Tried to contact customer service but impossible to get through to anyone so having to resort to here! As many people have said service is so so slow...we waited over 15mins for our food, in a pretty empty restaurant. The staff were SO rude! Whilst we were waiting one of our party had got her order - she is 7.5months pregnant and had a bite of a cheese burger while waiting for ours, only to be shouted at by a male member of staff who said "I told you not to eat here"...but we were waiting for ages and she is heavily pregnant!! She did not make a mess at all but the staff member was very rude. Whilst we were waiting we noticed the disgusting state of the kitchen, food and utensils dropped on the floor, staff just kicking or stepping over them (not picking them up). Another customer came in who had been waiting for a Drive Thru order for too long and politely asked for a refund. When he saw the state of the floor in the kitchen he went to take a photo and one of the staff bluntly told him to "F**k off" It is perhaps unsurprising that I have been suffering from a sore stomach since Tuesday. AVOID

Worst McDonald's I have been in for ages. Food looked thrown together. Had one the next day in Hounslow which was lovely. So there is no reason why Frome is so bad.

I made my order face to face. Mistakes were made with order. I was charged more to put right. I asked for a large drink and was surprised at the size of it. I discovered later that I hadn’t been given a large at all. My Grandson was given a small drink instead of a medium . When he asked for another it cost £1.99! The person serving me, although she was very nice, obviously did not have a clue what she was doing. I was extremely disappointed.

Place is absolutely useless. Came in for a quick breakfast, place is pretty much empty and still took them 25 minutes to bring my order out

Ordered online for delivery through McDonald's app. Took an hour to come, more than half the food was missing, the other half cold and to make a complaint you have to call and be on hold to Uber for 45 minutes. It's a McDonalds issue not Ubers fault. Honestly I don't know how they can be as incompetent as they are, the system is made to be idiot proof but some how the employees of McDonald's Frome manage to mess it up almost every time. The best way I can sum up the Frome McDonald's experience in one word is PATHETIC! Its cheaper and faster to buy the ingredients and coin it's yourself than it is to order from there. Avoid it if you can.

Used drive through and was asked to wait in the car park which was absolutely full with nowhere to park the meals were brought out after 15 mins with no drinks which I had paid for pointless having a drive through if you have to wait in the car park with very hungry children POOR SERVICE and no drinks

On a recent visit to my local McDonald's in Frome Somerset my mum and I were fortunate enough to be greeted by Riley. What a wonderful member of staff! He was outside taking orders ahead of the drive through. He was polite, efficient and extremely cheerful despite having been standing outside in the cold for most of his shift. Thank you Riley 🙂

Waited 15 minutes for just 3 meals to come and it has nearly been half and hour it has never took this long

The slowest, smallest store in the world. Poorly designed drive through which is ONE lane all the way back out to the roundabout which causes utter chaos expecially Friday night and the weekend. The delivery service is a joke! Most of the time delivery isn't available and when our food does arrive it's always stone cold! At best it's luke warm! I always get upset giving my very excited 3 and 5 year old children their stone cold mcdonalds! Disgusting!! We have even ended up with someone elses order before now!! Yet we have no choice because the kids love it. Well it is Frome where nobody has a brain!!!!!

After a long walk we popped in it was very busy but it was lovely to see a lot of staff working hard and was very happy to see a lady going around wiping the tables down. Just proves the right amount of staff on work's better for a great experience. Well done to all the staff on today . Thank you and happy new year

Awful experience. Food was nice when we got it but whilst waiting a male member of staff was trying to clean out the bin which was leaking over the floor. He dropped the mop and started shouting and swearing then looked over and apologised as he seen we had 2 young children with us. Then he did it again, but there was a table of other older kids who he looked like he playing up for, maybe his friends! Wouldn’t eat here again, it was so busy aswell!

