McDonald's in Northumberland

Every single time we've been to this McDonald's the order has been wrong. You have to check everytime and always go back in which defeats the point of the drive through. You can see from the other reviews that this is a common scenario. It's such a bad way to run a business, the owner should be ashamed of themselves. Would not recommend going here.

An update - for the past 2 years we've been going to this drive-thru and literally every single week they miss something from the order! There has been ONCE in 2 years where everything was correct. How hard can it be?! Have to stop and check every time before driving away. The staff just think it's normal for customers to have to check their order, there's no trust anymore so we have to!! Got home 2 weeks ago to find no fries for 2 meals, kicked off and quite rightly given how useless they are. Last week there were dips missing. This week there was a side and dips missing! They've put up a sign for customers not to abuse staff, I wonder why! Get it right then you bloody bunch of numpties!

Absolutely shocking! Absolutely every single time I've used the drive through they get the order wrong! Literally 100 percent of the time stuff is missing from the order! Unbelievable!

I’m so disappointed. The worst £35 I’ve spent what a waste most of the food went in the bin it was cold and dry. My daughter couldn’t eat hers and she eats anything… I know that’s a 35 pound I’ll never see again I’ve been told there’s a chance of a refund but I doubt that will happen, also my I add it was a hour and a half late!!

The slowest mcdonalds ever, and when food does come out it's usually stone cold, missing things and poorly made.

Order is never right always have to go back in Night shift just put cones in the drive thru and block it off. No such thing as 24 hour maccies anymore deffo not in Prudhoe anyway Pointless it being there

Can't go lower than 1 star I would if I could... however I ordered a sweet chilli chicken wrap meal with Fanta so 1st of all no fizzy drinks... fair enough 2nd my chips weren't cooked and 3rd my wrap tasted soapy. Had a monopoly cheeseburger or chicken nuggets... I ordered the burger to get chicken nuggets even though I already ordered nuggets. Ordered a twix mcflurry to have all of 3 pieces of topping on Ordered a galaxy mcflurry to have 0 topping Absolute waste of money How simple can people be to not get an order right or even do it properly

8pm, waited 45 minutes for 3 meals in the DT for them to forget the order three times and have to come back and ask what we ordered.

Thought I’d try this McDonald’s one more time, the cheese burgers absolutely stink they are extremely greesy and taste wierd not fresh. Also the staff got our orders mixed up and said our payment didn’t go through when we had payed cash, Another member of staff had an attidude after we were asked our order 3 times. I will not be retuning!

This particular McDonald's was in our opinion my wife and myself was very poor the service was ok it was very crowded due to the schools being off on a week's holiday. The Food is the poorest I have had in many Macdonald's all over Europe ....The Fries were just say warm , they should be really call chip stick because they were over cooked and re-warmed up like they had been cooked and left over the heat too long.. My wife's chicken burger was smaller than she had, had anyway. It took was warm and not hot. Our grandson loves McDonald's but he left most of his fries (chip sticks)but eat his chicken nuggets. Very poor value for money because of hard fries and only just say warm if they were any colder I would have returned everything and asked for our money back but because of it being so crowded we are what was worth it and left... Sorry McDonald's but you will never get us back there again because of yourself poor standards ... The manager here dose not read ANY complaints about the way he runs this Mac D.. Sorry but he should go if you can't do the job get someone that can..0/10 for this MacDonald s Prudhoe....

Mcdonalds is one of those places that make me feel bad whenever I give them money. Experiences are never good, and I hate going there.

Takes forever to get served at the Drive through and the coffee just tastes like milky water every single time I've been.

They somehow manage to get every order wrong, with something always missing. Also, McDonald’s coffee is usually very nice but the stuff they serve here just isn’t - it’s so weak that you get milky water instead of coffee. Avoid.

Very long wait considering it wasn't busy, mayo chicken came without mayo, just a dry chicken piece in a dry bum, that is basic. This was a great McDonald's when it first opened but now service is slow and mistakes are often

Staff are friendly and the food tastes great, but you get put in the grill bay for twenty minutes for the most basic of orders, and literally nine times out of ten your order will be missing at least one item and you've got to go inside. Not ideal.

Slow service, waited 15 mins for a quarter pounder

Usually get the orders wrong on atleast one aspect everytime so double check your orders. Drive through is reasonably quick but in store they very rarely serve you at the til and often walk past several times . The kids tablets that are built into the tables don't work . Food tastes fine when they get the order right after u take it back several times.

