Always good value and good food

Literally my favaourite chicken shop in all of Britain, I know taste is personal, but this place helped me beat my McDonald's addiction, and that's saying something. I'd rather have this once a week for the rest of my life than ever go to McDonald's again. The Hen House wrap is amazing, their dips are wonderful, the price is perfect. Can't rate them highly enough. I've been going for months and they never disappoint.

Haven't been for a while as it wasn't very good at my last visit. Well what a shock the chicken was fresh and hot and tasty and the chips perfect, shall defo be back keep it up guys you will outdo k.f.c.

Decided to give this place a try I’m glad I did I got the chicken strip meal very tasty and hot chicken was not dry chips was nice and crispy will defo be back again would defo recommend

Excellent take away. The chicken is great. I always opt to go in to the shop and order my food because the food quality seems to be better when you actually go in rather than get it delivered. Would definitely recommend.

Used to enjoy this place but last time we ordered they missed off part of the meal and took another 40minutes to deliver now this time they have missed off a full meal! How? Can't refund because they don't know how?? Never done it before. What rubbish. Gone down hill fast.

Just used henhouse for the first time and have to say it was really good the fries were nicely seasoned and chicken strips were very tasty better than KFC in my opinion coleslaw very creamy and tasty too the lad who served me was very friendly and chatty and the shop looked very clean will deffo be goin back and would recommend to anyone

This place is way to expensive for what you get food is bland salty chicken and 250 for mini fillet that was mainly bread if you want decent chi cken go to kfc it's cheaper and taste alot better won't be going back

The garlic mushrooms were still frozen cold they had completely forgotten to cook them!!!!!

Took them 3 hours to deliver our order. Everytime we called they didn’t care just kept saying it won’t be long we’re busy. Even got the food and drinks wrong. We could have gone somewhere else for less time and better food Absolutely terrible service tonight really disappointed.only got one star cos I had no choice

Food was beautiful as always, we dont normaly have any problems however our order was 1 hour and 20 mins, when I rang to see were it was the your girl on the phone was rude and abrupt her reply was were busy!

What a joke this place is why bother saying u deliver wen u always say ur to busy and then u get cut off lol they definitely lost a regular customer this time all because my car is in the garage

Ordered with them, they accepted, made us wait the full 45 min delivery time before they cancelled the order because we was too far away apparently. Even though when we put our postcode in Foodhub they showed up and accepted in the first place

Ordered tonight we had ordered three meals, which we had to wait over an 1hr. The wrap was missing from one meal which then took over a further 1hr. Not worth the wait.

All the time problems with them. And today fried chicken was disgusting ((( that's was last time, when I ordered from there are...

Never had problem with this place n love the chicken. But tonight I ordered at 8pm. Its now 9.30pm and I'm still waiting for it. Kids are hungry

Ordered over an hour ago, no food, went to the establishment we cooking now, not acceptable and I paid and got charged, not getting a refund

Always don't have the product you want ... always try fobbing you off with other things that you ain't asked for.. no matter the time or so why not cook enough!!!! Or have enough stock in!!!! Joke needs to sort it out... not the first time this as happened!!!!

Loyal customer but the food and service has gone downhill in the past year. Food quality is now very poor, my orders are always wrong. Only thing good worth mentioning is the delivery drivers ( friendly and well spoken )

I've just ordered a meal from hen house its disgusting its freezing cold chicken & chips safe to say i will not be using this place again it took ages to come too. It might be busy but there is no excuse for cold food

Really love the chicken from here. Me and my partner order from here regularly. Only thing I would change is the gravy as when we ordered it we received beef gravy instead of chicken.

