Food ruined overcooked cold. Worse mcdonalds i know

Food was cold again, took nearly 20 minutes to get the order out, hot chocolate tasted like dishwater, replacement food had to be asked for more than once. Not enough staff and only 1 doing the orders. Tables dirty and bags of rubbish left by the bins.

Show orders as ready for collection but still waiting 15 minutes later. Likely they do this to up their order time fulfilment targets. Not impressed

I do not recommend this McDonald’s franchise, the staff are undertrained and have no time for you, the food is well below standard, usually cold and the waiting mostly inside is long winded. If you get the correct order you’l mostly find under cooked chips, shrivelled burgers and chicken nuggets that are so soft, rubbery and cold, you would think they were cooked the previous week and left on the shelf. Iv been to many McDonald’s being on the road for my work and there are much better franchises than this one. Very poor!

Hugely disappointed by the quality of the food served. Not in line with the standards that McDonald’s once held.

Very good service, breakfast was freshly cooked, muffins nice and soft not burned. Plenty of parking spaces.

Took half hour to make a pretty easy order, realised when I got home that a quarter of my order was missing, and what wasn’t missing then made me ill anyway

Ordered 2 x hamburgers, 1 x coffee and 1 apple pie ...... these would of been warmer straight out of the fridge, waited half an hour for these, asked for heated replacements, and got told they were busy ....... get more staff? The takeaway was full, people bringing back cold food one after another after another, total shambles, the franchise should be ashamed, got a refund and left!

No signal here so couldn't use my app, the coke was 3/4 filled which was frustrating and had to get them to fill it up properly otherwise prompt service

I ordrered a sausage egg muffin without the egg I asked if my order it's correct ,they said yes When my daughter's friend open her bag the sausage muffin had the egg in Why they don't pay attention at their job....

worst mcdonald’s in Essex by all accounts - i can see why, massive wait for food, nothing fast about it. Multiple people returning with wrong orders while we were waiting.

Fast tasty, as expected, McDonalds consistent standard. Nice to be able to wirelessly charge my phone. Car park here gets a but full though. Mozzarella dippers at the moment are delicious

Sorry everyone I’ve made a massive mistake …. I ordered for delivery Mcdonalds, I know I can hear you all saying why … waited hour and half and ended going to them, nothing they can do as it is down to Uber 😜 I ended up having to go home and had just been delivered nearly 2 hours after ordering and very cold, McDonald’s get rid of Uber pay and get drivers that may care about your customers, I will honestly never use again

WORST MCDONALDS EVER , we ordered 3 small mcflurrys and 2 double cheeseburgers and you'd think like oh it might take 5-10 mins to come.out it took 30 minutes! 30 minutes in the world's most noisy place horror!

22 mins for a 1 chicken mayo & 1 wrap... 27 mins for my mates 2 wraps... turnt to the crowd next to us and most of them had been waiting around 1hr... never seen anything like it

Paying window was shut so staff were surprised when we had to pay at the delivery window. Manager heard to state her upset.

Our order always has something missing and the last time we got the drinks but none of the burgers and one of the Big Macs had a burger missing. We’re going the extra distance to Chelmsford from now on.

They were 2 hours late with our food

Absolutely terrible. Waited well over half an hour for food. There is a wall so you cant see what's going on or flag anyone to see how long it will be. 3 people came up to complain while we were waiting, missing food, paper in the burger and only 2 chicken selects instead of 3. When we got our order, one big Mac had no sauce, all the burgers were cold. The chips were hot but had no salt on them and one of the cokes was only half full. Flurrys were melted when we got them and the full size ones were smaller than the small ones. By the time we got to the car and realised what was wrong with our order, really couldn't be bothered with the hassle of having to wait for ages to get someones attention so didn't go back in. I remember now why we stopped eating McDonalds! Staff need training and just a bit of get up and go, it's like they were all half asleep!

