Mcdonald's in Fife

15/4/24 22.35-22.40pm. Ordered large double cheeseburger meal with a Diet Coke and some nuggets. Questioned the server when a medium drink was handed over. Was assured it was a medium I had ordered and paid for. Got my bag of food and went on home. Opened it up to find 3 mayo chickens, a medium fries and a small fries. Tried to phone the restaurant to let them know as I wasn’t driving 20 mins back there. Phone rang for 3 mins with no answer. Only 3 cars in drive thru queue and a few in the car park. Pretty incompetent staff who can’t complete a 4 item order is laughable really

Walked into a dirty store where I ordered 2 lattes for sitting in, they took 10mins to be ready and were luke warm.. In the 10mins I waited I witnessed dirty tables some with rubbish on normally I would say that the customer really should bin these themselves then looked at buckets they were over flowing so where would they put rubbish. The tables that were empty were dirty. A girl and a boy both came out to empty buckets witnessed the boy squash down some rubbish in the bin then went straight back behind the counter and start to sort bags NO hand washing was done in between. Used the toilet facilities floor was soaking wet even the walkway to the toilet was wet sure fire way for someone to hurt themselves did try and get someone’s attention to no avail. Would not recommend at all.

This place needs clean up. And have people house trained as they have cough all over my food and old food over the place would not let my dog eat anything out there 🤮🤮🤮. Seats are all sticky.

Food was really late. 1 hour and a half late and I didn't get a drink with my big mac meal and didn't get sauce with my chicken nuggets and the driver didn't speak English and changed drivers also. I actually think the driver drank my juice and kept the sauce because it only come in one bag and usually comes in two with a drink.

Food missing going g through drive through. You need to park up which I assume is normal practice as it happens all the time. The chips were soggy not crispy like normal and 2 of the 4 bags were only half full of chips. I phoned and they apologised and told me to go back and get them. The girl was very good in store and got me what I needed when I drove back. This isn’t the first time this has happened. I’m disappointed hence writing a review

Made me wait for nearly 20minutes for just a wrap.don't know if i will visit again.

Was met with rude and unhelpful staff would not recommend going as they cannot get a simple app order right and took them 20 minutes to get it sorted

There can't be a drive through that's worse than this on at chapel level in Kirkcaldy. Yesterday was the third time we've visited and told to go to the car park and wait for our food. I've refrained from commenting previously but hard to find a parking space when deliveroo drivers are taking them up and other waiting for food also. By the time the food is delivered it's often cold. Yesterday I was given our drinks which included coffee and after a 30 minute wait went back through the drive through for my food. My coffee was cold and although they said sorry, you know they couldn't care less. Unlikely that we will ever return to this MacDonald.

This is a small McD's, and it felt very crowded when we visited. The car park is very tight and the queue for the drive-through can block access to the spaces. The food took a while to arrive, but it was fresh and very hot so we were pleased with that. The restaurant was clean, but the toilets felt a little messy. Inside the restaurant felt a little cramped and noisy but that was maybe more to do with the customers than the store itself. (At one table, the adults were talking whilst ignoring their children screaming and drawing in pen on the furniture and windows! Definitely not McD's fault!) The location is very convenient so we will definitely visit again.

You have to ask to get ice in your drinks - how hard can it be to do fresh drinks? Who wants a watery drink? It’s the most simple thing that the most idiotic person should be able to do - apparently not at this Mcdonalds. When you do ask for a fresh drink you get attitude. I’m not paying nearly £3 for a third of water.

I eat at McDonald's from time to time. It's not the healthies option, but at least it should be tasty. This time even that wasn't given to me. Cold fries with no salt, "big cheesy with bacon", no bacon and no sauce, same with McCrispy... totally bland and cold food. Staff very laid back...walking around and laughing as if there was nothing to do and in fact it was quite busy. Pull yourself together, guys... I'd fire you all for something like that.

By far one of the worst McDonald's in the UK. Doesn't matter what time you come at, or if you're in the restaurant or drive through, you can guarantee you'll be waiting 30+ mins for your food. Avoid at all costs, you're genuinely quicker driving to Glenrothes or Dunfermline.

