McDonald's in Basildon

Tried chicken burgers and it was the worst one ever tried. It's inside mayflower retail park. Plenty of parking spaces . Never recommend the burgers.

Hello Basildon McDonald’s, I really enjoyed my food tonight, although the servers were down which made it harder to order my food, it was made up with a free meal sat on the counter which I took, a few notes woukd be make food left on the counter hot because the cold chips were not nice. Absolute shambles. Stopped here late on a long drive with an app order. Was told the systems were down for 30 mins so no food. I was annoyed but happy to wait 30 mins for food to feed my hungry family and continue my 4 hour drive. I was told that with the system update my order would not be fulfilled and I would be refunded. It was likely they did not want my business there? 4 months later and I tried this place again. Such slow service, 20 minute wait for a basic order and the transgender person who eventually served me was so rude.

The food was wrong, the chips was cold. I'm trying ringing for 1 hour and a 1/2.

No complaints about the food but coffee was just watery... ...at 2am maybe it's expected 😬

Visited at 1am. Nearly half an hour parked waiting for food. When it arrived it was all cold. Quarter pounder, fries and nuggets ALL cold. I couldn’t go back and challenge as I was on a work break and needed to go back. Awful !!

Atmosphere was awesome as it was so quiet 👌 Food delivered quickly and politely 👍🏼

After being the only car in the drive through this morning at 9:00am, we ordered our food and was given the complete wrong meal, having then driven off 30 minutes to our destination we could not go back and ask for our correct meal. This is so upsetting due to them not being very busy and being previously impolite when saying “speak up” to my fiancée when they couldn’t hear him through the drive through.

Waited for table service for over 30 minutes and food was cold as it was left on the collection side

Very clean space compared to any other McDonald's I've ever been to. Very nice people also there.

One of the better McDonald's in Essex, relatively large relative to the location. It's just across the retail park. Staff are very friendly, especially Thomas who I have met at this location multiple times. The food is very similar to other McDonald's restaurants.

Been many times, a lot of the times food items have been missing but they are quick to fix

Don't bother it takes them half an hour to do 2 big mac meals a philly steak meal and a quatrer meal just leave you sitting on the car park servicing all the people who ordered after you. I will never go here again.

STAY AWAY! The worst McDonald’s I’ve ever had, All the food that came was cold and the milkshake was two thirds full, asked for extra onion no pickles, got all the pickles and no onion, my girlfriend had a pre bitten bite out of her burger, chips were lifeless with no salt, surprised the fruit shoot that come wasn’t empty, poor excuse of a fast food place & workers who clearly don’t care about you or the hygiene levels of the restaurant. Do not eat from here!!

Check your drive through order, its wrong / missing items more often that it's right.

Discussing eating out side as the man tells me he can’t find my address I called back he said he was here he was not and ignored my call no good delivered. I want all my money.

When I first placed my order it said 35 minutes but then ended up over an hour late. When the food arrived it was cold and needed reheating in the microwave.

One star, if you are not 24h for all customers, mark It! and do not waste ours times. Rest star don't know, i was not served.

Good bunch of staff. Frankie is the best one by far. He is on nights and always happy, goes the extra mile!! Can't praise him enough. In event of complaint, managers deal with it swiftly and well mannered way. Can't fault this branch.

1hr 40mins to deliver, food stone cold, absolute joke

A year ago, I gave 5 stars. Not this year. I've no idea what has changed but they appear to be totally incapable of getting ANY part of the order right. Who would order a Quarter Pounder with Cheese WITHOUT the cheese? Who would order a chicken burger with no mayo and 2x lettuce to get one with 2x mayo? No-one. That's who.

not 1 of my sauces come with my food that I ordered

Items were missing. The only hot item that arrived was stone cold. The driver was late and went the completely wrong way to what the map said. I am disappointed and would like a full refund. Ridiculous

Order was 10 mins late, not too bad for a Saturday but when it did arrive there were several items missing and the burgers, chips and chicken selects were all stone cold!!

Once again pulled in the drive through for breakfast and once again no sausage in my egg and sausage muffin. Third time and definitely the last time absolute joke I’m sure they do it on purpose, I was the only car in the drive through so they weren’t busy just pure lazy or maybe do it for a laugh. Went in again today 11/03/25 6am I ordered two egg and sausage muffin meals and both came with no sausage. Absolutely useless this place probably about the 10th time now and always the same old crap.

Had a breakfast this morning, first they lost our order then when the food came it was cold and dry. Usually ok in this place but not today.

I had a great experience at this McDonald's! The service was fast, the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was fresh and hot. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy my meal. Even during busy times, the team handled everything smoothly, and I didn't have to wait long for my order. Overall, a really positive visit - I'll definitely be coming back!

So first off the ordering system would not give me a receipt. I got this sorted at the counter. Now onto the so called food - The chips were cold. Burger was average. Very expensive. Over £8 for a chicken burger and chips. Very Salty and when you read the ingredients list it is not good news. Would have been much better value at the local chippy. It's been about 10 years since my last mcdonalds and it will probably be another 10 until the next one.

The food arrived cold and the delivery guy had the McDonalds bags just sitting in the boot of his car, not in a bag to retain the meal hot, was stone cold by the time it arrived, annoyed that you only get 2 quid back for a complaint of a cold meal.

The worst McDonald's for delivery drivers. They are extremely very rude up to the managers. NEVER EVER ORGANISED. They keep customers food while drivers are waiting, and if you dare call their attention, you get the rudeness and at the end they give you cold customer food

Went to drive through and after a ridiculous wait finally got to the kiosk to order. 2 cars ordered before me in the second lane before I was served. Already not happy, after confirming my order and paying £14 for double quarter pounder meal and chicken sandwich meal, I got home and too my lovely surprise in my bag was a double cheese burger, chicken mayo and 1 chips. Absolute PISSTAKE!! Even worse this food was cold too. Third time this has happened to me on their late service. Avoid!!!
