McDonald's in Southend-on-Sea

Worse experience ever, had to wait 10 mins to b able to park as all the delivery drivers were taking up spaces in car park, machine messed up n didn't give receipt, lovely lady found my order, burger buns so. Burnt the kids refused to eat them, burgers Luke warm, won't rush back

Sat at the drive through for ages. Staff ok. Collected our order, after getting half way down the road we noticed items missing. No dips , and no burger in the happy meal. We was also given the wrong McFlurrys.. I understand when it’s busy things may go amiss but this seems to happen more often than not.. One day we may return, but very much doubt it. Shame.

My daughter and her friend attempted to go in this evening to buy a milkshake after finishing netball practise at 5pm. They weren’t allowed through the door because they were in school uniform. I received a phone call from my daughter, went down and spoke with the duty manager who said that what she had told me is correct and that is the rule made up by Jemma Verrall (the manager). It turns out it is Cecil Jones students that are not allowed in there in uniform, all the other schools are. Totally discriminating against these students! Yet the same students could go home and get changed and then go in! Same children, different clothes! Two other staff members joined in my conversation, I’m not sure why, I had asked to speak to the manager not them and at one point both of them were smirking and laughing behind their masks. I told them that you cannot tar everyone with the same brush and punish good kids for the way the bad ones behave and was told that’s the way it is, the bad ruin it for the good! What a terrible attitude to have, what motivation does this give the good children if they are punished anyway. I was also told that the school made up this rule also but when I called the school and spoke to the head teacher, he advised me this is not the schools policy and he has raised his concerns also with McDonald’s and their head office but they have ignored him. I don’t condone abuse towards staff or other children/members of the public but I will not accept that good children are punished as well as bad children in life. I shall be taking up this discrimination with McDonald's head office as clearly this restaurant thinks this is acceptable.