My food was barely warm. I couldn't eat it.

Absolutely terrible would be zero if I could. Attitude stank from a staff member because I asked where the tent cards were for the table service "we don't use them it's the QR code on the table" - and how do I know what table it is when I am ordering on the screen? Also ordered as dine in but everything came in bags as if for takeaway, so had to use bag as tray/plate or would have been on the table that who knows had done what on before. And also our number didn't even come up on the screen as being prepared, we had to ask about it. And why is every McDonalds freezing cold to sit it? No customer interaction whatsoever, might as well close the door and concentrate on the takeaways as that's what it all appeared to be anyway. Never again for this one, that's for sure.

Order totally wrong, Had to wait in the car park for our wrong order. Staff were apologetic,but really attention to detail would fix it. Of course the missing burger was cold.less than impressed

Not one of the best places to eat in Kirkcaldy but definitely not bad. The service isn't great, long wait times for food, just wouldn't choose to eat there if I could choose somewhere else.

I ordered a cola from this establishment and thankfully I always take the lid off and drink the juice without the straw… there was black flakes all inside the drink so be careful, don’t think the ice machine or the syrup dispenser has been properly cleaned. Will just buy the bottled drink from here. Be safe

Recently refurbished but the drive through wasn’t operating which just made it congested as parking isn’t great outside. Food was a bit greasy.

This restaurant is definitely miles better than the smaller one along in Asda but it does have its own issues. Fries are constantly warm or cold, items are often missing and I have to go back inside to ask for food to be replaced or for the missing items. Quite often food looks like it's been out together by someone wearing a blind fold! But when the food does arrive as ordered it's generally fine. Tasty delicious and leaves me wanting more despite the issues

I came here to see the famous old McDonald farm. Huge disappointment to put it lightly... What is this place even?!

Omg received 2 donuts from here that were inedible. Usually you get them nice and fluffy these ones would have broken a window. Put a complaint in and was told to write a review . OMG

Slow service on a Sunday lunch, no clean tables, food order wrong twice a chips were stone cold.

We ordered a large big Mac meal and a large quarter pounder with cheese meal 2 apple pies a large fanta with the big Mac meal and a cappuccino with the quarter pounder meal as well as a medium vanilla milkshake mini Oreo mcflurry and a combined of 7 sauces yet the WHOLE big Mac meal was missing no fries for the quarter pounder meal no fanta no cappuccino no sauces and a missing apple pie spent over £20 and missing over half of my order disappointed and saddened to say the least

Great wee place for a Breakfast Roll at the end of 4 night shifts.

Absolutely diabolical waited for half an hour once going through the drive through. Once my order came it was wrong had to wait another 20 minutes and came out wrong again. Won't be back I would rather starve than go through that again.

Staff are not the best don't put Sauces in that you ask for.

My daughter went thru drive thru pd for salsa sauces & 2 sugar doughnuts but obviously they werent put in with rest off her order & chips boxes half empty. This is 3rd time in last month this has happened & total waste off time foneing them as never gets answered so cant get them next time but sorry wont be next time as will never be bk they do this to everyone absolutely scandalous

Got the timing just right and drive thru was quiet. Food is good here but sometimes things are missing which then needs a second drive thru or actually going in to rectify

£30 for 3 meals, yep as usual should have checked but we were in a hurry. Gets home, 1 burger and 3 fries. 2 burgers missing. Not we cheap burgers either. Service is shocking. No even worth the 8 mile drive back to get a refund. Just won't be back. How hard is it to pack an order? Management need an actual shake

I completely understand that mistakes happen, but, ordering a cheeseburger meal and only getting the fries in the bag without the cheeseburger is comedy gold. Ridiculous and a total waste money.

Everyone who went through the drive through was told to park up. The car park was just full with people waiting in their cars for food. Then they had runners coming out with storage boxes filled with orders! Staff just wondering around the car park looking for vehicles! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Never seen anything like it. Then opened my mcchicken burger to find the top bun, salad and sauce missing!? 😂 Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely sucks as a brand of McDonald's. Staff are awful and arrogant. Cannot read simple instructions and reading a screen seems to be impossible. The simple act of communication seems to been lost in hiring process. They are miserable and cannot wait to get rid of you. It seems to be just being a number. Also serving food that's out of date really massive red flag for me I'll never be setting foot in there again. I'd advise the same for anyone who goes to fife central park. For the management please step up, if you want some advice hold people accountable for they're actions.

