Who on God's good earth thought that making lids out of paper was a good idea!!!! Absolute lunacy, you're not going to save the planet doing this! Beware these lids "pop" off when you hold them, spilling everywhere and if you by some miracle do get it to your mouth it dribbles everywhere. Change these lids now.

Ordered drive through and had to wait 20 mins for the food.. that too just normal hamburgers!!!

waited FIFTY MINUTES on order and had to go up to front counter and ask for my order. food had actually been sat there the whole time we waited and was stone cold by the time we received the order. no sweet chilli so we just got garlic mayo put in bag. got the wrong drinks and missing sauces and after all this, we didn’t even get an apology and staff member didn’t even acknowledge the waiting time. will not be back

Was a horrible experience, will not be back. Waited 50 minutes for our food, which we had to go up and ask for, was understandable as it was slightly busy however our food was waiting there the whole time, which the person packing orders was not nice one bit and was very rude about the situation saying not waiting 50 minutes and rolling their eyes, then for them to not have what we ordered, and gave us mayo as a substitute which I absolutely cannot stand mayo, wrong drinks completely and food was stone-cold, not even an apology for our waiting time

Rubbish customer experience, trying to park in the click and serve but cant as car parked in them with no passengers, just eat drivers hanging about parking in disabled bays. Keep being forced to use the app which keeps crashing, orders are always wrong. Staff arent interested. Only go cos kids like the burgers

Worst experience ever! Restaurant wasn't overly busy. Couple tables sitting down with 3 people waiting for food. Staff seem clueless and running around mad not knowing what to do. Waited 20 mins for a bigmac meal and nothing else. And then had to wait waving my arms around for someone to acknowledge me to hand me a straw as they just threw the bag down on the counter with no straw

It took a long time for them to get the food I ordered 40 min wait for it

It's ALWAYS busy... delivery drivers seem to get priority. Often asked to park up and wait on drive through food.

Very disorganised stood looking at my food going cold while people that ordered after me were getting served terrible

Best mcdonald's I've visited. I normally struggle to make an order due to sesame seed allergy, this mcdonalds made me a burger with a non contaminated steamed bun! I am so thankful. Will come here again.

worst place ever this is my 3rd time this week they have messed up order food wrong service wrong stinking attitude on managers and staff no health and safety measure staff coffing over food wipe nose on sleeve no hair nets and told we busy when order messed up aye was only one in drive fro and car park was empty taken piss aye have worked in a mcdonald’s before but this one is scum from staff to toilets have contacted healt and safety and food hygiene hope this place shuts down

Staff are doing the best they can but over half an hour for a bacon roll is ridiculous. They need more staff and support during peak and busy times.

Waited 20 minutes for my order and was crowded by delivery drivers pushing in front of me to get their orders first. Unfriendly, stressed staff and a dirty environment made me leave without my order. Never going to this one again.

Very slow service even when quite quiet in the morning. Seating area was completely closed off and only take out was available on the touch screen displays.

I think at some point around spring/summer 2024 the management team of this branch must have changed; it's a place I've been a semi-regular at since it opened and the standard of the food has never bothered me til recently. Breakfast Mcmuffin eggs always seemed relatively fresh before, but now I think they must cook the eggs about a day in advance and warm them thru later, because now the yolks are green--but because the yolks have been popped, there's now green mixed all thru the white of the eggs like mould through stilton, and the end result is absolutely stomach churning to look at. I don't care if it's 'perfectly edible', it looks disgusting and repellent. And also the eggs are strangely dry, which seems kinda bizarre but it's true. I recently had a Mayo Chicken and a Big Mac from this branch too, and the miserable squished things handed to me reminded me of that scene in the flick Falling Down where D-Fens goes nuts over the disparity between the photos of the juicy burgers on the menu and the sorry, saggy thing he's presented with. I'm not expecting fine dining--it's fast food after all--but the quality of the food served seems to have just plummeted at this branch in 2024. The service is okay, and the staff are fine, if a little... disengaged, and I've rarely had to wait particularly long for my food, but what use that when the standard of the actual food now either turns my stomach or reminds me of a cutting satire critiquing the state of fast food?

