McDonald's Hinckley - Dodwells Road in Hinckley and Bosworth

Two Quarter pounder with cheese meal orders were met with the usual can you please move forward to the front hatch and wait. We did. ...and we waited...and waited...and waited. We watched as over 20 cars were served ahead of us and wondered what could be so complicated about quarter pounders with cheese. The truth? We had been forgotten. We were now down the priority list as they dealt with those behind us and the precious Just Eats orders. After 8 minutes sat there like idiots i shouted for some help and after a further two minutes the food arrived. We parked up. "Never Mind" i sighed. "At least it will be fresh and hot" Guess what? Stone cold burgers and luke warm fries. Proving that we had been forgotten.God this is so frustrating. There used to be a few constant rules in the universe in the 80's and 90's. NOTHING CAN BE CERTAIN EXCEPT DEATH AND TAXES........ AND EXCELLENT QUALITY AT MCDONALD'S. I am dismayed that the new McDonalds standards are awful. I did actually complain. I took the time to walk into the restaurant and ask for a manager. She looked disinterested , overwhelmed , overworked. I was offered fresh meals or ice creams. I actually wanted her to care. To say this situation would be discussed at a Management meeting. To promise improvement.This is not how the post covid world works however. So we drove off dissapointed as i am sure many others will experience at this venue.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Service at [McDonald's Location] Dear McDonald's Customer Service Team, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service my family and I received during our recent visit to your Dodwells Hinckley restaurant on 10th November. We are regular visitors, making the 15-mile journey 3-4 times a month, as our children love the experience of dining at McDonald's and watching the traffic from the upstairs seating area. Unfortunately, our experience this time has left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated, to the point that we are reconsidering returning in the future. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, which was particularly challenging as we had our two young children with us and it had gone 6pm. By the time our order finally arrived, it was stone cold. When we brought this to the attention of the manager on duty, Dan, we were met with rude, dismissive behaviour. Dan admitted that our food had been sitting in the lift for at least 25 minutes before it was brought up, so the staff were fully aware that they were serving paying customers substandard food, yet Dan the apparent manager showed no remorse and offered no apology for the inconvenience caused. His attitude was unprofessional, impolite and it’s shocking that someone with such a lack of customer service skills holds an alleged managerial position. Furthermore, he failed, despite repeated requests to give us the email address to raise the complaint. This not only reflects poorly on him but also tarnishes the reputation of McDonald's as a brand. We only ordered two Happy Meals and a small fries, which should not have been a complicated or lengthy order to fulfill. This level of service is simply unacceptable and quite frankly disgusting. Our children didn't enjoy their good and were teary (they are 2 and 4 years old) so it was a complete waste of money. I am formally lodging a complaint regarding both the service and the conduct of your manager, and I expect a prompt response addressing these issues, along with an apology. I hope to see corrective actions taken so that no other paying family has to endure this level of disrespect and poor service in the future.

I never normally have a problem here, but last night to the mick. I waited 2 mins to get my order taken, then they thought I was a good idea to serve to other people before me. Staff unhelp and don't care and has for the manager he couldn't manage a good ****. I wont be using this place again truly awful staff last night.

We stopped here on our way past. We ordered food and it didn't take overly long to arrive at our table. The big mac burger was ok, the chicken nuggets seemed fresh, the chips weren't the best. The chocolate milkshake was ok (finally got the machine working as hadn't been working for a while). The place seemed clean. The car park was reasonably busy.

Missing all food today apart from drinks. Previously missing Big Mac and Fillet Fish. 1 out of last 5 trips or deliveries had complete orders.

Visited with my son whilst waiting for my vehicle to be fixed locally. Food was OK. However the staff member Andy clearly forgot he was at work when his friends arrived. Very very loud speaking, with several profanities from the teenager he was chatting with. The real issue was the very graphic conversations about wound Injuries and how to fix them .... Not what you want to hear when eating your food!!

Ordered on a Friday night as was knackered couldn’t be bothered to cook. I always get myself a meal and mcflurry but always treat my furbabies to some chicken nuggets. I specifically ordered my burger with no pickle slices or mustard and then this time the order was 9 nuggets. The order was ready and picked up by courier, however the couriers have started to allow the drivers to pick up two orders. One in one direction then mine in the opposite direction. McDonald’s doesn’t stay warm for long as it is. I phoned the restaurant spoke with Charlie and she said she was so sorry and she was happy to stick me on the tracker, I said no it’s ok let me see what state my meal is in when it gets here. It arrived and the wrong burger has been picked up and I thought somebody was having a joke as it had xtra pickles on. Charlie couldn’t apologise enough and said when I’m next about to go in and two meals two deserts were on the house. I went in , spoke to Charlie about two weeks later and asked instead of two meals i I could take a medium meal and box of 20 nuggets for me and the furbabies. Charlie was more than happy to oblige. Charlie is an incredible manager that genuinley wants to get things resolved :) Please make sure Charlie gets praise she deserves

