McDonald's in Powys

Used to be so good but the last 6 months gone really downhill, never ever have stock, couldn't even eat the meal I had today it was that bad. But one scam I've noticed latley, happened 3 times to me now from Welshpool is they keep giving diet coke even when you ask and pay extra for original, obvs Making extra money on the sly hoping people won't notice. Last time I go to this one

whole place was dirty took them 30 minutes just for a burger meal and the food was burnt

Good location but parking can be a challenge on busy periods

This branch has gone downhill rapidly. In the last 3months I have never had a correct order in a timely manner.

Staff friendly but the service is slow Which comes from home delivery taking priority

The food tastes bloody awful! Taste like the oil hasn't been changed for years. My my 4 year old physically vomit. Sort it out.

Quick service and the food was hot and my order was correct . Clean store wit recycling stations instead of bins.

McDonald's is very good if you want a quick meal, although would not recommend if you have the time and money to dine at a restaurant

Didn't get all my order, and when asked for the missing bits, other staff were questioned instead of giving me missing food.

The service was terrible they kept getting all the food wrong and gave u only half of the right stuff and my rap wasn't even folded and just fell apart

Waiting 20 minutes to be told they were waiting on apple pies. When they arrived they were past there discard time and tasted like an Arabs creeper sandle . . Not impressed

Hot chocolate machine always empty. I aways ask please make sure the machine has chocolate in but always have to take my drink back

Had a driver through, staff pleasant enough. Food came reasonably in good time. There was a big que in the drive-through, but it didn't cause too much delay.

Burger was not hot and tasty. Coffee was very bad

The staff don't even lokk at you whilst serving.

Been a few times and normal leave happy. But unfortunately the last few times I've visited in the early hours of the morning I've been told the tills are updating and orders can't be taken for around 20 minutes. Obviously only a slight inconvenience but kind of defeats the object of being 24hours and wanting to grab a quick snack after work.

It's the dirtiest McDonald's we've ever been to. It wasn't even busy. The tables weren't cleaned between guests and the floor had food and napkins all over. On the plus side the toilets were clean and the food and drink excellent.

Quite a long wait to receive our food. Ordered within the screens servive and somehow still managed to get the burger wrong. When returned for rectification I had someone more concerned of whether i had proof of receipt rather than just fixing the mistake to which I also informed I did not have a reciept as the machine was not printing. Gave the order number, and that was the end of that conversation finally another girl looked at me with a new burger and asked " are you the complaint?!" To which I wanted to answer no I'm just the person who wants the burger that she ordered but not worth the effort. As someone who has worked at mcdonalds many years ago it's just a slight shame to see the lack of awareness/ lack of people skills.

Waited 25 minutes for an apple pie while employees chatted in the kitchen. Drinks were half full and had to go up and request ice. My sister went up and asked and they gave the pie over immediately.

Had a hot cup of milk instead of coffee for the 100th time.

So short of staff the drive through was 2mins. Staff that were there were brilliant.

Fed up of leaving things out the order. Yes they will refund yes they will replace and yes maybe check your order before you travel 15mins home but what’s the point in a drive through and internet order. Waste of time the whole operation.

Visited here, whilst over at the farmers market, and I was amazed at how clean the place was and how good the 2 "Older" members of staff were. They greeted the customers, said goodbye and even talked to us like we were humans. It's a vast improvement to the usual restaurants that employ kids that clearly don't want to be there or have any pride in their working environment. Honestly, well done to the two ladies and the place in general 👏

First time visiting as we was passing through nice and clean good service

I give two stars because when I visited with my disabled mother in law there was soap all over the disabled toilet floor. My 85 year old mother in law went to get out of the wheel chair and got soap all over her shoes, we managed to get her to the ladies loo's safely but the thought of falling stressed my Mother in law out so much she was in tears.

Stopped off after finishing work at 2.15am. Food pre ordered by my wife on the app. Big mac and a mayo chicken burger. Both were Luke warm at best. Mayo chicken was very tough to eat and my wife threw most of it away. Big mac was 4 / 10. As this was 2.25am in the morning, shouldn't the food be freshly cooked? I really don't think it was. Very disappointed.

The app was useless at this location, many people were having issues. Service was hit and miss. My friends were served and eaten before I had my meal and I ordered standard menu food. Coffee was sat too long and had gone cold, mcflurry's had melted.

22:00 picking partner up needed a quick meal. Quarter pounder and fries. They served me nasty stale cold fries l, took them back and ten seconds later a bigger box of nasty cold fries. I the asked for hot fries freshly made and they produced edible food. At £7 the least you can expect is fresh prepared food

Good place for a quick snack and coffee

Worst Maccies I've ever had, simple really. Philly cheese stack was cold, no pickles, no crispy onions. Fries were cold. Messed our order up and had put the wrong burger in one of the happy meal boxes. Good job we have no allergies! Missed the quarter pounder with cheese off the order but brought the chips and drink for that meal?! I'd avoid and go in the garage to Greggs next time.

I use this Mc D several often especially in the mornings. Food always hot. Usually place is fairly clean and I rarely have to wait long for my food. Only issue I have is the car park which is often full at busy times.

01.00 and it's closed again as normal wast of time coming here it's not 247 only open when they feel like it this is a part time place

Food was all there for a change although did take a while to get the food after ordering.