4 m8n drive from retail park - allfood was so cold even a 3 yr old complained absolute joke - it's not the first time either - being busy is not an excuse for cold food ! Will NOT order again when a 3yr old knows the difference between COLD or hot / even warm food - Clearly there's issues with the restaurant!!!

Ordered on just eat a £35 order to arrive with no chips. Phoned and asked to rectify to be told to re order. Don’t use this McDonald’s. What a joke they are. Update. Did u just kick my dinner about the floor before putting it in the bag. And half a milkshake.

Came for a breakfast. Not really busy inside. 12mn for a sausage muffin meal is ridiculous. Especially when the number after me get 2 meal before? Wtf? If I didn't ask, I would have wait the whole morning...

Drive threw ,well it's not drive threw its drive then sit for10min they have to up there game before I call it drive threw.

Often very busy but staff are as quick as they can be. Usual McDonald's fayre. Good for a treat with the family.

Hit or miss, half the time you have to wait ages and usually comes out cold, manager is also rude if you ever complain

Ordered a drink and not only did they forget about it, they stood there and spoke the entire time while we stood there like wankers, when i went up to ask about my drink the boy proceeded to ask if i had a receipt which i told him no (seeing as your machines dont have receipt paper) he then looked at me and the girl behind him said just gave them it to which he grabbed a random drink ( luckily it was the right one) and asked if this was the right one. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Never serve from hatch at this McDs, have 3 or 4 kids running about the car park delivering orders. Had to park up and wait for a cappuccino, farcical. Car park is a nightmare as it is ...... clue is in the badly spelled name 'Drive Thru' 🤷🏻‍♂️

Worst burger I've ever had... Won't return. I know it's just that shift, but it was really bad.

Unfortunately the meals come out of here like they've been assembled by a catapult, the last one was half off bun half all over the wrapper very poor show. What used to he a good enjoyable experience is now simply a stop gap if I need a quick bite on the go. I will say that the breakfasts are decent and well prepared shame about the rest of the meals.

Visited twice whilst in the area, 20+ mins waiting for orders. 1st visit was just a burger and I had to speak to the staff for them to give me my order. 2nd visit was for breakfast, again had to speak to staff because order number said collect, but I waited patiently for it to be called out, then it disappeared off the screen. I was told they were waiting for pancakes; there was a tower of pancakes and the Uber/just eat ordered where flying out. Just need to look at themselves and how they organise. Send like each person has their task and doesn't look at the other areas such as serving the food, so the food just stacks up.

This McDonald's Drive-Thru service is absolutely shocking. Waited over half an hour for a very small order only to end up having to go in and ask them to make it. They need to scrap the delivery service and prioritise customers actually coming to the premises

Definitely not fast food went to drive through with my Grandson as always asked to park up to wait for our order. 20 minutes later we got our food.

This is certainly the worst McDonalds drive through that I have ever had the misfortune to visit ! I had driven a long distance to visit family and wanted a quick bite to eat beforehand. First of all, I could not understand the first person that I came into contact with - not one word of English was recognised The burger was cold, lumpy and possibly undercooked. The fries were also cold, pale, and limp. They did not even smell right, as though the oil had not been at the right temperature andor needing changing. Totally disgusting and unacceptable. It all went into the bin.

Delivery driver parked close to the driver side of my car so my passenger was waving to get the food and the runner decided to squeeze up the side scratching my car with her unzipped jacket. Not very mindful, not very helpful. Very annoying 😑

Don’t think there is a time when I’ve went through drive thru and not been asked to park up. Management really need to get this sorted as the whole reason I go through the driver thru is for quickness and not to sit in the car park for 10 mins whilst I wait for an item to be made. Only McDonald’s I know in Fife to do this too so clearly something is wrong.

