Missed half of our order from our delivery, chips were really dry / inedible, curry sauce wasn't great, fish made my son ill. Won't be going back.

Going down hill never had issues with the food before but the last 3 orders I've had have been very poor, unfortunately I'll be going elsewhere where from now on

The place has a good vibe the staff are friendly fast hard working, unfortunately I ended up with food poisoning from my kebab wrap... otherwise the wrap was good...

Fish wasn't cooked the batter wasn't crispy because it wasn't cooked the chips was average will not be going there again

Serving staff are extremely miserable and rude. Didn't ask if salt and vinegar was required but was asked if "bag" was wanted. At home opened the order and the mushy peas were exactly that MUSH clearly the left overs.chips cold .total waste of money.

Avoid!! Rude abrupt staff. Chips were so hard couldn’t eat. Cheese Pattie batter couldn’t cut through it! Final straw was a very long black hair in the chips, which is definitely not ours!

I had ordered a kebab and chips with curry sauce with a delivery and wanted at a time suited for me and yes it maybe a bit late and still warm to eat, tge chicken kebab is always nice and the chips were nice as was the curry sauce, I will order from these again

The worst chips Definitely reheated. Hard and dried up. Used them twice amd both times been poor. Not very friendly Come.on you can do better than this.

Fish was hot in some spots and freezing cold in others, chips tasted very dry as if they'd been reheated from earlier in the day. Don't think I'll be ordering from here in future.

Less than 5 min away food was tepid and soggy batter & chips, seemed like frozen not fresh fish, won't be back anytime soon

Had my first and last Cod n Chips x2 from here. They say you get what you pay for ... Well a tenner per portion isn't cheap and I definitely did not get what I paid for. Dried out husks that clearly had been under the lamps for too long. Only went cos the Brockwell was closed today (Sunday). Once bitten....etc

I had decide to order my takeaway online and had chicken kebab with chips and barbecue sauce, the delivery came a bit early and the person who dropped it off very friendly, the chicken kebab was very nice, I put my barbecue sauce on my chips and didn't ate all the chips as I am not keen with black bits in the chips and the pitta bread was fine and I will get a takeaway from high pit again soon

A no 15 pound isn’t a huge amount but when it goes in bin it’s a waste absolutely shocking not worth even ordering straight in bin such a shame

Delivery was supposed to be at 6.45pm after two phone calls it arrived at 7.30pm , luke warm fish bites and chips and had to heat them up in the microwave, I paid £14 and I can say it's the worst money ever spent. Never again

Got sausage & chips twice sausage was ok but the chips tasted like they'd sat since lunchtime & reheated, wasn't asked if id like salt & vinegar, so had to put that on at home, hopefully I caught them on an off day.

Went to the shop, there was no queue but the staff still made me wait for 5 minutes before serving me. They never asked me if I wanted salt and vinegar, they just wrapped food up. This is the second time they have done this which i did not discover until I got home. Should at least ask . The food was ok but the customer service is terrible.

Ordered a pizza with BBQ base which had to pay £1 extra for got home no bbq on and very little filling …pizza was very bland …...advised Simon I was not happy but he was not interested. Won’t be back …. Gave 1 star as can’t give a zero

Just bought a large cod and chips and they turned up pretty fast but the chips we're horrible, cold and half cooked and the fish was tiny. I also ordered an extra large curry source because i know you dont get much in the small tub that you get with your meal, the curry source had spilled all over the bag so another £1.50 down the drain as well. stay away from the dump its not the same as it was.

Placed an order here the food wasnt great and because i had to wait 5 mins for my food to be cooked i seen a few things i didnt like their was a young boy who served me he was very polite he didnt deserve to be shoulder barged by this big dude and then he told a staff member very quitley he was leaving as he had enough at that point for this girl to tell another staff member for her to start telling this girl i hope your joking for her to then tell most of the staff he was leaving shouldnt do that infront of customers if you have a problem with staff pull them to the back dont have a slagging off match about a staff member infront of customers

Having bought from here before and being 100% satisfied I was very disappointed with my last purchase (just after teatime opening) Both the fish and the chips were obviously left over from lunchtime and reheated It was like eating a plate of crisps

Worst fish and chips ever, chips cold a dry, been standing for an age, fish 5mm thick dry and tasteless. Box they came in was probably a better meal than the contents

Absolutely disgusting, ordered fish and chips to be delivered with salt and vinegar. They arrived exactly 60 minutes from placing the order. The fish was warm but soggy and the chips were stone cold. What a complete waste of money. Not one bit of salt or vinegar.

Dont order online. What you order vs what arrives is not the same. Food that was eaten tasted nice. Either order by phone or inside.

Very sorry to be writing this as iv never had any reason yo complain. Last night I ordered 3cod bites small chips and garlic. Delivery driver no complaints the cod bites didn't get eaten. Reason being 50% was batter very hard to bite and 10% beinv fish tail. I honestly tried separating batter to get at fish with a fork. I'm afraid not very satisfying meal at all. Very disappointed in my meal last night This iz my first complaint hopefully if I decide yo order again it would be nice to have some fish In cod bites not tail which extremely thin. Chips and garlic nice but not very filling . Would have been nice to enjoy my whole meal rather than portion.