Premises open and staff cooking food, opening times on door also confirm open. drive through closed and front door locked. Apparently short staffed so decided to close, they must be making all the food for themselves as they were clearly making food, must be having a staff party. Employee then confirms they can close whenever they want.

Kids throwing food, took 15 mins for a kids meal and a cheeseburger to arrive, food was cold. Place was a complete mess with nobody on clean up duty

How hard is it to put dips in a bloomin bag.

Illiterate muppets. Can't tell the difference between a banana and vanilla milkshake. Sure half the staff here didn't learn to read, always get something wrong in an order.

We chose to get a drive-through yesterday to be quicker. I wish McDonalds had better in store supervision, I have encountered most of the issues mentioned from others, so I guess it's my fault for choosing this chain. So first, the food was not fast as advertised, but we payed in full, even though once we reach our destination I realised that not only they had put mayonnaise where it was supposed to be bbq but they also allow them selfs to skip giving you sauce for cheese bites when it is included, and yes the halloumi bites yesterday was disgusting, maybe got pulled out of a bin? For the 4 pieces I got for the price, I just feel even worse for ordering food over there. The batter was SLOWLY OVERCOOKED IN OIL, and no sauce! And no one checked what they gave me. And even though it was busy and it took a couple of minutes from the ordering machine to the pay and pick windows, I was too told to park as they were running busy, there was only 1 car that got parked up some time after me, everyone else, before or after me was almost immediate in receiving their orders, the chicken & bacon wrap my partner ordered got dumped where it belonged. And last and probably most important, does anyone else agrees that McDonald's quality of their chips isn't at the original standard by McDonalds, chips now a days comes in all kinds of conditions, too salty/not salty at all/drowned in oil or simply that cheap potato taste!

Shambles of a place couldn't get a order right If they tried. Customer service is shocking and the standard of service is rank rotten. No compassion no standards no care these are the skill sets of the staff and management here. It's a shame I can leave no stars as this place is the pits

Can't even read an order correctly! Wrong and absolutley terrible customer service when going back to advise the food was wrong I was met with... What's the problem and what do you expect me to do about it then even the manager responded with what do you want me to do about it. Wasnt on shift so it's not my problem! Wow just wow I for one will not be returning it had been 6months since my last visit and I wont be back at all. Zero customer service skills from staff as well as management and a clear incompetence that they cannot read an order and fulfill said order correctly I cannot understand how they manage to get it so wrong! I would have some understanding if the shop was busy but it was completely dead. If I was met with some empathy and even perhaps an apologie I could accept it as human error but not even a sorry just met with attitude and eye rolls. Only given 1 star as no options for zero!

I drove through the drive thru last night around 7pm. Gave my order, no problems. Drove around to the first window to pay, the girl opened the window, and without even looking at me (she was having an animated chat and laugh with a colleague and clearly I was disturbing her 🤷‍♀️I’m not against having a laugh at work, because God knows we need it, but there’s a time and place, but in the middle of serving a customer, is not it!) she thrusted the payment machine out (I was paying cash 🤨)after about 10 seconds or so, she eventually looked at me, while I was holding the money in my hand, looked at me like I had 2 heads! (I checked the board before driving around and had the amount printed) but she gave me a totally different amount of £1 more, but only after I had to ask her 3 times, did I get the “correct” amount, because it seemed as though her lips were glued together! I think the manager should remind her she’s at work and not out socialising with her friends! I’ve had poor customer service, regularly from here, but this goes down as the worst so far 🤔🤔🤔🤔 I’m sure the customer service “training” has gone straight out the window, with some members of staff……..

Disgusting place. Horrible food. Managers attitude was disgusting I think her name was Jamie lee and the other manager clearly in a horrible wig were swearing up a storm.

