Burgers are really really good, best in Brighton in my opinion 😋 👌

I ordered on Uber eats, burger was amazing but I ordered the hot mess hash browns and the sauce reallllyyyy tastes and smells of vomit, to the point where I am actually worried someone threw up on the food, being generous with 3 stars because the sauce is apparently blue cheese, pickles, and buffalo sauce which in hindsight would taste quite vomity, so maybe my mistake, however my stomach was also upset and painful the next day

The staff were lovely, my partner ordered a burger which was delicious but my chicken was soggy and the sauce was vinegary so didn’t like it much. Would come back again for burgers, the hash browns and the blue cheese sauce though.

My husband and I went here today for lunch. We had a fantastic experience. The staff were very friendly and informative and the food was 10/10. Great experience and we cannot wait to return.

This restaurant is a great discovery. The decoration is magnificent, the staff are adorable. Thanks to them. We will definitely come back!

Excellent food and service. The decor inside is reminiscent of a few bars/eateries across the UK but is done well. Service was good with attentive and polite staff. Food was amazing and great portion sizes.

Not what it used to be from the biggest fan 10 years ago+. Good to see vegan options now but halal meat is brutal. Not a place for any decent Brightonion to go. Food is guffff now sadly and massively overpriced. Frozen baps. Cheap ingredients. Won’t be back again.

I came in today around 5pm with my partner for a little date. The food was really yummy, especially the blue cheese burger. The staff were also all lovely and really attentive, and the place itself is amazingly decorated and cool. Would really recommend - and thank you again to the lovely staff who were extremely helpful. The menu also had plenty of vegetarian/vegan options, as well as zero alcohol cocktails so there's something for everyone

The food came relatively fast. The service was okay but was quite expensive for what it was.

Ordered £46 worth of food from here this evening on Uber eats(have complained there also with images) Chips came and where stale, cold, almost hard and the portion size was ridiculous Burgers are falling apart, freezing cold and just not very nice at all the buns had gone to mush… Chicken was freezing cold and sauce almost had skin on top where they had been sat so long… will never order from here again we where first time customers and really looking forward to trying… what a waste of money. Then tried to ring restaurant to speak and Daisy the manger put the phone down on me half way through the conversation and kept repeating herself asking me to do things I’d told her I’d already done with Uber but judging by the tone she replies to other unhappy customers this is how everyone that has an unpleasant experience is dealt with, rude staff and awful food…

Gluten free option on the menu. Atmosphere is a sight to behold. You must visit the toilets, the corridor is amazing. Service to the table was very good. There are also tables outside on those Brighton sunny days. Recommended.

By far the rudest bar staff I have ever encountered in Brighton. I wasn’t planning to elaborate, but as the manager has decided to defend the indefensible, here goes. I had been at the fan zone across the road and was about to cycle home. I accepted the non-customer policy for toilets without any argument. I’ve worked in a bar, I get it. But I’m still astonished that they would not give someone a glass of tap water at the end of a baking hot day ahead of a cycle ride. I’ve genuinely never come across that, and when I protested, I was accused of being “inebriated” - I’d had 2 pints all evening! I left and told them I’m leave a terrible review, which I did, and which I stand by completely. Anyone who goes on my Google profile will see the overwhelming majority of reviews I leave are extremely positive, especially in Brighton, where customer service tends to be universally excellent. Fortunately, normal service was resumed in Hobgoblin a few doors down, where they let me use their toilet and drink their water, so that I was able to cycle home comfortable and well-hydrated. I won’t be going to MEATliquor again and would highly recommend you don’t either.

We came in after many strong recommendations of this restaurant, and were really excited to see the funky interior decor of the place. We were seated in a comfy corner booth, and sat browsing with the menus. There’s so much on offer, but I opted for a chicken burger, whilst my friend went for beef. Everything came out so fresh and juicy, and well exceeded any expectations we’d set. It’s not too expensive in there either, especially considering how much food you get! Highly recommend.

It didnt take long for our order to be taken , the only down fall is that the music is way too loud in the establishment. Plenty of food and beverages to choice from on the menu . Would have given 0 if option was provided. Went in with friends and got total disrespect from the staff as per our demands. Asked to swap food over, however they left our food on the table only to tell us we had to pay and get a 20% discount on food we told them we didn’t want the moment it came out! Terrible customer service as well as mediocre food. We spent nearly 100 pounds to receive a bad taste in the mouth.

