McDonald's in Angus

A minibus visit, with x20 and the service was smooth, fast and food was good quality. If you travelling to the NE Scotland then it's a good stop off.

Standard Forfar mcds visit. Busy but quick enough service.

Went in and stood at the till waited to be served for 20 minutes and was completely ignored. A manager took notice of us and told someone to serve us, they ignored this and we were left for a further 10 minutes when we decided to leave. Terrible service.

Went in the morning and it was freezing. They can put the heating on but would rather prioritise profits over their customers...

Pretty rubbish McDonald’s. Sadly my nearest. Check your food as I constantly get mistakes and things missing. Chips the other day half filled! Coffee last night warm.

Ordered at drive through then told to park up and had to wait ten minutes only to be served a cold burger and raw chips the staff at this site just can't cope

I just popped in here to get coffee and stood for 10 minutes at the counter , lots of staff in the kitchen area on their phones chatting etc , not one member of staff approached me , walked out in disgust , pathetic excuse for fast food hence to say i wont be returning . Absolutely standard fare. I imagine that if JM Barrie was still alive today, he's likely to have visited here himself. The car park is a nightmare though, some weird one way, two route system going on. It's like it was designed by Angus Council's finest minds.

The new restaurant is very good, good food, friendly staff, and fast service.

This branch is by far the best McDonald's around the Dundee area. Their service is quick and is second to none. They usually always get your order correct, unlike other establishments.

Back again for my usual coffee and its had a refit and the toilets were almost finished apart from a small section of flooring and some trim needs redoing but nice and clean again and as I hate the touchscreens the staff will do my coffee with extra shot no problem

30 minute wait for simple breakfast items, people with much higher numbers being called before ours and no one available to help the customers waiting, all just hiding away round the back. No one taking charge of the service or looked to be in charge. Absolutely diabolical.

Fabulous, very friendly, fast service. Food was good and hot.(unusual for McDonald's).

Unbelievable. Ordered on the app, was told I'd not get any food, as soon as I walked in, was just told to go away. Apparently they had an issue with their system so couldn't get orders through the app but this woman would not let me order in any other way even though people were clearly ordering fine at the drive through, couldn't possible look at my order confirmation, couldn't tell me how or if I could get a refund just that I'd have to talk to customer service but wouldn't tell me how to. Anyway our order number was called out from the counter, our food was there as it should be with my name on it. No issue except for a very rude lady insisting on a problem. Glad I didn't just leave when she told me to as soon as I walked in

I am disabled and use a wheelchair, I bought a breakfast, before I left I asked if they could refill my hot water bottle as it helps to soothe my hip, they were very sorry but they didn't have any hot water, I wondered how they were making tea or washing hands, after 24 years will not be going there again. Obviously very poor hygiene.

Food was so so just seams no one cares about the food

Very busy but good was decent enough, as you'd expect from Mac D, service was quick considering how busy they were. Very crowded so table space was limited and cleaning wasn't quite keeping up with it all.

Stuff too lazy to make very small break fast order took almost 20 minutes 😴

Am sick to the back teeth of spending money here only to get no straws with drinks, for god sake sort it out!!! It's common sense if people order drinks...make sure they can actually consume them!!!

Was the 2nd car in the drive thru and was still asked to go wait in the busy car park tonight but I don't like crowds so just donate that refund I should've gotten to charity I guess. Hope you didn't spend too long looking for my car when I just drove away.

Clean, fast food at a busy lunchtime and well cooked. Crammed full but very clean.

Was brilliant. Didn't go in. I was just waiting outside for a friend, but google thought that's review worthy, so 5 stars as a place to wait outside.