Every single time I come here my order is wrong and always told to park up at drive through. Then I end up having to go inside and complain my order ain't right 👎

Only issue they have so far is they continue to issue banana milkshakes when actually asked for chocolate 2 totally different flavours they confuse chocolate with banana I don't like banana milkshake yuk

Dirty, disgusting, can't even make a burger right. Every time an order either has something missing or there's something wrong with it. If you are starving I recommend dead seagull from the street .

When a takeaway has more immigrant Just Eat delivery drivers than eat in customers, letching at people, it no longer is a family friendly place, let alone the the wait time. This franchise desperately needs to rethink its priorities.

Waited 15 minutes for a sausage and egg mcmuffin but all the staff seem to be standing around.

Visited at 12.30pm, place busy, quick service, food not hot only mildly warm, lots of young staff, can clearly see no motivation they seemed to be hiding or hanging about trying to look busy. We were there for about an hour. In our seating area not 1 table was cleaned neither the table top or floor area when these tables were vacated. I witnessed a young employee removed a high chair from the table behind me, it was not sprayed/ cleaned only put back in the corner I could clearly see the evidence of the childs food still on the tray and framework, absolutely disgusting, no wonder there are ongoing viruses in fast food diners if they don't spray and disinfect after each customer, McDonald's Kirkcaldy disgusting franchise..

The manager doing nothing walking around, putting my food on the table letting it cool while waiting for fries and the crew member just walking so slowly to grab the fries. Wait for a cheeseburger and one medium fried for 15mim. Wouldn't be back again.

Can't remember a time in the last three years that the receipt printers actually worked. The paving flags outside are covered in grease and look like they haven't been cleaned in the years.

Food was cold chips under cooked . We ordered flurry which was melted . Tried to talk to uber about this told contact Macdonald well 5/6 times I called and no reply so who do I tell of this . To let you know food ended in the bin.

Head to Burger King instead. 30 minute wait, this is not fast food.

This McDonald's is like no other, and not in a good way. Sauce all over the bag every time because they can not seem to wrap a burger properly and 3 even 4 pickles on a cheeseburger sometimes. "Can you just take a parking space and we will bring it out?" 30 minutes later the food comes out and guess what? Its cold because its sat for 30 minutes same as me. Glenrothes McDonalds, which is arguably busier, manage to serve at the window quickly with good quality food, and most other McDonald's for that matter. This place is just a disaster 95% of the time and i just don't see why. Where is the management here? The actual system is just tell people to park, how about train the staff to work more efficiently same as every other place? Take less deliveries i know you can switch off temporarily.

Ordered 2 9 nugget meals with strawberry milkshakes we received one large coke (didn’t order that) no milkshakes? And where are my McFlurrys? Disgraceful £10 of things missing I am fuming!

Service is shockingly slow, very little for the kids to do. Place is full of delivery drivers sitting down in kids area and standing at entrance. They seemed to get served before anyone else. Won’t be back to this McDonald’s with the family. Will try the one at Asda.

Staff didn't listen to us, didn't understand what lemonade was, weren't helpful when we asked about options, didnt talk clearly so was hard to hear what they were saying, toilets dirty

Food was subpar, however I must say the workers were fantastic. Owen in particular was outstanding and assisted us with our order.

Terrible restaurant. Management is not great, so the staff aren't great. Waiting times for food is really bad. Pot Holes, put your car in off-road mode, if you have it.

Live no more than 5 minutes away and smarrived home to cold soggy chips that I could have used as wallpaper paste Tasty but freezing cold Big Mac. Should have still been hot after a short drive. Not the first time, won't be back

They need to employ people who want to work. They have no concept of fast food dining.

McDonald Kirkcaldy retail park :Strange experience night time they are serving only Drive through customers, went to first window it was closed, went to 2nd window collection point they sent back to first window no one there again knocked window because we ordered online via app just need collection. No one even checked online order. Overall very poor service.