Prudhoe McDonalds - staff are barely ever at the counter so you could be waiting a while. When asked if there were any Mr.Men toys the manager came over with an attitude because what is a 3 year old meant to do with Uno Cards-the state of McDonald’s toys are terrible nowadays, junk. Update: 29th April. Food ordered at 1654. Food brought to the table 25 minutes later (happy meal and a wrap) certainly NOT “fast food” and it wasn’t boiling hot just a little bit warm. No urgency, the assistant did apologise but she appeared to be the only one handing food out - are they low in staff?

Place was empty but somehow took 50 minutes for food to come to the table, then half the order was cold. Was initially told its cause the are "very busy." had a wander downstairs. Was just full of delivery drivers waiting to collect. Spoke to the manger who pretty much confirmed that the system prioritises deliveries over people in the shop.

Food is always great, but getting orders correct is a bit hit and miss. Sometimes things that are meant to come with sauces (such as halloumi fries or mozzarella sticks) don't come with the sauces. I sometimes order sauces on the app, and they don't get put in the bag. I've asked for items without cheese such as Big Mac or McMuffin and they've still had cheese on them. Overall, it's a decent place. They need to change their times on the website though as they're listed as 24 hours, even though this is only the case on weekends.

Drive through only. Quick efficient service, my son loved his food.

Don’t get a delivery if it’s a delivery you want get a Domino’s

Pretty much standard. Busy drive through and walk-ins are 0.0000001% of customer base. Parking is a bit busy and if your not in driver through it's erm a challenge

This is a 5 star mcdonalds. That's a 2 star anywhere else but as mcdonalds go this one is great. Very clean, quick, fresh etc. Still serves mcdonalds food but you really can't fault them for that. For that I fault myself because I keep eating it.

Absolutely disgusting. Chicken nuggets rock hard not edible, cheese inside the mozzarella sticks where also hard. I thought Blaydon McDonald's was bad this place might be even worse

Caroline,on duty now was rather abrupt,totally unhelpful and unapologetic when I complained that,yet again I paid for condiments and didn't receive them. Caroline said madam,your dips are free" which was untrue. She decided I should drive 4miles back to Prudhoe and return the meals. I will return the food tomorrow,in my time. A simple sorry and a code to return my dips money would have sorted this issue but this woman was particularly robust. I shall expect a full refund tomorrow. Julie x

Never had a bad experience at this McDonald’s! Food is always hot and delivered quickly even when busy. Staff are very friendly.

Theyre never open on time. Every time this month ive showed up at 6:30 to get a coffee before i go to work and they're closed. Even though it says they open at 6.

Use the menu boards to order meals and collect from the counter little interaction from staff It is what is says on the tin fast food

I ordered a bacon roll, a hash brown and a cappuccino at the drive thru. When I got home I realised I'd received a sausage, cheese and egg mcmuffin, a hash brown and a black coffee with something sweet in it (tasted like syrup). Can't they ever get a simple order right? The wrong order was actually more complicated to create than my actual order!

Well to start with I have never got the right order last visit asked for hot sauce with share box of nuggets ....hot nothing inside bag ? Time before ordered big mack meal with diet coke and moved onto bottom window ... after 5-10 mins later the window opened and was giving two full bags of food Two large big mac meals chicken sellect and 🧀 burgers bill in bag £26 quid ... Happy they employees are clowns sometimes thanks mac dee prudhoe

This is not 24hrs went at 0355hrs this morning and it was closed. Don’t advertise it as a 24 hrs and then close. I won’t use this branch ever again another customer lost.

Ordered two macrispy meals, two mcflurries. How difficult can that be. Got to window to pick up food. Given bag of food and one mcflurry. Was told only one was ordered and I had to go back through again and reorder. Then when I got home realised there was only one macrispy. This is a regular happening. So often it seems deliberate. Absolute shambles. Also was not given a receipt.

Clean tidy just something missing....can't put finger on it.

A new(ish) place so still looking fresh and clean. In fact there was a lady doing a deep clean of the place on new years eve when we were there. The place was only let down by the amout of random children who all seemed about 9 or 10 years old using the place as a meeting point taking up space and not buying anything, whilst I was in there anyway. Second visit here today, 2nd June 2023 and it's still a nice clean place.

4 people to mess up an order. Asked and paid for 2 double sausage and egg McMuffin meals. Got 2 single McMuffin meals instead. I swear it’s not hard to shove another sausage on each bun.

Had to travel here from Hexham but THIS McDonalds carries the entire menu unlike the Hexham franchise. Clean polite professional with a full menu.