Probably the worst dining experience of my life. Not really sure what I was expecting seeing as this is what some would describe as a roadside dive, but nevertheless I was left utterly broken by this pig swill that passes for food here. It reminds me of my sweet dearly departed Maureen (nearly a year now) and the burgers she would make for my dinner. Her secret method was to boil them for a minimum of four hours. She'd say Steve I love you so much and I just want to give you all my heart in every meal I make. She really knew how to get to me and even now after an afternoon of abysmal burgers from this roadside macdonald I still shed a tear at the thought of my dear Maureen and her boiled burgers. I miss her so much and she comes to me in dreams most nights. It's hard for me to say she's really gone because I still feel her love everywhere I go. I know she and I would have had so much fun sitting together in this pig swill macdonald and laughing at what a terrible place it is, but not caring either way because such places only bring us closer together through shared hatred and laughter. I've learned in my long life that will surely, mercifully, be over soon that hatred always comes from a place of love, and so as much I hate this roadside macdonald and the phony excuses they make to explain why it takes so long to serve their gruel (they told me the grills needed to get up to temperature for my whole two hour visit) I still want to say that I truly love this backwater macdonald because I felt Maureen's presence next to me, and to anyone who is still reading this, that is the definition of love. I miss her so much. Lord, please let this end so I can find myself in the love of her embrace again Steve

A McDonald's with no burgers. Not ideal and bit exactly a brilliant business model

Good quality food here worth a go if on area busy place although staff work hard to help customers

Staff on 19/10/24 approx 23:00. Absolutely full on McMongs….. Ordered through the app still had to wait over 15mins for my order while the staff arsed about in the kitchen. Apon receiving my order returned to my vehicle to notice part of order missing, how dose this happen surely not rocket science. Returned to the counter to get the missing part of order and was ignored by 4 members of staff while they walked passed as I’m basically having to hang over the counter to get someone’s attention. As again they were more interested buggering about back in the kitchen, even your drive though guy at the window didn’t have the common sense to alert one of his fellow McMongs that there was by now a que waiting for attention.

It's the same as any Mac Donald's only bad point is it's badly designed for drive through if it had been put on the opposite side of the building then it wouldn't have traffic queuing up on main road

Just remembered why I stopped going to mc D's what used to be fast food is still not fast !!

Yet again, the app is not working, and there was no receipt. The manager was excellent and couldn't apologise enough.

Place depends on the staff rota. Some visits are great, some other visits are met with rude staff that don't care.

Great place to stop for a quick feed on the way to Aberdeen. Always clean inside and friendly staff.

This place was just recently refurbished but wasn't very well thought through. Everyone crammed into 1 tight area for ordering and waiting. Was better laid out before. Just use the drive through or order at table.

Generally its ok although I had an experience at the drive through about a month ago when I was asked at the drive through by a male voice asking me "what do you want" rather than "welcome to McDonald's, what can I get you" greeting. I was quite taken aback by this and never thought to mention it at the window🤦 The door ordered are mostly on point although I've had wrong orders in the past here but because it's the drive through we go to, we so t realise until we have driven away. Most of the staff are on point but there are some that I think need some more training in customer service. EDIT** this was at the Elgin McDonald's and not the forfar one.

Drive through order it's unfortunate that each time we have visited something is always unavailable. I've never yet managed to get an iced latte there.

Very very slow to serve inside customers drive through are definitely priority. No one at the till to help with a query so waiting ages for assistance. The food was fine a little cold especially the chips I think because it has been sat waiting for someone to serve it.

I went for an interview last Saturday asked to sit down and wait. 20 mins later (sitting like a numpty) to be told that the interviewer had gone home sick and would call before tuesday to reschedule! Well guess what they never called! Why waste my time and invite me in? - obviously I'm far toooo old to work there!!!!

Typical bog standard McDonalds. Nothing special. Nothing bad. Like them all, it's hit or a miss if the chips are hot. It's bright & right next to the A90, so it's also handy. But whatever you do, don't use the place for an extended comfort break because if you're over 90 minutes, you'll get hit for a parking charge from PCUK.

New setup with the machine ordering only is ridiculous. What was wrong with the previous system. All this is is a way to maximise profits with lower staffing. Some people were waiting 20 minutes for their order. Found the burgers tasted like plastic

Took 1st Fochabers Cubs for tea onroute to a large camp, the staff were fantastic and very helpful making sure ever was happy and fed

Called in on the way back lto home. The food quickly arrived and was very good. The restaurant and its facilities were very clean. Good restaurant to call 8n at.

