After a long stressful day, we decided to have a quick stop off at maccies to grab something to eat, we was greated with a warm welcome by Angela, our original plan was to takeaway but because of our greeting we decided to sit in. She was Absolutely amazing and a great asset to the team ❤️. Thank you Angela , you was amazing x

Called in here after a lengthy journey down from Edinburgh to arrive bang on school out time. Horrendous queues for the drive through and the small car park was far too busy to park up to go in. Sat it out for the drive through and just watched bedlam around me. Usual convenience food that you always regret buying. I’ll drive by next time.

We ate lunch here and I have to say the wait for it was long...they didn't have a chicken burger ready so the rest of the order was filled and placed under a heat lamp...it was stone cold! Even the coffees had cooled off in the time we were waiting for a chicken burger!

Ordered a Breakfast from here using the Drive-Thru facilities, before our long journey back home. No issues with the order or the service - everything was as it should have been. Decent value for money although the pricing is slowly creeping up.

A Legend from the town over according to my wife called inconspicuous Benny was found in the bathroom with a McDonald’s wrap goin up through his intestines, scran was fine as well but wouldn’t touch the chicken selects (apparently the Down syndrome guy is in charge of those). Apart from that and the milkshake machine mayo instead of ice cream the scran ain’t bad and the chocolate milkshake was bitter. Although the cheese wasn’t melted I would go back again.

my entire order was wrong and took more than 20 minutes for them to give me it. the burger wasn’t plain as i selected. got the new galaxy caramel latte and managed to get it wrong which it was just coffee . chips were stale. more than 3 members of staff watched me stand and wait at the counter to pay and took about 5 minutes for them to decide it was time to serve me. watched them make my order wrong once and managed to get it wrong the second time

I remember hearing that the original McDonalds could get you a fresh burger from grille to mouth in around 30 seconds … yet this Branch often fails to do it in 15 mins, a few times we have been the only people in the drive through and waited for ages, they also seem to never have what we want, be it the ice drinks machine is broken, the main advertising boards show the main burgers which are often unavailable and despite there being what must be 10 plus staff inside it is always really slow service, the food is not bad but occasionally the chips are cold by the time they give you them.

AGAIN NO MILK SHAKES ALSO NO FLURRY THAT WOULD HAVE LIKED. IT IS QUITE OFTEN THEY DONT HAVE STUFF. COULD THEY NOT ORDER MORE. ONE TIME MY BURGER HAD OBVIOUSLY BEEN DROPPED THEN PICKED UP AND PUT BACK ON THE TOP OF MY BUN. POOR IS THERE NOT A MANAGER THERE CHECKING THINGS ?

a typical McDonald's...the food was okay. My husband had a chicken wrap which he said was good, I had a cheeseburger happy meal and we shared the fries. Good thing about McDonald's is its quick service when you're on the road on a long journey!

Walked up the fifteen minutes from our hotel in Berwick town centre to McDonalds on the outskirts - upon entering myself and my wife were promptly refused service on the grounds that the restaurant was drive-through only. It was 10pm by this point, however we had looked at Google before setting off and were assured that the restaurant and lobby were open 24 hours. Our polite protests fell on brisquely deaf ears. We simply walked to the KFC next door where we were served promptly and with a smile. Avoid this McDonalds and try the nearby KFC instead.

Rubbish! They had no milkshakes again! How can McDonald’s have no milkshakes?!? Fed up! All we wanted was a nice milkshake!

I've tasted quite a lot of burgers recently, so I felt I had to re-assess the Big Mac, and... it was ok. Food designed by committee. What you taste is the dressing, and it's really nice - gerkins, tangy sauce, cheese, onions. But.. the beef (once you extract a piece of it to taste in isolation) is dry, warmed up and tastes of nothing but pepper. It's no wonder the McPlant tastes so similar when it doesn't have to replicate the flavour of beef. But you've for something for about £4 that, overall, tastes quite nice so 3/5. The fries are a non-entity though, just salty sticks of reformed mash that you munch through without a single thought. As for this McDonalds - it's fine, just like all the others. I've never had poor service, all food has been just like the food from other McDonalds.

cold fries, cold burger and to add insult to injury no napkin supplied from the drive thru. infuriating to say the least.

