McDonalds in West Somerset

Decided to grab something before going to hospital, and got their new £5 meal deal. Wished we hadn’t, wasn’t overly busy. Staff were very slow. Saw the guy making the burgers just chucking the burgers in. When we got our order, both beef and chicken looked liked it had been stepped on, chicken mayo had no mayo. Fries were cold. Certainly not a great service. Was getting busy wish holiday makers coming up and felt sorry for them. Bins needed emptying and an idea when finished leave not pretend to hold a full blown conversation just because you are on half term and nothing else to do. They were lucky to get 2/5

Dirty building, inedible food, grumpy and disgruntled staff, incomplete order, wrong order given to us and never have the items on the menu in stock. Genuinely cannot recommend that you go elsewhere strongly enough!

Fantastic, quick service. Lovely staff that will have a great conversation with you. The food is always good quality here and my friends and family all think so as well.

This mcdonalds has seriously gone down hill ,never any milkshakes, the new grimace milkshake is only on the menu for a week ,but never available hot chocolate hasn't been available for weeks ,some staff members customer service is lacking ,avoid if you don't want to be disappointed

Lovely restaurant and great experience. I ordered nuggets, fries and a drink. It was all done quickly through the drive thru even though it was very busy. I was surprised at how efficient they were.

Very dirty in toilets floor very wet were man had just mop it over with very wet mop slip hazard lady’s toilet My husband Could not even wash his hands as sink and tap so dirty Obviously a poor to allow store to get this dirty. Wed 24 July 2024 at around 1 pm

Foid did come super fast but niw I'm thinking it was besause it wasn't cooked enough as I ended up with food poisoning from the sweet chilli chicken wrap.

Had a good visit, if your expecting gourmet food McDonald’s isn’t for you however this McDonald’s does a great job, speedy service and friendly staff well done.

Now i was very displeased with my time at the McDonalds based in Minehead. I have served late and the fries were served unfortunately without any crystallised sodium with made me and my friend greatly depressed. You were lucky that we were listening to Justin Bieber who is usually quite salty on his own so I will be frank and potentially you could be Dave. In a pip darlin l. I don't advise it

Worst McDonalds in the Country We use this McDonalds weekly. Not anymore though. Wednesday night was the last straw. Burgers were warm at best. Chips were stone cold. Kids drink order came out wrong. Although the way the staff member looked at us it was entirely our fault. Staff were lacking manners. Basically this place is appalling. Never ever going again. Just whip up the road to one of the Minehead takeaways. So much better. My kids asked why we had not been to the ‘better burger’ place before. SERIOUSLY AVOID. Absolute litter of a fast food outlet.

Awful McDonald’s. Order a breakfast meal and when at food hatch to be told I didn’t. 10p for ketchup what a joke and gotta pay cash.Avoid this establishment. No customer service at all

We use this Mc Donalds most days and in the past have generally been very pleased - not often we have to complain but yesterday ordered a large fries with meal. When we opened it it was barely half full. Went back today and mentioned this. We were told we had to ring in. We did this and after a long wait got through. We were told 'tough luck' you should have phoned on the day. No apology at all!! When my wife said that was not good enough they said people are trying it on - upset my wife that she was not believed - we even had the receipt. We are one of the best customers at this McDonalds using it a number of times each week. Very poor - need a few lessons on customer service. Is this a try on by McDonalds to short change on portions.

The place is filthy, the kitchen area which can be viewed through the drive though is absolutely discusting. The sides covered in dirt and grease not been cleaned down correctly or even wiped. Dirt around side of counters and food stick in groves. the food on the two occasions I've been is wrong. The staff lack training and customer service. The car park is infested with rats which run around eating the contents of the bins in play sight of customers. The place is a health hazard. Definitely needs a good bleach and a substantial clean. I used to eat the Big Macs and Chicken nuggets but now I am Pescatarian and thuis is what I eat when at McDonalds The McPlant reminds me of the Big Mac burgers I used to have before my decision The Fillet o Fish is quit good, might be better if it had Lettuce in it The chips/fries are the thin and crunchy type that goes well with burgers The Milkshakes are so thick it's like trying to drink ice cream, Only like the Vanilla and Strawberry ones. and that's coming from someone who isn't a big strawberry ice cream fan The McFlurrys are the best type of soft ice cream, It's soft and airy but doesn't disappear in the mouth like most soft serve whippys or Pizza hut ice cream factory so you can enjoy eat spoonful. Enjoy the Oreo and Smarties ones But best not to have burger, fries AND an milkshake/McFlurry altogether, best to Choose either a lunch/dinner or a milkshake/McFlurry

Very good service, i was astonished by the food, only one thing went wrong, im now in prison because i clobbered a baby for crying while i was eating. i have now broken out of prison to leave this review. Liked roundhouse kicking the manager

Waited in the drive through for 15 minutes to get half way round to be met by a sign "unable to accept card payments" there was a signage bollard before the entrance to drive through this notice could have been placed at! Then had to wait another 15 minutes for only 2 cars in front to get there food! 1 of the cars had to drive all the ways back around and wait because their desert was missing! Whilst we had to leave without food due to not having cash on us. Totally poor management absolutely ridiculous!