Food was as to be expected but a little cold. The staff were amazing, very helpful and polite too. We went on a sunny day and it contributed to the place becoming a but of a greenhouse

waited about 20 minutes to even be served at the till, workers kept walking past straight up ignoring me standing by the till waiting to get my order taken, so unprofessional and embarrassing from the staff

Do yourself a favour and don't order from McDonalds Retail Park (order from asda instead), im a self employed delivery driver for just eat and every evening is the same story: Got a double order (the pay is £6.20 and I cover fuel, car maintenance and insurance) from this f.... place again at 5.35 PM (double order meaning two deliveries because Just Eat is a greedy company and now wants us self employed couriers do double the job for half the pay), just eat app said my double order would be ready at 5.49pm (aye right...). 6:00pm my first order is ready. 6.10pm im speaking to the first restaurant staff asking for the second order as the first one gets cold now, im getting told it will be coming shortly. 6.20pm im asking the manager where my order is as my first order is now cold. Im told it shouldn't take too long again. 6.30pm im told the second order has already been picked up (which is a lie because otherwise they wouldn't have the receipt for it, unless they mixed the bags up and attached wrong receipt to my actual order and gave it to some other courier) Honestly the staff in this place have NO bloody idea what they are doing.. in the end I got paid £3.10 for that first order which took me 50 minutes total and still gotta pay business costs from that. Told the customer food is freezing cold and to rate us and the restaurant as low as possible. I swear i will be taking them all to court and will be dumping this job because its almost same store every bloody evening... DO NOT ORDER DELIVERIES FROM MCDONALDS RETAIL PARK!!!!

Absolutely useless Four times I've ordered online from them and four times they haven't delivered half my items. Once or twice I can understand but FOUR!? Today once again half my order is missing and the stuff that did turn up was cold I tried to phone them to sort it out but got no answer, three times I phoned and nothing Don't bother with this one. Go to the one at Asda Kirkcaldy instead

Used drive thru was quiet still had to wait 5 minutes for 2 cheeseburger meas seems the default now to park up and wait for someone to bring out food,, Meal was cold would have taken it back but was at other end of retail park when passenger opened to find cold chips and cold cheeseburgers shocking after having to wait need a new manager never used to be like this poor show

Stopped at the drive through as we were running out of time for lunch. Really quick service. Served by nice staff and the food was hot. The line in the drive through was quite long but the staff were sailing quickly through it. So happy days.

On way home from airport after getting home from holiday my family & we went to the drive threw at 2am as we had been on a 5 hour flight & hadn't eaten since breakfast the day before, we ordered 2 large big mac meals a large chicken big Mac meal a 20 chicken nugget box only to get home to discover the chicken big mac was not in the bag we drove back to the retail park to find out where our chicken big mac was to have to wait a further 20 mins only to receive a cold chicken big mac with no apology from the staff!! When we first got our order there were 4 staff hanging around the drive seemingly not doing much so how I did not get my burger I do not know! It seems I received the same burger I should have gotten on my original order given how cold it was the limpness of the lettuce I was so disappointed 😞 first time trying the chicken big mac will not repeat nor will i be back any time soon. Poor show from the staff & complete disregard for their error of our order. You would think given time of morning that the foods would be fresh & hot extremely disappointed on this occasion.

Placed order , and drove 7 miles home once id gotten it only to discover wrong type of burger in 1 box, this is not rocket science , why can you not get an order for 3 adults correct ???

I really don't know why I keep coming back, it's a similar experience every time. I waited for an incredible amount of time inside the resturant for a really simple order that was put in for collection ahead of time. Seen multiple people in the kitchen pretending to do busy work and only 1 guy at the front who was chasing up orders. Seems the priority is always the just eat customers. We weren't the only customer that felt this way as looking around people were getting annoyed as there was 1 meal going out to us every 10 minutes. "Fast food".

Waited 40 minutes in the restaurant for 2 chips and a burger (I had also ordered on the app 10 minutes before hand) 90% of the staff were stood around doing literally nothing. And to top things off, food was freezing cold. I’ve been to this restaurant quite a few times and every single time confirms to me that it’s the worst McDonald’s around.

