Mcdonald's Restaurants in Barrow-in-Furness

We came to Barrow-in-Furness for a lovely day out. Had lunch in Mcdonald. The food was terrible. Not worth the money we paid for. That is why we gave 1 rate.

Ordered our meal at 12.05pm to eat-in and for table service, found a table, there only seemed to be one staff member cleaning tables and serving the food to the tables and outside, we waited for over half an hour for our meal, when it came to us it was in a bag, there was no apologies for the wait, when we started to eat our meal the fries and big macs were luke warm, not happy at all

Nothing wrong with the restaurant staff, the manager was helpful when I went into complain, but I order off just eat and the driver arrived an hour late, passed the food to his assistant said deliver to this address, he agreed but then walked off with the food and disappeared

Worst McDonald’s in the uk never get your order right and never have ice cream or the nice products that come out the place it’s a dump and takes over 30 minutes to get your food wouldn’t recommend to anyone go else where!!!

Genuinely the worst mcdonald's I've ever been to, I would much rather drive to Ulverston Mcdonald's where you are met with a freindly voice, correct order and COOKED fries! Hollywood Park Mcdonald's the staff sound like they communicate in their own language, may as well ask what you wouldn't like to order and the fies are boiled not fried!! It's fast food, it's not hard to get right!!!!!

This place this going down the pan 30 mins to wait for your food and when it finally came it was cold. Some of the staff was messing about behind the counter instead of getting peoples orders out and they never get your order right there is always missing from your order. Really needs sorting out and being good again!!!

Firstly drove from askam to barrow to collect food for my daughter and her friend. Went through the drive through ordered food 2x happy meals and 2 big Mac meals, told to wait as there was no food. Waited 15mins - a lad comes out and drops a happy meal Infront of me then passes me it - I said I don't want that one, he then says you don't want that one? Well no it's been on the floor in the rain! He goes in, gets a fresh box and puts the cold food in a clean box. food was probably the same stuff he dropped. Food was cold so I walk back in and request a replacement meal. Then I drove home - once home we had 2 happy meals (cold) and 1x big Mac meal (cold) so I then drove back to barrow once I returned I called a manager (Ryan) I requested a full refund and a replacement meal. Ryan sorted this as he could see my anger and frustration! Completely wrong from start to finish - I got no fuel money refunded as I was to barrow - askam - barrow - askam all for 4 meals. This is the last time my family will use this company. I'll be off to burger king next time! DO NOT GO TO Hollywood PARK MC Donald's! Complete sh#!e

been to McDs all over the country... this one is the worstslow service - surly staff... food is dried up and overpriced... a shambles ... STAY AWAY

Sent wrong items and looks like the food had been kicked around the kitchen floor black and greasy. Ordered food from just eat and was delivered in good time although food was cold as if it has been sat around for a long time.

We ordered a delivery. Delivery was not even close to what we ordered. Rung up to complain they hung up on me. Rung back .they told me I would need to return the food in person. We both had flu so had to drive to the Macdonalds that processed the order . They tried to blame uber eats but the order on the bag was correct. But inside the order was no where near. They didn't help us . I just demanded my money back and went hungry .never again. Customer service a total disgrace .

Had a bacon roll with brown sauce, the bacon was raw looking and quite horrible and the sauce was just a huge blob on one side of the bun which was actually red sauce when id asked for brown, this was from the drive thru so didn't get chance to complain, also i hada cheese burger and small fries the other day, the burger was passable but the fries at 2pm were a nearly warm soggy mess, altogether quite disgusting 🤢

Great service from the shift leader lovely dining experience will be coming back again absolutely exquisite burger and ice cream

