Busy McDonald’s, squeezed in next to a fuel station. Tight car park and drive-thru is not really big enough for the volume of traffic we witnessed. We chose to order in and ate outside. Good was served hot and quickly. Would use again.

Stay away from here. Becky Williams will have a 4 month affair with your fiancé when you share a 4 year old together, she will know you and your child exist, and proceed with him anyway. Not great for a company that prides itself on integrity and doing the right thing.

I tried to return my order, Becky put a used sanitary towel in my child’s happy meal because I said I didn’t want cold fries. Then served me a cup of warm greb. Very upset. 0/5. Kids crying thanks.

Very disappointing visit today, my server Becky was incredibly rude and made it clear I was not welcome. Becky at one point referred to me as a vegetable. I hope you understand how distressing this has been for me, I am seeking professional help for the mental scars Becky has left. Wouldn’t recommend this McDonald’s to anyone.

I'm not the biggest fan of fast food, but this is by far the best I have experienced. This is regular stop when travelling to South Wales. The food is always of a consistent high standard. It is usually busy, which can mean a bit of a wait (for fast food), but not unreasonable and well worth it.

Quite busy wish it was larger inside. But friendly and helpful staff. Kept it clean wiped tables as soon as empty. Toilets nice and clean. .

It is exactly what you expect to find. Same menu. Same environment. Ideal for a quick bite on the hoof.

Eaten here a number of times as it is in the perfect spot for anyone going from North England to South Wales. We always go through the drive through because the service is good and we get our food fast to keep driving. When I have been inside it seemed small but clean and tidy.

Absolute Disaster , probably the Worst McDonald's we have ever stopped at. Stopped over on route to the Midlands, lost almost an hour waiting or cold food, poorly packaged without any courtesy whatsoever. Retraining required as a matter of urgency. Nil points.

Best McDonald's I've had in ages. Fries hot, order correct and staff speedy and polite.

Food was nice and service good however it was so unclean, the toilets were disgusting. Used sanitary products over the floor in the ladies toilets due to the sanitary bins being over full, no toilet roll in two toilets which left one free, definitely not regularly checked and cleaned. Rubbish all on the floor too by the bins🤢

Go early in the morning and 50 50 as to whether the food has been sitting around and the bun has been over toasted. Generally ok but food can be alright rather than good

AVOID.. Bought a chicken burger in the drive through and found out they’d only gave me the bottom bun and the chicken halfway down the road . when i brought it back i heard the employees laughing in the back. Do not bother with this place.

The food was relatively good but a bit dry and rubbery at times, less salt on the chips than usual but just putting it down to the place being busy at the time

Very rude person on the kiosk. 19th March 20.30 pm Kiosk - yes ? " Hi can i have Quater pounder with cheese please " Kiosk -Drink ? "Coke" Kiosk -What else "Quaternary pounder not a meal please " Said the total and then nothing !!. When approached the window no conversation nothing just looking very grumpy and moody. No thank you.!!!!!!! The Chips and Quater pounder was cold when I got them. To annoyed to take it back and because they were so rude . Does not deserve 3 rating really . I would give them 1 . Please train your staff on customer service. And please check the temp of the food before goes out .

Don't usually rate McDonald's. But this one did stand out. Not sure how old it is, it certainly looked new. It was clean, the food didn't look like it had been thrown together. Also a big shout out for the lady who was cleaning the tables etc....what a great job.

Cold chips. 3 star hygiene rating. Worrying.

McDonald's has definitely gone downhill. Soggy fries, a tasteless McCrisp chicken burger. It filled the gap, but it wasn't tasty and certainly nothing to write home about!

Awful, will make every effort to avoid this branch.Absolutely no empathy with patrons,drive in service lamentable,food served eventually,cold,may have been ambient at point of order but by the time the order is filled any vestige of warmth completely absent. Cost of purchase refunded to payment card following complaint,but done with an air of intolerance,unlike other branches patronised where any complaints have been received with good grace and every effort taken to preserve the reputation. Be sure, will never set foot in Welshpool branch again. Could the management care less?Doubtful!!!

Well... Very disappointed, food was mishmashed together, they forgot my fries and although they gave me a large to compensate they were cold and salty. My big mac looked like they had just thrown all ingredients into the box and shut the box and my banana milkshake...well they must have had monkeys in as there was no banana flavour in my milkshake at all... Vanilla ice cream anyone?