Called in last week at around 3.00 p.m, staff member took my order and the food was delivered to our table quickly.food was hot and order as requested.Only concern was a staff member using a customer chair as steps to give the lights shades a much needed clean on the table adjacent. A more senior member of the team sitting at the table seemed oblivious of the H+S implication and when the colleague could not reach the ceiling rose and cable she then stood on the table to reach. Left before we could witness if the table was sanitised following this practice.

Busy drive through but food the usual standard. Not to long to wait for anything.

Ordered on the app, just a coffee, nobody in front of me. Could see my coffee sitting waiting. 6 members of staff chatting, counting trays. 5 minutes later someone notices me. Pay attention to your customers please. Without us you don't have a job

Every single time we come to this drive through we get asked at the window to take a space in the carpark and they'll bring it out. It doesn't matter if it's a small order or a bigger order. Then it takes then no less than 20 minutes to bring your food to you which is usually missing something or something is wrong. Genuinely don't understand how other McDonald's can make the food quick enough but this one can't.

Has to be in with a shout for the most incompetent mcDonalds in the uk. Orders are never correct, items missing, food never ready and regularly asked to park up for standard food with no changes to toppings. Genuinely 10 minutes along the road in Halbeath Dunfermline you have one of the fastest serving McDonalds I've ever been too and genuinely cannot think of them ever getting my order wrong, how can two franchises be so so different!

Food took 20 minutes to come, no customer service was stood at the counter for atleast 15 minutes waiting on a McFlurry what in the end I left and didn’t even get. Fuming!

Dropped into Mcdonalds this evening for a late t as I was running late I have allergies so I’m really fussy with what I eat. I was served by Sarah who was actually the manager she had been cleaning some of the stainless steel when I went in She said I will go wash my hands and be right back. She took my fussy order and once it was ready she brought it out to me and said it’s but have a quick look at it before you leave so I can fix it out right away for you. It was made perfectly and tasted absolutely delicious and the chip were also freshly made with only a faint taste of salt. Well Done Sarah I’m an extremely happy customer. A few months ago I had been served by the tall manager BOSS Dave and he also to my weird order and just like Sarah was so polite and friendly and made sure my order was made perfectly Well Done boss man. DEFINITELY THE BEST MCDONALD’S TO VISIT

everytime Ive used this mcdonalds i have had problems, either wrong food or missing food. on top of that i have been made to wat 40 minutes on more than one occasion

2ns time they have done something wrong in the order drive through said I could have normal bun with no sesame seeds asked for no salad or pickle gets home it's in on a sesame roll with pickles called them up offered full refund or something else when next in and would add it to there group chat. Girl who spoke to me said I should never have been told I could have the double cheeseburger deluxe on a plain roll.

Waiting half an hour for one simple meal. Too busy serving the ‘special menu’ through the drive through. First and last time ordering here.

15/4/24 22.35-22.40pm. Ordered large double cheeseburger meal with a Diet Coke and some nuggets. Questioned the server when a medium drink was handed over. Was assured it was a medium I had ordered and paid for. Got my bag of food and went on home. Opened it up to find 3 mayo chickens, a medium fries and a small fries. Tried to phone the restaurant to let them know as I wasn’t driving 20 mins back there. Phone rang for 3 mins with no answer. Only 3 cars in drive thru queue and a few in the car park. Pretty incompetent staff who can’t complete a 4 item order is laughable really

Drive through, asked to wait for the kids happy meal. Took over 30 min to get the food. And when i finally did, the toy were missing, the chips bag was half empty. Not going back

McDonalds, the usual good service, you know what food your getting. You know the drinks. That's why you go there.

Every time I order on Uber eats they seem to not understand how to read or they just plain stupid ? I want barbeque sauce (BBQ) not NO SAUCE I realise it's very similar but who wants nuggets with no sauce ? 3 times in a row also never any straws napkins and always cold gave up in the end ain't ordering again

If you order for delivery you will either have items missing from your order or get someone else's order.

