McDonald's in Shropshire

Staff are absolutely brilliant, the manager Ryan was so helpful when my order crashed my app, took the time to go through the whole thing for me, but all the staff were super friendly and helpful!

Went in drive through over 40min wait food was cold and hardly any lettuce in my chicken sandwich meal. Won be going here again. Very poor quality

Very upset. Ordered five meals, three of which were adult Minecraft happy meals. Getting home opened to find no toys in the meals which were only bought specially for the kids toys who love Minecraft. Wasn't busy so surprised a simple order cannot be correctly processed in early afternoon on week day. Food was okay but shame you pay for something you don't get.

Went to the drive through yesterday ordered a Big Mac Meal And I must say It was the best Big Mac for years I wish I had now taken pictures It was full of lettuce and sauce as it used to be And I’m going to say it Just like the advertised one I’m going to return and I’m hoping it wasn’t just a won off

Nice, easy to access, clean, quiet, spaces available in the car park.

Good food, very consistent, well laid out restaurant with seating the other side of the takeaway queue. Not enough touchscreens for when it gets busy, it also took a while to get standard menu items after ordering

New place, just off the road and easy acess. Parking at the back is decent and well aranged. The atmosphere is just nice, lovely feel and vibe inside, not the usual mcdonalds. New and clean chairs and tables. Not rowdy inside as well. Like it

Nice and clean restaurant, staff are friendly and helpful. Food was OK, there was a bit of a delay with my order but nothing too drastic.

It may of had a refurbishment but they are still getting orders wrong and the food is still cold

Ripped off by the parking controls at this mc donalds. Just received a £90 fine as the stupid cameras think I stayed for 12 hours. It was actually two seperate visits in two seperate days, but lets see how well premier park ignore my appeal. Once by my son and once by me, but in the same car 12 hours apart. Such a pain and a reason not to visit. Come on, sort it out...

Well, wife placed a £40+ order on her phone gave me the code to grab the food, got there and they won’t accept the code as the phone that made the order wasn’t there! They lost out on a £40 order KFC picked it up, never ever again, orders take ages to come through if you do pay at the window, 90% of the time it’s wrong, 99% of the time it’s cold, awful awful awful spend your hard earned somewhere decent give this place a wide birth

I called in here this afternoon, whilst out doing the Christmas present run. The place itself is ok, as was the food. My issue is with the management. The moment I walked in, I immediately became aware of three people, two of whom we're presumably managers, and one young lad. The managers were sitting at a table in the public area, and one of them (who happened to be a woman) was loudly expressing her disappointment with the job performance of the young lad. While placing my order on the touchscreen, I was quite close to them. However, I ended up sitting about fifteen feet away, and I could still hear her quite clearly. Having never worked for any branch of McDonald's, I don't know anything about their policy on giving staff a capability review (telling off) but I don't think the policy is to do such things within earshot of the customers. Like many young people, the lad didn't seem to realise that - whatever his shortcomings - he is entitled to be treated with dignity at work, and that his manager was in the wrong for going about things this way. As a restaurant, this place is ok. Nothing special, just ok. But the manger in question is in urgent need of a metaphorical kick up the backside. As well as this review, I'll be reporting the matter to McDonald's UK. I have no doubt that a brief investigation on their part will bring matters to a very speedy conclusion. But should you ever be out in the back roads of Shropshire, and find yourself in need of a comfort break, think twice about using this particular establishment.

The food is what you always get and since the recent refurb the inside looks clean and tidy. The problem is that the drive through always, and I mean always, sends you to the grill bay. Not sure if this helps them to hit their stats or what but they have more cars parked up than I have seen at any other McDonald's. In the winter it means cold food too. They really need to sort that situation out, I was send to the grill bay for a cheeseburger meal today, how is that not ready?!!! Needs sorting.

Usual McDonald's experience although the service was particularly slow.

The atmosphere is no existent the food is getting more expensive every visit and the sizes are getting smaller

We didn't finish our food it was that bad. I took my daughters burger back to complain about the burnt grease on her burger and the lumps of burnt grease inside the burger box. Before we even ordered we had to clean up a spilt milkshake under the table. That should of been the que to leave. But we're happy to get on and do. The men's toilets were absolutely disgusting! Smell of raw sewage, (one toilet cubicle out of order). No soap to wash hands either. Food order was wrong. We were travelling home from a children's theme park just up the road. Thought we'd pop in, as it's a treat for the kids. So we went to Greg's for sausage rolls instead, Greg's never failed yet. We really wish I looked at the reviews before going. Avoid this McDonald's. Don't waste your money like we did.