Called in here for 2 fish suppers as our usual chippy was closed, we were well impressed with the service, the fish was good sized and cooked to perfection and the chips were perfect too, we will be back 🙂

Been in few times i find ebony on front very bubbly and to be fare covid situation for staff like your selves is hard people think they can talk down to u 24 7 and u have to be smiling all time to all who judge there human and have hard times to so when people review or expect service now on beck and call think theys people are trying there god dam best so well done ill be in soon

Well organised, Fish & chips last night couldn't fault.

Just picked up fish and chips for our Christmas eve meal and they were superb again!

Used this for many years normally go into shop and order and get food which the services in house is brill and the staff are a good laugh. But with covid I have ordered 2 online meals and you get a estimated time of arrival they turned up 15 mins late so tonight I rang the shop to order over phone told them what I wanted and asked for it to be delivered between 18.30 and 1840. Considering I rang order in at 16.40 so they had enough time to prepare it and so forth it yet again late . When I asked the guy why he was late again as the same guy from other orders was told if I didn't like it I could collect it from shop if I wasn't happy with the service as they are busy . Surely the management dont allow there staff to speak to customers like that considering we the consumer are the ones who pays their wages totally disrespectful and rude I will be having words with the management ne t time I visit the shop and believe me they will know about it

We ordered our weekend takeaway and this place is always usually spot on. Haddock was very nice but the large chips, they could have fed a five year old. The chips are the cheapest part of our takeaway and it was terrible the amount we got. Hopefully it was just a one off.

Ordered kebab pizza, two kids chicken nuggets meals and sausage and chips. All food was luke warm and thats generous, hard to eat after waiting an hour for the food. Kids had 3 instead of the 4 chicken nuggets advertised in their meals. Only live 2 miles away and had the pleasure to pay £3 delivery charge for it all. Great thanks. If you're ordering for a delivery look elsewhere. Just shocking.

Fantastic Fish and Chips. The portions were huge, very good quality fish and the chips were well cooked. I can honestly say it’s the best chippy I have had in a long time.

Food 10/10 almost every time, chip portions = mega, friendly helpful staff. But to raise the delivery fee again and at this moment is very off-putting. We live 6 minutes away and it is now £3 for delivery which is about the highest amount going. You'll lose business doing this, you have lost mine for a start

We asked for a delivery on their website and ordered at tea time and got it within 3 hours and 30 mins, I kept updated with them through messenger and kept me updated and they were friendly, the food was lovely and my house mate decide to order to get a takeaway on Easter Saturday

Ordered for tea time Good Friday. TBH it did take longer than expected but as the only chippy delivering in the Cramlington area I suppose that's going to happen. Food was hot, great quality and the delivery driver friendly. These are tough times for everyone, thank you for still being able to service everyone

Haven't order from here in years and unbelievably disappointed with everything that came. I only ordered chips, a burger, sausages and a portion of onion rings for 2 people waited about an hour and all of it was cold, undercooked, inedible and drowned in grease. They've been using the price of the delivery fee and an almost £17 order was bumped up to £21.20 and practically all of it has went in the bin. Not gonna be ordering from here again since it was an absolute waste of money.

Kebab and chips were disgusting. Worst kebab ive ever tasted. Meat was like cardboard and chips werent like they usually are.

Order from here quite a bit and normally it’s lovely but unfortunately tonight it wasn’t, ordered a 12inch garlic bread cheese special, it took over an hour to be delivered and the garlic bread cheese was dry and the kebab meat was thick and over cooked and part inedible ..chips and sauces were as good as ever just shame about the rest feel like I’ve wasted £12

Ordered food from Just Eat, waited and waited and waited...Phoned High Pit, who said food was on it's way, even though they had told Just Eat that it was on time?Finally came 20 minutes late, food cold order wrong, won't be doing future business with this outlet in future!

Dreadful...placed an online order at 1755..received 1930. No offer of a refund, called darling, then madam, when I rang to complain. Driver eventually arrived and called saying he couldn't find our house.Out of a row of 6 it's not exactly difficult to see which of the end houses is number 1.The kebab had huge square slabs of what looked like an inner tyre or shoe soke..I am not even sure the starlings will eat it..Will never use again.

Fast service and reasonable pricing, kebab was not greasy which is always a plus

Placed an ordered for a family member. They do not accept different billing and delivery address even tho it allows this on there website. They will only tell u this once u have waited for your delivery. And they will take the money from your account. Use justeat

The chips were wrapped in the top not fresh and it was only 9.30pm cold raw and some soggy cold chips not impressed. It’s not the first time. A bowl full of green mush bah! We binned it

Always have had great service and amazing food

I visit here at least once a week and have never been disappointed. I phone my order in and get a friendly warm welcome, served with a smile. I recommend this place highly, forget the negative reviews. It's a chippy, high standards and great hygiene. Defo back next week and the next.