No vegan food there so stright away bot good for me My family however said the food was cold and disgusting the staff clearly dont want to be there and the actual place its self is filthy the floor was cover in food and sauce smeared on the floor. The ladies bathroom was dirty and the sink looked like it had never been cleaned 🤢

Poor service never going back,I suggest the staff get re trained to know what they’re selling and what ingredients are in the products. First of all an untrained teenager taking your order second of all we asked for cheese dippers for my friend we said twice “Has this got cheese in?’“Yes”he said confidently. We then asked again to be sure. He said yes again. But we wondered why only a box of 4 was the largest size available when other MacDonalds sold larger boxes. We finally get to pay and then we asked again” isn’t there a bigger box of CHEESE DIPPERS like we had in Street McDonald’s.” The reply was “no only four in each pack of VEGGIE DIPPERS.” When we were eating my friend said “this tastes nothing like cheese dippers.”we look up what cheese dippers looked like and found out we got the wrong order!we went back through the drive through and complained about not receiving cheese dippers or bites. The guy taking the order said to drive on, it was his error and the staff at the paying window would sort something out. We then explained to the guy at the till that we got the wrong order and we had wanted cheese dippers or bites!! He was also unaware of the cheese product and had to ask for help from colleagues. Then we had to pay for the replacement order!!! I Was furious that the staff weren’t trained and didn’t know what they were selling and we had to pay even more for their mistake. it’s a serious matter not to know ingredients in MacDonalds products. The empty 'restaurant' should have been an indicator. Having picked my teenage children up from the train station, they asked if I would take them to McDonald's for supper. As I hadn't eaten either, I agreed. I seldom visit the fast food chain as I'm always disappointed, especially with the Frome 'restaurant'. As I said the place was all but deserted. We went in, placed our order on the system and waited ten minutes or so for our food to arrive. When it did, it was cold. The fries were devoid of flavour, the burger very disappointing. Our three meals cost £30.00 in total. I resented agreeing to eat this slurry immediately. I think that is a lesson learned and I will not be visiting McDonald's 'restaurant' again!

Drive thru, waited as not ready, got home another drive only to find they missed a burger, their customer service is appalling

Absolutely horrendous wait times considering there were only 5 cars ahead From ordering to paying was 25 mins Then another 10 mins - not counting the 15 mins before ordering Burger was stone cold and that’s no exaggeration

I ordered 3 triple cheese burgers and only got 2 in my bag, I’m £2.19 out of pocket now. I’m not sure how I’m going to pull through this, I hope McDonald’s can help me here!!

Of all the McDonald's around we find this one better than most, since new way of ordering cooking it is slower now but at least food hot now. Had a couple problems with orders but that's the same as any we've been to, for what McDonald's is this one ok.

It's happened to me twice now whilst using the drivethru and by the same member of staff!! Placed my order, collected it at the drivethru window, driven away only to find items I've paid for are not in the bag!!! So frustrating basically being ripped off!! And by the same woman serving!! Sort it out..

Was accused of lying by a young member of staff with dark long hair called Kacey, the fault was the restaurant because of their app and the food not being available to suit my dietary requirements, overall terrible experience

It was my second drive thru visit today after lockdown finished and every time they made mistake with my order. And if there is problem it's your to fix, not theirs. Really disappointed with customer service.

Casting the mind back a few years. There used to be a lovely patch of land there.. with no McDonalds on it.

I came for some food after work I asked for no pickles... instead I was given pickles but they did not give me and sauce in my burger so I had to then queue in Sainsbury’s for some water due to the meal dehydrating me so much... the youth at the window was very unhelpful he couldn’t hear a word I was saying very disappointed all in all

This is possibly the worst McDonald’s ever. It’s our local and I have 2 kids so we do go there whenever I can bare it, but it is always dirty with sticky tables and bits of food on the floor. The service is the worst. Doesn’t matter if it’s drive through, order at the counter or do the touchscreen you will have to wait approx 20 minutes. The order is gradually made by staff who all yell at each other and argue. Whatever is made first is cold by the time they finish the order. I hate coming here. Plus one of the machines is always broken. Of the few times I have been I have rarely been able to order a milkshake as it’s broken or they’ve run out of something off the menu. Shockingly bad.

