McDonalds in East Riding of Yorkshire

Warm drinks(no ice?!!!), cold food , that's McDonalds the Shiptonthorpe way 👌 NO ICE ? OK , THEN TELL ME AT THE ORDERING STAGE , NOT WHEN I AM COLLECTING AT THE DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW?!!!!

We called for takeaway yesterday. Got back to my house in Market weighton. Everything was stone cold. Chips.cheeseburgers. half a portion of chips in one. Wrap was missing too. I spent £21 TO THROW IT IN THE BIN. ITS NOT THE 1ST TIME EITHER. thought we would give benefit of the doubt. WE WONT BE ISING YOUR RESTAURANT AGAIN AND WILL BE BAD MOUTHING YOU. YOUR A DISGRACE

Usually pass through here to grab lunch between meetings and is always great. However, my experience today was fantastic. There had been a crash further up the road which had closed my route to my next meeting. I returned to the store and explained I had no charge or way to contact who I was meeting. A lovely lady (who I didn’t even get the name of!) immediately helped me and helped me charge my phone, borrow phone to call who I needed and allowed me privacy. I am sorry I can’t name staff in particular but it really was a silver lining to a bad day so thank you!

It's a drive through. Or so i thought? I only had to get out of my car twice this time to go back for missing parts of my order!!! Absolute joke! How difficult can it be to put the correct items in a paper bag ??!! Especially when you know that ..... IT'S FOR THE DRIVE THROUGH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Early morning breakfast stop here on the way to Wales. Not busy at 7 am on a Saturday, and we were able to order quickly and easily through the screens inside. Freshly cooked to order, I enjoyed pancakes and sausage with a latte, while husband enjoyed a wrap and white coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One of the nicer locations

I could tell that the food in the paper bag was cold when the server passed it to me! This drive through is ridiculous! The number of times I have had to get out of the car and walk back to the 'restaurant'. ITS A DRIVE THROUGH!!!!! Who runs this place? (Or doesn't!)

Use the drive through regularly with my young daughter. Food ok, it is what it is. But how difficult is it to remember to put ketchup (that we ordered at the start!!) and napkins? (it's a drive through, we eat it in the car!!!) I have had to get out of the car and go back to the window so many times, which kind of defeats the object of a drive through doesn't it!!??

I went for a brisk walk to McDonald’s in shiptonthorpe. I was craving a chocolate milkshake and went I arrived to ask for one, the person serving me, called Josh, said that we have no milkshakes, I was co operative and so I said that is fine however when will they be restored. He responded by “how the **** should I know.” I was in a state of terror, this boy spoke to me in such a manner that saying “unprofessional” was an understatement. I would like to one who employees this I’ll mannered boy?

Stopped off on the way to holiday, for milkshake the lady serving us was fantastic.Giving the children flags and colouring activities.

I visited McDonalds last Saturday with my two young boys , my youngest had just woken up in the car so he was very unsettled and wingy. I was greeted by a young girl called Emily frank ( I asked for her name and full name ) she was fantastic the best customer service Ive ever received. As I was ordering she distracted my children so I could order and then took us to our table. She was really good with my children , my eldest age 5 was telling Emily about his holiday that it got all ruined and we had to leave the holiday early. She then went beyond and surprised us with a mcflurry. It really made our day and cheered us all up especially my children it really was so lovely of Emily and the management team to offer us a free McFlurry. Not only that Emily offered to clean the table after we had eaten. I will definitely be returning to your shiptonthorpe branch again. Big Thankyou !!!!! And Emily you made our evening 5 star customer service

It is what is is, but friendly, fast, hot and nearly always spot on. We had an issue once and they gave us the food and a refund

So we went through the drive through tonight and had a very rude man at the window. My older brother who has many types of disability’s was driving this was his first time in a long time coming out the house and he was spoken to by a rude chap who said to my brother as he was counting his money out to pay for his McDonald’s NO NEED TO TAKE THE PISS NOW. This is wrong! 1. Bad customer service 2. Inappropriate language to a customer 3. He shouldn’t be working with people if he can’t deal with them and be patient. This guy needs speaking to what a rude man.