Mcmuffin looked liked it had been made by a pre school child . Top of muffin wasn't even on top looked like it had been cooked hours before. Not one table was clean

So here we are after my previous terrible reviews. Surely, they still can't be that bad? WRONG!!! 45 minutes in the queue, only 5 cars in front of me. God knows why they are taking so long, and to top it off, my large lattes are regular!!!!🤬 you will get no more of my money! Greggs from now on! Absolutely useless. I would take away the one star if I could. Avoid this place if you want to keep your sanity. Fed up, getting bad service from here, especially from the male crew members who I find to be rude and tardy and, to be quite honest, look like they don't want to be there. On one occasion, I was left waiting in the drive-through for 10 minutes whilst the female crew member on another mic served six cars through the other lane. The food is luke warm and looks like it was thrown across the kitchen. The large lattes now look like regular lattes, and it's not the first time I've had flavouring added to my lattes without asking for it. A bit more professionalism and courtesy wouldn't go a miss, especially as you have now put the prices up. I would avoid this establishment until something radical is done to improve not only customer service but food quality as well.

The last few weeks they have been closed when I turn up yet say they are open according to opening hours. Won't be back.

on uber eats,getting a delivery which is a complete wrong order, paid 26 pounds to not get the correct order, to then not being able to walk all the way to the mcdonalds , assistants were saying its the correct order, when i showed the receipts they still were trying to refuses until they realised, then as i went into the store, i seen the chicken nugget box under the heaters, to be giving a whole new order but with the nuggets that sat there. very disappointed by them.

Went to buy chicken nugget share box for me and my friends. We went to the self thing and picked pay at counter. They took at least 20 minutes to even serve us. After multiple attempts at getting their attention, we were ignored untill about 30 minutes later. Then our food came and eas very good. Although the service was horrible

My partner & I nipped in for breakfast this morning not something we’d normally do & certainly be the last time we do after our experience at this branch. We waited 10 minutes in the drive thur while cars coming in behind us got seen at the other screen, we eventually drove through the drive thur without our order being taken, only to be laughed at by the very rude member of staff called Hannah! When she couldn’t find our order on her screen and we explained what happened. We eventually got our order taking but missed a very important appointment with the time they took. Shocking service from staff. Wouldn’t recommend this branch.

Cant count how many times there Icecream/milkshake machine is out of order. Maybe stop advertising them all the time as there never available. Once again out of order today 8th March. A joke dosent even cover it. Great management....🤣

Was banned from McDonald's Glenrothes again. Went through the drive through asked to park up refused as on the 4 occasions I did there was a problem with the food to cold or pickle on it when asked without. They asked again I said no explained why they asked again I said no I will wait then new person asked me and said they promise it will be perfect when brought out I said that's what I was told twice before and order was wrong so no I will not park up. Then here comes manager saying that I was rude disrespectful to his staff I told him I wasn't I just refused to park up explained why and never shouted or swore I just simply said no I wouldn't the whole time he talked to me with my order in his hand then gave me it and as I was driving away he shouted your banned don't come back. I felt like driving back through to simply ask how many times can you be banned from the same place 🤔

The takeaway is terrible. Items either missing or incorrect. Double quarter pounder was ordered and paid for, double was written on the box in pen, get home and its a regular.

Ordered double burger with bacon without the bun because of allergies. My husband and daughter ordered meals. Order came with no chips so had to go back. Then my burger had no bacon so I went back again, when I opened my box the bacon was cold and just slapped on my burger so I had to go back again I could tell the young guy who cooked my order wasn't happy. I was starving so I just wanted to eat and leave. Never been made to feel like that at that McDonalds before and I'll never be back.

So busy needs to change the drive through as it blocks up the retail park, just the usual McD's

i wonder if it's in the Mcdonald's remit to be able to read? to get a job there at Kirkcaldy retail half the staff looked stoned no wonder the burger looks like its been flung in the box from 30 yards across the shop the service you get in that store is shocking when you have every right to complain about your order when yet again its wrong they don't care! no apology, nothing to better the service gets done, a severe lack of training and terrible supervision is quite clearly the problem

Bit awkward to get into on foot

Literally be aswell taking caramel iced frappe off the menu. Can never get one because their "machine isn't working" or they "don't have any". It's so annoying. And they never get your order right ever! Guff!

