McDonald's in Conwy

Very small parking and difficult to get into. However food was warmer than in other McDonalds branches.

Terrible! Told to wait outside for 10 mins @ 06:50 because they open at 7am even though it states opening time is 6am on the door. Ordered food and got it thrown across the counter at me from a miserable server who couldn’t even offer a smile or apparently speak. Food was cold buns hard / stale and the meat burnt. Best part of the meal was the drink - A bottle of water not much they can get wrong with that. No wonder McDonald’s sales are dropping so fast. It’s not a fast food joint that’s sells delicious hot food anymore it’s a wait for your cold overcooked overpriced food place.

This was a genuine farce. I've not had a McDonald's with such appalling service in my life, and we get McDonald's almost every other week. So we know what we're talking about. Firstly, we attempted to place an order but it refused to go through yet charged us twice. The staff finally managed to help us, however when we got our food, a burger was missing entirely. And, despite our purchase of a toasted marshmallow hot chocolate, we only received a regular one. You'd think after all that faff with paying for it, we'd get everything we ordered but clearly the employees here lack a functional frontal lobe and are downright incompetent. I advise nobody to come to this McDonald's ever again. It is a waste of space that could've provided crops for animals to eat. But given McDonald's genuine lack of soul anymore, I can't even see it at the very least looking good. Bland design and can't even adequately celebrate the fact they've been around since the forties.

This place is absolutely terrible. Don’t bother coming here if you need to charge your phone. None of the sockets work. Stopped to charge my phone on a long journey, but wish I hadn’t bothered. Bought a McFlurry and what I was presented with was a joke; a tiny melted pot of ice cream that seemed like it was left over from another customer. It must have been about two spoonfuls. Took it back and was replaced. Staff were civil but seem like they’ve absolutely had enough. The place was a total mess, although they did have staff cleaning up who were apologetic. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere.

It was as if the very essence of hygiene had been forsaken. As I placed my order, I was met with an ineffable delay, which, while understandable during peak hours, was exacerbated by an apparent lack of urgency among the staff. When my meal finally arrived, I was struck by the abject mediocrity of its presentation. The burger, a veritable travesty, was assembled haphazardly, the bun appearing forlorn and the ingredients carelessly strewn within. To compound my discontent, the fries were nothing short of a scandal. Presented in a meager portion that could only be described as a token offering, they were limp and tepid, lacking any semblance of the golden crispness one might reasonably anticipate. The paltry serving left much to be desired, a far cry from the bounteous portions one hopes to receive. As if this were not enough, the beverage—a simple Coke—was filled only halfway, leaving me to ponder the audacity of such a partial serving. One cannot help but feel a sense of affront when one’s thirst is met with such paltry generosity. Furthermore, the pièce de résistance of this unfortunate meal was the conspicuous absence of the dipping sauce I had requested—a grievous oversight that rendered my experience all the more disheartening. The lack of attention to detail, which ought to be a hallmark of any establishment, particularly one of this global stature, was glaringly apparent. In conclusion, my visit to this McDonald's was a lamentable affair, characterized by a conspicuous lack of cleanliness, an utter disregard for customer satisfaction, and an overall failure to deliver the most basic tenets of fast food. It is with a heavy heart that I say I shall not be returning to this particular establishment, as the memory of this dismal experience lingers on, a cautionary tale for those who dare to venture into its threshold.

Cheap cheerful average all the way

I got a takeaway but not the first one I chose they didn't have maple syrup for pancakes and ice cream and milk shakes were off not great

Me going through the abergele drive thru - just a cheeseburger please, can you wait in the waiting bay? For a cheeseburger? Used to have a neighbour once who worked at abergele maccies heard her saying once she was a food production specialist for an interantional chain of resturants. To all staff at abergele maccies, get off Instagram, have a reality check, get on the grill and knock out the burgers! I worry for this generation lives built on fantasy.

Had the mc rib absolutely disgusting nothing like it used to be plus it was cold rustlers version taste better

Great when you turn up at 23:06 when it says walk in are available and it's locked up 🤔 maybe give a time for walk ins so people don't walk a mile or more to find out it's locked up

Utterly horrendous - Bought a box of 20 chicken nuggets for the kids, opened the box and one of the nuggets had a bite taken out of it! To add insult to injury, the chips were cold and they forgot to a few items off the order! NEVER AGAIN!