I was with my son and he laughed his head off when I opened my Big Mac burger. It was 2 burgers in a bun, that was it apart from 3 tiny pieces on onion on some yellow sauce in the whole burger. No lettuce or any garnish of any kind. It was the saddest looking thing, I think that they just don't care. My sons burger was fine and had everything. Mine bore no resemblance to what was advertised at all. It has a reputation of being bad and thought it must be disgruntled locals but no, they really don't care. I just waited for him to finish and walked out throwing it in the bin as I went, was just that angry. I think if I had spoken to anyone then I would have shouted, never get that angry in my life. It's just so insulting.

Not happy today had my hopes up for a Fanta with no ice and that have no Fanta. Tracked 20 miles to Mac Donald’s making them bad for the environment

Could this be the worst m d's in the wheel world?. Sat wating in a huge que with an employee taking orders but we were waved on to place our order at the screen only to be told they were sold out of quarter pounders. So ok we will have big macs to be td there is a 20 min wait for big macs. We agreed to wait and carried on with our order milkshakes No milk shakes. 3 apple pies no apple pies. WHAT HAVE YOU GOT. It was 12 PM. The start of lunch not 12am when you can accept they only have certain things available. Bad bad bad management.

Frome McDonald’s has the potential to be really good however the food is always stone cold. I’ve waited until it’s quiet to go and still the food particular burgers and nuggets is so cold!

Always takes ages although 27 mins this time is a new record. Staff seem undertrained. I would avoid, especially if you are in a rush.

After trying to find restaurant (sat nav took in tiny country lanes) service was ok but not many places to sit.

Went to McDonald's for something quick to eat. We finally got our food, only to realise we had the wrong order. Only the drinks and 1 happy meal were correct. Had to drive all the way back to get the right order. Upon explaining we had the wrong order and showing we had the wrong food, the member of staff threw it straight in the bin - what a waste! 1 hour round trip to get the correct order, what a joke.

Today 18/2/19 I went with my daughter wife and grandson to FROME donalds after having our meal I said to my wife I would just use the onsite toilets my god the only word I can describe them as a stable smelly/ dirty sink /pan/ floor the taps had grime all around them no toilet paper and this was the disable toilet the gents was out of order and a note said use other toilet

Self services machines always broken, always run out of ice cream, manager lady very rude, soo many staff but none of them seem to know what they are doing, place is always dirty too. Definitely the worst McDonald’s in the UK

We waited over an hour for a happy meal, a coffee and a wrap!!!!! I don’t even know why we waited that long!! We watched loads of people complaining to staff and asking how long their food would be which was met with blank faces and a naff apology.

Called in as passing on way home from a day out. Chose to do the drive-through as at that time wasn't busy. Service slow, staff not really engaged. The shift manager was throwing her authority around for the public sat outside in their cars to hear all to clearly! Staff morale OBVIOUSLY at an all time low. Hence queues started to quickly build and it no longer was FAST FOOD!!!! Our burgers were cold and no napkins or sauces given even though requested twice. GO TO THE NEARST KFC OR CHIPPY IF IN THE AREA!!!

I only wanted a cup of coffee and some fries. There was only one choice of fries ‘medium’. At that time there was nobody on the till, so I ordered using the only screen that was working, which did not give me a receipt. Once I’d ordered I realised that I was put in the same queue as the people ordering from cars outside. I waited about 15 minutes, we could have driven to Waitrose and got a free coffee in that time. But I had already paid, so I could not just walk out. The fries did not seem properly cooked, and there was no sauce. The boy scooping fries was not wearing gloves. I will not bother again...

Only in Frome can you get this slow. No words for how terrible this mcdonalds is. Staff are mentally and physically slow, food is usually cold and takes half an hour to arrive. Chips look and taste like bootlace, and whichever Mc moron puts the burgers together couldn't find his ar*e with both hands. All in all go there if you want a trip to the human zoo, waste a bit of cash, and leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

We went in to McDonalds in Frome for something quick to eat having had a long day in Bath and not feeling up to another pub sit down meal. I wish i had just driven past when i saw the really long queue at the drive through. We ordered our food at 19:45, and we were shouted over at 20:05! It was not even that warm when it came over, and i don't want to sound harsh on the staff but only one of them seemed to be moving quicker than a snails pace and she was the only one who looked like she had worked in a McDonalds before. Do yourselves a favour and keep driving by, i really wish we had!