Very average food, poor service from staff that don’t want to be there, claims to be24 hours but won’t take orders after midnight

Always a mistake, delay or cold limp fries. No longer a cheap option you can eat elsewhere sit inside and get table service for the same price. They need to drop their prices and up their game.

The food was OK,service wasn't bad, not the quickest but by no means the worst we've experienced. Cleanliness let it down a little.

Last week me and my dad were on the way to Chester Zoo. And when we had about 25 minutes left of our journey we stopped at this McDonalds. It was lovely. Food was lovely and fresh and we only had to wait about 2-3 minutes for our number to be called it also wasn't busy at all. So it was nice and chill. Great McDonalds! Highly recommend.

I use McDonald’s all over the UK and Europe and this one is the worst I have ever experienced. Wrong order so they changed it and Wong again then changed it and wrong again. Surly teenage staff who act like they could not give a dam about customers. Warm limp food, milkshakes like water. Simply avoid like the plague

I'm not going to complain about holding the queue but the people behind me weren't happy but I was with mu fresh hot food

Hate the place...forced to go here under duress by the kids. They were even disappointed in the end. But if you like stale bread and meat that tastes like cardboard then this is likely the place for you

Our visit was at a busy time. The drive through experience was good and our food was hot. Getting out of the car park was difficult due to holiday traffic.

It's a Mac Ds so, it does what it says on the tin. A bit small if you're planning on eating in. Certain nights of the week the queue for the drive thru gets pretty long. The car park has a befuddling layout and somewhat clashes with the neighbouring services when you exit. The whole complex is a bit pothole heavy too.

The toilets mens no soap and no hand dryer disabled toilet was blocked I find this unacceptable especially with covid on the rise 😡

Turned up at 2 to a restaurant supposedly open 24/7 was all shut down. BY NO MEANS '24/7

Drive through as we were passing. Neither Toffee Latte or milkshakes were available so we had to make substitutions which were OK but not our first choice. Food was OK when it was ready.

Every time I go to McDonald’s when you order sauce they never put it in the bag you always have to go inside to get sauce which defeats the object of a drive through. When you receive your food it’s only luke warm.

Cold food, wrong order and staff that didn't care or want to remedy the situation

After a few visits the food has been cold or something missing they struggle with large orders. Drive through always makes you park up and wait making the fast food aspect pointless.

Ordered on-screen 2 grilled chicken wraps, NO BACON (i even customised it on the screen) as i don’t eat that for religious reasons, got bacon in it, big pieces too, digusted as i was i hoped my friend didnt get bacon in his but it did too, why are you not reading the screen

Shame there is no zero - visited today for breakfast with my husband, wait time 12 minutes (restaurant and drive through seemed quiet). Ordered food asked for it to be hot! Food arrived was lukewarm including coffees - my husband said he would eat his because we had been travelling for quite some time. I sent my Sausage mcmuffin back. Got replacement arrived but by then hash brown was cold and coffee luke warm - hadn't eaten my food asked for full refund - was refunded for my food but not my husband's - was told no refund for him as he had eaten his mcmuffin - complained his coffee was cold - offered replacement only for coffee not refund! The only reason I complained is because I suffer from IBS and didn't want a flare up. This McDonald's is a place we stop off at on our journey. We will never go there again. I have logged a complaint with head office, poor service, poor food quality, poor management.

I've always used this mcdonalds weekly. But the last few weeks the service has been extremely slow... I've had to either sit in the drive through for over 30 mins or park up and wait for food.

This seems to be a very sleep McDonald's as the service was slow, and when it did come, the fries were cold and overdone, and the drink was cold, and the chicken nuggets were also overdone so this is my reason for the low marks on the Restaurant

Only called in to use the toilets which were lovely and clean.

Might as well waited in the long queue, for the drive through. Ordered food on self serve. Waited for 20 mins, while others were called to collect their order... got to 20 orders passed my order number and my order was no longer visible. Asked the young lad, if he knew where my order was? He came back with two bags.... slightly confused as I had ordered only two meals and there were 5 lots of chips. The young lad took the bag away and came back with the right order. No sauces, had to ask. Got home, only 3 mins down the road. Apart from chicken nuggets being hot, everything else was cold. Wrong chips, the big T burger looked like a toddler had made it and to top it all off - no sauce for the cheese bites. All for kids getting jobs, but where are the adults?