The young lass behind the counter was very friendly and had a lot of patients waiting on me deciding between curry sauce or gravy after it'd taken me so long to decide between smokey or cod bite anyways. Food was made to order and very good portions.

Unhappy with our local chippy so decided to travel to try this place. My husband chose fish and chips and I chose spring roll and chips. My husbands fish was like rubber and inedible, my spring roll was overcooked on the outside (the batter) but the outer casing on the spring roll was not cooked making me unable to cut it. The chips were pale, greasy and tasteless. Both meals went in the bin.

Top fish bar, really nice kebabs!! If you can handle your spice, ask for the extra chilli sauce to go with your kebab. You will not be disappointed if eating spicy things is your... Errm... Thing! Chips portion is always decent and the fish always tastes so fresh! Defo our first go to place for fish and chips and if it's closed then we don't bother going anywhere else!

Had the delivery driver come on Monday 2nd September, he was very fast with my food as I ordered it by half 6 and it got to me by 7pm in Seaton delaval.

Food not bad depending upon what you order. Although repeated myself numerous times and checked numerous times, managed to get both my wife's and my order wrong/incomplete. Will probably try again in the future but not in a great hurry to return.

Shocking service, walked into the shop and the young lad servings looked at me and ignored me.

Lovely to see an old face but the attitude of other staff not good

Waited 20 mins for 2 fish and chips. They only put one fish in(about 5 mins after I ordered) and the chips weren't fresh but had been sat there at least 25 mins. I declined to wait any longer(while the 9ther fish dried out). Fish was ok hence 3 stars. Both servers looked poorly and were not in any sort of hurry. Edit: Just been back to give another try, chips were disgraceful and the batter on the cod bites was uncooked and left a thick paste on the inside. Despite being empty this took 20 minutes to serve. This time it was so bad I took it back to offer constructive criticism. The lady was sympathetic enough but was was really annoying was the owner in the back listening but also not looking and moving further away so he didn't have to speak to me. With an owner like that it's not surprising the food is so bad. They are lucky there's no competition close by! Avoid!

went there on sunday and when i was waiting the food delivery driver came in went behind the counter and started sorting fresh food orders did not wash there hands have a hat or hair net and i have seen this before, not sure what the council health inspector will say but will stop going there, the place always looks clean but sometimes the management is not always looking at what is going on i have never before been in a takeaway food place where the delivery driver has gone passed the counter

The fish was chewy and the chips were horrible

I drove to the chippy as I knew it would be busy and ordered Haddock and Chips. The place was busy but with it being Good Friday all chippies are busy. The fish that was going in the fryer looked lovely, huge fillets. Mine came out and it was tiny, I paid for large chips, again tiny. £4.70 for the fish and £2.10 for the chips. I wish I’d gone down The Brockwell. The fish was lovely, just small.

This is my first visit to this takeaway and it will certainly be my last . I called in as I was passing and ordered a kebab ,and I have to say it’s the worst kebab meat I’ve ever had ,and it was as dry as Gandhi’s flip flop,so it had obviously been sitting for a while and chips were cold and bland ...I fed most of it to the dogs and even they were not sure ..you have been warned !

Ordered a pizza for delivery.Daughter was horrified to find a short black pube on pizza slice.Called manager who came to my house and issued a refund saying he did not know how this could happen.Manager then called me later that night and said after investigation he thought it was not a pube but a bit of plastic from a bag!

Poor with the food. The young lad serving with sideburns was cleaning and then serving food. Never washed hands and just looked unhygienic. Didn't even bother to eat the food as was totally put off.

We are regulars here and never had a bad meal. The fish is always huge portions and cooked to perfection with nice crispy batter. Chip portions are good and delivery is always very fast. I couldn’t fault this place. The pizzas are nice also, a good choice.

I had food from here a few times and its been lovely., but tonight we got fish and chips and the chips were disgusting they were like scraps that had been cooked a few times over with no potato in them. If you pay money for something you expect to get what you pay for!! Not happy at all 😡

Waiting 20 minutes for 2 sausages ro be cooked gives you time to notice little things like the young kid with sideburns who tucked his clothes into his joggers then washed down a work station served somebody sausage and chips and then cooked what looked to be a load of burgers without washing his hands once. He did however wipe them on his trousers a few times which was nice. Luckily the miserable old one who's been there years served mine so my cold fish and chips and sausage and chips with curry sauce so lumpy it looked like a dumpling mix had been emptied into it were relatively bacteria free. I just hope the woman who's dog is missing a chicken nugget can say the same. Brockwell Chippy much better will never use this place again.

Never anything ready, always waiting for something, usually chips. Never been the same since the makeover.

Stopped for chips on my way home from work recently. Only 2 mins drive from home but the chips were soggy and cold at 6.15pm. Clearly long past their best when served. Won't be going back again.
