30 mins in drive thru and there was only 6 cars in front of us to the kiosk. So slow, cars were hooting their horns in the Q, so frustrating, and it’s not the first time. Food was good but not worth a 30 minute wait.

Horrible, a year ago we ordered delivery and came missing order. I spoken to manger on the phone and didn’t care. A year later, today ordered again and same order came missing a Large Chicken sandwich. Try to call the branch 10 minutes, no one answered. This place is a joke. No more orders again. It can’t be my order missing everytime. Horrible experience, I am so angry, end up upsetting my own children because they wanted a McDonald.

i was sitting on the high stools with my friend and there was a cleaner cleaning the table infront. She called the people that were originally sitting there tramps because there table was a mess. Me and my friend looked at her and when we did she looked at us back and said hi rude and sarcastically and then called us f*cking idiots then she walked off. As we was leaving mc donald’s she was outside she stared at us as we was walking away and us tramps. We continued walking away and she was staring at us the whole time giving us dirty looks.

Terrible place rush people when ordering have no customer service skills. Be careful of money you give them as they will not deal with your enquiry properly they will tell you lies then say to you that they are not here to rob your money. Training definitely needed at this store on how to deal with customers correctly. Will never be returning to this store never again.

complety shocking. Went with friends and my plus sized sister. On arrival there was a weird looking man who was screaming some weird words. I then entered the toliet as i needed a wee and found a massive poo on the toliet floor. My sister then ordred £23.58 worth of food and when it came the waiter called her number and she collected it the waiter said core is that all for you fatty. I then rushed him and my sister belly flopped on him. I had crimpiling diorreha.

We went to this place as it was close to the venue for the London Revolution cycle. I haven’t been near a McDonalds for maybe 20 years, and now I remember why. Shockingly disorganised service, it took a full 30 minutes for a very simple order. The staff appeared to be utterly without process or structure. The food when it did arrive was cold, and even though I wasn’t expecting much anyway, was just plain grotty, I have long been baffled by the success of the McDonalds formula of “reliable and consistent mediocrity” but this place really was awful. Even more surprisingly, it was full of customers ! Frankly baffling. Would rather eat gravel than go back here.

I am well aware there are days where technology fails us and we have to use good old cash. BUT when I’ve queued for 45minutes patiently to then pull up to the ordering area, to find a sign saying that contactless payment doesn’t work is shocking, I can’t believe for one second anyone who works there didn’t have the brain cell to think oh we better put a sign round the front so we don’t waste peoples time. Had I of seen a sign when starting my queue I would of happily left and sacrificed a quarter pounder meal. As it is I cannot describe how annoyed I am I’ve got to the drive through to find this information and then the guy serving me didn’t even have the decency to say oh sorry about that it was more like I was an idiot for not assuming it would be cash only? Shocking visit and honestly can’t describe how angry it’s made me.

Every time I come to this McDonald’s which is local! I never receive what I order- today I only got 4 nuggets not 6. No sauces when I continuously asked the staff. My burger still had everything in it which I never ordered. It’s never the right order every single time.

Waltham abbey mac Donald’s truly lets the brand down , I use drive through to get dinner for me and family regular , after queuing for ages . I wound say 9 out of 10 times something is missing what I have ordered, it’s a joke , they seem so unorganised . And they have had no milkshakes now for months . They need to review the way the place is run / managed . The positive is mostly all the staff are polite .

McDonald’s to be a reputable Franchise however there have been too many errors with this branch to keep turning a blind eye. When going through the drive thru, regularly food is not available on-time and you are asked to park up and have to wait for your food to be brought out (defeats the purpose of “fast food”) When ordering on an app for delivery usually the service is on-time (which is why 1 star was given), however on 4 separate occasions items have been missing from my order starting from condiments/utensils and most recently the main part of a meal, despite the receipt being in the back clarifying step-by-step all the items ordered and yet a Burger could be missing from a meal When you call to request the item is replaced and resent, they say it can’t be done as it’s through the app, and to take it up with them - despite the fact that the drivers only pick up the food to deliver they don’t pack it Awful service, refunds not given