Expensive but really good food- I had the monkey fingers (saucy and hot spicy) with the dead hippie sauce and the fried mac and cheese balls with garlic ranch sauce- so very tasty. Very cool atmosphere and imagine with friends, drinking it would be a fun place to start an evening

Really good burgers and hot dogs, nice tempeh loaded chips- surprisingly meaty for a vegan dish. The atmosphere was really chill and cosy, and the staff were nice. Only problem is that they gave me a meat hot dog instead of vegan (i thought it was too good to be true) but luckily I'm not veggie so I didn't mind. But maybe double make sure with them when you order.

The building is quite punk cool vibes the staff are all lovely. It can be a little loud for someone who is sensitive to loud environments. Offer a range of food options including you can swap burger buns for lettuce instead.

I Came here a few weeks ago with a friend for lunch and their lunch menu is so much cheaper I got a couple of dead hippie burgers. As always fantastic the one thing I didn't like is they put half a cup of ice in my drink I basically pay £4 for ice apart from that ok room temperature food chips were awful I was also disappointed with the huge service charge for no service

Had the lunchtime deal here. Burger and side for £12. Was delicious and filling. Cocktails were also half price which was a bonus. Lunch and 6 cocktails came to £48! Bargain

Ordered a home delivery thru a food delivery app, so on this occasion I can't comment on atmosphere or staff service. Both get an over average 4/5. The last time I was in the venue in person, I'd like to think that at least one of those would be a 5. The Dirty Hippy burger was averagely fine. Having two decades of experience in the hospitality industry in most of the positions in existence, I'm not a fan of wings, I don't understand why people like them, I don't think they should be on buffet/fingerfood menus, they're rarely tidy fingerfood. but as I had a visitor who's never cooked for a living, wings were ordered. Shockingly poor. The wings were extremely small, with little meat for teeth to tear or lips to suck off bones. They must have come from the smallest chicken chicks legally allowed yo be used. The spicy sauce they were tossed in was Thoroughly underwhelming. Burgers: excellent, will definitely be eating again. The wings, not so.

Meatliquor Brighton brings the cool ambiance and unique dining experience the chain is known for. The atmosphere is vibrant, perfect for a night out. However, the pricing felt steep for the offerings. While the food was good, it didn't quite hit the mark expected for the cost. It's a decent spot for a fun evening, but the value equation could be better balanced.

Really tasty food and great portions, I didn't see any gluten free options (but I didn't ask either)- I got a burger wrapped in salad and some buffalo fries and they were amazing and filling. Staff is friendly. You can order and pay through the app so that saves time. The place was slightly loud for my taste but overall it was a great experience.

We come here for special occasions. Both me and my friend group swear by it! Would come more but its a bit of a trek from where we live. The food is delicious, the staff have always been a highlight and the atmosphere is just generally chill. Fully recommend their Monkey Fingers, their smash burgers and either their hard shakes or 'Game Over' cocktail.

Came for a pre-comedy show meal and was not dissapointed. Food was great as usual and the staff were very friendly. My only gripe is they have changed to sesame seeded buns for the burgers which isn't to my taste, but that's a personal preference. Bring back the soft plain buns! :D

As much as I respect an eating challenge - this Everest of carbs is a challenge too far and you get stuck with a ~£40 bill if you don’t finish the last chip (even with mastermind music and staff members egging you on)

I come here every year for my birthday (as well when I have a treat day) but this time was exceptional. The manager was amazing! She served us all with friendliness, patience and knowledge. She went above and beyond. The food and drink was great as always and I highly recommend giving this a visit. Thumbs up from us👍

When living in London used to go to meat mission a lot but since moving haven’t been for years, so on a recent business trip to Brighton thought it would be rude not to. Best chicken burger I've had in ages, fries also great. Wings weren’t quite as good as I remembered and seemed a bit over priced but still would order again. Excellent selection of drinks. Staff really friendly and attentive. My photos don’t really do justice ;-)

Very rock musical atmosphere!!!

It was our first visit. The burgers were very average and chips were too salty. There was no proper salad option. But I was surprised that the bill had added a tip of 12.5%, luckily optional. My surprise was because Service consisted of dumping the food on a large tray, then plonking down a pile of cutlery and tin bowls (some were chipped) and leaving us to sort the meals out ourselves. I certainly would not be leaving a large tip when we did most of the job ourselves. The tin dishes reminded me of camping. We won't be returning.

