Completely empty place. Drinks paid at dishonest prices. I go out to smoke a cigarette and I'm not allowed back in. I'm initially shocked, thinking it's a joke. But it wasn't like that. Even though I had all my friends and my personal belongings (phone and bag with documents) at the table, by "decision" of the "security" supervisor I was left alone at 1 am outside the club. The only person to save is the bartender. Really cute, sweet and polite. For the rest, the behavior of the "safety" supervisor remains something shameful. I strongly advise any tourist not to approach the place.

Great place to hang out with family or friends.

The food is not that good and the toilet like mystery to i open 3 doors to reach it in underground and when i ask for the food to take way they give me the boxes are empty and I am doing their work and filling them

The restaurant is dark inside and the songs are loud and annoying. The chicken is halal, the meat is not halal. Most of the people who are there are from Kuwait. Its location is okay. Unfortunately, the food is not good enough compared to the price, but the quantity is excellent compared to the price. I do not recommend it and I will not repeat the experience. The fries were more acceptable than the chicken burger.

The sauce of the buffalo chicken burger was salty and overpowered; I can’t barely taste any blue cheese flavour. The mac and cheese was just alright and not fresh. The best dishes for the night was the Nashville hot dust chips which was crispy, fresh and moreish.

I recently visited MEATliquor Bar & Restaurant and ordered the DEAD HIPPIE, DIRTY CHICKEN, ONION RINGS, and TONKATSU FINGERS. The food was absolutely delicious, and the quality was excellent. I only wish there was a Korean sweet and sour sauce option for the chicken fingers or even for the wings. Unfortunately, the only downside to my experience was the extremely loud and almost deafening music, which left my ears aching. I hope they can address the volume for a more enjoyable dining experience.

Meatliquor is always great in my books, but not what it used to be. Think maybe they have changed food suppliers as the burgers I remembered were a lot more greasy as well as the chilli cheese fries more flavoursome. Almost forgot to mention, the team were short staffed that evening due to some last minute absentees, but shout out to the team for doing everything they could to keep the place running!

I recently had a brilliant meal here! Our server from Greece really made the night special with his outstanding service. Food and drinks were solid, and I loved the vibe of the place. Everything was clean, and the service was quick, which made for a really enjoyable experience. I can't wait to come back!

Best thing about this restaurant was the staff. They must have good management because they all seemed to be in good spirits and diligently getting on with their jobs. The burger was a little dry but good for a late night spot!

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding our recent experience at your establishment. I had booked a table for the evening of 12/01 clearly specifying in advance that there would be a minor with us and receiving confirmation that their presence would not be an issue. However, upon arrival at the restaurant, the bouncer denied us entry specifically because of the minor, despite the fact that I had clarified this detail during the booking process. This situation left us in an extremely difficult position: it was already 1 a.m., with a child, and no alternative dining options available. I find this handling unacceptable, both due to the inconsistency in the information provided and the lack of empathy shown. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

ML does one of the best burgers! The slice of grilled white onion makes it. Choice of fries is excellent. The huge onion rings are a must.

Terrible experience and disappointing management of the place. We arrived with a confirmed reservation, including a specific agreement that allowed the entry of a minor. Despite this, the staff, in particular a person outside the door with authoritarian and arrogant attitudes, prevented us from entering, completely ignoring what had already been agreed. We found ourselves at half past midnight without food, despite having done everything in order. It is absurd that a place, which should be based on customer service, shows a total lack of flexibility and respect towards its guests. An experience to forget, and definitely a place we won't return to. If you are looking for a place that offers professionalism and attention, look elsewhere.

Great experience with bar staff. That evening, my flatmate, who is a woman, had drunk a little too much, and I found myself helping her outside so we could catch a taxi home. As we made our way out, a woman from the bar staff (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name) approached us. After confirming that I was helping my friend leave, she expressed genuine concern, asking if I knew her, as my flatmate was struggling to stand and clearly unable to look after herself. I reassured the staff member by showing her a few pictures to confirm our friendship, and she then gave me and my friend a careful once-over. I t was a brief interaction, but it what struck me was how much the staff member seemed to care - which is always a good trait for the staff to have.

Also, impressed to see how much the vegetarian menu has grown over the years, there really is something for everyone on the menu. The atmosphere is brilliant, and there is often a live act on. requested order to have no mayonnaise due to dietary allergy requirements. burger came absolutely covered in a massive of mayonnaise, just eat flat put refused to make the order right despite me taking the required steps to ensure my food SHOULD come correct. never ordering from here again nor just eat, sticking to other delivery service that care for their customers.

Buffalo chicken burger and dead hippie burger are both exceptional

Apparently, if you're a tourist, they charge you an "Optional 12.5% Service Charge" without even asking. No way to get a refund once you already paid and not even an apology. Go somewhere else!!

I rarely review but this was a terrible experience. First came the food order where they add on all of their bills an optional £1 donation to some random charity + optional service charge. Except they don't ask, they just add it. We then left our table to go for a smoke, we had full drinks some food and left our coats. The table was full cleared within 5 minutes. I asked the staff and they said they will check CCTV to give us the right amount of drinks back 😂 Waitress randomly put 2 random beers on our table, wasn't for us so we let her know when she came back. Served it to another table, didn't check if we might have drank from it. Just not worth the place, never again.