Had family staying so put a large order in to collect at drive thru The only thing that was correct were the fries.We had kids with dietary requirements so burgers were modified on order ,we received usual burgers with everything on them Vegetable burger was meant to be double with no garnishes etc ,we we received single with everything on if Diet coke was ordinary coke A coffee and tea were 2 coffees Would have taken back but was driving family home

Visit here regularly as shop in the nearby supermarkets. Staff always friendly, offering to put rubbish away and saying goodbye on exit. Good always served fast even though it’s always busy. Only thing I’d like to see improve is the availability of extra salt and sauce - the dispenser is always empty!

Disgusted in staff behaviour when order was cold and some of the orders missing. No recipt given .. refused to rectify order .. and RAT activity on drive through Stay clear worst ever service and food

I couldn’t park in the disable bays as they were all taken up by none disabled customers staff do not know how to treat disabled customers correctly or politely order incomplete was not aware until I got home too much horseplay in the cashiers and other booths . Appalling service very long wait to be served . Very poor attitude to this disabled customer won’t be going back

This has to be one of the worst run and managed McDonalds in the UK when ever I go they never have any McFlurries and never have any Milkshakes and have never been able to purchase any fish either. They are either making to much money and don't need to worry about on sales. Maybe need to look at Manager's passion and ability to assess situation on a scorching hot day by the seaside you can't get a McFlurrie to cool you down.

Drive through busy but managed to order without fuss. We ordered 2 chilli chicken wraps, 2 orange juices and 2 medium fries for £9.18 so good value. We ate in the car park as was on our way to Scotland, seemed nice and tasty and filled my hunger up.

The worst customer service i has ever seen in any mcdonalds i be in the staff is right not the customer who made the order. Staff to busy talking to each other and trying to sing Christmas music.

I waited an hour in the drive through to get 2 things. Finally got them and they had given me the wrong thing!

My family member had a chicken meal from here on monday the 8th november and has been nowhere else too eat he was admitted too hospital after four day of extreme pain and sickness even though we cant prove it the only place he eat before being violetly ill was here so be sure when u get s meal its properly cooked and served at the controlled temprature at right temperature

Was stuck waiting in the drive thru for 45mins until we got our food. No idea why it took so long as it was not busy inside when I went for the toilet. Could see loads of staff but not all helping out. There was only one girl packing food for the drive thru and what seemed to be 2 members of management behind her not doing anything to help clear the drive thru backlog. Felt I needed to leave this review to alert others not to waste their time and avoid at all costs!

Went for a chicken nuggets and chips with my grandson and I which were so stale ...sometimes we go there and everything is fresh but that day the meal was awful ...they need to change the food every 15 mins instead of it going stale and limp.

Been on holiday and I don’t believe what happened when I was here. I ordered a McDonald’s menu and of course, they got ours kid fruit shoot messed up and a water came instead, when they read out the order it also said fruit shoot. When the woman gave us our fruit shoot (drive thru) she said make sure u don’t mess up ur order again in an annoyed state. If I was the manager I would FIRE that worker. Only 1 ordering matching was on, 1 hour in queue and my child’s nuggets, 5 came and we ordered 9. What a real disappointment

Waited over an hour in the drive thru. When I received my plain kids hamburger it had cheese on. So my child couldn’t eat her lunch. No point going back and waiting another hour for problem to be resolved

Came to McDonald’s and received excellent service. Food was Pipping hot which is always good. Received the best service I’ve ever had from staff member named Andrea Jeffery on dinner area couldn’t ask for better service thank you Andrea we will certainly be back.

