Early lunch visit so fairly quiet, plenty of seats. First time in a Mcds for many years. Easy onscreen ordering system, confusing onscreen order updates - couldn’t tell if our order was ready or just being prepared but at least they shout your order number when it is ready. We had a Mcplant cheeseburger & fries with coffee - everything tepid, nothing worse than limp tepid fries ! Didn’t want the stress of complaining at the time - hence this review. On the positive side staff smiley and friendly, cleaning staff did a good job keeping tables & floor clean. Could be a few more years before we visit again.

Popped into McDonald’s at the Holmbush today, friendly and joyous staff, quick delivery of warm and tasteful food but wanted too try the caramel latte, it was as expected and nice and warm after doing my shopping. But mainly how helpful your staff are too the older generation, talking on their level and assisting them as well. Also a nice young lady came and took my tray, and asked if I had finished, which I had. A nice visit in a calm atmosphere. Well done Holmbush Team…

Very poor experience even by fast food standards. Food took a long time to arrive and was cold by the time it was served to me. Many customers were irrate and was unpleasant listening to them complain throughout my meal. I don't think I would return to this branch when I have received better service at other mcdonalds in the area.

Don't waste your time with delivery part of the order was missing and what we had was cold. Apparently its not mcdonalds issue who put me onto the delivery company and suprise suprise there was nothing they can do.

The staff are very friendly and cool , great with kids and old people . It's a pleasure to be there !

Every single time I order without fail items are always missing. You pay for these items. Then you phone up asking to get them delivered and it's a straight up no. Sort it out.

Went to Shoreham drive through McDonald's and yet again NO milkshakes, frappe or mc flurry all because the staff can not be bothered to clean it!! This is a regular occurrence. The management is crap as well.

The beef patties are by far the best. The other restaurants should learn from this one. The beef has a far superior taste and usually the milk shake machine works a rarity in the others. The staff are brilliant especially the front of house. Hospitality is shown especially by Cindy who goes over and beyond and should be recognised.

Absolutely terrible experience on a Saturday night. Placed order on one of the touchscreen displays, it didn't give a receipt, just a number on the display. Fine, I went to the waiting area and looked up at the boards and there was no sign of my number. I waited, 5mins, 10mins, asked a member of staff if my order was with them as I couldn't see it on their boards. Was told 'not sure, it must be there'. Continue to wait, 15mins, 20mins, check again, same answer. All the while my autistic child was getting very irate in the car. Finally gave up after 25mins of waiting and asked for a refund. Absolutely chaos in the kitchen, clueless front of house staff who couldn't care less and just poor overall management. Certainly one of the worst McDonald's I've been to. So much for 'fast' food. AVOID

3 times in a row wrong order. Not sure if it's Mackie Dee in general that's getting worse or just this one. I love a Macdonald's. I have stopped going. I don't think the staff can cope with the stupid menu. I think it's getting to big

Food was warm, and relatively quick for a change. My wife wanted a special order but their system was unable to cope with only the burger and cheese, it defaults to plain no cheese. The tables were kept clean and washed down between customers. The quality and taste of food was what you would expect from McDonald's, OK if there is no where else to eat.

Found service slow and disorganised. I would understand if there was a drive through and it was exceptionally busy. But no. Observed better at other far busier branches.

Useful location, good service and helpful staff. Children enjoy the electronic games.

Despite being very busy, food was ready pretty quickly, and tasty as always.

Food arrived promptly and nicely cooked but cardboard knife and fork don't cut through pancakes or the sausage meat so you have to use your syrup covered fingers. 2023 and cardboard utensils and straws is the best McDonald's can do, come on 🤦‍♂️

This place is a shambles, never any frappe or milkshakes, food always cold and tasteless, waiting for your food takes forever, tables and seating always dirty!! I got a coke in a used dirty cup and didn't realise until later on 🤢

Decent good value food, good service

I didn't actually visit, but used the McDonald's App for McDelivery. It is not the first time and most experiences have been good apart from food being a bit cold. This time though I had some missing golden Syrup with Porridge that I ordered. The App directs you to deal with Uber Eats, but they were unable to help me. I know it sounds petit, but I have experienced missing larger items several times, not necessarily with McDonald's though. This becomes very tedious when you don't get what you order. Anyway, the syrup does cost extra and I was not reimbursed. I just want the service to get it right first time!

