McDonald's in Barnsley

I went to this McDonald’s today and placed an order through the drive through, we waited at the window for a while and then the person serving walked straight away without giving us chance to check. After driving away and checking I realised that my order was missing two items so had to go inside to get them. There was nobody on the counter and already some other people waiting so had to shout for someone to come. She was then very rude and asked what was missing and then went to get it and then slammed it on the counter and just walked away without saying anything or apologising for there being missing items. This isn’t the first time this has happened this McDonald’s always misses items from orders

Went to the drive through last evening 3/1/25 @ 19.37 and a lady took our order.completly efficient but more important had the friendly welcome and tone so much lacking these days. When taking our money she was so polite and friendly my husband and I both said together "what fabulous service with a smile". Not saying that other staff hadn't but " Jean (we found out her name) had that extra and made you feel valued as a customer. We just want to say thank you to Jean. Great Ambassador for the company...thank you Jean. Xxxx

Over 1 hour of waiting for food. Breakfast turned into dinner. It’s beyond a joke. Also received no straws. We’ve had problems before and last time we called they put phone down. Extremely ignorant and don’t recommend.

I’ve had two bad experiences with this specific McDonald’s restaurant. I ordered a lot of food to be delivered. After a long wait I received 1 small Cola. That’s it. Nothing else. Common sense should jump in here. Another time, a couple of years ago, a member of staff I assumed was a manager, was being really rude to one of the delivery guys. He didn’t speak very good English but you could tell what he was saying. She was making out she couldn’t understand him. He was telling her something about an order he was picking up to take. She was leaning over to him and screaming in his face. When he left, she said something to another member of staff about him being stupid. Everyone was in disbelief. I wish I’d said something to her. It still irritates me to this day.

Service little slow but staff are nice,j av a good laugh with a few of them,food is better since its been refurbished

Still Uber Eats etc take priority. Only me ordered and had to wait 15 minutes for it to be ready

Genuinely got to be the worst maccies in the UK. Cold and dry no matter if you order in store or through delivery. Never ever give you sauces that you pay for. Can not stress how bad this Maccies is. Would rather pay £10 for somebody to punch my jaw off clean. 100x over. That’s right. I would rather spend £1000 on somebody knocking me out consistently 100 times, than simply going through thr gruel of asking for some warm food from an ACTUAL food restaurant. Don’t expect much from ordering a maccies. But warm and edible is minimum. Stairfoot maccies though. My goodness. Would have to pay me 100 food to eat from there again.

Long waiting times. Last time I was stuck waiting for happy meal for 20 mins. I’ve ordered shake today which I was waiting for 15 mins in a queue. Then ordered big tasty separately and 10 mins after having it done (approx 7 mins waiting time which is fine) I’ve opened it and it was cold. You need to work on few bits coz that’s not something I’d expect from well known restaurant chain. I go to McDonald’s to get tasty food quicker than 20 mins for simple not complicated meals.

20 minutes for a cheese burger…. This is not fast food. All McDonald’s cares about is online orders not actual people coming into the restaurant. Ronald McDonald heres an idea get some more staff!

Awful carpark (small and unclear). Unsafe location. Food is food!

Chips in Happy Meals were like warm

Used the drive through yesterday. The order was correct and hot with little waiting time. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Ordered on Just eat. To my place of work, I’m 5 month pregnant driver only handed me my milkshake. I asked where the other bag was said it was the only thing he was handed and to ring to place. I’ve tried to ring them 7 times and the phone keeps getting ended now stuck at work at 11 at night with no food. Do not recommend. Requested a refund of off just eat. Apparently it’s under review not happy at all.

If I didn't have grandkids you would not find me here if I could help it. I find the McDonald's idea yuk. Queue up. Pay. Wait for food. Try to find table . Eat a warm meal and the clear your own table. Might as well eat at home. Better food too. Mind you they are very popular for others. Daily chicken wraps are good value Been in again with the grandkids. Dirty tables. Spilt sauce on floor. Paper everywhere. Slow orders. No ice cream. Reported sauce on floor to staff and it was ignored. Didn't seem to be enough staff. Not for me

Inside was duscusting it's stinks not good sauce in the bathroom floor all over the walls all over the windows duscusting I will not be bot be back at this mcdonalds

Absolutely disgusting ,the place was dirty ,toilets unclean ,sauce and rubbish thrown all over ,and no clean tables

The Resturant was filthy sauce everywhere dirty tables slow service it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days was honestly gross would have just left if I hadn't ordered food

Can’t give less than 1 star, but I would do! Every table full of waste and left litter, seats stained and dirty, floor was covered also! GROSS 🤢 Been in here 10 mins waiting for food to arrive and that is table service inside.

