Mcdonald's Restaurants in Manchester

Just awful. Cold fries, cold and dry burgers. Had to tell the server to actually give me the whole portion of fries I had paid for when she tried to take away the large number that had fallen onto the tray and put them in the bin. Visited this one because Sandbrook Park McDonalds in Rochdale has repeatedly proved itself to be so awful we’ve given up on it. Sadly, it looks like Elk Mill is no better.

Sadly, this is by far, the worst McDonald's I have ever visited. I'm really not the type of person to ever post a bad review but I have had so many bad experiences here. I have been parked 45 minutes to 1 hour numerous times - then I've gone inside to tell staff, only to be ignored. I have had to remind staff over and over that I'm waiting to receive food - sometimes they don't even have my order on receipt after I have paid. I have had incorrect orders, cold food, rude unresponsive staff. They seem to have a very quick staff turnaround to as I never see the same staff member twice. As a local, I recommend you go to the Broadway McDonald's a few minutes away and not risk it, it just isn't worth your time. It's clear the building is now driven solely by Deliveroo drivers who take priority, any other visitor is treated like a second-class citizen. This used to be my regular fast food restaurant with friendly staff and fast food turnarounds, but over the last 4 years it has gone downhill. I have complained to McDonald's HQ too many times now.

If you decide to sit in expect a 10 yo 15 minute wait for food to arrive as there is only one member of staff serving at the till

Received black rotting lettuce. So annoyed, that tried to contact customer services. Website asks me for 3 number code to identify resistant. I ordered through app and there isn't one. I then tried to use locate restaurant on their site, but map wouldn't move off North America. Tried manually finding it on the map, but there were no McDonald's showing in Manchester. Last time I go McDonald's for a very long time. Disgusted.

This was the only place open after several hours waiting at A&E. Have been here many times in the past and both food and staff have been great. However, this was not the case in the early hours of the morning though - hardly any customers at 4am, so no excuse. Fish fillets were cold and hard, as were the fries. Hot chocolate had a very watery consistency and had an odd rubber/chemical smell to it. Went back through the Drive Thru to let staff know- so-called manager came to the window and immediately became very rude and defensive. Told us it 'wasn't [her] fault that the hot chocolate machine was 'on and off'. She also said we requested the fish fillets to be freshly made and piping hot and that is why they were so oily (again made it seem like we were at fault). The oil was seeping into the cardboard box. Then she told us she was too cold to stand there dealing with this and promptly shut the window in our faces, mouthing off at us and throwing angry looks in our direction. She refused to engage with us after that and sat on the floor inside so we couldn't see her. Extremely odd and unprofessional behaviour from a supposed manager! She should not be in this role at all! We were calm and polite the whole time - from placing the order to letting staff know about the quality of the food we received. There was no need for her to behave this way.

Wow I came for late night food , food was cold and burger very stiff , friendly staff but not worth ordering from this drive through venue. Won't be back in an hurry.!! Plus ordered a large got a very small portion of fries and not warm either. Mc chicken burger also cold ad very dry.

Appalling rude staff laughing and walking off when you make a complaint sniggering telling other staff to ignore you. Can’t put 20 nuggets in a bag if they’re out of boxes but can offer you 6/9 at a more expensive cost. They serve Coca-Cola that is not Coca-Cola to make profit! God knows what cola it is but trust me it isn’t Coca-Cola some sort of cheap cola or diet, been getting away with it for nearly a year, same argument every time. No milkshakes or ice creams regularly. I will never go back there again disgusting!

Can’t get a McFlurry right let alone anything else every time I’ve been recently there has been nothing but issues avoid it like the plague

This place is terrible can’t even get a order right. We ordered literally a small order and they still couldn’t get it right. I highly recommend you do not go unless you want to be waiting ages and getting your orders mixed up.

Absolutely ridiculous. A whole 45 minutes waiting for a single meal. Two customers in the entire store at the time. No apology from the staff, no explanation. It did not appear like they had a clue at all. Could have made my own in this time.

Worst double cheeseburger ever . Luke warm and tasting like it was made the day before . Fries cold . This restaurant has gone downhill. The menu screens filthy and not working . A crowd of customers crowding around waiting for their orders . Since the advent of the takeaway trade this restaurant has gone downhill. Won't be going again .

Waited 5 minutes to give order, then 20 minutes for our order to be got ready. Screen above hatch not working so no order numbers shown so had to stand there and wait, Chips cold, burger lukewarm. While waiting one man returned his burger as it was cold. Gents toilet floor dirty, both handwash sinks dirty. All in all, poor service, poor food, poor facilities. Priority seemed to have been given to the drive through and delivery drivers.

Food cold as seems to be the standard for this restaurant whenever delivery option is selected, big mac looked as appetising as a pile of dirty socks. How this restaurant is still open god knows.

We came in to order a breakfast takeaway, the order was placed at 8.05 and we walked out of the restaurant at 8.26 with order. Over 20 minutes to wait for food. Then when we finally received the order it was cold. Definitely gone down hill - do better!

Whoever has design the new layout inside the building needs there head checking what a joke it is ohh and whoever OK it as well

This is the worst McDonald’s, but we decided to give it a try again after the recent refurb - big mistake. The fries are always floppy, undercooked & cold, the last burger I had looked like it had been dropped on the floor, stood on a few times then put in the bun. The milkshake/Mcflurries are always unavailable along with other items. You always have to park even if you’re ordering a single item. The ‘management’ literally couldn’t care less & are so rude & arrogant. They clearly cannot cope with the volume of custom. Ditch the deliveries & learn how to cook the food you sell.