I visit here often and every time the soft drinks are flat. The reason is that they prepare them in advance of food being ready and leave them sitting there. I've complained about it, as have others, but they give excuses about it saving time. What does it save when you have to serve it twice when we complain and for most who don't complain, they don't enjoy it? Maybe just wait until the food is ready? Otherwise, no complaints but this drink situation needs changing.

It's McDonald's. You know what to expect. Not the best burgers in the world, but not the most expensive.

Had breakfast was quick and hot. Only downfall do not do soya milk.

I’ve dined almost weekly at McDonalds in Spain as soon as we were allowed to again, always when we do the weekly shop. Loads of hand steriliser everywhere. Ordered from a filthy screen at Holmbush, nothing to clean my hands. Ate the meal after we requested the table and seats be cleaned. What is the point of delivering to tables which we’ve never seen before - when they are not clean and ordering is not safe! I’m really ill right now writing this.

Normal McDonalds fayre although burger quite dry. Very busy being situated between Tesco and M and S. Lots of families 👪 . Very Very average, clean, busy, fast food pretty much as you have come to ex0ect from every Mcdonaldsbin the country. If you want an alternative then the only ones around are a very small coffee shop immediately next door or in M and S there's a cafe sandwiches and the like. Obviously neither of these sell burgers.

No milkshake again! Ever since I was a child the two things that make a McDonalds is its burgers and milkshakes. It's like a burger restaurant not selling burgers. I always hurt myself after visiting this McDonalds as its like throwing money down the toilet, you may as well have. Burgers are terrible, cold, untasty pieces of garbage. Chips also cold and flaccid. Note to McDonalds, fries should be hot and crispy. No milkshakes which is pretty much the only reason I travel 2 minutes to your drive through rather than the 15 minutes to Hove Burger King. If you don't do milkshakes then what's the point, Burger King beat you on fries and burgers, and they have mayo as a dip. Even my 7 year old dislikes McDonalds as he thinks rhe quality of the food is "crap" his words not mine. Do yourself a favour and change to Burger King or vastly improve the quality of food. For anyone wanting a real Burger, Pit and Pal in Shoreham is a million times better, or just drive into Hove to Burger King.

Picked up a takeaway order for a celebration only to find after getting home a big mac was missing ruining the day and leaving my son without his meal. Called the restaurant and their only solution was for me to drive 8 miles to collect it without them covering costs, or a code for my next meal. They turned down a request for a refund despite not providing the goods. It seems not only is the cost of living crises causing them to increase proces but also not to provide what yiu have paid for!

My 2 children forced me in here, they love it but objectively, the food is no longer fast, instead having a Argos style ticket system which seems to have no logic behind it, the giant ordering screens are good but claims it has table service (but didn't have any of the particular markers to do this). I mean, it's McDonald's so you know what you're getting, it's noisy and full of people that like eating McDonalds as much as my children do. You're not going in expecting a high level dining experience so this is a fine case of you getting what you pay for (and definitely not what the photos look like suggesting what you will be getting). My kids like it, I don't.

Comfy seats. We get up early and have a long bus journey to get to our favourite Mcdonald

Lots of balloons and soft toy good food a happy meal and milk shake lots of friends and buses to get there a treat for my grand child .

After a long wait with loads of others that came in after me being given there food my order arrived and it was the wrong items.. by the time I did get all my items hald the order was cold....