A very busy McDonald’s constantly has a queue of cars. My last visit the queue was moving fast but after ordering was asked to park and wait for my food. 20 minutes later and still nothing. So looks quiet but not. The car park is too small, there were cars stuck everywhere.

This branch is getting worse....1230am.... Appears to be turning into a local youth club and waited 20 minutes on a coffee!

Drive threw is a nightmare having to go park and wait everytime, why not stop taking orders untill you have caught up!

Nuggets were yummy and the leftovers tasted even better cold on the way back. Desserts were delicious too.

They were chucking buns as I could see and then they dropped my milkshake this is terrible.

Went through drive through for a coffee and a mc chicken sandwich from the saver menu. Got the coffee ok but the mcchicken sandwich was just the bun and the chicken!! No mayo no lettuce .... no good!!

Food is as good as you'd expect from McDonalds. No major outliers as far as criticisms. Drive thru mistook smarties mcflurry and gave skittles. Food that i was given was alright though

Another visit here, and although they now have separate accomodation for the Uber Eats drivers to collect, the service is still a bit rubbish. Yet again the Milkshakes and McFlurries were "temporarily unavailable" which seems to be a common occurrence at this branch, compared to others. Swapping to other items didn't help, as suddenly apple pies and brownies also became unavailable. Result - disappointed kids.

Ordered bi mac meal,burger was tiny and no onions ,no mayonnaise, no barbecue on roll,burger was dry and tastless.

The best chocolate milkshake I've had from McDonald's in a long time, it actually tasted like chocolate and the fries just hit different today.

Be warned. If you hate ordering at a faceless machine this is not the place for you. One till available for the magic of human interaction in addition to 4 order screens. Mcdonalds need to be aware that dyslexia or other impairments should be catered for a little better. Stressful to use at busy times

Order wrong every time, dirty looks, windows slammed, zero manners, zero smiles then you get left in carpark for 48minutes waiting for a happymeal. Won't be back, too stressful and way too long for a drive thru

This McDonald's branch has very much gone down hill. The past few times we have been the food has been very poor chips undercooked and order wrong with missing condiments everytime. Complained numerous times about food and just had replaced with no explanation, flagged for a regional manager to contact me weeks ago now and still had no phone call about the ongoing issues in this restaurant. Avoid at all costs go to a proper restaurant who does better food.

Service has changed since refurb, food looks like its thrown together and always a wait at the drive through. Considering the price increase of mcdonalds, its not even a cheap and cheerful place to eat any more

This place is normally lovely to visit, but today i experienced a whole different situation, my friend orders a chicken mayo takes 25 MINUTES to come she asks after 15 minutes where it is she gets laughed at and told that it’s coming.Then when it finally arivves it comes inside out. The mayo was on the OUTSIDE aswell as the LETTUCE. Is it that hard to put a chicken mayo together

I wish the food was hot so you can take time to eat and enjoy it however it doesn't matter what McDonald's you visit it's more often cold before you get it, I'm sick and tired of taking cold chips back and asking for fresh ones. It's not a pleasure eating cold chips and cold burgers.

Horrendous! Ordered a "MCDELIVERY". 6 meals for the family as a treat. When the order arrived we discovered only drinks had been sent. When we spoke to driver he claimed that was all he was given. We then phone the restaurant and were asked if we could come and collect which on this particular we could not, we were then told that there was nothing that could be done and we'd have to attempt to get a refund for the missing items. We are still waiting and can take up to 15 day. JOKE

Found this fast food place rather unfriendly. I used the board to order, no receipt with my food order number on it asked about it to be told my number. Service rather slow, but customers orders after mine wad served first

Simple but much needed refresh stop Burgers freshly made and spot on

Visited about a month ago and the printers weren't working and the first stall in the new ladies loo was full of poop and wouldn't flush. Today the printers still aren't working and the offending stall was locked shut 😕

Waited over 20 minutes for food. Nobody at the desk and there was a queue of about 12 to 15 people also waiting and wondering where their food was. Just eat and drive through seem to take priority here.

Wish I never went, ignorant people parked in disabled spots without badges while waiting for their food, this included food delivery people.