Fabulous burger! I'm gluten free so I took my own bun - the lady who served us was helpful and quite happy for me to do so. Great to hear Grog is limited to 2 per person - such a lovely drink but with a kick!

Checked the opening hours online - turned up to restaurant on a Wednesday lunchtime and they were shut! Checked social media to see if they had announced the closure and nothing. Absolutely fine to close when they like but a sign on the door, changing online hours or noting on social media would be great. One of the only dog friendly places that end of town so a pain to manage and quite unprofessional.

One of the few restaurants that seem to open on a Sunday in Brighton these days. Very lively and unique ambience with a suitably unique food and drink menu to match. Service is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. My son is a vegan, and we have struggled to accommodate him these days, although its getting better you still need to go to a proper vegan restaurant, otherwise you only get a few pitiful options on most menus, included mostly as an afterthought. Not so here as they have a number of very well thought out vegetarian and vegan options within an otherwise very meat heavy theme. Really well done to the guys that came up with them. Only one minor complaint is that there are several Vegan desserts available, but not clearly mentioned in the menu and also the waitress knew nothing about them, which needs addressing as we left needing a dessert but not ordering one! Still gets 5* overall as everything else is really very good indeed.

First time to the Brighton restaurant and the food was great as all the London restaurants I have been too. I was in a rush on the way to the restaurant and forgot to post a Birthday Card back home to my mum. In a rush when leaving the restaurant I left the card by the side of the table. When I realised I called the restaurant to see if they had it and if I could collect it. The lady who answered the phone looked for it straight away, found it and very kindly offered to post the card on her way home after her shift. This was incredibly kind and I am really thankful. My mum received her card in time. Thank you to that extremely kind member of staff, the gesture was really appreciated.

Tasty as ever! I drove over from Hastings just to have lunch! Visited with my children and they accommodated a small baby too, not pushy, very relaxed. Love the decor too. I've been a few times but first time for my children.

I love the food at MeatLiquor but why is it so loud, even at midday on a weekday. They forgot my daughter’s hotdog which was disappointing as she had to wait another ten minutes for her food after we were all served.

Heaven truly does exist ! Visited last night with my Bf as we are staying in Brighton for 2 days and Holy moly this place.... its everything I could ask for. The decor is right up my street, the food was incredible, the cocktails were delicious and the staff.... Next level service, our 2 waitresses couldn't do enough for us, friendly, helpful & given it was NYE so accommodating. I didn't want to leave I had such an amazing time. I'll definitely be coming to Brighton & this place will be the first place I head for !!

Waited 20 mins to see a server. Drinks took another 15 mins to arrive. Food showed up almost an hour after ordering. Disorganised. Chicken burger was terrible, no chicken in it hardly. Buffalo fries were a mess, sauce way too thin, was just swimming at the bottom of the dish. Beef burger was the only thing that was nice. Optional tips and charity donation already added to make you feel awkward to say take it off. Won't be rushing back there anytime soon, which is a shame as normally an enjoyable experience. **Edit based on response We visited on 20th, didn't leave the review on the day. Chicken burger is normally very nice and decent size, ive had it before, that's why i ordered it again, but this occasion it was lacking. Don't wish to provide any further information or speak on the matter, left my review from that experience, and choose to leave it at that.

Stopped off for a late lunch and had two awesome burgers are fries. Food is top quality, service is friendly and quick, atmosphere is absolutely awesome and music fits the vibe very well. I and my table had an awesome experience and would recommend everyone and anyone to give it a try

I like the food but recently they add a lot to the bill one day they will include 10% for using the WC; things like optional should be opt in not opt out i don’t want to keep checking the bill and calculating. Also ordering drinks is just 50 mL of what you’ve ordered and the rest is ice.

Took the grandkids who seemed to have a good time but we would never ourselves go for the food.

Quirky restaurant moments away from Brighton Station. Serves a number of delicious burger, wings and sides. Would highly recommend trying the monkey fingers - they are chicken tenders drenched in buffalo sauce. The decor or the restaurant is great. Lots of posters and booths etc

Service was a bit slow and inattentive even when it was mostly empty. Once food and drink was ordered though, everything came quickly, even tap water which usually is forgotten.

I go to Meat Liquor often with friends and always order the Monkey Fingers without fail. However, the new recipe is not nice, the batter is tasteless and dry and I know many people will agree with this. We’ve ordered Monkey fingers a thousand times and have never had an issue with it being soggy or oily. Unfortunately, Meat Liquor have lost some loyal customers as this was one of the best, if not the best, item from their menu.

