Would not eat a Maccie Ds by choice!

Not very busy but service for customers inside restaurant was poor. Long waiting times, 20 plus minutes. Our order was forgotten and when we chased it up it turned up cold. The drive through orders seemed to take priority over the restaurant. This is not the first time we’ve had cold food here. We weren’t the only dissatisfied customers. We won’t be using this restaurant again. No stars awarded and it certainly wasn’t fast food!!!!

Absolutely awful, wasn't given a receipt so when we drove out and realised the order was wrong, missing the cheeseburger, when we went straight back to tell them we had to pay for another one!! Also the fries and burger when we did get it where stone cold. Totally peed of by then and gave up. We won't come to this one again in a hurry

Popped in to get my daughter a quick dinner on the way home. What a complete joke. No milkshakes or sprite at 9 on a Friday night. Then have to wait over 20 minutes in the car park for the food to not turn up. Had to go over to the window to see what was going on. Kitchen was full of people standing around not knowing what is going on. Another 10 minutes later I managed to wave a member of staff down wandering around the car park. Had the right food but wrong reg on the paperwork. How hard is this really?

I do not know how useless the staff are ordered a triple cheeseburger got a double wrapped with a triple sticker also ordered an apple pie that was not in the bag either

Won’t sell you 3 selects if they have no boxes and refuse to use a box for 5 which they did have. Went for a double cheeseburger with no pickles as was in drive through and they gave me a plain. What a joke

I don't understand why Maldon McD is so much worse than others, ever since the refurbishment- new ownership? Actually, I think I know- Understaffed. No one on front desk. All Staff are junior, no management. Most orders are wrong or incomplete and it takes ages to resolve for above reasons.

Uber eats now bringing the authentic maldon McDonald’s experience right to your door. Now featuring missing items and cold burgers that look like they were involved in a car crash, when they were contacted they just hung up phone. There should be a special award for uselessness for this place 🏆

Food served hot and fresh. Service Quick, polite and friendly. Relatively full. Families, small groups all enjoying some quality time. We dropped in for a snack before going to elstree

The taste of the food has improved, but the coffee and hot chocolate are not very nice, I think they are burning the coffee as it so hot. Since my last visit I can say things have improved by appox. 70% the food is now lovely most of the coffee has got better but the black coffee still needs some work done to improve it, it is still too strong they must be wasting money 💰 giving it away when they get that right it will be a winner 🏆 Visited the restaurant yesterday and I can honestly say the food and coffee have Improved well done to the people who sort things out I can now give you 95%, it just leaves the staff that work at the drive through windows asked to carry out a small request and get it right and you will receive 100%.

Never great service. Since the refurb they expect you to order on the screens, never any staff. Orders are often wrong, so need to check. Not local issue, but app often doesn't work properly!

They definitely have a rat in there kitchen 😆told them about the rats in there drive through didn’t look too bothered and not very talkative 🗣️ there is a rats in the drive through what are they going too do 🎶

went 2 feb 2025 had takeaway ordered 1 large quarter pounder with cheese meal and bbq ranch stack got 2 large quarter pounder with cheese meals and 3 chicken strips MCDONALDS SHOULD PUT A LUCKY DIP ON THE MENU it would be more accurate

Has to be one of the worst Mcdonald's brances in the UK they never get an order right, staff act like everything is too much trouble. Food is often cold. They ignore requests for no ice or no lettuce. Captive audience really it's the only reason they're still in business.... Better off driving to Boreham!!

It was nobody to order take way , just wait 15 min and nobody was even bother to take my order , sitting there talking on the microphone with nobody, after that I parked the car and went inside, i had to wait 45 min to get my food , and it was all cold, I will never go there again.

Without doubt the slowest McDonalds in Essex. Food quality is ok but presentation is poor, the lettuce etc all over the bottom of the box. Wrap of the day covered with so much chilli sauce almost inedible. Really worth going elsewhere in Maldon.

