I recently had the pleasure - or rather, the test of endurance - of stopping by the McDonald’s at Lakeside Parkway for a quick breakfast. “Quick” being the operative word, which I soon realised was not in this locations vocabulary. I was assigned to the second drive thru lane and told to “wait,” which I did, patiently… while watching three cars zoom past in the first lane like they were auditioning for “Fast and Furious: Breakfast Rush.” Eventually, my order was taken, and after what felt like enough time to compose an epic poem on patience, I received my meal. I had hoped that the extra wait time was them lovingly crafting my food to perfection. Unfortunately, my hash browns were more ‘cold potato disappointment’ rather than ‘crispy morning joy’. Now, I usually check my order, but this time I was lulled into a false sense of security by the tantalising smell of ‘almost’ warm food. My mistake. I had treated myself to a toffee latte, an upgrade that set me back a whopping 30p (no need to alert my bank manager but still…). However, when I finally took a sip, it was just a regular latte with no hint of toffee. I know it’s just 30p, but I was hoping to spend the extra money to experience a small delight, not a grand letdown. So, in summary: slow service, cold food, and a missing toffee latte that left me questioning where I went wrong in life to deserve such punishment. Should anyone else dare to venture here, I’d advise managing your expectations - perhaps even lowering them significantly. In the future, I’ll pack a breakfast, or maybe just a blanket and pillow for the wait. Would I return? Perhaps - but only with low expectations and a thermos of my own toffee latte.

Fantastic service, the staff were very kind and sang happy birthday to my daughter when I told them it was her birthday. The young man was very kind and the staff are a credit to the company.

Ordered food from just eat, when driver delivered, drink had no lid on, spilling in hallway,and wetting food in the 2nd bag,tried to tell driver they don't care,I'm not doing this for a refund, what happened to customer service or basic common sense, no wonder the chain is suffering, will definitely not be ordering again, online or in store, once again thanks for ruining my meal

Absolutely shocking. Waited half an hour for food, didn't seem to be getting food in any sort of order, was ignored by staff twice, wrong sauce was given and food was cold.

Cup of tea was made with cold water. They said they would bring the apple pies over but they never materialised

Waited 30 minutes for breakfast today. Asked to see manager to complain. A young girl with bad attitude appeared and said sorry but we’re busy. There was hardly anyone in and no queues in drive through. Unacceptable wait and was late back to work. Won’t be going back. I hope the manager sat behind us on his laptop but pretending not to notice had something to say to her after we left

Super slow service .ran by a bunch of children who don't care and don't have a clue .. seriously McDonald's u need to sort this !! Huge refurb but terrible service I assume you don't care as ur busy enough McDonald's USA would be appalled!!

This shop is ridiculous for mixing up orders sending food out cold and then to top it all off half the order is missing or incorrect then I get told that it can take up to 15days to get a refund lakeside parkway

Got to be the worst McDonald’s in England. Average wait time for a simple burger order exceeds atleast 30 minutes and then it when it comes there’s items missing or cold. No apology, I think they are more than happy to refund you half the time. Ran by incompetent management and staff haven’t got a clue. I literally live next door to it and find it quicker, better standard of food and more pleasant staff force if I make the 30 minute return journey to the Tesco one. Total Abolishment wants knocking down.

why mcdonald workers dont make food or ice cream properly. a big icecream is getting smaller and smaller and same with ammount of chocolate or carmel in it. in small ice cream there was 5 small balls of chocolate. and you want 2f for it i can get 2l of amazing ice cream. as well i got a milkshake instead of ice cream every single time as they are making ice cream first in their order or something. absotule bad quality and burgers gets smaller but more expensive, it makes no sense.

The worst McDonalds I have ever been to. Waited an eternity for breakfast. Cream had disappeared from my lukewarm coffee, none of the food was hot, and got a sausage muffin instead of the bacon I ordered. How hard is it to cook a breakfast?

Service a little slow as hardly anyone in cafe and waiting in cafe for takeaway but drive through and collections appeared to be ok timewise.

Location is beautiful. We ordered from the gourmet menu and IT IS GOURMET! !! I had the Mcflurry and the chef must have been trained by Gordon ramsay as I'm sure I tasted truffle oil amongst the m and ms. The gourmet meals came out fast very fast. 4 stars

I'm sorry I did put the wrong address but when the driver rang me I asked him if he could deliver to the correct address. it was a genuine mistake. i have ordered again because he would not deliver to new address. any chance of a refund please? thank you

Always so slow to prep and send the order, I've never received every item I've ordered. Food is always cold, drinks are always warm. Prices are insane. I can overlook it not being fast food if it is a great quality or vice versa, but this is neither. If it weren't for my kids love of the brand I would have completely avoided this place by now. Will no longer order from here.

was ment to be delivered between 9.35-9.50 turned up at 10.30 chips were cold and soggy and the burgers were also cold not happy at all with the service constantly late and cold and this is ment to be fast food I could of cooked a full meal alot quicker!

Late (restaurant fault in prepping), and no sauces with a 20 box sharer. even with a note asking them for them as well as ordering 4 sauces. Absolutely ridiculous! Hello, I'm from Ukraine, it's cool, McDonald's, but I can't wait 5-10 minutes to feed. But again I see ketchup for water I liked the burger, but there are no pickles, Where I tried them, there are no internal ones, I put a sour cucumber, but there is no, I did not understand....!!!

Delivery was over an hour, the food arrived cold with half the order missing! The food I had ordered plain that did come had a plain sticker on however still had the items on which I asked to be removed due to allergies. Very unsatisfied especially when spending over £40 on my order!