I have not been to a McDonalds for 15 yrs, due to poor quality and food poisoning last time I went. I now have grandchildren that wanted to go so I reluctantly relented. What a shambles! Long queues and screens that I could not operate! Who knew that you needed a PHD in computer science just to order some food! On completing the order, we spent over ½hr sitting at table in a packed area with others who also had no food. When it eventually arrived, the food was cold and no hot drinks! The food was returned, and drinks refunded. The food reheated and then tasted of cardboard! The wrapping tasted better! A disgrace. The staff had no leadership, and the manager was completely out of his depth. The other customers were so disgruntled that the atmosphere became highly charged and unpleasant. I ended up after having a very pleasant day out with my grandchildren, having disappointed and upset kids. I will not return at any cost!

Tend to pop in once a month on the way back from somwhere and frustratingly not had milkshakes available here for as long as I can remember! Long drive though que and most of the car park coned off on the last 3 visits so no where to park either. Full of customers shouting and swearing. Not a great atmosphere.

This is the worst franchise of McDonalds I have been to in the world ever. The staff are rude starting with the drive through. I waited for three cars to go through in the other lane and kept being told to wait. 10 minutes later (bear in mind its a fast food drive through) I ordered four milkshakes for my first children. "Were not serving milkshakes" has become a regular excuse. In fact, four of the last five times have not had milkshakes, which is either sheer incompetence on the management's behalf or the fact that neither the staff or franchise owners don't care about their customers. Everytime I bring it up, I am then ridiculed. Laughter, yes I know were rubbish hahaha (in sarcastic voice). Needless to say good job I wasn't in a bad mood or I would have driven round exited the car, pulled the fat spotty boy out through the drive through window and taught him some respect with the back of my hand, in front of my children. My suggestion is don't bother visiting this McDonalds, avoid it like the plague. They should permanently remove milkshakes from the menu. The fries are cold and burgers just a disgusting mess. Either visit a proper McDonalds at Holmbush or go to Pit & Pal in Shoreham where they male proper burgers.

i came for a happy meal with my father and the food came 10 minutes after ordering and after that, we eventually received the food. The food was slightly cold and after drinking the milkshake, we noticed the flavour was banana instead of strawberry.

Do not use thus McDonald's, staff Rude, unhelpful and many items mostly missing. Will not go here again, its the 3rd time thus has happened. I gave benefit if doubt, but no doubt.

I placed a order on Uber eats, fries were cold as per, drinks never have any ice in them, not sure why this store always forgets to put in the dips that I’ve asked for? Especially when they come with the meal.

I really like this branch. Tables are always clean, staff are always friendly and especially kind to young children. Good coffee, hot meals, good covid practices. I want to particularly thank Maria for going above and beyond what I expected. It’s a shame, I think only people with a gripe usually leave reviews, understandable, but it can give unbalanced bad impression.

Absolutely shocked. I feel so sad for the young enthusiastic team (who are amazing) here because they are led by utterly AWFUL management and I hope that this leadership is not going to dampen their enthusiasm and customer service skills. All I can say as a food hygiene professional for 25 years is, check your food before you leave for dried out inedible food which has been held at hot holding temperature far too long. Be aware

This place is so racist when getting delivery to pick up they will only prioritise the white driver while us we have to go up and ask for the food to be prepared

Such wonderful friendly staff and really impressively organised with Covid requirements! The person looking after the queue today was particularly exceptional - I think I spotted their name was Dan. So attentative and helpful with all the customers that came in organising them to ensure everyone was safe and was so switched on and engaged with everyone they spoke too - very impressive and something I can't say I've ever really noticed from a McDonald's before! Amazing 9

Last time we got a take away from here food was missing and I ended up with no dinner that evening!!!! As compensation they gave me a code for 2 free meals... sent my son today with the code and guess what.. they wouldn’t let him use it DESPITE it being on their computer system, each branch has their own computer system so there is no way it could have been from another branch yet they wouldn’t let him use it!!!! Rang to complain to the manager who was incredibly unhelpful as always!!!! If you want McDonald’s go the the other branch in shoreham with the drive thru never had an issue there!!!