5 people working in the kitchen 1 person doing all the work. 4 where young adults/kids from the looks of it not pulling there weight on the work load, literally stood there watching the one individual do all the work. Leaving the older woman to dish up the food and do table service and run the front desk. Food was pretty dog toff and all. Drinks were tasteless.

I had to wait 26 mins for 1 mayo chicken , 2 cheese burgers and 1 cheesy bite . After this time they gave me only the burgers and forgot the cheesy bites.. tables dirty too

Long wait for very few people. Receipt wasn't printed as machine was faulty. The sprite was warm without ice and uncarbonated (possibly old stock). Iced coffee drink had large ice chunks which were severly difficult to drink through. Ordered the new cheesy bites, saices were given, food wasn't.

Disappointed with this visit. Waited at drive thru for over 20 minutes when I was the only customer,, food order was not what I ordered and it was not cooked and only warm, while waiting at last window to collect a number of vechicles started queuing behind me,,,with the main restaurant very quiet I was left speechless as to why it took so long,, No one came to window with an explanation and never apologized for the delay ,, that's why I have replied to you asking for my experience ,,,I do hope you reply to my comments but not holding out any hope. Genuinely leaving this review purely because of the delightful guy who works drive-thru on the overnighters, always is so happy and chatty when I go through (never have any issues with my order from this McDonald’s anyway) and so this review is for ‘The Dan’ I hope your management acknowledges this review and give you some praise, you more than deserve it!

So far waited 30 minutes for fries. Organisation is shocking.

Poor quality food, even for McDonalds

Firstly the toilets were covered in piss. Like an actual flood. Second the food came out as short portions of fries . Topped up but the new fries were actually stale. Thirdly the McSpicy was not at correct temperature and although they offered to make a fresh one it would have taken 5 minutes which would have meant food already in bag would be inedible by the time new food was made McDonald’s Spicy replaced with mccrispy which was hotter but on taking first bite it was cold. It’s a good job McDonald’s business model doesn’t rely on repeat customers. Oh wait….

4th time calling for ice-cream, previous 3 attempts we drove away because of the slow service

Great staff , friendly and polite which is the only positive thing I have to say. Food is almost always cold or luke warm at best the drive through is always slow and theres always an issue with the milkshake machine and can never seem to get a frappe either. The biggest issue I have is the prices . The same as all low quality fast food restuarants like kfc and burger king, the prices are way too high . It's mcdonalds not a pub restuarant.

Normally good service but today was really really slow. Chips were slightly over done too Had to go up to the counter twice to see where the food was, but a very nice lady did give me an upgrade to a large for the inconvenience. 2 hungry and impatient children and husband to deal with whilst waiting nearly 40 minutes for table service - won't be coming back in any rush.

Got given a medium frappe when I orderd a large then when called to complain got hung up on by the woman on the phone

Like Joe Pecsi says, dont go to the drive through! 3 times in the last couple of weeks I've pulled up in one, of the 2, order points and waited only for someone to pull up to the other one and get served first!! The staff when challenged on this are rude too. Add to this the fact that, even by McDonalds standards, the food is badly thrown together I'd rather drive the 11 miles to Market Drayton. Had enough tonight and just left without ordering, I won't be going back.

What do I say it's a McDonald's

Visited Friday 8th March around 10PM, went in and ordered at the screen, no receipt given but we remembered the order number. Every order was moved from preparing to ready to collect within about a minute but we were waiting a further 20+ minutes before our order was presented & called. In the meantime friends of staff walked in, ordered and were served with preference, even as much as walking into the kitchen. Staff on the counter were too busy chatting with off the clock staff to call orders as they were ready. Our order, while correct, was called and handed over lukewarm at best, after over 20 minutes since ordering.

We visited later in the evening on a Saturday, plenty of parking although it seemed a bit of a strange layout as the cars coming away from the drive through crossed me in the car park. Went inside and ordered quickly, with food arriving within a short wait time . Our orders are always customised so we expect to wait a little longer. Restaurant wasn't busy and some areas were being cleaned. Toilets were clean. Overall a good experience.

Deaf staff don't get order right 😡 give up go somewhere else next time. called in today to try again this time ok. called 5/3/24 service very slow I don't think they won't custom.

Always a good place to stop on a journey down south from Chester. Quick service, clean and tidy, and a handy drive through if you're short on time.