After ordering via the order board and paying, no receipt issued. There is screen with numbers which I guess is to indicate when your order is ready. This was frozen so evidently not functioning. The staff had to shout out your number. After waiting a considerable time I went to enquire what had happened to our order. To the girl's credit she collected all the items for our order then. My burger was luke warm and my husband's fries were cold. I have decided this is my last trip to a McDonald's as it's pandemonium and food nowhere as good as it used to be. The reason for the decline I believe is this. The staff can't cope with trying to supply not just the restaurant as in the past, but also the drive in and now the delivery agents like Deliveroo etc. Not for us anymore.

I moved to Waltham abbey a year ago so this has unfortunately become my local branch. After visiting on several occasions, i can easily say this is the slowest and worse mcds ever (even worse then service stations)!! if you’re in a hurry or staving then avoid here as you’ll be queuing in the drive thru for at least 30 mins, even worse if you order inside, waited 45 mins once for a frigging McDonald’s, could have had a sit down meal served in that time ffs and it’s absolute chaos with the amount of customers and Uber drivers just endlessly waiting for what’s supposed to be their fast food! Milkshake machine hardly ever works, no Coke Zero ever!? if you want medium fries, you have to order a large meal to get medium size so always check your fries oh and you’ll have to ask for napkins cos they don’t freely give them out. Whoever is running this franchise must either give zero sheets, in financial difficulty or just a tight git who does not fix repairs or keep stock stocked. Coor I know I sound like a right Karen but it’s so frustrating how unapologetically slow they are it feels like they’re mugging us all off cos they know we’ll come back!!!!

I enjoyed the food, dont get me wrong, but the vibes where just not it. like it was super small and not a lot of eating place and the drive through is very short and small. considring its the only maccies in the area, i thought it would be a lot bigger. but the prices where good as always and the food was average. just a shame that ronalds mcdonalds wasnt there...so sad that he got lost in the re-branding of maccies RIP Ronald

Waited 40 minutes in a queue, only to be told the ice cream machine not working, complained to the manager saying should put a board up or someone advising customers, not much feed back just said it had only been broke for 10 minutes, this is not the 1st time, it has happened also with the milkshake machine. Don't bother getting in the queue the customer service is terrible

Only here to write a review about a lovely lady with blonde hair who was manning the entrance and making sure people were following guidelines. Whilst we can agree the guidelines and being told where to stand is a nuisance, she made it very pleasant and I hope to see her againThere was a manager though giving everyone menacing looks so that was a bit of a turn off but oh well i got my grub so I'm happySorry, I didn't get her name :/

Went through drive threw for a quick family dinner. Checked to make sure they got my wife’s wrap correct because she has plain and guess what... They got it wrong so had to go in and change that... Mean while we should have checked we had all our food because when got home we realised they left out my daughters meal and food was stone cold...

I went to this restaurant on 7/8/20. The deliveroo drivers were the top priority and got food before everyone else waiting to get takeaway. No customers were wearing masks when collecting takeaways. My order wait time was 30 minutes the restaurant was getting busier and at least 20 people crammed together waiting for takeaways with no masks. Staff handling food wearing no gloves. One staff member was handling cash and touching the ipad (till) with no gloves or hand sanitizer used then went in the kitchen and started touching food. I am absolutely disgusted. I spoke to the manager Adam who really didn't seem to care. I understand its busy the wait time was not what was frustrating it was the fact that not a single member of staff approached anyone customers not wearing a face mask and asked them to put one on or if they had a medical condition and are exempt. Only Myself and 2 other customers out of a packed restaurant had face masks on. Why open up if you can't keep your customers safe?

I visited McDonald’s today and ordered two happy meals and a portion of 3 mozzarella dippers, I was very excited to get home and and tuck into the meals however upon opening the bag of dippers I was very disappointed to find the salsa sauce was missing! Without the sauce the dippers are not the same ! Also one of the happy meals came with the wrong drink we ordered a banana milkshake however instead got a plain McFlurry!We ate the food however disappointed to find the order was wrong! I look forward to your response From one unhappy customer.