Absolute joke this place is Food is cold. Double big Mac turned up as a normal big Mac with no sauce in it. My four year old never received her nuggets. The waiting time was ridiculous and then to receive only half my order is a disgrace

Everybody loves a Maccy Ds but gone are the days of fast food. I use the drive thru on occasions and more often than not I have to wait for food. 13 minutes today! It's just not acceptable 😕 3.8.24 - No wait for food this time but 20 mins to get through just the ordering process. They have two lanes but still just one person taking the orders, so what's the point of two lanes!!

What is wrong with this place. I go here very rarely for myself, but occasionally get food with my kids. Tonight I ordered a double Big Mac, which is not hard to make in my eyes. They advised me to park up as they were too busy to deal with a normal Wednesday evening crowd. The food eventually turns up and we drive off home. Upon arriving and heating the food up as it was cold I open my burger to see my Big Mac instead of a double and strangely the lettuce around the burger I stead of in it. To add insult to injury there was no sauce. Is it that hard to make a burger or am I missing something here. If a manager reads this do contact me to discuss further and even gift me my burger as I have paid for it and not got it.

Take there time and always get your order wrong

Every time I’ve been here the food comes out cold, thrown together, sauce all over the bun. Drive through staff rude and dismissive serve every bag up with bad attitude. Absolute Garbage every time, the only thing there that’s done with consistency!

Very busy at the time so understandable but getting an order this easy wrong is not great. Get what you pay for I guess 🤷‍♂️

Don’t even deserve any stars at this point there was a girl on the till yesterday who’s says she’s the manger nails are filthy think she was digging up the potatoes for McDonald’s with all that dirt under there vile if you ask me especially if your serving out food maybe she needs to invest in a nail brush, also find all the staff rude they get your order wrong and expect you to park up and then we had to wait 20 minutes for a small cheeseburger joke !!!

Excellent service and food was quick, hot and fresh. This store gets a lot of bad press on social media, but today, it was like every other McDonald's.

Disgusting and dirty, bins overflowing, filthy floor, a group of yobs swearing and bottle flipping. No one on the floor cleaning. Absolutely vile!

Long wait time or food. Showed as ready to collect for about 10 mins with knowone on front till. Only one person seemed to be working, multiple workers walking round with hands in pockets. Manager walking around phone in one hand. Other in pocket not really paying attention or managing anyone. Poor, considering the price of a macdonalds meal these days

McDonald's was relatively quiet.still gad to wait quite a while just for 2 cups of tea.no food purchased.

We only used for takeaways but the amount of time, I've had to go back because they've missed something or got something wrong. Heard so many people say the same.

McD's is McD's.... really.... check your order before you leave though cos they get it wrong most of the time... again and again they mess up the order. Food is thrown together and often cold, often too much sauce. Service is often slow.. going downhill... update June 2024, getting worse!!

They normally get your drive thru order wrong so be sure to check what's in the bags, but they seem to have changed some staff so maybe that will change.

We visited yesterday (26 June) I don’t know quite what happened but there was a lot of people unhappy with waiting times and their orders. We waited 45 minutes I didn’t initially say anything as id heard others had waited this long However I then saw my order on the app said it had been collected which it hadn’t We spoke to a young girl who’s name I didn’t catch but she was a credit to the store and after looking at the order on my phone went and made the whole order again which was quite a large one and delivered it quickly.

Just got food from drive through food was cold n wrong burger . Time before apple pie missing n one chips missing . Won't be going again .

This is one of the very few fast food venues and it always is so chaotic. The staff obviously do not care for customer service and the restaurant is getting filthy each visit. My last visit I pointed out the fifth and the fact that sauces and napkins were on the floor in kitchen and staff were just walking over them, and the young lady laughed and said yeh it is pretty filthy!!! You have to check your order religiously as it is never correct??? Poor show whoever is in charge of maldon MD.

Such slow service, no one in the drive thru in the mornings and still take ages to serve you. Coffees are always nuke warm and taste vile.