Absolutely disgusting, ordered £30 worth of food delivery driver shows up with only drinks in hand. Said he couldn’t do anything about it and to ring mcdonald’s went down to mcdonald’s they said “once the delivery driver touches it, it’s nothing to do with them”. Stood there early in morning with 4 drinks in my hand like an idiot it’s absolutely slack. Gets home no contact number for uber rang mcdonald’s app spoke to a woman, refund issued of £8. Rang again different woman said email is wrong and on her end it’s £19? £19? 3rd times it’s happened absolutely disgusting. Turned around to her and said so it’s £11 for 4 small drinks i don’t think so. She said only can do a partial refund, ended phone. Don’t order from here because people can’t manage to put food in a bag and give it to a delivery driver, absolutely disgusting.

the shittest mcdonald’s i have been to. why on gods green earth did i wait 30 minutes for some chicken nuggets and cheese bites. also might be better if u actually speak to ur customers to help solve the issue rather than blatantly ignore them. grow up honestly

Food came late and was freezing and also missing half of order

To say its recently been refurbished it wasn't very clean.

Don't bother Over a 20 mins wait for breakfast order to be made, at least the mcdeliveries were going out like clock work though. Then missing items and eat in order came bagged up. Incompetence at a new level Brand new restaurant, air charges don't work, tables with do not use signs in, no one cleaning or clearing tables which are available. No pots for sauces available or serviettes

Thursday night totally waste of time, more than 25 minutes waiting for our order. I was seeing the manager coming around without doing any work or helping. 1 star is too much..

BEST CHIPS EVER! Maccies chips are always hit and miss but this time they were HOT, FRESH and FULL TO THE BRIM! Also the rest of the food was nice and hot and the server james was very friendly. Could have been a bit cleaner and there wasn't napkins but apart from that 10/10

Been down 3 times since the refurbishment,the lattes taste totally different like it’s burnt. Gave them another go a few days after same again,and when I told person who served me,they said that were having issues with the new machines. So when again few days later still same and the breakfast wrap I got was shocking. Looked like it had been sat on when I opened it. I’ve now given up and go to town centre one instead.

A standard McDonalds experience

I'm shocked and appalled at the macdonald's as not only where we wait for ages our food was cold and our large chips was missing but the member of staff that served us was extremely rude it's a shame as before the remodeling the place was quite nice and I'd never had an unpleasant experience however since the remodeling I've never had a nice let alone positive time at that macdonald's

Unhealthy but relatively tasty. Recently reduced portions.

Please hire people who can do there job. How hard to put correct items in the bag. Missing items & not the 1st time, jesus christ. Frustrating when you have half your meal.

A young man with glasses rushed me to get my take away order from counter , but he wouldn’t give me straw , and syrup for pancakes .Waited 15 mins for pancakes and McMuffin were cold plus NO SYRUP. I left the house at7am just for them to. Very disappointing I don’t recommend food isn’t fresh and bad serving

Just been around on my break, ordered food on app, went through drive through to get it as soon as possible, I was told to park up, so I did. 20 minutes later food still not turned up despite the fact all other cars were already served, even the ones that pulled up after me. I went back in not wanting my food anymore as I almost finished my break. Got a refund. What a waste of time. Very unhappy. Not going there anymore.

The food was not worth feeding to the pigs. Long waiting time from ordering and when it arrived it was stone cold to eat. Really poor experience and would advise to stay away

every time I order, the fries are soft, there is no ketchup, and they do not give straws for drinks or for the Shake.

Went to drive thru and despite being empty and not a single vehicle waiting behind me I was asked to park up which I did and food was brought out almost straight away I then had to spend more time reversing back to the position I was previously in just to escape the parking bay which all seemed very pointless. But to top it all off, once I got home to eat, I realised my order was wrong. After 10 failed attempts to contact the store, I had to raise a complaint with customer services. Very small car park.