Ten mins for cold food this morning, and greasy hash brown. They were too busy having a chat (I believe with the guy in charge) Let's clarify this was the drive through at 630 - don't have much hope doe anyone landing when it's busy Which is excellent news really, not used them for six months - this should gte I won't use them again

The usual McD. If one of the two burgers you order is not ready they make you wait - but they don't have the common sense not to prepare the rest of the order in advance - the result being my wife burger was stone cold.

Forgot parts of meals , returned to restaurant to pick food up had to wait and food was cold. So overall experience shocking Food awful Would rather travel 18 miles to the next town.

If you order a special order from here check it!! Last 3 special orders all wrong.

Ordered on app to spend points, quick and easy, no problems. Food was hot fresh and delicious, no problems.

Been a few times only had one good meal came today Big Mac and big stack horrible just warm only came again to see improvement can honestly say NONE you have to improve to keep customers.

It’s a McDonalds, you know what you’re getting. Had a fairly normal McMuffin meal here on my way to doing some mostly legal off road motorcycling in Wales. Took the egg off because it had that grey look to it. Ate the hash brown, which I’d rate a solid 7/10 on the hash brown scale. Service was very good, same bloke who took my order gave me my food and I also wonder if he made it too as he seemed to be the only staff member, but it was quite early in the morning on a Sunday.

without doubt one of the most badly run McDonalds i’ve experienced. i’ve been eating McDonalds since the early 80’s, back then the food was nice but it sure isn’t now. visited this place at least seven times since it opened, kept hoping that it would improve - it hasn’t. the place is dirty and messy. 1 star food rating says it all. 90% of the time the touch screen order system has a broken printer so you can’t get a receipt. orders missing basic items such as dips, straws and napkins are common. no matter what you order the food is never fresh - ever. i had the worst quarter pounder with cheese yesterday in 40 years of eating McDonalds. i took it back and complained, the blunt, rude, confrontational ginger haired female manageress replaced it with another cold stale mess of a burger. HDR cardiff who are the owners of this place are laughing all the way to the bank while customers fill their pockets. everyone just stop going to this absolute dump.

Food tasted really good however I've been twice now and my order has been wrong. The first time I went I was missing two hash browns and the second time I went I received two extra chips, the cheese and bacon burger was just a cheese burger. Food tasted really good

Me and my partner went to the drive thru yesterday, we only had 2 double cheeseburgers and 1 plain, only thing we ate all day and we have done nothing but be sick and toilet all day, great when it firsted opened, 👎👎👎👎

by far the worst maccies about , staff on decent money yet they can’t be arsed to get an order right , 9/10 times going there there’s something wrong on the order , foods always freezing cold and takes ages to get to you , only positive point is the front of store staff being friendly

Probably best McDonald’s I’ve had in a long time. Piping hot and staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Toilets were also extremely clean too.

Worst Mac Ds I've been to. The staff are so rude and have too much attitude it's after 11pm and in not in the mood for this sass. They didn't put the lid on the hot chocolate properly and it spilled all over the food. My fries were cold. My MC chicken big Mac did have enough sauce on it. And when I ask for more the woman looked at me like. How dare you ask for more. (Literally Oliver twist moment). And when you order 5 chicken selects. I want 5 like it says on the box. Not 4!

Ordered a mcplant meal at the drive through and when the food arrived opened the box to find a chicken burger in it. Took it inside to change it and was told it was a 'vegan' chicken fillet despite nothing like that being on the menu at all. They said they'd correct it and then tried to put the mcplant patty in the same bun and lettuce from the chicken burger despite it having additional toppings. Only cooked me a new burger when I pointed out what I saw them trying to do though. Make sure you always check your order before you leave!!!!!

Waited on the drive-through second window for over ten minutes, turns out they had lost my receipt. Food was cold when we eventually got it and we were missing the dips. Not good

I never ever leave review but this time was so unbelievably shocking. Ordered on app for collection, got to till, wasn't given chance to check order and it was put straight through on my card only to find out five pound had been added out of nowhere, when questioned manager says refunds can't be given from the app in store (🙄🤣) and explained there was nothing he could do to get my money back even though it was there fault. Cold food, no drinks, fly infestations bad service... we have put up the last few times but to take money that wasn't theirs and offer no refund is taking liberties Be really careful orerering on the app and make sure the cashier allows you to check your order before putting it through, wonder how many times this goes unnoticed. Food was stone cold as always even though it was 12 midnight and empty, avoid this McDonald's people you have Chirk and Shrewsbury depending on which way you come in, service, food and quality of staff way way better..