Great service, tables being cleaned. Staff were welcoming and on the ball with social distancing. We got the food quickly and efficiently.

Always a good stand in , everyone enjoyed their Mc Donald’s no complaints here . Staff all obeying the covid rules , and very pleasant.

Always enjoyed regular visits to this McDonalds - nice for a meal and a chilling read of a newspaper on a Sunday lunchtime. Very disappointed recently in finding they no longer have newspapers. When asked staff they say it is under a new franchise. If they are too tight to supply a couple of newspapers probably costing around £3 a day why should we bother going there? Why have the newspapers disappeared!

With an organisation such as McDonalds you expect consistency of product, at this outlet I have found the food variable , McChicken sandwich very dry, the nuggets we ordered were inedible, this was due to the coating having an unpleasant taste the burger which we ordered was cooked as one would expect however having ordered one without cheese came with cheese, as we were using the driver utility I had gone off site by the time I discovered this. On a separate note the dips we had ordered were not in the bag either

We came to this McDonald's in Minehead last week and was very surprised with the slow service, not many cars going through the drive through, Toilets blocked and untidy at times and the staff were not that friendly, but helpful to people like me with a disability, since I am Blind and struggle to get around in different Restaurants. It was too bright in the restaurant for me, because the windows were not shaded and when the sun was shining it was upsetting my eyes.

Visited today for lunch, was really pleased to see that salads are now served in boxes instead of needless plastic.Well done on helping our environment

We stopped at the drive through and found the service to be fast and efficient. The food for the kids was good.

Waited ages to get our food, which arrived lukewarm and unappetising. Tea almost cold and had to request another cup. Won't be visiting there again anytime soon....

Don't at in these places much on principle but came here with 2 friends who use them a lot. Cheap, efficient service, good value, chicken wrap was good.

Visit with for a treat with the grandchildren. 3 adult meals and a happy meal. All ok staff friendly and restaurant clean. Felt it was a bit mean that we had to pay for a toy 99p so that both the children had toys. But apart from that all good.

Food was amazing here the food came out extremely hot was my first time trying the fillet o fish burger and this made me not regret it i absolutely loved the food here. Amazing service too!

If you really like McDonalds, then this place is as good as any other. Staff are ok, the surroundings are clean and the food is....well, standard McDonalds food at standard prices. Oh! and you don't have to wait ver long gto get it!

No soap in the women’s toilets. Informed young female staff member who didn’t seem very interested. Dirty seats in restaurant and very slow service. Can only feel relieved it’s not my local MacDonalds where the hygiene is taken a lot more seriously thankfully.

Minehead McDonald's is probably the slowest McDonald's in the world I always use dry through and there's nothing fast food about this place

Same menu as every other McDonalds. Was tidy, clean with parking. Was offered bowl & fresh water for dog from member of staff 🐶

The place is extremely busy, but we found it very untidy not enough staff to keep tables and surrounding area clean and tidy (unusual for Mc Donalds in our experience)

myself and my 91 yr old dad go to drive through every day all he wants is a rapberry cooler every day they dont have any thats happened for the last 2 weeks!! even the milkshakes have run out!! america would come to a standstill if it happened over there!!! bloody hopeless will go to burger king instead!!

Go to MacDonald's at home with Grandchildren and hubby and always been ok! This one was most unhelpful staff and the chicken legend was awful!! chewy and as if baked within inch of its life! I went up to ask if I could have some mayonnaise please (to disguise the awful burger) and was told no we have ketchup but no mayo!! In view that you put mayo ON the chicken legend and you had little paper pots piles up for the milk for coffee....o wondered why they couldn't just pump a bit into the pot for me but then they WERE the most unhelpful two people on the till I had ever seen in a Mac Donald's!!!

Popped in for lunch on route to butlins. Average McDonald's really. Used the self service machine. Some food was wrong. Nothing special just McDonald's.