I don't like giving 5 stars, but everything about this place gets them all, much to my surprise. Excellent menu, well cooked, great interesting cocktails, super service, groovy music, great vibes and all at incredibly low prices. My only complaint is that they include service, and I wanted to leave a bigger tip.

Still one of the best places you can get a burger anywhere in the country.

Waited over an hour for food with no pre warning that it would be that long. Asked several times for updates which consistently said "only 5 mroe minutes". Basic customer service involves informing of extended wait times, it's not hard!

This place used to be amazing, not anymore I’m afraid!! New manager just not bothered, 2 guys coming 30mn before closing on a slow night? Just built a story like to make sure he’s gonna home early…. Head office must now clients are pushed away every days 30mn before closing…

Sadly not the venue it used to be. The food is still great, but the prices no longer feel reasonable and the service was on the lower end of disappointing.

This place was really cool. The drinks were amazing (I didn't order any because I didn't feel good, but I tried my friends' ones. The waiter also kept bringing big jugs of water for me, which I loved) and were strong. I also got a burger from here and ate some of my friends' food too, all of which tasted absolutely amazing. The waiters were also very friendly and helpful. Now this is weird for most places but my favourite part about this place was the toilet, now don't let that put you off but the toilet... well... let's just say it's insanely trippy, and I loveeeeed it. Definitely recommend! :)

It's hard to beat. It's really just various different forms of beef, chicken, or veggie alternative in awesome buffalo sauce. ALL of them amazing. If you don't like buffalo sauce, it's fine, everything's great without it anyway.

Very quiet night a Sunday at 7:30 but we were sat and left so we ordered on the app, service throughout really lacked, they didn't have the drink we ordered so got something similar, and got a birthday shot for my boyfriend which was a nice touch. Food arrived in good time and to spec. There was no atmosphere so we moved on pretty quick after eating as already paid and no real incentive to stay. Had to go to the bar to pay for the drinks. I've always loved the MEAT brand and visited the London ones alot so was a shame Brighton didn't have the same customer service vibe.

Trendy burger bar just a few minutes away from Brighton station. Great atmosphere and a good selection of beers and burgers. It was a tasty burger but lacked a little explosion for the taste buds. Would recommend going to check out.

Went here twice now as I loved it so much the first time. Lovely little restaurant with cool vibes inside. Food is amazing, with some vegetarian options available (I'm not veggie but my friend is and she said it was very good). Not too expensive either which was a bonus. Staff are lovely

Was staying in brighton and was looking for a place to eat. We stumbled across this diner, we orded a dead hippie burger, cheese and onion fries, plain jane burger and salt n pepper fries. Good food, good service and great atmosphere.

Had the Dead Hippie Burger whilst my girlfriend had the Bacon cheese burger. Both cooked perfectly and delicious, amongst the best I've ever tasted. Drinks a little pricey but the lunchtime deal evens things out. Dog friendly inside and out, they really helped take care of our Daschund with a nice bowl of water and dogs are allowed inside. Service was great. Friendly and attentive waitresses. I love the decor inside (matter of taste I suppose) and the meal arrived promptly and tasted great. Overall a good lunchtime experience with great food. Would recommend.

The food was nice but very pricey, we're talking 20 quid for burger and chips which when paired with the abandonment from the staff once you've ordered your food seems too much especially when the tip is an opt out option.

MeatLIQUOR is, I suppose, a trendy food bar; apparently, one must wait in line for hours and hours at the London venue. Here, in Brighton, on Thursday at noon, things were different, or rather, the place was still empty. I was struck by the fancy colour scheme and so was my son, so we went in. Yes, well, better eat outside when you have epilepsy. I don't, but that nearly changed on visiting the loo. Don't misunderstand, I liked the place's design theme, it's just a bit... overpowering. OK, food then, because that's what we're here for. I had a Dead Hippie Burger. It did not contain dead hippies, as Wednesday would complain, but it was a really nice burger. My wife and daughter had theirs wrapped rabbit-style (ie in lettuce, nu bun) while my son went for the BBQ wings. I had my fries Nashville dusted, which was rather too salty and maybe a pit too spicy for all tasted. I was happy here, and will come again, but it's not worth waiting three hours in the rain for what is essentially a good hamburger.
