent..so delicious.I'm sorry I don't live closer than a 5 hour car trip....

Tasty food, good selection of pastries and salads for takeaway, great coffee. Unfortunately, we were able to come here only on our way out of town. We wish we’d found it earlier.

The food and place were good. Both fried and pushed were terrificly cooked, and the English tea was a bit lighter than usual. Their wide range of bread was brilliant, and they'd got pretty long last of desert as well. I gave a 4 star as the desert offerings were not warm enough. The service was ok, and the atmosphere was a live one. It was so crowded as it's obviously a well known spot for good food. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for all. Good luck!

Wonderful spot serving Mediterranean fare. Portions are generous, flavours are on point, and the value for money is insane. Chicken pitta, cumin potatoes, and a tomato couscous salad all for £12.50. The servers made us feel at home and were overall very friendly. Only issue were the flies that were buzzing around the dining room. Probably due to the fresh produce they had displayed... Overall, a great spot if you want something hot and fresh to eat.

Limited vegetarian options, falafels dry and rock hard.

Stopped in for breakfast, and it was amazing. I had the Shashuka with sausage, it was beautiful. Such a lovely deep rich flavour and well balanced, the toast was excellent too. Everyone else's breakfast looked amazing, and everyone was very happy. The spiced chai latte was also lovely. Staff friendly and efficient and the wait wasn't too long for food.

Nice place for lunch or drinks. Quite an extended beer list and spoilt for choice with regards to the actual lunch (or breakfast). Generous portions too. They also sell fresh produce if you want to have something to cook at home!

Very impressed . The food was very fresh ,high quality and well presented. We arrived at a busy time but staff were pleasant and helpful. We chose from the lunch menu and food was delicious, very different from the norm and not over priced. So glad we found this place and highly recommend it.

When we are in Aberystwyth ( we have a caravan 10 min drive away) we always have breakfast here. Which is always lovely. Friendly staff and quite a quirky place!

The food tastes fresh and healthy. They have a great variety of food for vegans and vegetarians as well. They have good lunch deals that start from 12pm. I had the pork meatballs with mint yogurt, cumin potatoes and a lentil, spinach and apricot salad. It was very delicious and all worked together beautifully. I would definitely recommend for all.

Very nice lunch today..... Ras El Hangout chicken, salads etc ... Everything really nice....lots of variety especially for vegetarians...but myself ...I'd like more I could choose from whilst eating a ketogenic diet. Coffee lovely too .....very good lunch offer of a main 2sakads or cumin potatoes .... I'd like a few more meat choices...but otherwise fantastic. 😁

Very pleasant staff and nice atmosphere partnered with very tasty & quality flavourful food. Coffee and menu are clearly thought out and presented this is out second visit and we will be coming back everything we are in aberystwyth. We have had the lunch and breakfast here not tried the cakes but everything looks very tempting.

Not our first visit which is why we were very glad to be able to visit again for another amazing breakfast. Three different breakfasts catering for different tastes and diets were taken and enjoyed very much. A Shakshuka with added Feta and Merguez sausage was mine and was fabulous. We also had the French Toast with Fruit Compote and also the Potato hash. The coffee was fab too. We will always try and come for breakfast when we're here and hope to come for dinner too.

I wish we had come upon Medina earlier in our stay in Aber. We would have gone there again and again. We had the sea bass and the mackerel. Delish. The food was tasty and the service was top notch. They also have a store with fresh veggies and culinary finds for cooking. We also bought a large take away salad for our travels the next day. This is a can’t miss in Aberyswyth.

Absolute gem. The atmosphere was perfect, great music on not too loud, smelt fantastic and bright and airy. The staff were all lovely. Food was great! The pulled chicken kebab was excellent as was the whipped goats cheese. The chargrilled broccoli was super salty, lemony, garlicky with a nice charred sweetness. We were pretty shocked to hear that they’ll be stopping evening service for a while due them not being busy enough! Cannot understand why that would be the case as it’s brilliant!

Excellent food and amazing service considering how late and how busy it was. Halva ice cream was something very different. Next time I'll have baklava! Update following next visit. Disappointed that the grilled halloumi was deep fried. But grateful to have it sent back to be done properly. I don't think the food was as good overall as last time and my coffee was spilt all over the place by the time it reached me.

Food is superb, staff are really attentive and a lovely restaurant. They could do with more vegetarian and vegan options but the food was top notch. Definitely recommend.

Excellent fresh food and extensive wine list. The cod main course was one of the nicest fish dishes have ever tasted. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem of Aberystwyth. Lots of fresh food and an extensive menu for every meal. We had breakfast and then returned for happy hour and a late lunch! Fantastic price and lovely staff.

I have never been so impressed with a place to eat as this. We went in for breakfast. I had the veggie breakfast and my husband had the full breakfast. The poached eggs were perfect. My wilted spinach tasted so delicious. My halloumi was scrumptious. The premises was very cool: The right mix of laid-back style and ultra-smart ambience. Even the glass vases that were placed on the middle of each "reclaimed" table were sparklingly clean and contained fresh flowers. As well as the food on the menu, there was a wide range of fresh food and produce to buy to take home; organic vegetables, eggs, local cheeses, olives, & olive oil, fresh, organic milk, freshly baked loaves of bread, muffins and pastries. The whole place was spotlessly clean. Best of all, coming from Manchester, I expected Medina to be hugely expensive but the prices were very reasonable.

Restaurant: The food is consistently excellent, with highly creative dishes which are always well seasoned and presented. Service is also great, with highly friendly and helpful staff. Shop: Wide range of fresh fruits and vegetables, generally of a higher quality than local supermarkets. Milk, cheese, bread (freshly baked in house), eggs and other staples can be bought here. Savoury and sweet pastries are made freshly every day. Products from around the world can be bought here.

Delightful, with a sparkling atmosphere, this is a wonderful Café/Restaurant, having four distinct spaces to chat, eat, or just have a coffee. Serving alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, speciality teas, and a full range of coffees. Offering an extensive menu, pastries, and cakes guaranteed to have something for everyone. It has a real community feel and also sells an excellent range of fresh vegetables. It's definitely a place, not to be missed ! On a damp dull day, it's definitely the brightest place to be.

Always love eating at Medina so come every chance we get. Arrived with family at 4:25pm & despite being open until 6 and saying last seating 4:30 the 5 members of staff apparently were unable to serve us food. We & the kids were extremely disappointed & would have booked ahead if that option was still available..

Everything was nearly perfect good except over cook bacon. The restaurant set up (hippy styl) the food and spped of service qas great. I loved my brotosh breakfast and observe other customers gumbling thier meals with great appetite

Top all round in my mind. Relaxed atmosphere and ambient lighting makes you feel un-rushed and relaxed Service is attentive and not annoying and staff know their kitchen. Food is comforting and un-pretentious, full of flavour and delivered in the right proportions. Pulled Lebanese Chicken Shawarma was particularly good. I'll be back . Thank you, team
