Full of kids and teenagers as its the town center

It's a really nice place and you get good service.

Called today at around one and had the pleasure of having upstairs to ourselves. Staff were very polite and on hand should we have needed. The area was immaculately clean and the table wireless phone charger was a lifesaver for my daughter. Upon visiting the gents, I was dismayed to find a hot water tap pouring away and can only guess for how long so. All it needed was a wiggle and shut off. I reported this to staff who duly noted and said they were waiting for repair. Possibly keeping an eye on it, or even a paper sign saying not to use. I also noted there was a stall out of order. Minor notes to an otherwise lovely McDs View from the stools was great.

Only had a hot chocolate it was pretty rubbish

Went on Thursday with grandaughter around 4 15pm after seeing the spire Christmas trees. Walked in and was met by (I think she was the cleaner) telling us they couldn't serve us, the system was diwn and we needed to go. Some people left but we went down to the counter, ordered and paid cash, no problem. Not sure how many customers she sent away.

I decided to have a meal after I looked around the town the restaurant itself was bright and clean and a little busy I didn't have to wait too long for my order and managed to find a seat. Unfortunately the burger and fries were cooked but cold so that kind of spoiled the meal for me.

Definitely gone down hill recently, it seems the delivery's take priority now. The managers don't seem to know how to use thier own tills correctly, one even refused a voucher an to serve me as he didn't know how to enter the code manually. Food is usually warm enough, but the attitudes of most staff members are terrible. You don't even get as much as a hello from 90% of them. Westbars is only a 5min walk away, the staff are much nicer an the restaurant far cleaner

The food is usually hot and delivered promptly go table BUT I wish they would turn down the loud theatre music. I am autistoc with sensory issues and it over stimulates and disrupts conversation

Hello. My mom aged 91 went on a day trip to Chesterf from Shropshire. She got a bit lost and disoriented. She is diabetic and had low blood sugar. She went into this McDonald's, desperately looking for something to eat. My mom has never been to a McDonald's in her 91 years! The staff were absolutely amazing. They managed to get her sorted with coffee and a blueberry muffin! Having had 3 strokes her speech is at times quite limited. Huge thanks to you all for your customer service. Wonderful! Management please note.

It's a McDonald's - you place the order, you pay, they call your name out, you collect, and then sit down to eat.....(and if you are like me, you then get feelings of guilt and buyer remorse)....but it does taste nice.

Local maccys go all the time, only issue I have is the coke is awful. Its almost like all of the coke dispensers have supermarket own brand (no offence but it aint the same) cola in them...other than that, love it

This Mcdonalds branch in Barlborough nr Chesterfield I've been observing them often for a number of weeks and the staff are very friendly and helpful, they entertain the young children well with toys, fun and games. Very good customer services skills they all show. Good branch.

Chips wernt fresh. Cheese burger wasn't hot in the middle. And saw staff prepping it with no gloves on.

I call in occasionally, however last visit, they had no fries which is hard to believe being McDonald's. Also after eating a burger and having no fries I had a coke, after finishing I wanted a wash my hands and use the toilet however then the ladies toilet was "closed for cleaning". I called in a couple of weeks before this again the back section of tables closed off and toilets were again closed so I wasn't able to wash my hands before I left. I called a few weeks before this, toilets were open but disgusting. It's put me off visiting.

Went for Breakfast, always a treat!

Dark dingy place, staff didn't seem to care, burger was cool, whereas fries were nice and hot.

Used to be nice from here but the last 3 times we've ordered the buns have been beyond stale

The oldest Mc Donald's in Chesterfield , I was a kid when this opened ,I'm now 49 and it shows ,the stench this morning from the toilets was horrible, disinfectant or bleach or worse ,you could smell it right through the building . People with buckets of bleach walking through the kitchen ,hardly hygienic. People who are clearly without homes congregating here with no food ,Won't be visiting here again.

Ordered breakfast from here and the egg on the McMuffin was green and we ordered a cheese bacon flatbread with no cheese and it came with no bacon and just cheese

Culture of incompetence. You wouldn't think that at McDonalds. Don't believe me? Order 10 Dominoes with changes and 10 meals from here with changes. I'd be surprised if Dominoes didn't get ten correct, and have money nine would be correct. Where as I'd have money on these getting at least six wrong

Stopped by during a visit to the area with a good friend. There were several available seating places, and appeared to be an upstairs area as well. We remained downstairs, ordering from the kiosks mounted to the wall inside the door. Our order was called out within 10 minutes, which given the restaurant was busy (as it was lunch time) this was great to see.

One of the dirtiest McDonald's I've been in ok it was busy but come on it's McDonald's. The sauce stations around the place were dirty and not topped up. Toilets were grotty too won't be coming back anytime soon.

My family and I love to visit McDonalds but we don’t like the decor of the restaurant, the walls are covered in graffiti which really makes the place feel depressing and it’s like being in a subway tunnel or public graffitied toilets.

Last night on 13/7/19 my daughter went into McDonalds after work she was followed in by a large group of teens threatening her. She rang me I told her I was on my way in the meantime to ask a staff member to keep her safe untilI got there. I pulled up less than ten minutes later outside the door the group of teens at least 15 of them were waiting outside for my daughter to leave so they could beat her up. Your staff members escorted my daughter right to my car door to make sure she was safe. I’m so grateful to them and can’t thank them enough.