We're not regular McDonald's customers, just now and then. We used the drive through on the way home from Scarborough. It was all fine for us - two very reasonably priced meals.

I went and they had no food selection then i got a chicken legend with hot and spicy mayo and they gave me this cranberry sauce stuff instead so that whole thing went in the bin. Waste of money and now i’m starving marvin.

Have visited around 5 times over the last yeae through the drive through 3 times kids were sick later that night and 1 time the order was wrong. Not the only person this has happened to either

Scammers went today ordered a large black coffee on loyalty Card . No cant have large just reg. So i buy six large black coffees. Use card but no the the robbng McDonald's say No ! You can only have a Reg. So ive paid extra for large and the difference ive bought me Regular. What a load of robbing so and so's So just buy regular. Because the crappy sales team will scam you . Bet still dont buy it .

Visit here at least once a month,, always good and often busy, main route between the East Coast and the Motorway, handy for a stopping off to take a break

Difficult to review the food, you rather like it or you don't. The service can be very good or alarmingly bad. Rarely go in, use the drive through which they manage to get wrong far too often.

Called here heading South back home on a very busy Bank Holiday Monday. Staff were all smiling all happy, giving balloons out to kids...I wanted one! Very quick and efficient. Staff are a credit to the brand!

Called in for quick snack. As expected it was busy, but ordered using new fangled order system which is great, can take time to mull over menu. Order filled quickly, and I commented to the missus that I think McDonald's have really upped their game by a lot. The place is modern, clean, and I found I wasn't racing to get away. Food was good and I think I will be using McDonald's again more readily than I would have expected. Nice one.

Popped in here earlier this month for a drink from the mccafe range, only to find the drinks machine was not working. Opted for and ice cream to cool down. Little disappointed the drinks unavailable, and the ice cream was already starting to melt. Not the usual experience for here, but still clean, with friendly staff.

Had a quick breakfast stop, friendly staff and quick service. Food was as ordered and hot and added bonus cheaper has had a voucher

Popped here to satisfy our fast food fix before joining family in Suffolk for the weekend. Busy, but always greeted by friendly staff who are happy to help. Burger meal for son, wrap meal for husband and just an ice cream for me as too hot! Good value food, reasonably priced.

Stopped here after a dance comp. Nice big car park . Always busy and great service. Food always fresh and hot . Very popular place.

Typical McDonald's but situated in the country, handy if that is your scene, it was the last thing we expected situated where it was.

The restraurant is well positioned and was on our way as we travelled. We called several times for ice cream as it was a hot weekend.

Lovely food , very hot and tasty ; all staff efficient and polite and it was nice to see an obviously new ; very young member of staff being patiently trained by another young person even though the shop floor was extremely busy .

We thought we would pop in for an easy snack.The speed of service was very quick considering the queue but the quality of the bread roll was very poor.They were very stodgy so I won’t be returning.

Called with Grandchildren, great service and lovely atmosphere, clean, with tasty food. Been several times before, always good.

Seems to have gone off the boil recently, had cold food too many times, no consistency with products , recently complained in store regarding cold food, handled dreadfully, but credit to the owner he dealt with it quickly and efficiently and gave a full refund, shame this place doesn't have much competition to keep it on its toes,

Come on guys it's not that difficult. I understand that this is fast food at a low price but a bit of quality control wouldn't go a miss

We call here regularly when passing en-route home for an easy, quick bite. Admittedly it's 'only' a McDonalds but the food is always fresh and tasty. There is a convenient touch screen ordering system to avoid queuing, with table service.

Parking plentiful with over spill car park . Very clean and used self service food good Petrol station with well stock shop chilled beer's

My husband popped here as we had been nearby walking part of the Yorkshire wolds way. Plenty of parking early on a Sunday, there were plenty of seats available both inside and out. Our order was taken quickly and we took our seats to enjoy an iced frappe and milkshake. The restaurant has had a refurbishment and was clean and tidy, with plenty of staff on hand if needed. Staff were friendly and polite.