Fries were hard and not fresh or hot. Coca-cola original was the best I’ve had from this McDonald’s. McChicken sandwich was flat and to be honest lettuce was more outside the sandwich than inside it. I won on the monopoly but I didn’t claim my free quarter pounder with cheese or mcplant lol as saw wall of order waiters and no one serving at the front counter. I’ll be back 🤖

Ordered a big mac it was cold cappuccino was luke warm had the big mac replaced for another like warm one not very good experience at all

Hate to give negative feedback but the speed of service is dreadful. 15 minutes for a big mac meal is unacceptable.

Tables had not been cleaned or floor swept and Toilets were smelly and soap dispenser broken

Food wasn't nice hot chocolate didn't taste anything like a hot chocolate. The knife and fork they give you to eat pan cakes with are useless and all staff were to busy talking in the back to serve customers even the manager after seeing customer was waiting carried on talking Went today 3rd September only bought 5 milkshake the kids wanted try the new one all 5 ended up going in the bin no taste to them what so ever

Flies everywhere. We decided to move from the restaurant to our car to finish our meal, we left the serviettes as they were stuck to the table.

AVOID THIS MCDONALDS. “24 hour services” is a complete and utter lie. Been here multiple times in the early hours only to see staff inside with the door locked. The staff seem to pick and choose when they want to be open? Very professional I know. Food service takes about a year and you have more chance at winning the lottery twice in a row than them getting your order right. Drive to Newtown instead please!

You Know what you get, had to wait 10 mins for the breakfast menu, which would have been nice if the staff had just not been so rigid about timings, other than that they were professional and polite

It was very busy (last Friday of a holiday week and late afternoon), so the drive thru was rammed. We were served quickly inside though, but the banana milkshake looked like there was strawberry in it. Not an issue for us, but could be for others.

Burgers were absolutely thrown together ketchup everywhere don't seem to matter which maccies you go to either, maybe it's part of the training?

Asked for 2 medium meals and when took them home we had this chips like cardboard and cold . Not even half full disgusting. Waited half an hour !!

Second time I’ve picked up an order, got home and found things ordered and paid for not in the bag. Poor disappointing attention during your service.

It's probably one of the worst McDonald's I've been to. Missed off a drink off my order. Oh, and on 18 chicken nuggets, someone needs to count. The lady next to me was also missing food from her drive-through order. How hard can it be to get the correct food ? It's even printed out for them.

Lovely place , beautiful surrounding, easy to access while travelling through wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. I order my favourite drink. Service was quick and staff ware polite and friendly.

Toilets and seating area filthy with bins in the cafe area and bins in women’s toilets overflowing on to the floor , felt too dirty inside so we had our food in the car instead. Disgusting place.

We planned to stop here on our way home from our family holiday. Unfortunately I didn't think to look up the scores on the doors. We later found they were 'satisfactory' but they were FAR from satisfactory! We had to dine in as unfortunately our car was too squashed. It was soon apparent that the restaurant is infested with flys as they are everywhere and it's easy to see why. Tables have remnants of food on and are left dirty, there's food left on the floors making easy meals for them and we saw a bin with a rubbish bag just left sitting next to the bin. Ordering boards are clearly not sanitised regularly as they're covered in finger marks and the whole place generally looks dirty and uncared for. There are flys under every table, landing on surfaces and landing on each other. 🤢 All toilet areas stink of urine and without soap in the mens, plus the lock on the accessible toilet is broken. Toilets too contain flys. Unfortunately all of this only dawned on us after ordering our food which was OK but left me queasy to think of the possible kitchen situation given the situation with flys in the eating area. The restaurant itself is tiny with far to many customers to serve its purpose safely. The car park is equally unfit for purpose being just as small. Very silly decisions considering the restaurant is situated on a major trunk road through Wales. On leaving we saw bins overflowing all around the car park. We paid just over £30 for what was was supposed to be a lovely treat with the kids and which actually turned out to be a health risk. This place needs immediate inspection and face sanctions until it can be run competently with care without risk to public health. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. ⚠️ 🪰 ⛔️ 🤮

It's McDonald's so it is what it is, staff were nice and helpful and food was the usual average, only go for the kids tbf

Called in on the way home from a day out for something quick but had to wait for half an hour or more before we had out food. Two of the ordering points were not working, nobody at the till to order and the place was covered with rubbish and food on the floor and the bins were overflowing. The food came with the fries Luke warm and the burgers had been standing for some time waiting to come out. There was a shortage of staff we understand but sitting and waiting for our food to come we saw so many people turning around and going out without ordering. very disappointing compared to other branches we have been to.

Looks new but quite dirty inside, and toilets all damaged. Long queues even at non-peak times. Small car park and with drive thru passing through the car park, can be hard to get in and out, not a great stop.

Quick service, always have oasis to drink, staff super friendly, only grumble is hand dryers they don't work properly

The food was hot, tasty and delivered to the table within a very short time. However the public areas were filthy. We had to clean the table and benches ourselves while staff looked on. The gents washroom was in a terrible state. Floors and surfaces along the bottom of the windows in the food hall were dirty and staff seemed totally oblivious. A very poor experience. We should have ordered a take out to consume in the car. I will not visit this McDonalds again.