I have actually been here about four times now, repeatedly calling it a bad day for them and coming back for a second chance. No longer, I am really fed up with the poor service and attitude of this place; Issues: 1) The service is slow, especially on the drive through and on this particular trip, inside (eat in) as well. 2) the staff, don’t care- dirty every time I visit,bins are always full around the car park and restaurant. literally today I heard “here’s your order it’s in a bag as we’ve run out of trays, sorry” the gentleman was fine with it but as one picture shows, there were quite a few trays ready to pick up and wipe down back into under counter if they wanted to, they were there since we arrived and there were only six orders down in 30 minutes (excluding drive through), so they had time to collect? On more than one occasion, there has been3-4 in a group chatting for prolonged periods when I can see ques in store, I went around drive through on this occasion (can see them through window hiding in kitchen/back) some with managers participating in a chat whilst dining area looked, well… 3) wrong menu items given all the time- drive through missed an item both times I went round, called to speak to manager, they said they’d call back and never did. (Got compensated in the end) Eating in I got two free items without asking, fine by me but, I doubt managers will like that half the staff can’t tell between meals and single items… Positives: 1) some staff are pleasant 2) the toilets are ok

Absolute garbage..food cold then had to wait 20 mins for a fresh burger while our mcflurfys melted...staff stood around talking.

The food was absolutely shocking. The large portion if chips had the same amount as a small. The food was cold and the burgers in the boxes were all over the place. The staff were moody. Terrible place.

Terrible service. Waited 45 mins for our order. Staff were busy chatting to their colleagues who had finished their shifts and were waiting for their food orders. They got served first. Food bagged up and left on cold counter for ages. Management should be appalled. Staff should not be playing with their hair, or touching their faces whilst waiting for chips to finish frying. All in all the staff need a kick up the backside and the management team need either replacing or need to get on with their jobs!!! Shocking service and the young man who appeared to not want to be there who eventually called out our number huffed when we asked for the dipping sauces we had already ordered. We told Customers who were on there way in to order, to avoid and go to KFC or Burger King. We are on holiday here and would never come back again.

Literally every time I visit my order is wrong. Each time something is guaranteed to be missing or not correct. It’s got to the point where I check before I leave, which I shouldn’t have to do. Chips are horrific, white, not salty, soggy and always half full. More care and attention is definitely needed, it’s a little embarrassing actually.

Ordered table service, the young man who served us our order never acknowledged us, just plonked the tray down and walked away. The fries were cold, my husband’s sandwich, the burger was cold, the bacon was undercooked and there was so much sauce on it that everything kept sliding off. This has not been the first occurrence at this establishment. Will be a while before we return.

Went to macdonajds this evening went through drive thru got asked to park and my order would be brought out to me waited for about 15 min eventually it was brought to us only to find items missing went into restaurant to complain I was given another order only to find out when I got home that yet again my order was wrong will not be returning will use Dalton road in future

We drove through the drive threw go home. Our meal was very disappointing. Photos will follow. My poor little girl was poorly too and didn't eat anything due to meals all being burnt.

Not one to write a review but this Mcdonald’s was horrendous. Hands down the worst I have ever been to. Ordered 2 Large Fries and we only got one, the chips had obviously been left for ages as they tasted like cardboard. Nacho Cheese Wedges...

Wow what fabulous service we received today as a family. First time stepping into a McDonald’s after COVID and the staff were so good keeping everything clean and tidy and couldn’t do enough for us. Michelle was fabulous, she helped me sort out a dessert...

Staff are extremely helpful in these coronavirus times. Excellent as proper social distancing. Plus the staff clean the self service order machines once one person has used it. Impressed with McDonald's.

Apoor quality burger, fries were soggy, the service was quick and the place was very clean with tables cleared very quickly. Staff were friendly to.

Can our FAST food chain not supply fast food, more than often we have to wait in the car park for 5 mins which is not then fast, WHY?

Took some grandkids here for a quick bite, got chicken nuggets and chips as a drive through. Cooked freshly and brought to us in the car park, actually very nice! Always a winner with the kids.

Missing items from order so I called the store to see if it could get rectified but was rudely told to contact uber eats. Disgusting customer service and in future I suggest you dont let that person answer the phone.

Visited on a Saturday with my daughter and received great customer service from John. Very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Needed to check ingredients of an item due to serious food allergies and he was so helpful. Very positive experience.