Approach is like a crime scene, full of cones and red and white tape. Would frighten children, it alarmed me! Looks dangerous.Immediately in door, accosted and asked about a mask, I'm exempt, do not think, as a grown adult, I should be asked this question by customer service staff. It is not their place to ask. There are exemptions, and staff should assume an exemption is being exercised.Was then ordered to use sanitiser, then ordered to use the ordering screen!Had to ask for a number, they weren't available. Most of the restaurant cordoned off. Staff all walking about in masks. Felt like I was in an episode of Casualty with an accident/crime scene at the front door.This is not McDonalds, the fun place I used to take my kids. Really not sure why we're bothering to open restaurants at all if this is what it's going to be like.The food was nice - hot and fresh - but it's also about relaxing.

I try not to eat at fast food restaurants & I certainly don’t normally review them, but my experience at this McDonald seriously exceeded my expectations. Spotless clean, friendly & very helpful staff & quick service. A cut above.

First I very much enjoyed my 1millionth visit here 🍔 burgers:great but very thin. 🍰desserts:amazing doughnuts,cookies & muffins at top level. 🥤drinks:great if cold drink I would recommend no ice because it takes up all of the cups room. Will return!!!!!!!🎉🏆😀

We stayed at the Travelodge in Berwick which is right next to it. As Travelodge do not have a restaurant we decided to give McDonald,s a try. We are a retired couple who have not used McDonald,s for years. We were pleasantly surprised good wholesome food, excellent quick service, very clean and modern building. We had a breakfast and teatime meal and couldn’t fault it.

Last 2 times I have called in here for McFlurries I have been told the machines aren't working because the weather is so hot! How come the wee van in the car park can produce ice cream no bother in the hot weather and you can't?

Stopped over here for quick snack on way home. Up to usual standard with good chIcken select and chips.

Staff extremely pleasant and hard working,constantly clearing tables and cleaning floors..Food standard for this chain but can’t be beaten when on a long drive ( York to Perth ) and needing a speedy very early or late meal..Toilets were spotless

Place empty when we arrived, and not a single clean table! Food standard McDonalds fare, although chips had to be exchanged twice before we got hot ones. Loos obviously not been checked for several hours...….

What can I say it's just a regular Mcdonalds. Was busy, staff provided a decent service. Nothing exceptional here.

Called in whilst staying at neighbouring Travelodge. I ordered a chicken select meal and asked the young man at the till which drinks were included. He told me all drinks were included .When I came to pay he charged about 70 p MORE than the price list. His explanation for the discrepency was that there was tax on top of the price list. When I asked to speak to the manager he eventually came to the counter and said the reason for the extra charge was that only water or fruit drink are included in meal prices. That is news to me. I suggested he should tell his staff this.. His reply was to the effect that he could not supervise all his staff. I pointed out that TRAiNING STAFF would be the best policy before they were let loose on customers.. I was shocked at how standards at Mcdonalds franchises seem to have fallen if this store is typical.

A normal mcdonald’s on a road trip to livingston . I had 3 chicken selects which were nice but not good quality meat the cleaning was poor and the tablets looked like they had never been cleaned in their lifetime . The electronic ordering system was good but as unresponsive as ever.

Went through the drive through, I said I want a plain double cheeseburger but with onions, I then asked if she could add bacon and lettuce to it as well, only reason I said plain is because besides onions you don’t get the rest of it on the burger, she then asks if I want pickles, I say no, then do I want ketchup, said no, then asked if I want mustard, I said no. Go to pay for it and she complains to me saying “hate when people say they want a plain burger then ask for other stuff on it”, ignored her negative comment.

Being a disabled person I do get annoyed at those seemingly fit people who park as a matter of course in disabled bays Berwick Donald’s is no different from any other MacDonald’s in my experience the bays are not respected by the local youth or so it seems if one challenges this all one gets is abuse . As for the service it’s ok but the food can be cold . We’re staying in Berwick for the week so go their each day for some meal or other . Just a shame when one complains about the disabled parking that they aren’t as keen on helping as when they want to take your order .