This is a critique of the McDonald's menu in general not the Shoreham branch, but I was in there for breakfast and there is no vegetarian option at all! I was surprised.The only things to eat are the sides like hash browns, and pancakes.I had 4 hash browns which was ok but not good enough. There wasn't even any sauce offered with it.The coffee tasted weak (I had a large white coffee). The only good thing it was cheap.

Impressed by all the Covid safe practices in place. Table service was excellent, as was prepay kiosks that we’re all cleaned after each use. Yummy breakfast as always

Do not order from mcdonalds we waited over 2 hours for our deliveryWe get told an independent driver picked it up so it was cancelled and nothing to do with them. I now have a hungry upset child who really wanted the slop they call a burger. Sadly after speaking to friends and family it has happened to some of them. Awful service do not recommend for families. Im still dealing with an emotional child.

As you would expect from a fast food restaurant, the food arrived quickly, and was very tasty. The coffee and tea were of a good standard. Beats the PremierInn at Worthing hands down for their breakfast. A manager made frequent trips around the restaurant making sure everything was ok for customers. Would eat here again.

I have reviewed this McDonalds before just after it swapped over to the new self serve machines. I found the service very slow and put some of this down to teething problems with the staff and new system. It has been in for sometime now and things are just as bad if not worse. The floor and tables are filthy to the extent that I put paper down for my kids to eat off of as I didn't want them eating food off of the tables. My kids being young wanted to play on the computers /pads that they have but out of the 8 they are meant to have 3 were missing, 2 were broken and not working. When we arrived there were 4 people in front of us (so not excessive) and it still took nearly 15 minutes to get our food. I think fast food is now a thing of the past.

Went to Macdonald's near the Shoreham railway crossing as it was late and we needed to eat after going all day since breakfast without food, it was close and convenient. New décor since we went in about a year ago. We don't frequent Macdonald's but handy in a hurry and quick. The new help yourself system doesn't work properly. My husband tried to order a large meal with large drink and large fries, but it kept telling him to change he's order. I ordered mine which was a standard meal, paid for it but no print out. We eventually had to order at the counter for my husband's. We did not realise we could do this still as we thought these new machines and order processing was the way it was done now for everything. The restaurant was half empty at 20.30 on a Saturday. The restaurant was littered, dirty and a complete mess. The staff seemed to be just standing around chatting and not clearing up. The bins inside and outside were overflowing, meaning outside the rubbish would get blown away into the carpark and adjoining streets. There was food on the floor. Dirty tables and rubbish left on tables. All I can say is, don't go here!! We won't be, EVER!!! Just sorry I didn't take more pictures to name a few shame

Why oh why do I keep coming back? Drive through no good as I ALWAYS have to park up, except that there's nowhere to park. If you do manage to stop anywhere they keep you waiting for ages then hand you cold food.

Always a fight here to get the chips down your neck before they go cold. I’ve been in many a McDonalds and despite wolfing down my chips, on opening my burger it was anything but hot and looked stale, with a token dab of ketchup. Also, colourblind and fed back previously no labelling at the sauce pumps. Told by disinterested shift manager on that occasion they’ve “only ever had ketchup in them here” - as though I’m meant to be psychic and not expect either of them to contain BBQ sauce. Now left waiting an inordinate amount of time for replacement but at least the girl has been lovely - a sharp contrast to the completely rude and unprofessional shift manager on my last visit who told me “I’m not a manager, just a shift manager” before staring, better yet: “it’s not in my remit” when asked to forward my concern to the franchisee; who she was quick enough to blame for their absence of any labels at the sauce pumps. I’ve no idea what customer training that member of staff had, but frankly she shouldn’t be in any sort of customer facing role. After two consecutive bad visits in the space of three weeks, I won’t bother coming here again.