Got a drive through with 2 Big Mac and one McCrispy burger meals and they can’t even get the burger amounts right. Counting to Three is beyond there capabilities. Check every order as they will balls it up, Totally Useless

We came in for lunch today Sunday 19th January 2025, and my friends order was wrong, so he took it back and a lovely man called Bill came over with it and he said how sorry for the mix up etc.. I did hear Bill talking to some other customers near us, us there order was missing something, so Bill went and sorted it out. I feel you are very lucky to have such a wonderful person Bill working for you. He definitely needs a big pat on back. We look forward to visiting again and hope to see Bill.

Worst McDonald’s in the country I reckon. Worst I’ve ever been to. They have re branded it slow food I think. Unorganised chaos everywhere. Terrible establishment.

Advertise delivery, yet no delivery drivers for 2 days on their app or Uber, if you can't fulfill the deliver you should remove it as an option!

Placed an order 18.20 food finally got delivered 20.18 Obviously food was cold and thrown away Ended up ordering a pizza Tried to call to complain but not answering the phone First and last time I order from them £24 wasted and didn’t get to eat until 9pm Thank you McDonalds for a crap service.

An absolute appalling service. Decided to go into the store to order. Had to wait 27 minutes for food which then come out and was cold. Staff were not interested will never visit Maldon McDonald’s again.

There is something really wrong here. Whether you go to the store, or get delivery, something will go wrong. Visiting this particular McDonalds will fill you with regret. Find a different franchise

Well that just happened. Just brought my boys to maccies to celebrate their achievements this year. Well I was shocked to be blindly robbed. I order two Chicken share boxes and four chips, enough for all of us. You wouldn’t have enjoyed to see my face when I discovered that we only had one box and one chips. Well that was a night not so well spent. Don’t come here if you would like to eat what you paid for. If there chicken wasn’t so scrumptious I wouldn’t have gave any stars.

ordered breakfast at 10:55 sat in a queue around drive thru, only to get to the payment window at 11:01 and be told they have none left and i’m too late. clearly have food left just want to switch over to lunch menu sooner and cba to cook anymore. what’s the point of letting someone order just to decline them at the next window. absolute joke

Slowest Mcdonalds ever, 45mins for 1 big mac that came out wrong anyway. Left my food sitting getting cold while I waited. New food came eventually and was bussin tbf

A local McDs with a Drive Through.

I've been going to the Harvester for years. The Reading Branch is amazing. The mansion House is old and holds alot of Historical memories for Reading. Anyway the service is always amazing, especially if you get Kathryn. Wow waht an amazing lady, always happy to help in any situation. Kathryn retires soon and has serviced us for 17 yrs. They are the worst McDonald's that I have ever seen. The staff is very slow and disrespectful. They asked me today to wait more than 5 minutes for an apple pie.

Worst McDonald’s I’ve been to. As it’s the only McDonald’s in Maldon I’ve visited a few times - never had a positive experience. Never have milkshakes Food always cold Slowest drive through Employees don’t care, often swearing and joking around in the background Twice I’ve been turned away saying they can’t take orders at the moment. Food was cold again, took nearly 20 minutes to get the order out, hot chocolate tasted like dishwater, replacement food had to be asked for more than once. Not enough staff and only 1 doing the orders. Tables dirty and bags of rubbish left by the bins.

Show orders as ready for collection but still waiting 15 minutes later. Likely they do this to up their order time fulfilment targets. Not impressed

I do not recommend this McDonald’s franchise, the staff are undertrained and have no time for you, the food is well below standard, usually cold and the waiting mostly inside is long winded. If you get the correct order you’l mostly find under cooked chips, shrivelled burgers and chicken nuggets that are so soft, rubbery and cold, you would think they were cooked the previous week and left on the shelf. Iv been to many McDonald’s being on the road for my work and there are much better franchises than this one. Very poor!

Hugely disappointed by the quality of the food served. Not in line with the standards that McDonald’s once held.