Came here with my partner and kids. Every burger ordered was wrong despite the right description on the tickets. The chips were cold. And not only that I waited 15 mins for the food to come after being ordered. Not very "fast" yet staff could stand having conversations. Having worked on mcdobalds myself before cooking food fresh doesn't even take that long let alone getting in cold and my manager wouldn't stand for service so shocking either. Very disappointed Berwick!

Down here on holiday in July, the drive through is the slowest service and wait I’ve ever experienced at a Mcdonalds and did not appear to be busy. Same again down on holiday again in September, I don’t think it is a coincidence every time, the service is beyond slow. 30min+ wait at drive through each time. There doesn’t seem to be a system that is working at all. Arrived at window where half orders were lying but still waiting on the rest. This was same wait and going in for food also.

A clean McDonalds, fast service, friendly staff, very modern toilets. The one let down on the place was the dirty mop the staff were cleaning the floor with.

On the date of my visit the restaurant was closed at 2200. Not exactly 24hour normally stop here driving south in the truck but was closed with no reason why on the date of my last visit

Conveniently placed by a big supermarket and the A1, this is a good Mcdonald's. Plenty for children to do, good seating and very welcoming and caring staff. Coffee and ice creams enjoyable. Recommended.

We only used this McDonald’s as we were staying next door at the Travelodge. We noticed it seemed to be busy most of the time. We only eat in once. Too many teenagers just sitting around sharing a few chips and their language wasn’t good, The food was hot when it arrived, but sold out of hot chocolate. The Coffee very strong/ bitter even with 3 sugars. There was only one girl cleaning tables, she was also helping people with their ordering. We noticed when walking back to the Travelodge there was a lot of litter around the car park hedges/bushes. Why don’t people use the outside bins provide when they have finished eating in their cars/vans.

We were on the long journey from Gairloch to Durham and had been delayed by snow, fog, terrential rain and other bad weather. By about 10:00 we were crawling up the wall and then this McDonalds came into view. A quick check on TA showed that it's been getting poor reviews and we nearly drove on, but grumbling stomachs won!

Me and my husband came from work for tea is was 18.05 it was busy but not full what a mess every where there were 2 ladies who I think should have cleaning and tidying up but not doing anything we sat at table in corner near toilets there was tomato sauce everywhere floor table & seats which ended up on my husband's jeans I told the told ladies who were not interested floor needed sweeping everywhere think these people need to be show how to clean and keep clean

A useful stop off on a long and regular journey however since it has been refurbished the place has gone down hill drastically .... ok it's McDonalds you know what you're getting before you even get there it's not Michelin star food or service....but half an hour sat in a drive thru queue with 15 other cars for barely warm soggy fries and part of the order wrong.....come on guys it's not hard. Food wasn't fresh so we weren't waiting due to food not being ready, the food we got had clearly been sat for a while before being served so if it wasn't that what can cause such a hold up??

First of all they messed up my order. I then had to pay an extra £1 for their mistake. Then once I had my food the chips were cold. I probably won't be visiting there again

The only restaurant within walking distance of adjacent Travelodge and beyond the unpleasant customers when we went in there were no salad options available, as all were listed as unavailable on the menu. Beyond that not much else to add.

Went in about 2ish on Saturday afternoon as a family, waited for about 15mins for order (that's not fast food), when the food did eventually arrive the chips were cold so had to be returned. We ate the burgers although they were not as hot as could be either, by the time the re-heated chips came back we were more than half way through our burgers. The place has had a facelift, which is very nice, but the new layout does nothing to shield any customers from the howling gale that comes in every time the doors open. This used to be one of the cleanest McDonalds, but not on Saturday, the floor looked it hadn't been swept all day, tables all needed a good clean. Come on McDonalds pull your socks up!!!

Just been to the new refurbished Berwick upon tweed McDonald's, for a double cheese burger, large fries, iced lemonade and a mcflurry, hardly a big order, 25 mins later I had to ask where my meal was!!! The staff were yet to smile, millions of staff through the back and one young girl on the counter, put it back to how it was before, everything takes 3 times longer now, even the drive through takes an age, yes 2 lanes for cars going back into 1 lane so no quicker AGAIN!!! Only been twice since the opening and both times useless!!!