Food and staff lovely but the music upstairs was way to loud and for someone like me with autism was quite stressful

Why does this restaurant not do anything about the intimidating little chavs who swear and bully people and show off thinking they are something special? I use this branch Twice a week and everytime I go in its full of little chavs! Little scrotums thinking they are big men. Sort it out!!!! It’s embarrassing.

On Saturday morning my wife and I thought it would be a good idea to have a cheeky breakfast as you do! So we were in nice and early before the hoards I might add ordered our food and took a seat at what we deemed the cleanist of the dirty tables as we sat there we noticed that the floor hadn't been swept or mopped from the day before as there were chips and packaging on the floor, the windows were smeared as if someone had wiped them with a dirty cloth. And as for the front of house staff she could have turned milk sour in the tanker. Very disappointed in McDonald's

This McDonald's treat teenagers like vermin, even if we want to buy meals we are often refused all though they let fully grown adults sit in there all day and eat food purchased else where? Staff are very rude

Very busy usually means popular but I really have no idea why. The fries were fine but the burger little more than tepid. It was served without a tray (I had to ask). The level of the background music is so extraordinary high people have to shout to make themselves heard, thus adding to the cacophony. And when eating a neighbouring table was sprayed so liberally by the cleaner it permeated everything.

This location seems much more organised that the one on Derby Road. Never had a problem even when busy.

The kids love it but us adults arent so keen. Good for quick, cheap, fast food(of course) and novelty in kids meal. Full of students on phones ramming burgers in their mouths.

I had a dream last night where I came to this establishment for the first time in a long time, I had ordered a Big Tasty beast (with bacon obvs). Due to it being busy I was told they'd bring my food out to me, so I thought fair enough, took my drink and went to the beer garden.Bit strange because this McDonald's doesn't have any outdoor seating let alone a beer garden, this was my first suspicion that it was a dream.It was at this point when the dream turned into a nightmare because I then had to wait TWO AND A HALF HOURS and still was nowhere near to being served my food, were they killing the horse themselves to bring me my meat? I ordered my food at 1pm, it was now half 3, so I went to the counter and complained how long it was taking and that I wanted a refund.They then produced a chocolate milkshake and some donuts to apologize for the wait, but didn't actually give me the food I'd ordered or the refund I had sought out.While this was just a dream I had last night, I feel like these could be real concerns that need to be addressed by management as soon as possible as this caused me much distress and hungry for a McDonald's at such an early hour.

No one could get orders right, and not easy to get a seat , not disabled friendly you have to go up steps mostly to get a seat

Ok mcdonalds but can get very busy at peak times. Sometimes there is no seats and they still keep upstairs seating closed. Fast service and good staff. Asking staff to use the toilet is a joke. Other mcdonalds near the cinema is a lot better.

We got 2 Mac Donald both are always so full of young ones, We never get a table to sit on.That why we never use it.. We use the drive through now and then to get a Happy meal..

Took my 3 grandchildren there for a Happy Meal,and they loved it. I just had coffee,which was nice,and good value.

Went for lunch during February half-term. Food service was very quick - no queue - so it was odd that we had to wait for somewhere to sit. I saw other people stood waiting who gave up and left. Staff were helpful and friendly, and it was clean. Food was good value as usual - but by the time we sat down, not very hot any more.

Went into maccies this evening and was served by a lovely lady named Janet. So kind and funny. Very helpful and fantastic server! GIVE HER A RAISE :)

We took 14 Beaver Scouts into Chesterfield on Wednesday night to see the Xmas lights and eat at McDonald's after.I had pre ordered the food for 7pm and it was ready and waiting, we were then looked after Shelby Walters and her team really well, in our reserved area.As we were about to leave, they produced balloons for all the Beavers, brilliant.My only regret is there is no gluton free option for me yet on the menu, other than salad !

I love McDonalds, but some are good, welcoming places, and some aren't. This belonged to the latter. It was hard to find an empty seat, and it was a bit of a depressing place.

I love McDonalds. I love to have a large doublecheese burger meal with a large chocolate milkshake or large diet coke. I love the mcflurrys too even though I havent had one in about a year. I normally go for the dairy milk mcflurry but round Easter I like the cadbury creme egg mcflurry. Mmmm yummy.

I have been going here for 6 years and I think it's good.I like to suit upstairs overlooking the market. I always see people I know walking about the market square.

Breakfast at McDonald's is for me an event and worth waiting for. I love most of the menu on offer but the big breakfast is one of my faces, I can sit down upstairs and eat in peace with some tunes on in the background and it feels like I am not in the town centre.The service is excellent and the staff are friendly, worth visiting if you are in chesterfield, even if it isjust for a coffee it is great, clean and tidy with a smile, keep it up and thanks.

Well its MacDonalds, they all taste the same. Not keen on the food in general, but when there are offers on, it's probably one of the cheapest cafes to go to. I wouldn't pay full price in there.

Throughout the highs and lows of my troublesome and worrying past, there has been one constant in my life which has kept me going. That was, and still is, the delicously comforting taste of a large Mcnuggets accompanied by the simple and elegant 89p hamburger. Mcdonalds is there to sympathise with me when I’m feeling down and is also on hand to bask in life’s more joyous occasions. McDonalds is not just about cheap, great tasting food but building the warm, friendly and judgement-free environment which was found lacking in my childhood home. At McDonalds I feel loved and I’m reminded of this beautiful reality whenever a waitress says those 3 little words: "Your orders ready". I wake up each morning feeling so grateful that I’m part of this global community, knowing that wherever I am in the world, those lovely golden arches will be there alongside me and keep me physically and spiritually nourished.