For a Mcds it has to one of the better ones. A bit of a wait for your order but its put together not thrown together like some Mcds

years ago McDonald's used to be a fast food place. this hasn't been the case in a long time. even slower since computer ordering came in. Welshpool has 1 star food hygiene. tasted ok though.

Sorry but this place still hasn't got it right, run out of stuff too many times, ice cream is hit and miss if machine is working or is hiring cleaned. The McDonald advert says they change things for improving but really nothing has changed for the better here, too many errors not enough training.

Premier Inn does what it says on the tin, clean and tidy room with their famous comfy beds. However the Wi-Fi was unusable, weak signal at best but kept dropping out. Room 124.

Drive thru most of the time is so slow it like waiting for a train ..and once you in line your stuck there until you eventually get served ..seriously making a doctor's appointmen is quicker the the drive thru at any time of the day

Flies absolutely everywhere. Getting orders wrong and making orders that weren't even there. Then throwing all that food away. Food probably the worst out of every McDonald's I've been to which is saying something. Definetly lives up to the food hygiene rating of 1.

Cold food, toilets unkempt, smell strong of urine, only toilet roll in one toilet out of 3. Slow service not 1 item was warm.

Slowest McDonald's I've ever been to. Nobody at the counter serving either. No loo roll, soap dispensers empty. No parking for large vans.

Stopped at Welshpool Mcdonalds on our holiday pit stop. Had a lovely meal. We reached our destination hours later only to realise that my little boy had left his favourite toy dog (who was coming on holiday with us) he was in tears! We rang Macdonalds in Welshpool- the staff were very kind and promised that he would be well looked after and kept safe in the office till we returned from our holiday. And he was! They even put him in a little box and the manageress (I think) made a big deal to my son when she brought it out. We stopped again to eat and food was lovely. Considering it was so busy it was a speedy service. Thanks for going above and beyond guys. Appreciate it.

Unfortunately we had to wait more than 20 minutes for our order. Lots of other customers were also complaining about the wait.

Small car park. Standards you would expect from a mcdonalds. One of last places to eat if travelling to mid Wales from Birmingham/ Shrewsbury. Slow service during busy times.

Stopped for a quick lunch and have always found Macdonalds are okay and consistent for what it is. This one was the worst we have ever been to. The service was slow, the chips were from lukewarm to cold and soggy. We only noticed also that the restaurant (loosely descriptive) had a rating of one for hygiene. We were so disappointed with the second attempt at the chips I went back in and gave the chips back and not to bother a third attempt at passable chips. My very strong advice is to give this Macdonalds a wide berth and go hungry. What are Macdonalds doing???

But one scam I've noticed latley, happened 3 times to me now from Welshpool is they keep giving diet coke even when you ask and pay extra for original, obvs naking extra money on the sly hoping people won't notice. Standard McDonald's. When nothing else is available on route then you can be sure to rely on McDonald's for food.

Whole place was covered in flys, we left our meals and went elsewhere. Watching flys land on your burger put us off. Won’t ever go back

It's McDonalds so the food is what you'd expect. I've called in to this branch a few times. Every time I visit the service is slow, guessing that's something to do with the staff laughing/joking in the kitchen (good that they're happy). Would be better for customers to see someone behind the counter working. Biggest issue is finding a clean table to sit at. It's a new premises but it's really grubby and dirty. Staff need training on how to use a broom and how to wipe the tables/seats. Won't be going back anytime soon. Update, visited again (12/09). Still very grubby/dirty. At least the flies were enjoying themselves.

We often call in when passing through, wasn't that surprised to see a 1 star rating on the door considering how dirty it had been of late, but clearly someone had been having words, floor, tables, windows and ledges we all clean, food was nice and warm table service was quick, let's hope the standard stays high as this McDonald's always used to have a great reputation.

Fast service to be fair. Chips were undercooked and looked pale as. Got a triple cheeseburger and burger and bun was split in half already. Member of my group had food poisoning from only eating chicken nuggets. Awful, do not buy food here

Just left this establishment,bombarded by flys at least 15 of the things flying around and landing on food, disgusting never seen so many in any food place ever, needs exterminators ASAP!!!!!