Every time we have ordered from here there is always items missing so make sure that you check your food order. Every order that we've had delivered is stone cold when it arrives. Ordered on the 25th November through just eat. The food was stone cold, its great eating stone cold burgers and wraps and disgusting fries. Plus once again missed items. Awful food and awful delivery This mcdonalds is the worst by some margin (Hinckley Dodwells). Even when you make a complaint due to missing items, there's never an apology or an offer of a refund. Terrible service

Twice now I have been to McDonald’s Dodwells Road Hinckley and they have blocked up the disabled bays with either a cone, trolleys or rubbish bins and let their delivery van park there!! I made my original complaint about 10th October and have sent another complaint but both times I’ve received generic responses that don’t even address the issue. They don’t care. Absolutely disrespectful. Accessibility isn’t a joke people…😡

We have ordered take out twice in the past two weeks. The first time was for 4 people, we waited a long time for only 3 to arrive and had to go back for the last one. Thought it might have been a one off. Ordered for 2 people tonight (not much) and have been waiting for over an hour to receive it . So much for fast food. Hungry and still waiting will not be recommending even if the food does actually arrive.

Appalling service, arrived home after picking up my Drivethru and I was missing a wrap, cheese bites and a drink. Obviously well versed at ripping off customers.

We were passing here and decided to get some breakfast. We car park and drive thru were relatively busy. We found a parking bay and ordered food via the app. The food didn't take overly long to arrive at the car to which the staff member apologised for the delay. I had the double sausage and egg mcmuffin which was nice however this time it was quite greasy, the wrapper was greasy and the food had some grease dripping off it when eating it. They didn't provide any napkins which luckily we had something in the car to clean our hands otherwise we would have had grease all over the touch points of the car. Overall the food was ok, the staff were friendly, Parking can sometimes be an issue and the drive thru can be slow at times.

Horrendous service. Order completely wrong and took over 20mins to come, and the clown that served us thought it was funny. He offered us a little Pokémon toy as an apology.

Order wrong again…ran out of sauces/napkins/straws etc but most of all this branch of McDonalds are using the disabled bays as storage for their rubbish bins and cafes prior to collection - thus making it very difficult if you are disabled - their normal bays are to narrow to get out of the car and into a wheelchair. Thanks McDonalds for not prioritising disabled people.

We decided to get some breakfast from here as we were going past here on our way somewhere. The car park was reasonably busy but managed to find a parking space near to the door. We decided to go in, the inside seemed clean and could tell decor was fairly new. It was quite quiet downstairs not sure how busy the upstairs area was. We had ordered food via the app and had to click that we were there when we arrived for the order to complete. It took probably about 10 minutes to get our food which we had ordered pancakes, coffee and double egg mcmuffin. The food wasn't overly warm and they didn't put cutlery or syrup on the tray so had to ask for them. Overall the staff seemed friendly, the place seemed clean. Food could have been hotter and faster served

Honestly if you want fast food you’d be better off going to a restaurant and placing an order. I’ve never been and actually had my food delivered at the window! Park in the bay, every time. Usually there are no bays free because that seems to be how they serve everyone at the drive through. Absolutely useless

We were going to order through the app for delivery however there is sometimes an issue with not getting everything which was on the order in the bag so we decided to drive here instead. We ordered the food via the app and when got there looked for the bays which other McDonald's have for food pick up's however they didn't have them we saw a sign which said to park in any numbered bay which was the whole car park. This was good as there is only usually 4 or 5 spaces reserved for food pick up's. We parked in a bay and did the process on the app to say we were there. The place was quite busy, the car park was quite full and the drive through was quite long. After about 15 minutes our food and drinks came out which was all correct. The food was ok, the usual quality. Would come back here again

Absolutely terrible everytime I use it, and every time I say never again but its very convenient for my journey. This time I really mean it probably.

Extremely rude manager when I questioned why I was being asked to park at the drive through after receiving my food to get my drinks.

I order Mozzeralla Dippers and Chicken Select I literaterally added the salsa and bbq dip to go with it They only sent the bloody food. Who eats or how can anyone eat theses without the dipp or salsa. The fact I order via uuber eats. Mc Donald's workers you need to pay attention. I'm not happy. My Dippers went to waste. I would only ear MCD mozzarella stick with there salsa n you let me down. Iits always the case. I give you a -1 rating

We decided to get something to eat from here which we went through the drive thru. There was a bit of a queue but it went down reasonably quickly. We ordered nuggets, a couple of burgers and a chocolate milkshake and ice caramel latte. We had to ask for some more sauce because they only put a couple in that we had asked for. The nuggets were good, the burgers were a little squished and dry, the chips were soggy and cold. The drinks were ok, they had filled the chocolate milkshake up properly not the way most of the chains do of only 3/4 full. Overall the staff were friendly, the food was ok but some items could have been better. The drive thru can be really busy at times

I had a delivery and bearing in mind that I live 1 Minute away from restaurant waiting about 5o minutes food came and it was cold and soggy called McDonald's to complain they said it's Uber issue so called Uber they said sorry food didn't meet expectations and goodbye !!!!

Never order from apps like uber or just eat as they will never get your order correct even when going though the drive though staff seem lazy and are have no problem just giving you what they like