Horrible place stoped in for dinner on are way to westmersea last night my wife orderd are food and the kids throw the app normal we get are food quite quickly not here waited about an hour in the end, they lost are order appently the machine went down, my wife went up after 20 min to see what was going on in the end they finaly write the order down after 40 min waiting for the manger to say to my wife I hear you have been rude but she was not thats why u have not got your food. He was the one that went on break when they were short staffed and was the rude one. The rest of staff looked like they didn't care or no what they were doing calling orders out and slamming food down on counter serving other people before us people were asking for refunds and one bloke payed and walked out they only cared about the drive throw. By the time we did get the food it was dry and horrible chips where tasteless. Would never eat here again.

Was quiet which was a plus. Opted for table service, they just yelled a number and left it on the counter. Wasn't even the right number.

Another poor review. drive thru customer, waited 20 mins in parked bay. Asked staff twice where our food was. Third enquiry the member of staff remade our order. Really poor customer service, would avoid if you want fast food.

Very small for a McDonald's. tables are clean but the floor needs a sweep or two. Very loud as well. Next to Tesco. Would recommend eating out then in. They had no apple pie but gave chocolate and raspberry pie instead.👍

It's a type of joke that I do not find funny at the end of a long day at work. Drove to the shop, spoke to a manager called Charlie who would certainly benefit from some additional customer relations training. I did hear him telling off the kitchen staff but at the same time, just before I left, you could hear giggling coming from the kitchen.

Not sure what to say everytime it seems really disorganised orders wrong I've even left with mine and some else's order in the past not complaining to much at that, but I've just overheard someone complaining they've been waiting 1 hour for food, I think maybe a upper management needs to come in and straighten this out it's a good ideal McDonald's can't fault the people working here they are all rushing around doing stuff but drive thru goes alot quicker than walk in I'm court between unhappy and it's okay, my legs hurt from standing waiting for to long but I know the food will be good in the end. Edit upset 35 minutes waiting had enough called a young man over to help me and 2 minutes later he got my food lord only knows what would have happened if I didn't ask for help defo recommend using the drive thru, dont use the click and collect, don't order for delivery through uber eats etc the amount of people I saw first hand come in and complain about it was amazing they were even giving people free food or refunds over 1 hour waiting for food with some people And to add insult to injury I got 8 nuggets in my 9 nugget order not best pleased today but tbh I'll probably be back another time for more late food lol

Never deliver and on rare occasions they do the food is wrong

PLEASE CLEAN YOUR TOILETS 🙏 came here today at around 11 o'clock and the women's toilets were honestly so so bad. I don't expect much from public toilets, ever, but a worker came out just before me so I assumed they'd just been cleaned and boy was I wrong! My partner also visited the men's loos before he left and mentioned they were awful as well.

Visiting Maldon and feeling hungry we decided to have a maccys. Food was fine, same as all the other maccys. Sadly the guy at the payment window wasn’t quite on the ball, our order for 2 meals came to £13.02. I handed him a £20 note & a 2p piece, after plenty of calculations as he gave me the change, I was asked if the £7 was correct, good thing I’m honest…

Orders always wrong, food always cold and extremely slow service.

Food was good quality, hot and fresh. Service quick and helpful. Restaurent and seating area clean and tidy. Atmosphere was a bit off putting as there was a very unhappy member of staff walking round and round the restaurant. Almost felt like they were expecting trouble (it was late in the evening) although the restaurant was quiet and only my husband and myself in there, made it feel not very welcoming

I had never seen the small print in the menu about adding salt and pepper after cooking beef patty well after my experience yesterday of an over salting episode in kitchen by new junior food prep. Will say the manager did deal with it accordingly but the taste buds were already ruined. Mcdonald's why add this seasoning? Its unnecessary and should be left to the customer who is eating the food.

Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been too, have tried this twice now. Waiting ages and then the food is wrong! Ordered the new quarter pounder with cheese deluxe and ended up with a dry bun and two patties nothing else…

Waited 28mins for food to come to bay 4. Walked in and asked only to find the bag sitting on side. Cold food warm boxes. Them had to wait 15mins to make 3 normal burgers again. Then burgers looked like they’ve been dropped on floor or thrown in the box from 6ft away. Absolutely terrible

Drive through cards were not working so had to park and go inside and use menu machines. No receipts were available. Had to remember what number. Small crowded waiting area people coming in placing orders after me and receiving theirs first. Car park rimmed I waited 30 mins for my food even though on the screen it had been saying collect. Had to ask staff member where my order was. Absolute shambles.

Double sausage and egg McMuffin missing.from delivery. Phoned store to be spoken to like dirt and no apology. They said take it up with Uber in a sarcastic voice. But it’s not Uber who messed up, it’s Maldon McDonald’s, again!! Seriously, sort yourselves out. If you can’t get a food order right at McDonald’s, there’s no hope for you.

Too often we have been told, at lunchtime, that no ice cream was available because the machine was being cleaned. This does appear to be not the best time to clean the ice cream machine.

Its just a lottery, are you feeling lucky? Today I was not lucky, I ordered 3 meals. I was only missing I portion of chips, but the other 2 large portions were lower than the lowest lip of the box's (they were luke warm at best and very swaety). Chips and lack of chips was biggest let down today. Maybe next time luck will be on my side and take me to somewhere different.

Absolutely hopeless Food is never ready

I have ordered fries and hamburger and was asked to park up 15mins ago!!!!!!!! It is McDonald’s if they don’t have burger and fries ready then what is the point!!! It’s arrived and it’s cold!!! Last time I eat here 🙁

The worst Mcdonalds I've ever been to. The food is terrible and service is even worse. Had to wait for 30 mins at drive through and when i got my order it had items missing. Looking at other reviews I'm surprised this place hasn't been shut down.

Went through drive thru. Got a few burgers. Threw into bin. The meat was burned with black bits in them. It’s like the grill needs cleaning desperately. Considering we came at midnight. Wasn’t a good experience. If we didn’t drive home with the food. I would’ve gone back.

Absolutely terrible. I've never once had a good experience with them in the past year. Everyone I know avoids them unless they have absolutely no choice. Food arrives late, cold and with multiple items missing. Good luck if you want to call them to find out where your order is (or why it's been "preparing" for over an hour) because they never answer their phone. Easily the worst McDonald's in Essex.

Went to drive through, no flurries again, ordered quater pounder cheese meals fries were soggy and weird taste completely inedible burgers were cold, will not be going there again

The quality is not good these days!, seems like the food is consistently colder in temperate and takes longer to get, the patties are also dry or poorly assembled sloppier made with cheese and bits !…I’m not sure if they’ve changed a in internal procedure on the beef side of things, but it’s not good.. problem is they’re all like this now!

Went with my 2 kids for a fun day out , employee by the name of marley Johnson entered the toilet of which my 2 children were occupying , I walked in there and saw marley Johnson fiddling with my sons Willy and the other up his bum , I then went to find a manager and came back to him licking the toilet seat that my children sat on !

Just had the worst Mc Donald’s ever . The fries were pale and floppy , most were about an inch long , the burgers looked liked they’d been dropped from a great height and were over cooked but cold ! No ice in either cokes . Absolutely disgusting. And I hear this isn’t unusual .

Well since the refurbishment this branch has gone majorly down hill in service and food quality if you go into the restaurant. the drive thru now get priority over sit in customers and it shows with how long you can wait to be served your food. when it does arrive its usually tepid at best if not cold. The front desk is rarely manned by any staff unless giving out food, then they dissappear before you can get their attention. It's a shame as we liked this one, but will just travel the extra to go to Boreham or Tollgate instead.

I cannot comment on the food, every time I have been to get food there’s been an issue! I’ve lived in Maldon a little over a year and I have tried this ‘restaurant’ 8 times. Not once have I managed to get food. Tonight I have been told the wait is 45-60 mins as the system is updating. Bring me a local Burger King and stick a finger to the McFuckalls.

My granddaughter has the app so you can find a table, order and then have your food delivered. I think that's very clever. The staff were friendly and the food scrummy, as usual.