First time using the app. Good was ready working second of stepping in.

App failed (their fault) so had to go to kiosk, then waited half an hour to get food (breakfast). I was working at the time so wasn't best pleased

Does what is says on the tin! It's a shame that the speed of service has slowed down to a snail's pace these days. It should be ready within minutes of ordering. I have timed it over 10 minutes for a double cheeseburger and a milkshake!

How hard is it to get a plain (no cheese) quarter pounder meal? 1st attempt consisted of 99p cheeseburger, chips & oj. Back to drive through - order point lad told me "not my problem" - to go to the next window. 2nd attempt was double cheeseburger & chips. Back round to drive in, didn't bother with order point or 1st window - bag handed over & asked "manager" to check order. Just gave me the bag & wished me a good evening - no apology. Obviously, by asking staff for an order not off the set menu, you take a chance with what you actually receive!

I do not go to macs often but after a day out with the grandchildren we sometimes pop in. This is the forth time in about two months that we have been for mcfulrrys, only to be told that they are not available because the machine is over heating. Or it's being cleaned or broken. It seems to be on the weekend, it's a major pain, because once you are in the queue, at the koisk you can't get out, and then explain to four kids why they can't have an ice cream because Ronald hasn't made any is wearing a bit thin. If you want to clean the machine after a certain time, then please make it known. That you won't be serving mc flurry, rather than a 19yr old kid coming out with a poor excuse and expecting you to belive it

Wrong meal, soggy chips, tried to swop with someone else's meal. No service no smile awful....

Visited macdonalds in abergele this morning for breakfast and there was a big queue on the drive thru,also had to park up and wait a further 15 minutes to have the food brought out to the car park.

Was busy waited 20 mins for a customised burger as don't have sauce when got it was Luke warm going down this McDonald's the orders pile up yet the staff just deal with drive threw or deliveroo before counter customers there was 7 doing orders but only 2 actually doing them

At age 64 I've had a few big macs over the years. This one was great but they a section for old gits as the music was awful. Won't stop me coming though 😄

Was ok food was wrong so got that changed and burger not wrapped properly so was half out the paper so had that replaced also.

Excellent service excellent quality staff were great for making everything nice because there was quite a few of us. Thank you.

Decent McD's... fresh food for a change

My 3 year old Grandson and I went on his way home, we loved it had a good time and he ate all his food. This store (Walkden) has changed and not really for the better, no sugar and stirrers, no ketchup dispensers, tissues, salt n pepper etc. you have to keep asking now, was better when you could help yourself. Not sure if this is all locations though.

Fast service even though very busy

This has got to be the slowest, worst mcdonalds I've ever been in. Bins overflowing, toilets disgusting, service so slow. It wasn't even busy just a bad place

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I was absolutely disgusted with the service on my recent visit. I was rudely approached by a member of staff named Lisa B. Her attitude was disgusting and very disrespectful towards me and she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She then continued to stare at me whilst I was trying to eat my meal and even went to the effort to follow me outside and act busy. Very unpleasant. Do not recommend and this lady does not deserve a job involving customer service.

Very untidy McDonald’s restaurant They need to pick up there rubbish outside of the building. The Road ,car park is full of there litter

Had the birthday special double big Mac. It was very difficult to eat and really too much, wouldn't have it again. The birthday doughnuts are scrumptious, much better than I thought they would be. We sat outside as the weather was ok and our dog could stay with us too.

Just been here ordered 2 big mac meals and a 9 piece chicken nugget meal got back home to find they never put the chicken nuggets in the bag I mean come on its not hard to Puck the full order and makesure it in the bag for the customer

Came here 4am in the morning. Got stale fries and burger patty tasted like it was made 2 days before. Went inside to ask for new fries atleast but inside the smell was very bad. Like some homeless people been camping inside or something. (Nothing against homeless but you get my point) Very unpleasant odour. Woudnt go again inside. The lady was king enough to change our fries for freshly made ones! 👏

Unbelievable. The car in front of us in the drive thru clearly worked there so the workers wouldn’t serve us until they had a 20 minute chat with them. Insanely rude - I understand it’s a McDonald’s - but this was utterly a waste of time.

This is easily the best McDonald’s of all time. I met some friendly people and talked about dogs. My favourite was Kelpies because they are smart.