I always ordered grilled chicken wrap and always get the breaded chicken , even though I stressed out that they perpetuated the mistake every time. Tried to buy food today after weakening and not visiting Mcdonalds for over a month. They helped me by refusing a Scots £5 note even when informed it is legal tender. Complained to online McDonalds who said outlets could refuse notes the same as they could refuse high denomination notes. I said I would refuse to use McDonalds ever again and warn people not to use Waltham Abbey outlet.

Preorder machines all appeared out of order.Big advert proclaiming what is in a breakfast meal deal above three types of breakfast.Operative and manager wanted to dictate the contents of meal deal by deleting items.Got stroppy when I enquired if it was owned by Macdonalds or franchisee.I reckon they adjust contents to boost margins by ignoring what the deal is advertised to include.Quite rude too.

We have 2 McDonalds pretty close to us. After both finishing work late I didn't want to cook so went to Bullsmore Lane restaurant, the drive in queue was long and it was pretty busy in the restaurant, so went onto Waltham Abbey, queues pretty long there as well so went into the restaurant, also busy. I cant believe the amount of staff they have but the service was still pretty poor, ordered our food, whilst waiting 2 members of staff were having a 'to do', didn't seem to matter they were arguing in front of customers. We eventually got our order, less an item we had purchased, had to call out to get someone's attention. Took our food out to eat in the car, what a complete waste of £17, the food was so cold, the chips were cold and the boxes half full, when paying for a 'large meal' I expect to get large. There was no point going back into the restaurant as it was so busy! Without sounding old and boring I remember when McDonalds first opened in London, the quality was second to none and it was a real treat. I would also like to add that we could learn a lot from the European restaurants, we have travelled and the food and service have been brilliant, the food actually looks like the advertising pictures, there is pride in these restaurants, sadly not in ours!

Well Where do I start, oh yes let me see With the self serve machines.. they have a lot of improvement to be made, not to mention NEVER any receipts that should come out of these things! Secondly The manner/customer service of staff is only going from bad to WORSE, No smile, no ‘thankyou’ and almost dropped the order on the table when brought to us. Not to mention had to do another 2 to 3 visits to the till, and when you have a child in tow and myself being disabled, it’s something I could do without ‘having to do. This is somewhere I only visit every 2 - 3 mnths to treat my daughters. Had this been one of the ‘better’ McDonald’s, I would try to visit a bit more frequently. I ve had bad service here before and that left very little to be desired, The manager of this restaurant needs to get it together otherwise I think a complaint to a higher figure might not go amiss!

Call here after visiting the gunpowder works opposite. ON arrival there was lots of teenages just hanging around. Once inside there was finished meals still left on tables and rubbish on the floor. Couple of the tables had about 5 or 6 teenages sitting at them but only one drinking a drink. I asked if some tables could be cleaned so we could sit down, but no staff seemed to care until I asked again and then took a good 5 mins and was not really interested in doing job. Food was usual mcdonalds. Would I go here again NO !!!!.Management need to get there act together at this Mcdonalds.

Bien yo vengo aquí de vez en cuando con la familia, la nueva reforma es bienvenida pero. No práctico. Quizás para el personal, pero no para los clientes! ! En primer lugar, el área de descanso es menos y tiene lejos de ha pensado a través de correctamente. Espero que la gestión se leer esto y por amor de Dios. Por favor act.. Necesitas más confianza mayores del personal con una actitud muy buena atención al cliente, que no de pie charlando o que dan a menudo los pueblos órdenes equivocadas. Me gustaría recibir mis patatas fritas, y bebidas calientes por favor, consistentemente. En segundo lugar, ayudaría si había un 'poco' más ayuda en todos los sentidos que puede ser ofrecida a personas con problemas de movilidad.