Very good service, breakfast was freshly cooked, muffins nice and soft not burned. Plenty of parking spaces.

Took half hour to make a pretty easy order, realised when I got home that a quarter of my order was missing, and what wasn’t missing then made me ill anyway

Ordered 2 x hamburgers, 1 x coffee and 1 apple pie ...... these would of been warmer straight out of the fridge, waited half an hour for these, asked for heated replacements, and got told they were busy ....... get more staff? The takeaway was full, people bringing back cold food one after another after another, total shambles, the franchise should be ashamed, got a refund and left!

No signal here so couldn't use my app, the coke was 3/4 filled which was frustrating and had to get them to fill it up properly otherwise prompt service

I ordrered a sausage egg muffin without the egg I asked if my order it's correct ,they said yes When my daughter's friend open her bag the sausage muffin had the egg in Why they don't pay attention at their job....

Fast tasty, as expected, McDonalds consistent standard. Nice to be able to wirelessly charge my phone. Car park here gets a but full though. Mozzarella dippers at the moment are delicious

Sorry everyone I’ve made a massive mistake …. I ordered for delivery Mcdonalds, I know I can hear you all saying why … waited hour and half and ended going to them, nothing they can do as it is down to Uber 😜 I ended up having to go home and had just been delivered nearly 2 hours after ordering and very cold, McDonald’s get rid of Uber pay and get drivers that may care about your customers, I will honestly never use again

WORST MCDONALDS EVER , we ordered 3 small mcflurrys and 2 double cheeseburgers and you'd think like oh it might take 5-10 mins to come.out it took 30 minutes! 30 minutes in the world's most noisy place horror!

22 mins for a 1 chicken mayo & 1 wrap... 27 mins for my mates 2 wraps... turnt to the crowd next to us and most of them had been waiting around 1hr... never seen anything like it

Paying window was shut so staff were surprised when we had to pay at the delivery window. Manager heard to state her upset.

Our order always has something missing and the last time we got the drinks but none of the burgers and one of the Big Macs had a burger missing. We’re going the extra distance to Chelmsford from now on.

They were 2 hours late with our food

Absolutely terrible. Waited well over half an hour for food. There is a wall so you cant see what's going on or flag anyone to see how long it will be. 3 people came up to complain while we were waiting, missing food, paper in the burger and only 2 chicken selects instead of 3. When we got our order, one big Mac had no sauce, all the burgers were cold. The chips were hot but had no salt on them and one of the cokes was only half full. Flurrys were melted when we got them and the full size ones were smaller than the small ones. By the time we got to the car and realised what was wrong with our order, really couldn't be bothered with the hassle of having to wait for ages to get someones attention so didn't go back in. I remember now why we stopped eating McDonalds! Staff need training and just a bit of get up and go, it's like they were all half asleep!

Absolute joke this place is Food is cold. Double big Mac turned up as a normal big Mac with no sauce in it. My four year old never received her nuggets. The waiting time was ridiculous and then to receive only half my order is a disgrace

Everybody loves a Maccy Ds but gone are the days of fast food. I use the drive thru on occasions and more often than not I have to wait for food. 13 minutes today! It's just not acceptable 😕 3.8.24 - No wait for food this time but 20 mins to get through just the ordering process. They have two lanes but still just one person taking the orders, so what's the point of two lanes!!

What is wrong with this place. I go here very rarely for myself, but occasionally get food with my kids. Tonight I ordered a double Big Mac, which is not hard to make in my eyes. They advised me to park up as they were too busy to deal with a normal Wednesday evening crowd. The food eventually turns up and we drive off home. Upon arriving and heating the food up as it was cold I open my burger to see my Big Mac instead of a double and strangely the lettuce around the burger I stead of in it. To add insult to injury there was no sauce. Is it that hard to make a burger or am I missing something here. If a manager reads this do contact me to discuss further and even gift me my burger as I have paid for it and not got it.