Sorry, not a fan of McDonald's. Awful chips and the burgers are the worst on the high street. About as thick as a piece of paper . Can't believe the numbers frequenting their premises . Junk food . Kids wanted to go; just had a coffee myself.

Says 24hrs and ordered on app only to turn up to closed drive thru and store door. Lad tells me 6am they open. If that is case update your hours.

The staff were friendly and greeted us on the way in and out. Food was delicious and very filling. One of the best McDonald's I've been to.

Terrible service. Nobody else in the drive through. Waited a while before somebody asked to take the order, apparently couldn't hear, asked us to drive to the first windiw which was shut. Took a while for an attendant to come to the window. Drove to the next window. Waited a while before the meals came & they immediately shut the window. Drove out & a mile up the road before realizing they hadn't given us the drinks. Had to go back. Useless service, especially as not at all busy. Wouldn't even give it one star.

Drive through and the restaurant shut at 00:15 on a Saturday night.

Food was re heated not usually a problem with McDonald’s think it just depends who you have working there feel like I’ve ate in a third world country, was absolute vile with greasy finger prints on my bun very runny big mac sauce? Stale cheese bites nearly choked on and forgot the sauces I asked for I mean it’s night shift no other cars there and still can’t get 1 order right. Feel like a male Karen, but spent a lot of money at McDonald’s just like a lot of others it should be reliable not expecting 5 star dining but at least edible.

All the food was cold, my big mac had nothing between 2 pieces of bread and was all thrown into the bottom of the box, terrible experience and staff who just don't care, my advise would be never to visit this branch of McDonald's in prudhoe.

Tried ordering from the app for table service , it said no hot drinks available. So I asked at the counter, and they informed me they did have hot drinks and must be problem with app so took my order via the till. This has happened before with my husband and son when ordered on the app for the drive through , obviously they did not question this as thought it must be right, like when they say have no mcflurrys or milk shakes.

Locked out all the customer after the match so went through drive through to be told to come back in half an hour... abysmal customer service! To think we drove past blaydon McDonald's to come here.

Very busy,poor atmosphere with overworked staff

I've rated this high as my grandchildren love this place. For me it's terrible and can't be classed as a restaurant.

Ordered on Uber eats asked for no lettuce and they put extra lettuce on when it says no lettuce asked for sauces aswell and got absolutely none need to check orders more

Took 15mins for the food and on a cheeseburger with no bun they seem to think its OK to put the cheese under the burger

Lovely new building,very clean, not great service. Stood at the cash desk as there was a problem with my app I needed to give a code along with 2 other women who were there longer than me after a 4/5 min wait I shouted excuse me to be served. The only helpful member of staff was Jacky who sorted my daughters deluxe hot chocolate out and got the rest of my order which was missing. The mcmuffins weren't cold but they weren't as hot as I like either.

Takes far too long for food to be sent out. Even when the store only has a few people I waited 10-20mins at times for food. They also say food is ready for collection on the screen 5 mins before it is.

Grabbed a coffee from drive thru on way to work. Drove 20 odd miles to work. Drove 20 miles back from work. Went to drive thru on way home for my dinner as was tired. Got a £50 parking ticket for being parked for nine and half hours!

Absolutely disgusting, took my 3 grandkids here for lunch, took a drink of my hot chocolate to find something crunchy in it..took it out of my mouth to find it was a fly🤮 told the duty manager who took my name and telephone number and gave me a refund for the hot chocolate..definitely won't be back!

If I could give minus stars I would. This place used to be brilliant but now it's a bunch of stressed staff running about cos they're doing the job of at least 3 people. The staff are excellent but the service is shockingly slow. All down to being short staffed. Manager deserves the sack

Wheels have come off. 8pm 3 October. Place is a shambles. Staff couldn't care. Just watched one look at her mobile phone. Customers waiting 15 mins to be served at the counter.

Ordered using the app, because it's meant to be quicker and more convenient. Oh well... It took 5 minutes for the app the realise I was there and more than 20 minutes for the - now cold - food to be ready for collection, and only then after I'd had to ask for it. By the time my order was ready, the 7 orders before me had been collected. And the 6 after my collection number. If that wasn't enough, when I opened the box and looked upon the deeply unappetising 'Big Tasty' it looked like someone had already taken a bite out of the bun. If I had another 25+ minutes of my life to waste, I would have complained, but who knows what creative way my experience would have been worsened?! It's just a shame I can't give zero stars.