I went inside to the counter to order a mcflurry . I waited 15 minutes and I asked where it was. She got a manager and he said sorry pal it's not working. At this point I've been waiting 20 mins for an ice cream. He said you can have a refund or something different. Well considering I have coeliac disease. the ice cream is really the only thing I can safely eat.

i could go to the drive thru and order just 1 cold, floppy fry thats been sat on the counter for 2 hours and id still have to pull up and wait. staff look fed up, nobody cares, cold food, sparkling water instead of sprite! thank you! you made me realise i never want a maccys ever again. its just not the same, its just not mcdonalds anymore. pretty much the same at any of them nowadays!

What were they thinking with the outside area? right next to the trans Pennine trail and they make the outside area so small and make sure cyclists have no where to put their bikes, not heard a good word about the place since the revamp, I won't be visiting any more and I'm sure a lot of passing trade from the trans Pennine trail will be the same. And the inside isn't any better no where to stand while waiting for food any more.

Closed for months to make it more efficient (waiting 20-40 minutes every time for the order to come out) and it's opened and yet still having to sit and wait for 20 minutes and the food is cold. It's not the restaurant, it's the staff that's in efficient and incompetent.

Went to the drive thru, was told to park up and promptly forgotten about for 25mins, very poor service.

Delivery order missing 1x happy meal, no option on the app to claim money back or have one delivered they just say to contact uber eats. This is not an uber eats issue as the bags were sealed, this is a restaurant issue not checking orders before they go out. Won't be using the app again or ordering from/ visiting this restaurant.

Harriett was very polite and has very good customer service. She had a big smile on her face 24/7 and was clearly happy to be there. She was very fast at what she was doing and had very clear communication skills. would definitely go again just from her enthusiastic service.

Never any milkshakes available. I recently ordered food at the drive through using the McDonald’s app. I was asked to wait in a parking bay and ended up waiting 20 minutes for my food to be brought out to me. Ridiculous service. Suppose to be a fast food place. I would get my food faster in a normal restaurant.

Ordered through Uber eats missed every hash brown off every single meal that comes with the meal rang 6 times no answer but still happy enough to take money

Fast food, not a chance. Visited this place and had to wait 25 minutes for food. The just eat and uber eat brigade have ruined Maccies. It's about time Maccies built separate places for online deliveries, then leaving the restaurants to serve "fast food" again.

First time in ages had hot fries from a McDonalds, they're usually cold when we get them. Not visited this McDonalds in ages. Nice and welcome change. Efficient service. Pleasant and friendly. Would recommend.

We never learn, that or we are incredibly unlucky. Ordered happy meals for the kids and again they weren't with the order! Just eat were involved too so can't lay all the blame with McDonald's today. But a one off maybe twice we all know mistakes can happen. But this is beyond ridiculous when it's happening every second order! You need to employ someone that there wholejob is to make sureevery item is in the actual order drinks are here but that's no good without the FOOD!! we don't drive or I would never order this way again bring back the munchies man Please

10pm tues 05/03/2024. Cold chips cold burger stairfoot drive thru Barnsley. Even had to get out of car after checking orders in car & go back has was 1 large fries short on order. Worst McDonald's ive been to this year.

Do not buy vegetarian food from here. As we did. They fried mine in the same oil as the meat. I won't be going back there.

This McDonald’s used to be great now it’s rubbish. Service is slow because of all the just eat and drliveroo people. The car park was full because of these people. The food was 20 mins before we got it and it was cold. Could not get into the disabled parking because of drive through people waiting for deliveries. The food was cold. The McCrispy is getting smaller and so is the fries portion. Don’t think we will come again

Been to this McDonald's Many times now as I usually stop here from a break cycling. Today I was greeted by a lady who cleans around and also another gentleman who asked if everything was ok, I thought it quite strange however it was a very Nice touch to my experience today, well done Stairfoot Barnsley McDonald's TOP MARKS..👍👍🚴‍♂️🐅

Never got McFlurrys on, last 3 times i’ve been they’ve not had them on.