Took my two 5 yr old grandchildren for lunch , a group of 3 staff were stood in child section going on about another member of staff ( who wasn't working today ) , plenty of colouring paper but not a pencil in sight , asked a member of staff if they had any pencils she said 'no , people take them and we're only allowed so many a month" , went to eat our food outside which was nice , except that the little play area was closed ( no explanationas to why just that it wasnt open today ?).... no colouring pencils and no play area and it's half term ?!! Not impressed

This is the best McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The staff were so friendly and helpful, really attentive. The restaurant was immaculate and everyone was really welcoming. Would recommend

Only stopped for the toilet which were clean but very small. Car park badly laid out and had to queue in the drive through line to get to a disabled parking bay of which there were only two. Drive through came back through the car park and as I reversed out of a disabled bay I was nearly hit by a car from the drive through that also drove through two pedestrian crossings with people crossing without stopping or even slowing down. Car park is a death trap and someone is going to be badly hurt one day. Needs sorting.

A place for drinks and quick snacks. The atmosphere attracts young people and children. Hot meals can be eaten in the store or taken outside the store.

Away for week with family not far from here so dropped in to feed kids . Nuggets on menu but not available as a happy meal option when ordering on machine . All 5 adults left their fries due them being cold and tasteless. Colouring sheets out on offer but no colouring crayons or pencils for kids available. Play park out of action I'm assuming due to health and safety issues. Everything was just sloppily put together so burgers etc collapsing

Was told at the drive through that maccies don't do a large chicken nugget meal on Sunday. Went earlier in the week after a huge walk and got a large chicken nugget meal then so not sure why we were told that? I looked on the app as well and shows they do it as a large meal so was a bit confused. There was two young lads on the drive through and looked like they were messing around as well. Other than that it was fine :)

great place to get something to eat very quick service loys of parking spaces 24hr service.called in today all I required was a coffee, stood around for about 15 mins even though it wasn't busy. My number was on the board to collect but when it eventually arrived it was cold. Couldn't stay to complain as I had a coach to catch. Don't think I'll bother in future.

Food has gone really bab not that it was ever nice... but the price... McDonald's is a total waste of money...

Really lovely little McDonald's - it was very busy as it seems to be the only one in a certain radius... There were not many tables and it was very full, but the food was good, the views were amazing by the mountains!

Location convenient for rest break. But busy drive thru and the food was stone cold when it was taken to us without any sauces etc. Had similar experience before.

The place was very dirty, they must have been understaffed because I've never saw a mcdonald's so bad. We visited on Saturday before Easter as we was up from birmingham. And to top it off the food was terrible, the only good thing was you could order from table.

Away for the weekend so came here and the place was disgusting. Food all over the floor, dirty tables and toilet paper thrown all over the floor in the toilets. Definitely no pride in this workspace. The food was cold when it arrived at our table and some of the fries weren't even cooked properly. Won't be coming again.

I don't often come to McDonalds, but this was the worst I've been too. Food was slow and cold. And the worst of it.....we saw rats all outside in the children's play area and outdoor seating area. Washed £30 of food after seeing the rats. We ran out of there!

Shocking I ordered a big tastey meal I paid got my food in a 3 minutes parked my car and the food was cold and to top it off the burger was disgusting. Never again would rather eat the inside of my trainers

Ended up being stranded here whilst waiting for breakdown recovery. As a Mcdonalds does its standard however a special mention goes to "Mark" who was on shift that day. He made us feel welcome and looked ater us for a considerable amount of time whilst waiting for revocery. He was pleasant, funny and welcoming. Lovely guy.

I honestly think it's the best Macdonalds I've ever been to. Beautiful food, everywhere spotless including the loos.. A massive thank you.

Food did not taste good. Chips were totally cold. Burger was also cold, No milkshake, not a pleasant experience, table stank of cleaning fluid, staff not interested.

How rude the staff are when they get the order wrong, then literally throw the food at u. I was very polite with the situation. Food was cold and still gave me a wrong meal, after i told him twice. He was that rude about it. Made me leave, seriously what happened to customers service with a smile

There was no service as you do it yourself. They put your food on counter you take it away

5p for a bag to carry food in when taking away. 10p sauces

Its McDonalds so you know what your getting. Bad point about this restaurant is that they regularly mess up special orders. Place is always clean etc