I feel bad having to do this as I love McDonalds and have over the years been many times but all branches are suffering terribly throughout the area. The branch in Frome is by far the worst. You wait so long that by the time you get it its always cold. My feeling is they are trying to do way to much with staff that just aren't up to the job! Self service machines, ordering at the till, table service, drive through, its just not working. You can see your food come from the prep area to the service area and there it sits for ages until the person dealing with it packs its. In fairness the staff are working hard they just have to much to do. I see some reviews where people are saying it's apparently no longer fast food but even so you often wouldn't wait that long in a real restaurant or a pub. The whole point of M'd's is to grab something quick, if I wanted a restaurant I'd go somewhere else. Come on the powers that be, admit you have got this horribly wrong and sort it!

I really do not know what to say - the last two visits have been appalling

Sun 18 Aug . Went to McDonalds FROME . Ordered strawberry milkshake and Frappe . Waited over 15 mins to get to pick up hatch only three cars in front , got to hatch only to be told by smiling staff member . That we had taken so long to get to hatch they had run out of milkshake ingredients ( he thought this was funny ) . This is at least the fifth time in a row I have not had what I ordered . It seems that this macs is going DOWNHILL VERY FAST , take my advice go to K F C across the road , at least their staff care about the customers. MINUS 100

With a family of six, we have been to many McDonald’s restaurants all over the country and abroad. The drive-through service is slow but tolerable, the problem is that they just never get the order right so when you get home you either go without something I’ll have to drive back again, this is been the same for the last 10 years.

If I could give this less than one star I would. Went there for breakfast, only drinks available were water or orange juice. Hash browns were forgotten for two meals. Food was cold. Staff are miserable. Milkshake and mcflurry a haven't been working for my last 5 minutes (the one thing I always want). Place is a shambles and run poorly. In my opinion needs shutting down.

Apparently, according to staff memember, Mac Donald’s is no long FAST food Hardly fine dining now is it? How long does it take with that many staff to get a burger and chips? 20 minuets apparently And the chips were cold

Second time in a month , went for breakfast. Woman in front of me was served by a miserable looking guy who ask what do you want no good morning or please/ thank you .He then disappeared for two or three minutes , came back same with me no good morning please or thank you . I had three people behind me and he ignores them and walks away , it was three minutes before a young girl stepped up to serve . ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING way to treat customers , maybe he should leave if he doesn’t like being there, it would certainly make going to McDonald’s a more pleasant experience, unfortunately I can’t give my true rating because there is no minus button

It is hands down THE worst McDonald's I've ever been too. Each time i go, hoping it will be a better experience, it's inexplicably worse. The most recent trip.. I was given a chicken burger when I ordered a vegetarian burger. I'm a vegetarian.. Wtf. I sent in three complaints and not heard a thing back. Don't go. Bloody milkshake machine is always broken anyway.

Just wanted to say that on the evening 24th April 2018, I temporarily lost my purse as I was eating in at Frome Mcdonalds. I would like to add how fantastic the manager and floor staff were in helping me to look for it. Thanks again, by the way I found it in my car!

Not only were staff like something out of the walking dead but they forgot half our order, it was luke warm as left on side for ages and what ever you do don't have the chicken and bacon salad - disgusting. 1/2 hour wait on food is NOT fast food.

This is not a general review on McDonalds, as we often are very happy with the food & service. It's just this is the second disappointing visit to the Frome restaurant. Last August purchased 4 happy meals and were told that there were no toys available (so 4 not so happy kids)

So so slow mentally and physically! Seriously the slowest Macdonalds I've ever been in. I've tried drive in and walk in and doesn't make a difference. Bring back the day when they say sorry for the wait here's something complimentary!!!