Food was appalling. Soggy cold chips and burgers were disgusting. Milkshakes looked like they had been stood around for a week .... avoid this place , I will never buy food from them again.

I ordered a Mcdelivery from Wombwell Lane Mcds in Barnsley& when it arrived there was no pancake & syrup & not only that we also ordered a Mighty Muffin with no egg & guess what it came with egg when the person who ordered no egg is allergic to egg so could not eat it..Not only have I lost nearly £10 but nearly £4 delivery for it to be inedible.Wow never again..Also did you know the Mcds app for delivery is Uber & not Mcds so you have to speak to them about your order so basically Mcds app is a total waste of time.

Really slow on answering the drive through when you pull up, and you always always have to pull up and wait to day its fast food.

Why can you never ever get deliveries right, I think in the last year I've had one that's perfect you. Food Is normally cold by the time it gets here and we only live about 10 minutes away. You ALWAYS forget sauces even when they're an add on for a meal like 20 nuggets and you never include straws with drinks....like where is the logic in that? Is this McDonald's run by 12 year olds??? Actually no, 12 years olds would probably be more competent at this job. DO BETTER!

Absolutely terrible. Earlier on in the day i went and it took 20mins just to wait in the queue to get a wrap and a cup of tea. It was chaotic inside and outside as it was so busy, the drivethru was leading onto the street. My food was all squished and cold even when we had just got it. Then when we got home me, my brother, and my dad ordered some Mcdonalds and it took about 45minutes to come and when it came there was no chicken on my Dads chicken big mac just salad and we had no drinks or dips. The food was also cold.

Absolute shambles these past few months. Everytime I order I'm parked waiting for up to 25 minutes. Got my order today, missing hash brown (paid extra for) Missing extra sausage on my breakfast roll and instead given egg? Missing large drink (recieved medium not the large I ordered. I can understand busy periods but when i order at 7.45 am, how can everything be so wrong? I won't be returning, useless.

Spot on service was quick and efficient.

Why can't you ever get my order right. Wrong nearly 50% of the time and I only check 50% of the time. Endless disappointment. I've stopped complaining that it happens so often. My 7 year old could achieve better consistency of service.

I love McDonald's. This store was refurbished not so long since so it looks nice. There is very often a substantial wait, even when just ordering regular meals i.e. Big Mac meal, cheeseburgers etc. Also, whenever there is a special burger on i.e. Swiss Stack etc there is ALWAYS a wait on, even out of peak hours.

Entry and exit to car park is dangerous.

Ordered online, about 10-15 mins before arriving, so it would be quicker. Got there and car park was a nightmare. Went to drive thru and sat there for 5 mins, then when we got to window we were told to park up in a bay. There were no parking spots, assuming because everyone else had been told to park up aswell, and everyone was going wrong way. A delivery driver was parked in middle of exit to go inside and collect food, blocking way out. Once again waiting 5-10 mins for someone to bring our food. When we got it the burger part of the burger was missing! What's the point in a burger without any burger? Also, paid more for extra cheese and didn't get it. I know it's just McDonald's, but overall super disappointing experience.

Been here a few times and always something wrong with the order, delivery takes over an hour too if you don’t go to drive thru. I’d suggest going to the Tankersley one or the one next to Morrisons in town because Stairfoot is the worst McDonalds I’ve been to

Regular customer as this is well on my way. Food is freshly cooked to order most of the times and there is very little way if you go in store. Drive through is very busy most of the times so I don't even bother. Small car park so it can be difficult to park sometimes

Ordered online with deliveroo last few times there's been things missing, ordered mcnugget happy meals came with no nuggets, how do I explain that to my children!! last few times ordered at stairfoot there's stuff missing, going down hill fast !!

Ordered £66 worth of food payed extra for milkshakes, dips and full fat coke to receive by Uber driver he said drinks are in the bag however upon going to eat the meals we notice none of anyone’s drinks have arrived neither the dips we payed extra for. Rang the driver back he coke back proved he had no drinks in the vehicle and to contact the McDonald directly which I did in which they recon she was on the desk at the time and he definitely toke them! So both playing each other off declined any refund for the drinks or dips so eat all the meals dry and cold by the time we tried sorting out the mess they caused! Disappointed is an understatement
