McDonald's in Darlington

Appalling service. How can it take so long to be served in an empty restaurant? Orders are always wrong too. I shouldn’t have to check my order every time either. It’s not rocket science. I’d accept failings during busy periods but this is all the time.

Food small portions, large price! Better off going to an independent takeaway.

The atmosphere is much better since the new renovation, however, the food doesn't seem to be at the quality that I would like it to be. I know it's McDonald's but still can't there be a decent burger? The fries are pretty good. One thing I have noticed is in all McDonald's they have staff walking around asking you if you're okay and it's okay if they ask you once but if they keep coming back to the table you feel like, can you give me a break please? Overall not a bad one but not really keen on the quality of the basic burgers. Update: The last 4 times I have been in the burgers are dry and the fries don't taste good. I'm spoiled I suppose because I know what a good McDs tastes like and it is engrained in my memory, so it falls short every time.

Very bad experience ordered for 2 mcspicy but got one order wrong has chicken sandwich init with mcspicy box.

Going throught the drive through is an absolute nightmare. Service is always slow and half the time you have to get parked. I have been a mcdonalds worker before and I feel like I can say this but those in the 1st window who take the payments should be able to do 2 things at once as it's not very difficult

I should stop buying at a corporation that does not hire enough staff to perform basic functions.

Slow service with horrible attitude from the staff

Was terrible. Told to go park on a bay even tho they where all full then waited for 20 minutes no one came with the food had to go in and ask what was going on then waited further 10 minutes till they gave the food to me. Would not come here

Pretty new one has a drive-through, fast enough service, and fairly big. Helpful and friendly staff.

Food was cold, hot chocolate like fish water

Shockingly bad service… staff look beyond miserable and god forbid you want to pay at the counter. Extremely slow too

I will avoid using McDonald's for delivery given the reoccurring problems with this store. Somewhere along the line, they have a thief and coincidentally when they are challenged and asked to check their CCTV, it just so happens to be unavailable. Before this store was refurbished, we had countless orders that was missing items. Post refurbishment, it has started again. Our latest order is missing three items and the store don't want to know! In terms of what was delivered this evening, it was barely warm. Considering what McDonald's charge including their additional service charge, I expect far better than what we have experienced today and of late. In future if we want a delivery, we will order from a local independent store in Darlington. Someone, somewhere has, pardon the pun, got their fingers in the till.

Worst McDonald's ever, 20 mins to get a burger if eating inside, they are focused on Just Eat collection and Drive mainly. However, I did get an apology once the food was ready.

Whenever I go to drive through early in the morning it's says its shut ,but if you walk in its not its open, but no staff to be seen I just order on the screen and then the only time you see someone is when they bring the so called order out .Also its usually empty but the place is a mess uncleaned tables etc and long wait for order .I ordered chicken salad and got a box full of soggy lettuce with one piece of chicken on top , Ive never had such a poorly prepared meal from mcdonald's ever this place is a joke I ate the chicken and binned the rest,you have to wonder if the staff are up to the job of cooking and serving food and worst bit is you can no longer see the the kitchen part so for all we know it could be as untidy as the rest of it. Update Bought a double cheese burger on the 29 sept 2024 it was disgusting dried up and cold added a the photo things are not improving at this mcdonald's you expect more for the prices they charge these days

Order arrived without fries, which I don’t get how because it was 2 meal consisting of 3 items. Both meals were missing fries and both the drinks just tasted of soda water so the machine is obviously broke. I Paid for 2 meals got 2 burgers

Ordered a single sausage egg McMuffin and a double sausage and egg both with no egg and the single come with no sausage just egg and cheese I am allergic to egg so now I can’t eat it

thought it was nice to get a maccies before my match.. 12 minutes later my dad went in and apparently it was just "sat there" . Now currently running late for my match warmup.

Ordered at 9:33 for the food to be delivered 45 mins late. Food was freezing cold and so were the drinks

Incorrect food in the delivery , disappointing that it was a just eat who get the blame but was a McDonald's staff member who packed it up and should have read the receipt correctly

it finally took two an half hours for my food to arrive.when it got here everything was inedible as it was so cold.my delivery time changed four times.A total waste off money as it was seriously too cold to eat.contacted the store who were very unhelpful I didn't even receive an apology for the wait.

Burger and nuggets tasted fine but were lukewarm at best. Fries were cold and chewy - awful.

So my last review is below, been again today, and what a shambles, ordered and waited, saw my order shown as ready and then disappeared. Had to go to an speak to them to get it made so no idea what happened to my food initially but they either didn't make it but said they did, or did make it and gave it to someone else. Really poorly organised to the point where I'm waiting excessively long for my order and its been messed up on my last 2 visits.

Terrible service, ordered a mozzarella share box and a chicken mayo in our order and the chicken mayo was missed off and a bag of 3 mozzarella sticks was sent so re ordered the share box and they sent the bag of 3 again. Really bad …

Well my order says it’s been delivered but it hasn’t!!!

The woman was sat in the car doing her makeup for 20 mintutes and then spoke to us like it wad our fault and she said i didnt give the adress but she was outside the house and she was sat in the car looking over and was very rude.

All the food was cold. Chips were chewy, tasted like they'd been sat around for ages. Also ordered 2 Apple Pies; these were cold and on the sticker, it said there were made two hours before we ordered and had to be discarded 10mins before we received our order. One order was wrong as well, but got refund for this from JustEat.

This was the worst food i have ever tasted from mc donals. Fries were not cooked and the burger was vile.

Quick delivery and good food but the fish fingers were missing from the happy meal,luckily we got some free chicken nuggets.