Walked into a dirty store where I ordered 2 lattes for sitting in, they took 10mins to be ready and were luke warm.. In the 10mins I waited I witnessed dirty tables some with rubbish on normally I would say that the customer really should bin these themselves then looked at buckets they were over flowing so where would they put rubbish. The tables that were empty were dirty. A girl and a boy both came out to empty buckets witnessed the boy squash down some rubbish in the bin then went straight back behind the counter and start to sort bags NO hand washing was done in between. Used the toilet facilities floor was soaking wet even the walkway to the toilet was wet sure fire way for someone to hurt themselves did try and get someone’s attention to no avail. Would not recommend at all.

Sadly disappointed today, had to wait for our grandsons Veggie Dippers, which in turn meant our food was getting colder all the time. If we then add to this that the servers took forever to then put drinks etc on the tray, the experience over all was very poor, not really in a hurry to return.

It was all going well, I was innocently waiting in line to receive my food after watching a fully grown man not be able to pay 44p for his chips, when I heard a commotion behind me, a 70 year old woman with a single tooth, was arguing with a group of 16 year olds over something, she left and later returned with a car wrench and smashed a table. Respect to the McDonald’s workers for sending out a 16 year old girl to fend off this intruder. The chips needed more salt

After trying to order a Mcdelivery but being too far out of the delivery zone I was forced to go to this mcdonald’s, upon arrival I placed my order, payed my money and stood waiting by the tills for what would have been a well earned meal had it not been for what was about to happen. While waiting for my order a man who looked around 50 was complaining to a staff member because he was short on change for a bag of chips, admitting defeat he found a new target to take his misplaced anger out on. a group of around 5 teenagers were sat on a table also waiting patiently for there food when he realised that they were the group who had rightfully scalded him for his terrible driving. a very strongly worded argument ensued between the man and the teenagers but after a few minutes it died down. the man then made a phone call essentially asking for backup 2 minutes later someone who i assumed was his wife walked in and started another argument with the group. meanwhile i was still awaiting for my meal. then in a blink of an eye a crazy old lady around 70 came rushing through the doors of the establishment brandishing a rather long and heavy wrench, the place fell silent as this woman proceeded to smash one of the tables with said weapon and threaten many of the people inside the mcdonald’s. thankfully they were escorted off the premises by a worker who looked around 15. the man did not get his chips. when my food was ready i picked it up and went to eat it only to find a cold burger and unsalted chips. do not enter this place unless you are willing to kill or be killed, may the odds be ever in your favour.

The food is just what you'd expect. In the winter the restaurant is freezing and in the summer it's roasting, you'd think they'd switch the heating and aircon the other way round.

Visited here for the first time in years with the grand kids last night .... big mistake. Waiting 30 mins for the food and by the time we got it. The food was only warm, not hot. The portion sizes are meagre compared to what you used to get. There was no control of the staff behind the counter. It was a free for all and they didn't care about the walk in customers, they were only concerned about their Just Eat customers. Spoke to the Duty Manager who never even acknowledged me back, even when I was polite and courteous. I would understand if I was abusive. Stay away from this establishment, they don't deserve your custom. If we had known about Burger King further along the road at Asda's, we would have went there instead.

There can't be a drive through that's worse than this on at chapel level in Kirkcaldy. Yesterday was the third time we've visited and told to go to the car park and wait for our food. I've refrained from commenting previously but hard to find a parking space when deliveroo drivers are taking them up and other waiting for food also. By the time the food is delivered it's often cold. Yesterday I was given our drinks which included coffee and after a 30 minute wait went back through the drive through for my food. My coffee was cold and although they said sorry, you know they couldn't care less. Unlikely that we will ever return to this McDonald.

This place is a joke… they gave my order to someone else and half an hour later and I’m still waiting for a cheeseburger…