A nice restaurant, but do not be philosophical and take different types of sauces, take a cheeseburger, noisy and noisy atmosphere, reservations are preferred.

My husband and I used to come here all the time (we would even walk and get take out over covid) but since moving out of London it was has been a while! We decided to pop in after an event (we were both wearing really formal clothes). We tried to use the Photo Booth which took payment but didn’t print our photos. We were told it was broken and to contact the company directly. That was annoying but the reason for the 1 star is they served my sober husband an alcoholic beer. By the grace of god he checked the can before he had it, the entire restaurant was pretty much empty so most of the staff were just chatting amongst each other, I finally just got up after I wasn’t able to flag anyone down and handed them back the beer saying this has alcohol in it. No apology was given, it was very nonchalantly dealt with. At the end of the meal I went to complain to the manager and immediately she started shouting at me saying all I was after was a free meal. Again I was in pretty much really formal wear but she kept screaming again and again I’m “begging for a free meal” I was just wanting to know how they would deal with ensuring they do not make the mistake of serving alcohol to someone who is an alcoholic. They did not fully grasp how serious this was and I was just shouted at. I’m just so shocked with how we were treated while we were there. The behaviour of the manager was horrendous, a security guard had to come over to calm her down. It’s such a shame as we used to go all the time as we both used to live and work near the SW and W1 meat Liqor. I’m not sure what’s happened but the staff now working there are complete opposite of what you think of when we used to go. It used to be such a fun friendly environment with a really welcoming atmosphere, now it’s just really poor service and clearly the manager that night was looking for an argument. Such a shame but we will never go back after how badly we were treated. I really hope they look into this and understand the seriousness of the mistake made.

my friends and I were waiting for a table for six, and we were told we’d be the next to be seated. However, they let another group of six without a reservation go in ahead of us. On top of that, the staff member we dealt with was extremely disrespectful. This experience was very disappointing!

Bouncer was absolutely horrible and treated us awfully - acting like a teacher calm down mate your just security. He attempted to intimidate myself and two other women waiting to be seated in the queue. He seemed aggressive and generally very rude. Later we were accused of not paying the bill by a member of staff we had not seen throughout our meal and who clearly did not know her tables as she was waving around the wrong receipt when we had already paid. Terrible experience with some of the individuals here as some were genuinely really lovely. Also super concerned about the many reviews around hygiene i’ve now seen on here :(

We came here as we were walking past and starving, we were given a table as soon as we walked in. The food was excellent and came out very quickly, the service staff were all lovely. The walk to the toilet is very dingy and creepy which is the only thing I felt uneasy about!

We requested zero Coke and Sprite, but the drinks were brought to us in glass glasses. When we asked for the drinks to be served in cans instead, we were informed that it couldn't be changed because we had already placed the order. The manager's response was not friendly, and we felt dismissed in our request. This experience did not meet our expectations, and I hope you will address these concerns to improve customer service in the future.

I recently had what I can only describe as my worst dining experience at MEATliquor W1, located near Oxford Circus. After a pleasant night at the cinema, I decided to pop into this supposedly vibrant bar and restaurant for a quick bite, only to be met with utter disappointment. Upon arrival, I was confronted by two security guards whose demeanor was nothing short of arrogant and rude. Their lack of professionalism was shocking; they showed no interest in facilitating entry, and for no discernible reason, seemed intent on barring me from even entering the premises. This behavior was not just unwelcoming but outright hostile. My experience at MEATliquor W1 was so off-putting that I am compelled to share this warning with others. The security staff's attitude was a clear indicator of the establishment's disregard for customer service and hospitality. I would never recommend this place to anyone looking for a good night out or a decent meal. Their ambiance might be lively, and their burgers might have a reputation, but the front door experience here leaves much to be desired. Steer clear unless you're prepared for potential rudeness at the entrance. This place needs to seriously re-evaluate how it treats its patrons if it hopes to retain any respect or support from the public.

We had a fantastic experience at Meatliquor Oxford Circus. The manager Viktor was so welcoming and helpful, he really looked after us. A surprising amount of vegan options are available that were delicious! I’ll definitely be back to try the other options. Highly recommended.

Really great service from Marius. Food was really nice. Loads of plant based options for my vegan friend too. Atmosphere gets 4 stars because the music is quite loud so couldn’t hear each other properly over the table.

Unfortunately a terrible experience due to a lack of genuine customer service. We started the night in good spirits but were shown the exit door. Terrible service by a manager who was not able to manage our simple request for meat and liquor. Apparently they cannot see customers. Please be more attentive to your customers. Finally found a burger spot in London that knows how to do it right! I can’t stand those massive patties everyone else is serving, I am not eating the burger for the big chunk of meat. Love that they do thin patties that are just perfect. It tastes like a classic American burger should, nothing fancy schmancy with a bunch of random things inside , just simple and really delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff is genuinely friendly. If you’re looking for a place that does simple burgers really well, this is the spot.