On way home dropped in. Close to the Morrison’s we were at. Not far from Butlins itself. Can’t ask for much more. Fast and hot.

Havent used a McDonalds for many years but wanting some breakfast I know that I love the sausage and egg McMuffins so decided to stop for one. whilst I find them really tasty I am also aware that it's not the healthiest of food.

We stopped at this McDonald's on the way to Butlins . We weren't expecting anything apart from the usual beaux burger and chips , just have to say what a difference it makes when the burger is fresh and not just thrown together . Not...

Usual McD - nothing out of the ordinary but the usual standard. Tried the new menu with a jerk chicken meal which made a nice change. Think we’ll be avoiding the milk shakes in future - it’s like drinking gloop!!!!

It's A MACDONALDS it does what it says on the label. Great and convenient I like the ice creams and smoothies.

Its McD so as you would expect. Staff very friendly although they do need to clean the outside tables more frequently (tomato sauce soon becomes very tacky). No automated self service screens as being put into other McD that we have got used to. Also, remember to get a receipt and ,leave feedback - then get a BigMac and Fries for £1.99 (bargain)...

This establishment is a standard counter service outlet, but the plentiful staff were friendly and very swift with their service, so we didn't have to wait. The place was clean, tidy and no litter, parking is easy and is located between Morrisons and Lidle Supermarkets, in an easy to reach location. Adequate car parking is available, as is a drive-through. The toilet facility was very clean and looked as id it had recently been serviced.

Stopped at this McDonald's as a simple pit stop- coffee & toilet break. But have to say this is the BEST McDonald restaurant that I have ever been in. Staff incredibly friendly & helpful. Food looked as described on the picture - very tasty South Africa stack, most impressed - Coffee also very good. Can not praise this restaurant as good as I should - totally excellent in every aspect - they were totally spot on

I always visit when I am in the area as it is one of the better McDonalds, Its always tidy and the seem to take better care in preparing the food than some of the others I have been to

It was really convenient on our holiday to Minehead to pop in to McDonald's for food. It was very clean, which is due to the hard work by Karl & Jane. I really must say Jane made us feel very welcome and had far superior customer service skills than the staff serving the meals. Thank you.

Just Macdonalds, quick easy drive through, chilly wraps are very good, and the best hot chocolate around.

Just visited this McDonalds with my family of six but was very disappointed with the service as the person serving us seemed very flustered and under pressure which made her mess our order up, at this time the restaurant was very busy as people were leaving Butlins but there didn't look like there was enough staff working to cope with things. As normal the food was great but having to wait 15 minutes for the food to come is not what we come to expect for McDonalds

It's always daunting taking four young kids into any place, especially after being cooped up in a car for several hours.The staff here were fantastic, the food was excellent, the service was excellent, I could leave it at that, but it was the little extra's, like my kids had the pancakes, the syrup was warm, nice touch. My toddler needed a bottle, I bought the milk from MacDonald's, they have it next to the juice. The nice touch on this? The staff warmed the bottle for us, by setting it in hot water for several minutes, they then delivered it to the table. Extremely grateful to them. Everything was absolutely fantastic, a lot of other MacDonald's restaurants, could learn a lot from this one, its a true flagship outlet. Well done.

felt a bit peckish so we walked up the Main Street looking for something to eat ( lunchtime approaching) nothing to tempt me so I thought haven't had a Macky Dee for ages or perhaps a KFC ( where in our Sixtey's so we can get away with this) googled both and found Macky's was close to us so off we went, short walk later outside resturant Dog sat down, wife went in to order, Staff were more Mature not your usual youngsters ( but not as old as me) bowl of water for Denzil as our food arrived smiles from the staff, full tum what more can you ask for £ 12.00 great value great happy staff when in Minehead would use again Thankyou Staff

As with most Mcdonalds you know exactly what you are going to get. This one is good most of the time and in a good location near the steam railway track.Ideal for the youngsters.Staff are not too friendly though.

I normally try to avoid McDonald's as I like my food but with two grandchildren with varying tastes this was an obvious choice and fair play. It was heaving in there but we got a table, got served and the food was OK. Service was speedy and everything was hot (not my usual experience) so well done Minehead. In a very busy time standards did not slip.

Visited whilst at Butlins for children's treat. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The restraunt was quiet so great for our group and apeared very clean. Food was usual Mac Donald's (not this chains biggest fan) however freshly cooked rather tasty and cheap so cannot complain.Would defiantly return

Below average restaurant compared to some others in the country. Staff seemed not that interested. Perhaps a week spent with the military might help