I recommend that nobody orders from this mcdonald's via just eat made an order this evening says on website that order was delivered but it was certainly not money has gone out of my account with nothing to show for it tried phoning over 20 times but nobody answering so frustrating amounts to theft

Very dissatisfied. Worst McDonald’s I have ever had. To start with the machine wasn’t working had to enter my order three times in the end. Which then caused me to submit my order wrong through rushing. Then out of politeness I let one of the staff know the first machine I entered my order on twice wasn’t working for him to reply after pressing a few buttons looks likes it’s working to me in a snoty manner. (The error was with the card machine so he wouldn’t see the error at that time) Then our food came all out 4 sets of chips were cold, the drinks were flat, the state of the burger was a thrown together burger which was extremely dry and the cheese wasn’t even in the burger (half on half off) Shame as we like to visit this one on occasions. Will define be thinking before ever coming back again.

The service is getting slower and slower , it’s the staff moving slow not the machines, you need to improve morale and get more staff before you get shut down by the lack of customers.

Every time my husband and I visit there are never any milkshakes or mcflurrys.We visited today as my husband has a sore throat and your milkshakes seem to help him get rid of it.Again there were none and we ended up having to go to the Oldham town centre branch.You should not advertise items that you ever sell.

The food is often cold, or stale. The staff are not very helpful. They clean the milkshake machine early and tell you that they have run out a couple of hour before it closes.

McDonald’s food is the same as every McDonald but the place needs a clean more often. My children are 4&6 years old and they ALWAYS need to use the ladies. Every time we go they are never clean. Me and my daughter wanted breakfast we got there at 10:18am the usual breakfast time is 10:15am and they wouldn’t serve us even though they prepare the food before Your there. So where is all that left over food going? In the bin which is disgusting throwing away perfectly good food also the service there in the morning at around 8am is awful. Ordered a meal with uber eats, nearly 10 minutes late which is not a massive deal but my food was really cold, one of my bags wasn't even sealed, my sprite was just soda water and to top it off when I rung McDonald's they said I had to complain to uber eats, which I did, but u don't get an immediate response so now I am left with no tea before work and still no response from anyone, absolute joke!!!

Every time we visit the drive through we have to wait for our food. If the store is busy inside, we wait. If the store is nearly empty we wait. The waiting area is downright dangerous as cars whiz past as you are trying to reverse out once your food finally arrives. You always have to ask for sauces and the last 2 times we have visited some of our order has not been available. Would visit the one further down the road on Broadway, but the food there is served cold and the fries are soggy most of the time. We visit at our grandchildren's request but even they are fed up with the service, the quality and the waiting around. Think it's time to ditch the fast food as a treat and

The food and service is exactly what you expect. Decent. The only downside is that the people they are hiring look uninterested in serving customers. Also saw this new guy going into the back room . Like what's he doing there and not serving customers. Pointless. But overall good for a meal

If you like waiting for a long time. This is the place for you. Been here 6 times this year, order either wrong or cold, had enough. Had to write a review. My cup of tea was even cold this morning, that’s never happened in the 25 years visiting McDONALD’S restaurants. Arrrrgh.

Nice little extra from elk mill Mcdonalds, already contacted Mcdonalds customer services, received an email from Hisham Omar which was supposed to have an attachment for return postage and also contact details, it had neither. Emailed 3 times for the correct info got absolutely know where. i know Mcdonalds isn't fine dining but come on, I don't need a side of pubic hair with my bagel. Still awaiting a reply.

I know they may be busy at times but every single time I visit this particular branch whatever time morning, afternoon and evening I use the drive_thru which on this occasion was only myself using not one other car in front, drove to order put my order in drove round to pay then to the last window to receive my food...2 cheeseburger happy meals and like every visit she passed the drinks and apologises but could we park in the grill bay to wait for our order...im not blaming the girl she was very polite and lovely but to have to go park up and wait for 2 happy meals? It's not a massive order or is it complicated...but it's every time I go here they seem to be behind...i work in retail so I know it's not necessarily the staffs fault it could be just down to staff shortages etc but if it's something like that then they need to put more staff on I'm not exaggerating when I say it's every visit because it is so either there's somebody who needs to speed up, get more staff or somebody is incompetent it's not good enough plus as I pulled upto the window the girl was stressing about another member of staff with the impression she gave and slammed the order ticket on the side saying "is she stupid" so something or somebody needs a "how I'm doing" session with their line manager to get better at their job they are letting the team down by the sounds of it...i could be way off but whatever it is they need to speed up!

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch. It was busy but clean. I'm not sure about the new ordering system making it any quicker. The food was fine. Is what you would expect. Did the job.

Creio que é uma ótima opção para um lanche rápido para quem tem pressa em conhecer mais locais no menor tempo possível e ainda economizar uma grana. A comida estava bem preparada, inclusive com as rodelas de pepino separadas uma da outra, espalhando melhor o sabor ao longo do sanduíche.

as with all McDonald restaurants the standards were high, very clean, quick and efficient service, helpful staff, good parking, good location.
