Lovely food and freshly cooked

They did not follow the instructions left in the notes when i called up they said they would replace which they did but then everything else was cold so had to be thrown away.

I had an email to say the driver could not find my address. I rang the shop on the email, they very kindly gave me the drivers number. The driver said he was at his next delivery and would call me back within 5-6 mins. 30 mins later he pulled up outside the house. without a call back to ask exact location.! The food was cold and soggy. Such a shame, i have ordered from the shop on many occasions. But what a let down this time round. I will not be ordering for a delivery again unfortunately.

Never had bad food from here. Always 5* very reasonable priced too. Opening times can be a but hit and miss now and again.

Food arrived late. Fish was so dry and un edible ,chips were not cooked and just a soggy mess and the chip paper was like It had just come out the fryer. It's the worst i have ever had. Such a shame as I really rated the restaurant. Best part was the carrier bag to throw it away.

Had donner meal last night with fish. Batter on fish like cardboard...hardly any fish inside. Chips had lots of hard bits. Donner meat wasn't very warm. Service wasn't friendly. Wouldn't use again. Most ended up in the bin.

ordered a large mixed kebab and chips to recieve mixed meat in a tray with chips and most of the meat was lamb donner meat. The curry sauce was like water and the drinks I ordered were both warm and had to chill before drinking . no option for salt and vinegar. I doubt very much I'll order from here again

We had chips last night and and after having so many we had to throw them away they was raw and greesey and gave us diarrhea all night with very bad belly ache. Would not go there again.

Fantastic food, great value and friendly service. We ordered to standard emergency extra chips - as you do when trying a new chippy, We certainly didn’t need to! The food was delicious and the mini fish and chips was particularly good.

Really nice and the chicken kebab meat was spot on, the small fish was huge and the bag of chips was like a shovel full! Quenched my Monday blues/hangover. Would definitely order again, recommend to all, compliments to the chip shop.

First time ordering and given its NYE I’m impressed. Kinda expected a long wait but came bang on time. Absolutely stuffed with the amount of food (I had to sacrifice the salad lol ). The amount of fish the wife had was the most I’ve ever seen for a portion. Definitely ordering from here again.

Chips where hard and dry and the salad in the burger was dated didn’t taste nice at all.

Large curry sauce was a small at best, maybe I’m just a fatty and want more sauce? Everything was banging 🔥🔥

Always been brilliant in the past, this time though it wasn't good. The fish was rubbery with the batter soggy and the chips were undercooked.

We use Tilton Fish Bar at least 2x per month and it’s always great, friendly customer service and the food is always hot and fresh. Sometimes being nearby if we order delivery it arrives in 15-20 mins. Our preferred Chippy 👍

This is the fish and chip shop that we always use, they are always fast and the food is amazing as well as reasonably priced. I have never had a bad experience, I would highly recommend them.

All round terrible! Greasy chips, Luke warm peas and curry sauce (despite them being microwaved in polystyrene pot in front of us), watery consistency to both. Fish full of grease, clearly had been cooked for a while, nothing fresh or enjoyable about any of it. Had to throw them away - and was still left with a really unpleasant and greasy aftertaste. How does this place get customers?!

We usually love Tilton and haven’t really had a bad one until tonight. It arrived on time but the chips were only just warm, one of our fish the batter didn’t taste right and the meat in our kebabs were dry and like it had been left out all day. Also we found a part of a label in one of the kebabs. Just put us off completely and I don’t think we will be ordering for a while.

The food is absolutely amazing. The amount of chips is amazing for the price we are a large family of 7 and a large bag is enough for us all to have lots of chips and more. I wouldn't use any other chip shop. And the driver is lovely too. Really happy with our orders from here