There's some real bargains to be had with their meal deals

As close to kfc as you will get in Google decent price for what you get my fav is 5pc strip meal very good value 👌

Seen some old reviews make this place sound bad. I love the chicken from here. Delivery is always quick and I’ve never had a bad one. I order straight off there own webpage spot on

We tried this place when it first opened and it wasn't to bad however as time has progressed its gotten worse and worse to the point that the last order we made went straight in the bin. The order was incorrect, it was cold, the outer covering of the chicken was just falling off and it tasted like old fat, like it had been cooked in old fat. It was so bad the dog even turned her nose up at it and she loves chicken! We were so excited at the thought of a cheaper option the KFC, a more accessible place that would be like KFC and we were thoroughly disappointed with what we got. A place we'll never use again unless it's bought out and the food improves drastically. (I'd of left this review earlier, but didn't know where to leave one until I found this page today)

Only 2 stars for not keeping the delivery times. Ordered over one hour ago, when the delivery shows 45mins. Called them up, and they said its gonna be another 15 mins. I said I can come and collect then as I need my chickens, so after they confirmed, I went to get it, but when I got there they said it is not ready yet! Waited 10 more minutes and they said to wait another 10. They wasted about 45 min of my time. Think it was the last time I ordered. Not recommended if you have things planned. Food good though.

First time I've used hen house, it was spot on,the chicken delicious. Will be using again .

I ordered from Foodhub food was over 1 hour myself and Children was hungry when we opened the box food was cold Disappointing 😌

Reasonable pricing and very comparable to KFC, this was my daughters choice of food for her birthday while in lock down 🎂😋 Available to order online, by phone and inside. Parking can be scarce depending on the time

I’ve noticed the reviews are not very recent and all I can think is that it has since changed owners because I went this week for the first time ever and the food was absolutely amazing. I will be definitely going again I just really hope it’s not a hit and miss place because my first visit was the best takeaway chicken I’ve ever had

Ordered got told 40 mins delivery now 1h30m still no food trying to call to cancel order 72x and still cant get thru

Sadly after the loss of chicken city Goole was left with a big chicken sized hole. Hen house filled that hole. Not sure what's gonna happen if kfc finally opens though.

Ordered £20 worth of food using the Apple App. Said it would take 45 mins for local delivery (Why???) Food eventually arrived over an hour later and was almost stone cold. It was inedible and very salty, it went in the bin (I wouldn’t even give it to my dogs) Chips were soggy/excessively greasy and undercooked. Sorry Hen House but we have deleted your App as will NOT be using you again. Would recommend anyone to move on to an alternative eatery.

I ordered 2 cheeseburger box meals which are meant to come with sauce ie gravy etc. No sauce received with meals dissapointing!

Not a bad place do things similar to a KFC but not as good. Although it was better than expected. Been a few times. Annne walker

Me and my friend ordered food to be told it was going to be 30/40 minutes. No food turned up after waiting 45 mins, as we rang up we got told they tried to deliver the food 45 minutes ago, when we only ordered it 1 hour ago. So they was clearly making it up. to then be told they brought it back to hen house and didn’t tell us. So we’ve been waiting for this meal that hasn’t turned up. Very disappointing, and let down. Would not recommend going here at all.

We got a delivery from here . A family feast of 8 pieces with beans and gravy. The chicken was so greasy that the skin and southern fried coating fell off - the beans were cold and watery and the gravy was just powdered from a packet ! I would not recommend this place and certainly never use again !!!!!

Order wrong and Luke warm food delivered this teatime, chicken burger rubbish. Last time I order food from hen house. Very disappointed ☹️

Ordered our meal, 20 minutes later half the order delivered luke warm and wrong, waited a further 25 minutes for second part to come. Chicken burger poor and again luke warm best part of meal can of pop, very disappointed won't be using them again 😟

Best food I recommend the food to everyone, the people are friendly and the delivery is very fast and they friendly as well.

ordered a meal on line for the family using the just eat website all went through ok and said our meal would be delivered for 6pm. At 6.15pm still no meal checked emails to have received one to say they had cancelled our order due to been busy or closed. I think if that they were that busy you shouldn't be able to order off line and a message should be put on to say so. So now I'm having to sort tea out for the kids that are now disappointed that there not getting there meal.

It used to be cluckin' brilliant! now its cluckin' awful!