Food was pretty cold and the festive sandwich looked anything but festive. I'm glad I was just passing and that this was not my local. The staff seemed to enjoy working here judging by the size of them. Never seen so many obese people serving.

Staff are rude ignorent and lazy. If food isnt cold orders are wrong and waiting times are ridiculous they couldnt care less about their customers and wether they return or not, think mcdonalds need to do some more training or employ better staff AND managers as managers are as ignorent as their skivvys. Wont return to this mcdonalds ever again.

As McDonalds go, this is just bog standard. The only thing it has going for it is its location. It's very handy when travelling the A1 to and from Scotland

On holiday in area for a week and used McDonald's regularly throughout week. Found the staff to be very helpful and polite and the restaurant and toilets very clean. My partner and I used the internet freely and enjoyed the latte. Children had the occasional happy meal or mcflurry. Overall very pleased with cost and experience.

We had lunch here recently with our grandchildren. They love it and we don't really mind especially when we are with them. The food was typical McDonald's food - quick and cheap and was fit for purpose!! It's always very busy when we call in there.

What can I say.. My fist ever McDonald's breakfast.. It was horrible. You could feel the grease from the hash browns as soon as you bit into it. The sausage and egg mcmuffin was the same. Very greasy. The coffee was the best bit about the meal. It was however cheap for two people to have breakfast. Around the £8 mark. It was in a handy location as we had stayed in the travel lodge the night before. I wouldn't use for the food again but the coffee wasn't bad. The place was clean and tiny

Advertised as open 24/7 but not open. Go figure! Might be great, but if you say you are going to be open then be open.

We had good value meal here. Was nice to eat again at the Mc D.We stayed in the Travelodge which is nearby. The place could be bigger though, was quite crowded.

This was a ritual stopping point for us as a halfway point on our regular journey, over the years we've noticed the popularity of this place with the local teens who treat this place as a youth club who take up all the seats with a minimal order between them. Foul language and intimidating gestures from these yobs seems to be totally acceptable by the staff who are clearly just letting there mates 'hang out' . The local boy racers use the car park as a track, just going round in circles and throwing rubbishy out there windows and parking there cars however it suits them whilst blaring out there so called music.We made the decision that after our recent visit we shall NEVER return & sincerely hope others follow suit, DEFINTATELY not a place for a family with impresionable young children .

We all know this is a fast food restaurant and cheap, but please let the food be edible and not take 15 minutes to arrive. But then if they give my order to the carpark cleaner instead of me I guess I have to wait!

A very busy Restaurant with a large turnover.The service was fine but the food was quite inferior to the McDonald's norm.I would not use this place again.Very disappointing.

Visited this afternoon. The service was fine first of all but unfortunately found out that we had missed off one of the items. I went back and waited 10 minutes for it be be cooked. Went back later for more items. The lady next to me walked out she had given up waiting. There were plenty of staff on duty but so disorganised at this point. No wonder the lady walked out.Quite sad as this Mackies is normally quite efficient.

It was busy, plenty of staff on duty. After reading some of the previous comments if I have ever had cold chips have asked for a replacement, it's as simple as that. Very helpful when asked for additional things.I hope they don't bring in those awful touch screen ordering screens. Drive thro very busy, have never used so can't comment. It was a bit like the Forth Road Bridge trying to keep tables and floors clean.

Me and my friends go in a get food usually every Friday night as a weekly treat we get 20 minutes to eat our food after the 20 minutes is us we get kicked out, in contrast to this there is a business man sitting by himself with one cup of tea sitting at a 4 seated table by himself absolutely ridiculous berwick McDonald's has lost a lot of customers due o their restricted time scale teenagers get given

This restaurant is convenient for the Travelodge we were staying in. Average porridge and an average bagel provided a healthy start to the day, though not particularly tasty. By the way, don't be lured by the picture of fresh fruit to accompany the porridge - it's basically a jam you get. No real complaints from any of us, but no accolades either.