I regularly drop in to this particular McDonald's. Really efficient ordering system. The food is delivered to your table. Often lovely, more mature member of staff is on shop floor - ready to help with disposing of rubbish, and a friendly smile. Warm and cosy atmosphere. What's not to like?

Call here every fortnight on our way to family at scarborough. It as to be one of the worst systems ever. Place ur order then stand about 10 mins just waiting for 2 drinks u can see stood on the shelving. Not enough staff sorting in store customers seems to be all drive Thro. Staff are not bad but service is terrible very slow. This system needs reverting back to how it used to be. Fast food!!! I rest my case.

Ordered through drive through at half 1 today (20.11.12) and a female staff at the pay section rudely told us that in future we need to tell her when we placed our order at the voice box (we had free drink coupon).

New style McDonalds, food was hot and fresh, staff were polite and pleasant! Lovely clean restaurant, as expected from the company

We are not in the habit of eating at Mcdonalds but called in on the way home from a day out with our grandchildren. We were just figuring out how to use the computer screen to order when a staff member came to make sure we were managing and explained the procedure in detail. We ordered our food which was delivered to our table, a novel experience in Mcdonalds and a great idea to save queuing. I was impressed to see the tables being cleared and cleaned promptly and staff even checking the chairs to make sure they were clean.I would certainly return if we were passing, even without the grandchildren.

This road was missing a good place to snack after the little chef closed down The site is always clean and very fast service ,love e computer order panels and 21st century queuing system

I know it's McDonalds but this one has always provided a good standard, HOT, fast food whenever we've been. Staff are always nice and helpful (were the ones ask for extra sauce). Clean & well kept interior - fresh food.

Decided to pop into this McDonalds as we were travelling back from the coast. Very clean modern looking restaurant with new electronic ordering system. Great idea so you can order check and pay all in one go. The food is delivered to where you are seated. Food as expected from a McDonalds.

A new McDonalds where they bring the food to your table like a "proper" restaurant. The problem is the staff don't remember to do that? Other than that it's normal McDonalds which in my view is no bad thing. Plenty of parking and garage next door so good mid journey stop on the way to the East Coast.

Popped in here on way back from Hull staff were v friendly and helpful toilets v clean service b quick we sat outside on clean picnic benches plenty parking

Sat outside at this clean McDonnald's. Friendly staff. Used the self ordering system and was relatively quick

Traveling to York, decided to go through the drive through, sat waiting for over five minuets, got our drinks first, the two milkshakes had spilt out the outside of the container making them very sticky, finally got our food, well chips only, burgers and wrap missing so had to get out of the car and go in to collect them and surprise surprise, when we unwrapped stone cold!!

Clean and recently refurbished to the new format. Food was fresh and hot. Parking close by and petrol station adjacent

Great example of the modern day McDonald's staff are friendly and helpful. My favourite Crew Member is Terri who always has a warm smile for you and is always busy when we go in but still is polite. I think opening where you did has benefitted not only Shiptonthrope but other villages and Towns in the area by providing jobs for young people who other wise would have to move always. It also benefits those travelling and we often stop just for coffee or a McFlurry.

Popped in for a quick evening meal - fast and easy ordering via a touch screen. Burger was freshly cooked, lettuce crisp and fresh, McFlurry was filled to the top of the cups (not like our local branch who fill halfway!)

visited whilst travelling from york to grimsby. clean and tidy and food was well cooked and presented. only downside is their new collection system which is slow and awful

If you like McDonalds and want to eat quickly, this is a perfectly acceptable spot. It can get busy, but there's an on-screen ordering facility as well as the usual counter.

Situated alongside the roundabout where the York Road from Hull crosses the Bridlington Road from Howden.... This outlet has been refurbished to include a self ordering system so rather than being greeted by a member of staff you are welcomed by a computer....How caring.... Order placed then wait 5 minutes.... I thought it was meant to be "Fastfood", I think not. I wouldn't have minded but the restaurant wasn't busy, if this is the way forward I will try elsewhere when travelling to York.