Went to frome mcdonalds today, was a big que but I thought ' it's drive through, it will go down quick!' Boy was I wrong, waited 20mins to get to the collection window to be told I had to go and wait in a bay! I'd only ordered a kids chicken nugget meal and a large big Mac meal! All in all took 30 mins from start to finish! Never going there again!!!!!

Great service, Quick service, Always right. Better then the KFC next to it by far. More seating area more friendly and more aware of customers for good customer service 👍👍👍

Nos sorprendió los paneles interactivos en los que podías hacer tus pedidos, pagar con tarjeta y en unos minutos te lo traían a la mesa sin tenen que mediar palabra con el personal del restaurante. Ideal si tu dominio de inglés es bajo porque la aplicación para realizar los pedidos estaba en muchos idiomas.

Un salto aquí en el camino a casa desde el Safari Park longleat. Es lo que es, mcdonalds, a todo el mundo le encanta un mcdonalds. Mi esposa y yo tuvimos la barbacoa de pollo, hamburguesa smokehouse y fue muy agradable. El servicio fue rápido, y las comidas eran caliente asexpected.

Comida típica. Un poco lento, pero estuvo bien. Fue desordenado como los contenedores estaban llenos por dentro y por fuera con estirado en el suelo.

Es el peor McDonald's. Totalmente miserables, pésimo y personal grosero. Yo vamos allí cada día y pedir un donut chocolatoso y un muffin de chocolate para mis hermanas menores y cada uno de los días que no tienen ellos y sé que no soy el único decepcionado ya que esto es alrededor de las 7 pm cada día (5 horas a partir de la hora de cierre). Constantemente en el stock, no ofrecen alternativas y simplemente en el camino. El grosero, casco, el hombre que pasen del realmente hace que el restaurante aspecto desordenado y apesta de alcohol. Creo que este McDonald's es horrible. La mala calidad de la comida para los estándares de McDonald's y eso es mucho decir.

Fuimos allí para el desayuno antes de visitar Longleat. pedir por las pantallas táctiles en frente del mostrador y pagar con tarjeta. Cuando nuestro número fue llamado a menos de 5 minutos más tarde nos dieron nuestra orden y nos dijeron que nuestra salchichas y tortitas no estaban listas, pero que sería llevado a nuestros asientos cuando estés preparado. Cuando llegamos estaban perdiendo la salchicha pero este fue rápidamente corregido.

Have never waited so long for food. 15 mins at drive thru!! The people in front were only having two drinks and two McFlurrys, not rocket science!! There just seems to be no friendliness, it's more of a conveyer belt! But with less rush! This had happened on more than one occasion! You would think with the amount of staff there is in there that there would be some organisation, seemingly not! Poor management and poor manners!

The management seem to have no respect for there business or customers. The staff seem poorly trained with no pride in there work. The staff were not capable of getting the food order correct, the food was cold due to the fact it to ages at the counter. The restaurant was dirty and the windows were covered in smears and hand prints. Will avoid this restaurant at all costs. When visiting Frome again will try another fast food outlet but not a mcdonalds.

Our kids love to save up their pocket money and get a Mcdonalds Happy meal lunch treat - nice staff, clean venue - always what we expect.

We were waiting in the queue for breakfasts at 10:25. Then a very unhappy employee came outside and flipped all the menus to lunchtime. We were then told its lunch menu when we approached the kiosks. WE WERE QUEUING!! Seemed poor, as we were there on time. Could of done it, should of done it. Maybe come up with a system for cut off. Jees... Thanks Frome McDonald's.

Food cold manager useless, I think she was foriegn Nat I think her name she's rude, derogrity with the way she talks to u, poor staff looked so miserable and unhappy, she was even rude in front of customers to a poor trainee. Never go there again

Unbelievably poor service. If you arrive here and need to queue, really don't bother. If you think DriveThru may be quicker, again you are wrong!Never appears to be understaffed, but always seems to be slow. Either poorly trained staff or poor management, either way, this is one to avoid if you actually want 'fast food'.