The place was spotless, table's cleared quickly, Staff looked and sounded fed up and pretty robotic. Service was quick but food was of poor quality and just warm. Can see why its been a while since I last visited.

So previously my wife had gone through the drive thru and unfortunately didn’t receive the chicken nuggets for my son she ordered however a quick phone call (days later) was resolved apologised and a free meal was accepted great customer service

Hoy decidí visitar Hollywood park Mcdonald's para recibir una orden incorrecta. Actualmente vivo a aproximadamente 3 millas de distancia y cuando desenvolví y finalmente tomé un poco de mi tan esperado rap me disgustó encontrarlo cubierto una vez más con una fuente a la que soy altamente alérgico. Sin darme cuenta de esto, terminé vomitando una vez más ante la incompetencia de algunos de los empleados de esta sucursal. Me desconcierta lo confuso que uno puede volverse al tema de lo simple o no. Esto ha sucedido en tantas ocasiones, lo que hace creer que no se ha hecho algo al respecto. Las personas que tienen alimentos alegan que se han puesto en riesgo debido a una simple polla y sus gerentes parecen algo despreocupados. Todas las otras ramas de Mcdonald parecen arreglárselas bien. Infact esta rama en el parque de Hollywood ha alienado mi costumbre a la de Mcdonald por completo. Mal servicio al cliente. Yo 100% no recomiendo este vendedor

My husband suggested we take our grandson we went through the drive through we got some chicken nuggets they were lukewarm not very nice at all won’t be going back

I haven’t been to McDonalds for quite a while, so was surprised that you had to use a machine to order now. After a few goes, i was about to give up, untill a lovely young lady called Crystal came over and explained how to use it. She was so helpful and explained it so brilliantly, and even came over once the food arrived to check everything was ok. What a nice change, if i could nominate her for best employee award i would. Thank you Crystal and hope to see you again soon.

I ordered a cheeseburger today from the drivethrough and after taking 2 bites out of it I turned it over to find what I assumed to be a feather with dirt all over it stuck to the bottom of the burger! Absolutely disgusting! That was the worst part of the meal but also the chips I had gotten had absolutely no salt on them at all and the coke tasted flat. I will not be visiting this McDonalds again!

Getting the hang of the touch screen ordering and nice to have service to the table. Food is still rubbish but the kids love it, coffee tolerable this time. Restaurant busy but clean.

McDonald's is what it is, cheap food delivered with a minimum of fuss, what makes or breaks it is the service. This particular restaurant needs to try harder, long drive through queues, incorrect orders and disinterested staff.

There was so much missing from our order.. fries, cheese bites, cheeseburger... and the McFlurrys were all small ones despite being the regular ones ordered...it’s not hard to read an order.. I really resent giving money to maccies for nothing!!.. couldn’t go back as had children ready for bed.. really peed off!!!.. next time I’ll agree with the gang and go to kfc..the whole point of takeaway is not having to cook at home, seeing as mum could hardly take the food out of the mouths of babes I’m having to get myself something..total waste of time and money!!

In a nutshell. It’s crap junk food. Ideal as a filler but breakfasts seem to be crunchy tasting or burnt most of the time. Staff are under trained and too many mistakes with orders happen.

Clean and busy staff tidying up. Lots of things for the kids to do, even a balloon artist going round. Food is punk coffee worse. Chips were lukewarm at best, chicken legend thing was moderate. Computerised terminals now, wait for your number to be shown to pick up.

the food i great but the staff can be very unprofessional pointing and staring at my friend and i when we were waiting for my other friend to oder are food when we went to sit down we got kicked out

Went in recently to find they now have computerised order points in front of the counter. Great if you have used one before but annoys people when you are slow. Plus people now standing evrywhere so you don't know who has ordered. Still very busy and food was usual standard.

My and my friends arrived last night, desperate and hungry, with Maccys being the only place available we had journeyed for many miles only to find that the rude stuff wouldn't serve us even though we could see people being served in front of us.