There is no point reviewing the food for McDonald's. We all know what it is The service has just went down hill at the kirkcaldy branch, asked for 1 big mac meal, asked to park, 20 minutes later, I got my food, car park had no spaces so people had to park in front of parked cars, biggest problem is uber eats gets priority and the drivers take up so much parking space, the location and space isn't fit for the service you are trying to provide.

Had to clean own table as did other customers. Waited half an hour for order which was incorrect. Disorganised chaos. Cleaner complaining customers emptying trays into full bin, perhaps they should empty at frequent Intervals

Ordered a meal for delivery for mrs & myslef, it was barely warm & lemonade was like carbonated water. Her wrap was cold as well, a perfect example of staff who don’t really care about any standards whatsoever. Be the last dime they get from me.

I actually never eat McDonald's, never have and never will. Suprises me that it is still called 'food'. It's garbage.

Breakfast on the move not to bad

This place has to be the worst McDonalds. Whenever you go there something is ALWAYS missing. We have have a few deliveries and they have missed out drinks and even burgers.. like how can you miss a whole burger which is part of a meal!! Fair enough a one off but this is frequent from this place. Get new management in asap! Place needs serious help and more training. It’s all over social media stories about how bad this place is. You’ll even order 20 nuggets and select the dip option and they don’t put the dip in, I’ll just enjoy 20 dry nuggets then thanks! Nothing worse than ordering food and half doesn’t turn up, better yet no dip that you selected with an item. It’s such a simple task to read a receipt and put items into a bag, no matter how busy.

Stopped for a quick bite to eat - ha - what a joke - utter chaos - still waiting after 25 minutes. Fast food ???? Should have walked to the shops , walked home and cooked which would have been far quicker

Order taker didn’t take down my reg correctly so I’m sitting in the car park 40 minutes in waiting on a McChicken Sandwich and Fries. Surely you can automate the car registration McDonalds

3 portions of cold fries and cold burger. Complained and said they would re make them. Same meals came back just as cold! Family starving so ate what they had. Got a donut as compensation.

Fries are often only filled to the halfway point of the packaging and in general you're lucky to receive your food hot whether you dine in or receive delivery. On one occasion I had half of my Big Mac missing upon opening the box. Juice tastes awful like they haven't mixed correctly as well. Poor staff - obviously no duty manager overseeing matters and certainly no care for the quality of service they provide. Wouldn't recommend. One of the very worst I've used.

This has to be one of the freshest McDonald's I have ever had, the fries were lovely and hot, not covered in loads of salt and my big mac looked like the one we all see in the adverts, service was fast an staff friendly, I also nipped into the toilet before I left they were also nice and clean. A well ran store serving HOT food unlike the stores in my area.

I would love to be able to give the restaurant a 5 star, the food is great. However… one of the female workers are extremely disrespectful and rude. I’m not pleased with her attitude at all, I think the manager should have a check up on the workers. I have never heard anyone be so ignorant and impatient to customers.

I'm never ordering from this McDonald's again, 3 times I've ordered from them they have given us someone else's order or didn't complete the order how hard is it to follow instructions. You know its bad when I'd rather order from the Asda McDonald's because it might be cold but at least I get what I asked for. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

THEY DIDNT LET ME IN!! they told me cause i’m under 18 i cant get in without an adult, which is stupid. they are denying me of one of my rights - THE RIGHT TO FOOD. as far as i’m aware no kid has caused any issues within mc donald’s, and saying no kids are allowed in unless with an adult is ageism.

Order machines not working (no paper for receipts). Screen for showing which orders ready showing error message (for last 2 weeks). No table service. Got my order wrong. Burger was cold. Kitchen area appeared chaotic and it wasn't that busy.

Normal McDonald's options for food and drinks. You can always rely on the quality and taste of both the meals and drinks. Friendly staff.

Not 24 hours as advertised, cones blocking entrance frequently. If you do manage to get in when it is open don't bother asking for milkshakes as their machine is permanently broken. Management attitude to dealing with issues not the greatest either.