Take there time and always get your order wrong

Every time I’ve been here the food comes out cold, thrown together, sauce all over the bun. Drive through staff rude and dismissive serve every bag up with bad attitude. Absolute Garbage every time, the only thing there that’s done with consistency!

Very busy at the time so understandable but getting an order this easy wrong is not great. Get what you pay for I guess 🤷‍♂️

Don’t even deserve any stars at this point there was a girl on the till yesterday who’s says she’s the manger nails are filthy think she was digging up the potatoes for McDonald’s with all that dirt under there vile if you ask me especially if your serving out food maybe she needs to invest in a nail brush, also find all the staff rude they get your order wrong and expect you to park up and then we had to wait 20 minutes for a small cheeseburger joke !!!

Excellent service and food was quick, hot and fresh. This store gets a lot of bad press on social media, but today, it was like every other McDonald's.

Disgusting and dirty, bins overflowing, filthy floor, a group of yobs swearing and bottle flipping. No one on the floor cleaning. Absolutely vile!

Long wait time or food. Showed as ready to collect for about 10 mins with knowone on front till. Only one person seemed to be working, multiple workers walking round with hands in pockets. Manager walking around phone in one hand. Other in pocket not really paying attention or managing anyone. Poor, considering the price of a macdonalds meal these days

We visited yesterday (26 June) I don’t know quite what happened but there was a lot of people unhappy with waiting times and their orders. We waited 45 minutes I didn’t initially say anything as id heard others had waited this long However I then saw my order on the app said it had been collected which it hadn’t We spoke to a young girl who’s name I didn’t catch but she was a credit to the store and after looking at the order on my phone went and made the whole order again which was quite a large one and delivered it quickly.

They normally get your drive thru order wrong so be sure to check what's in the bags, but they seem to have changed some staff so maybe that will change.

Just got food from drive through food was cold n wrong burger . Time before apple pie missing n one chips missing . Won't be going again .

This is one of the very few fast food venues and it always is so chaotic. The staff obviously do not care for customer service and the restaurant is getting filthy each visit. My last visit I pointed out the fifth and the fact that sauces and napkins were on the floor in kitchen and staff were just walking over them, and the young lady laughed and said yeh it is pretty filthy!!! You have to check your order religiously as it is never correct??? Poor show whoever is in charge of maldon MD.

Such slow service, no one in the drive thru in the mornings and still take ages to serve you. Coffees are always nuke warm and taste vile.

Horrible place stoped in for dinner on are way to westmersea last night my wife orderd are food and the kids throw the app normal we get are food quite quickly not here waited about an hour in the end, they lost are order appently the machine went down, my wife went up after 20 min to see what was going on in the end they finaly write the order down after 40 min waiting for the manger to say to my wife I hear you have been rude but she was not thats why u have not got your food. He was the one that went on break when they were short staffed and was the rude one. The rest of staff looked like they didn't care or no what they were doing calling orders out and slamming food down on counter serving other people before us people were asking for refunds and one bloke payed and walked out they only cared about the drive throw. By the time we did get the food it was dry and horrible chips where tasteless. Would never eat here again.

Was quiet which was a plus. Opted for table service, they just yelled a number and left it on the counter. Wasn't even the right number.

Another poor review. drive thru customer, waited 20 mins in parked bay. Asked staff twice where our food was. Third enquiry the member of staff remade our order. Really poor customer service, would avoid if you want fast food.

Very small for a McDonald's. tables are clean but the floor needs a sweep or two. Very loud as well. Next to Tesco. Would recommend eating out then in. They had no apple pie but gave chocolate and raspberry pie instead.👍

It's a type of joke that I do not find funny at the end of a long day at work. Drove to the shop, spoke to a manager called Charlie who would certainly benefit from some additional customer relations training. I did hear him telling off the kitchen staff but at the same time, just before I left, you could hear giggling coming from the kitchen.