Last minute choice by the daughter on bank holiday Monday at 3 in the afternoon. Quickly served in the drive thru. Chicken sandwich meal and a big tasty meal. Still quite hot when we got home. The big tasty was not so much as it was smothered in sauce which was sickly about half way through.

Went through drive through. Far too often food is cold. Chips are hard or rubbery and usually they get the order wrong.

Seems to be cleaner than the one in town. Efficient drive thru, and got a complicated order correct which often doesn't happen other places.

Went through the drive thru and placed my order and when I got it,checked it and my large fries were missing so I drove round again to tell them and the young lad on the serving window handed me the fries abruptly with no apology and said nothing n slammed the window!! Rude,put me off going because everytime I go they forgot something I order. Disappointed

Wow what's happened to McDonald's. Never been in one as swish as this before. Technology for the kids to play with. Computerised ordering system, table service, loads of staff on and hot food flying out quickly. It was warm on a cold eve and welcoming. Good value and best mcdonalds experience I have had

So ordered 2 large Big Mac meals, a large hot and spicy chicken legend with bacon meal and cheesy bites. I got the Big Mac meals, but a BBQ chicken legend and NO cheesy bites. Drinks all fine! But no receipt either... went in to change the chicken legend and get the cheesy bites and they didn't even offer anything for the disruption while the rest of the food was goin cold! Just a feeble attempt at an apology! Last time I visit a Macdonald's branch.

I was quiet when I walked in only to be greeted by a rude member of staff, having ordered my Big Mac Fries and Coffee I was told in a to step aside into another area even though no one was behind me and I was thinking about ordering something else.Have to say, I've never had a worse burger, cardboard like with a mushy bun, fries very salty. Ordered a chicken select. Paid for it and when I got home after ordering at drivethrough I found it was a small chicken burger type thing. I checked my receipt. They charged me for a chicken select so obviously heard what I ordered but couldn't get it right. It happens far too often. I advise thaT before driving off you check your order is correct. I did speak with a supervisor about it and she was apologetic but it's fuel used and time taken to sort out their mistakes which do seem to happen a lot.

Took the family and ordered a meal only to be told the milk shake machine wasn't working. This was the second time in two weeks it wasn't working. After placing an order for the kids and they not getting milkshakes again we decided to cancel the order. It's not good enough. Last time we went the chips were cold and chewy and the burgers don't look anything like they do in the adverts. The staff are ok and usually all is ok but they do have a habit of getting the order wrong

Absolutely awful the chips weren't salted, they had no milkshakes, and they got my order wrong. I asked for large and they gave us medium and didn't give us a coke we asked for with it

On Hollywood park near to the cinema it is a standard McDonalds which can get busy with contractors going to or from work and with customers going to or coming from the cinema.Clean inside,efficient staff and seating outside the front door though it can be windy and you may get sea gulls stealing your food.

Great for kids usual variety of choices clean toilets. Pop in after the rugby match for a burger and fries, decent enough coffee and tea, cheap and cheerful always.

they usually get your order wrong but definitely can't fault the food certainly looking a lot cleaner and more modern after a recent upgrade but more should be done to prevent it being a hangout for teenagers

Went to mc'ds for a breakfast this morning but wouldn't let me pay for food because I had a £50 note!!!!! Unbelievable !!! Excuse they hadwas they don't have a machine to check them .. Have u tried holding it up to the light and looking at it ???? And surely note checking machines are generic as in they check all notes .. U don't need a machine for a £5 and different one for £10 notes surely ..won't be going again that's for certain !

This Mcdonalds is the greatest Mcdonalds on this god damn earth.The 933 is the place to be.They got the shakes that'll make you quake.They got the fries that'll cross your eyes.They got that burgers that'll... They just got burgers.

Well nice mcflurry but waited a fair while for cheese burger, polite staff but fast food needs a different title for drive thru.

It's ok for a quick stop gap to snatch a snack,but I wouldn't want to be having this for my dinner...