I visited the restaurant this evening at approx 6.30pm via the drive through and was astounded by the poor attitude of the girl serving us food at the end window. Having ordered a McCafe Ice Mango Cooler as part of my order the girl gave me a half full drink and when I questioned why it was half full she advised the machine had a fault and did not apologise and looked astounded when I asked her to top it up to the correct level, she obviously thought I should just accept the drink as it was ! So...I then asked her to replace the drink and she said give me the drink back then, no please just an attitude. As she topped up the drink I watched her from my car window and I could see her manually topping the drink up so what happened to the faulty machine ? She then handed me the drink with the contents slopped down the side of the cup and I had to ask a colleague of hers to hand me a serviette to wipe the excess off the cup as it had dripped on my trousers. Her colleague a young blonde girl apologised when I complained about her colleagues poor customer service to which the first girl looked at me and sneared, she obviously didn't want to be at work and quite honestly needs re-training as her customer skills and manners are severely lacking ! My daughter who was with me was shocked by this girls attitude sneaking attitude, I really hope the Duty Manager gets in touch and responds to my complaint if he doesn't within 24hrs I will write to McDonalds H.O. and take this further !

Fuimos allí en el camino de vuelta de un viaje a la granja. Nunca había estado aquí antes, pero era conveniente para nuestra ubicación. El aparcamiento era una pesadilla, que en justicia no era culpa del mcd. La entrada al estacionamiento está en el cruce de luz realmente tráfico así que era caos entrar y salir de gira. El aparcamiento estaba lleno pero bueno si estás dispuesto a aparcar lejos del restaurante en sí. La señal para comida dentro era enorme, pero sorprendentemente se movió rápidamente. La comida era como debe ser en este tipo de lugar y consiguieron que la correcta, algo que habíamos leído en Tripadvisor no era siempre el caso. Mi hija es celíaca, así que pensamos que podría haber un problema con su comida hecho correctamente... no un pan para aquellos que no están seguros de qué es... y creo que celíacos me hemos estado someplaces que miran como si son ajenas al preguntar por eso... Toda la comida estaba caliente y las bebidas estaban bien. El restaurante estaba limpio y ordenado, lo cual resulta sorprendente teniendo en cuenta lo ocupados estaban. En general después de leer algunos comentarios en Tripadvisor, nos sorprendió gratamente. Quizás fuimos un buen día!!! Pero puedo pasar sólo en nuestra experiencia personal y que era bueno aparte de estacionamiento y acceso problemas.

Every time I use the drive through the service is shocking. They forget items on the order. Inside is always full of kids sharing a coke and generally being loud. Food is generally like warm to cold. The manager doesn't manage. The evening staff are pretty useless too. Only go if you are desperate for the toilet.

It's Mcdonald, nothing special, nothing to shout about. But good while you are pecking and passing by in the late evening.Have also been for lunch with family and there were some special activities going on, which the kids loved.It is so easy to please 5 year olds. Service is fine, just like other Mcdonalds and food too is the same, not worse not better. Place can be busy and noisy at times.

i have attended to ym local mc Donalds in my area a couple days ago i just wanted to say that i was very happy with the staff, They were so kind and helpful the food was served fast and was only freshly made, my little cousin was so happy cause they gave him 2 toys in his happy meal cause thats all he needed to have them all , they also brought food over cause they seen that there wasnt many seats left .

Yes, methinks someones having a wee chuckle listing this as a Waltham Abbey Restaurant.In fairness, as McDonalds go, its quite pleasant. Easy to park in (drive thro bit as well), clean toilets and a noticeable absence of chavvy kids hanging around - the curse of any McDonalds - proberbly because its on the edge of the Town.

It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for my order to be delivered. It didn’t say it would take this long when I booked it, but after 50 minutes of waiting I checked and the delivery time had updated to another 40 minutes and the status was still on “preparing my order”. I live 10 minutes from the store so I feel an hour and 20 minutes for one sandwich meal deal is unjustified. I tried calling the to check on my order but they hung up on me so I couldn’t cancel. Not the delivery drivers fault at all.

Best takeaway fish and chips around, I have to drive to get fish and chips and would rather drive here than to any fish and chip shop in Epping. On this occasion I was travelling back from an event in Romford and called up to order my food so didn't have to wait as the fish and chips are cooked to order for the most part. Once again we were not disappointed.