McDonald's have put in the new self serve machines which only allow you to pay by card or you need to wait to order only one person taking orders and backlog of orders totalling 26 with ques filling most of the floor area. When we got our drinks they were cold and happy meals didn't have toys in. Too many people waiting to go back and complain. Next time will go to shoreham town and use drive thru. Nightmare changes not as good a system as previously.

Great for a quick cuppa and apple pie, but also now all Macdonalds have an "ask me" service, I can get a fillet of fish meal in a chicken legend bun - it has so much more flavour then the bland white ones!

Often stop and have a coffee or a burger. Restaurant is nicely kept compared to some branches elsewhere.

I have never met anyone so rude as I do the staff at this McDonald's! on my way home decided to stop in and grab a bite to it! that turned into me feeling belittled, and I felt very patronised by a staff member! manners don't cost anything! Re training perhaps or new staff!

Muy agradecido de haber encontrado este lugar en un largo viaje de regreso a casa.Vimos el amarillo M y fuimos todo el aparcamiento durante 5 minutos buscando el restaurante. No es claro que la gente no es mcdonalds dentro del edificio, junto a Tesco. El guardia de seguridad de supermercado me miraban como si estuviera loco cuando le pregunté donde el McDonalds era. No es claro.Finalmente encontramos, ordenados en el mostrador y encontramos un amable personal. Los alimentos entregados realmente rápido y no fue difícil encontrar una mesa limpia vacía. Otro miembro del personal también aclaró nuestra mesa mientras terminamos nuestras bebidas. Impresionante!

Can get very busy as between Tesco & Marks and Spencer. Good standard menu as all Mcdonald's. Good for a snack while shopping.

Could do with a good clean greasy hands everywhere all sticky - need staff to keep on top of rubbish and deep cleaning tables etc. Makes it far more appealing to eat at a fast food restaurant.....food was what was expected.

Perhaps it's the electronic ordering boards which have reduced the workload on the staff and allowed them to concentrate more on the food, but this place does seem to have improved recently. Standard McDonald's food and drinks of course, but well executed and fresh tasting.

Find it very good here, now. Especially if your disabled, as they offer table service now. You type your order on a machine. Put what zone your sitting in. And they bring your food too you. Lovely Cheese Quarter Pounder. And Nuggets for Mum. With Sweet Curry Sauce. Very impressed.

Why queue once when you can queue twice? Order and pay; then get your meal? Yes? Sadly, no. I'm a massive fan of progress, but this is a backwards step. Once you've ordered, which you can do at a touch screen terminal, you're then in the same queue as everyone else. Join the melee of hungry people staring expectantly at a screen, waiting for their number to come up. I used to pride myself on being able to spot the shortest queue; avoiding the large family in front with the awkward order. Now there's no avoiding them. Some may argue it's fairer, I hated it.

It's noisy (more than usual), a bit messy whenever I've been, and as it is situated in an atrium between M&amp;S and Tesco, there is not much atmosphere.

I am fully aware what McDees is about and I know it's not fine dining however this double cheese burger was buy far the driest thing on the planet I opened the burger to take out the gurkins to be greeted by a micro amount of chopped onions and tomato sauce that was more like a paste I took on bite and chucked it out the window (in a bin)

Joined the drive through and order was taken . After waiting several minutes whilst the pay person just chatted to the driver in front of me I was then given an order I hadn't ordered . It was only when I was several miles down the road that this was discovered and then too late !

the usual greasy saturated muck. Dished up in a plolystyrene box. After 10 mins of eating you wished you hadnt biought it and never will buy again until the next time your hungary. Clean but never again

If you want a quick bite to eat it's the place to go .you know what you are getting and what to expect.Certainly not somewhere to go for a special occasion .Food was of the McDonalds standard and was nice and hot.the one at shoreham seems clean enough better than Worthing .

Ok it's McDonald's. But without a whole load of the most interesting items on the menu, like the Big Tasty for example. And it's all just a bit slapdash, from production to service. Please throw my burger together with a bit more panache in future. Or just care a little.
