I really like McDonald's in Harwich it's very clean and drive though staff are incredibly helpful and friendly

Made the mistake again of using this place.No paper in machine for receipt like always.waited for food and had to listen to all the complaints from customers and Uber drivers that were complaining that food was being canceled and returned.This place is total embarrassment to the McDonald's franchise.

Very disappointed, waiting for 20 minutes for a drive through meal!!

Food qas fresh and hot however the restaurant was in need with better cleanliness.

Bad experience. No paper at the ordering station, good job I looked and remembered order number! Asked for happy meals, burgers for kids with ketchup only +lettuce, and what did we get? Onion, mustardand all the rest unwanted, lettuce was nowhere to be seen. Obvs i didnt check the inside of burgers at the till! As its was so busy and they didnt have squash in stock so had to deal with change of drinks. No tissues provided. Not happy meals- dissappointment!!

No comparison to a German McDonald's Coffee bad, food bad, not to mention what the English call breakfast!

It's McDonald's. It's a well known established business world wide. This is a reasonable store with ample seating, drive thru. Staff are nice and friendly.

Slow service! McDonald’s is fast food outlet I believe waited 20 minutes! In the end had to do to go to service counter which was unmanned and ask where the food was! No hot drinks only cold ones available this was because there wasn’t enough staff working and if they did hot drinks the service would be even slower! Drive through takes priority over restaurant as do Uber orders. When food arrived it was warm. Kids allowed to congregate in the restaurant without buying food, it’s like youth club only worse. This place in the worst McDonald’s in the UK absolute waste of time. Staff don’t give a toss about anything. There’s never any napkins or condiments out. Please do us all a favour and close the place down immediately. Disgusting establishment.

Excellent cappuccino, although it is better in the Netherlands.

Great place to stop before or after getting on/off the ferry. The manager was out and about making sure the customers were well looked after. Really clean restrooms.

Fast efficient service with a smile at every drive through counter.

Ordered a delivery tonight at 7.14, got a confirmation email saying it would be delivered at 8.15. 8.45 and the meal has still not arrived. Tried to call them but the number was permanently engaged (off the hook). I then went to the outlet and spoke to the manager. Manager did not seem to care but instead blamed the Uber driver for not attending work tonight. She stated there hadn’t been an Uber driver since 5.30. I was not called to tell me my order had been cancelled however, I was emailed at 8.40 telling me I had been refunded. This is the second time this has happened at the place in the last 6 weeks. I certainly won’t be using them again an I urge everyone else to avoid also. Terrible communication, even worse customer service and absolutely no remorse.

Nice people, more than likely in their first job, but they are doing very well. Nice to see a friendly face when using the drive-through.

The staff here are always much friendlier than your usual Maccies. It makes a difference.

Toilets looked a bit grubby, but OK otherwise. We ate the Vegetable Deluxe meal deal. It wasn't unpleasant, but not the nicest veggie burger I've ever eaten. They need to up their game on the Veggie options. Very boring, but OK if your desperate (which we were). Parking is good as is the wheelchair access.

Cold 🍟 fries, lukewarm phili burger. Not even half of the normal McDonald standard. I guess the kitchen staff had a party, lots of laughter and swearing from the back. Shame on this particular McDonald Harwich outlet.

Wrong food from order, undercooked chips, lukewarm food. Dreadful in many ways.

Made an order- mac donalds didn't put the item in the bag, call them up and say you must complaine to uber! Uber only deliver the food!! After a convocation with a member of staff they agree to deliver missing item, 1 hour goes by and nothing so I call back up and a manger said I should not have been told that! I then drive down there to be confronted with the most useless manager iv ever know called Connor!! He said I must re-pay for the missing food and claim it back off them!!conner the manager still blames uber after mc donalds didn't put the food in the bag!! Moral of the story is don't order from harwich mc donands because they constantly get the order wrong!! As for conner the world's worst manager, seems to me he is part of reason why the the service provided by harwich mc donalds is so poor!!! 2 hours!! Driving down there!!! Useless,rude and incompetent manager called conner!! £47 waisted!!

Updated review today - I ordered 4 drinks on click and collect and after 20 minutes thought I would investigate why they hadn't arrived. The restaurant was not busy and there were plenty of staff but it took a further 5 minutes to acknowledge me. I was then told by the manager that we had been forgotten about and then he changed it to the blended ice machine wasn't working. Brought the drinks out, no apology for the now 30 minute wait for 4 drinks. Drove off and parked to drink them, the latte was half full and the iced drinks were not icy. Poor show Macdonald's Harwich, poor show.

Wonderful place with kind and awsome staff

Been here twice now same both times Food was nice enough as you'd expect from a maccers. It's the staff that need to be adress , both times 2 different girls have called my number then all but thown My food at me no eye contact no other words just a number call then tossed in my direction and thre walking away before I have even reached the table to collect. Was around 7pm and was very quiet. On top od that, car park feels u safe too sat in my car to eat on both occasions as there were rowdy youngers inside, only to watch people harassing customers in the carpark for money etc and going around brazenly checking if car doors are locked...... didn't feel safe even slightly even saw multiple staff witness this guy checking car doors and harassing people doing nothing about it. . Poor.

Typical macca D's , quite clean and place for kids to play, only problem was a few tablets didn't work.

Yes they do deliveries, the same delivery drivers with few Uber Eats different profile picture accounts delivered our food every days and months. Most of the delivery driver profile pictures look very different do not match from their Uber Eats' delivery accounts and why they got away with it for a few years now??

What can I say, its a mcdonalds, but right of the port so super convenient and an excellent example of a good mcdonalds.

The chili wraps are amazing it's the taste and I'd recommend it especially with the nuggets and lettuce

The bathrooms and tables are not clean

Ordered food here about 6 times now and the service is extremely slow, one of the worst restaurants for wait times. And to top that off, the staff have a pretty shocking attitude if you even suggest the wait is too long.

They use Uber Eats for deliveries. The Uber Eats delivery driver that goes by the name ‘Dagmar’ never delivered the food worth £44 but on the app they confirmed it as delivered. We are supplied with a security pin for the when the driver arrives however it’s always the same pin and this participial driver has delivered for us before, I suspect they memorised the pin from last time and just pretended to deliver it. The reason McDonalds is receiving this rating is for their poor customer service and overall how they get simple orders wrong. Time and time again from past deliveries they always seem to forget a portion of the delivery when packing. It doesn’t help that Uber Eats does not always offer refunds.

Love the table service because of the children

I haven't had breakfast in a long time at Mds and was disappointed at the Size of the muffin and dryness. It wasn't fresh! Coffee was good though.

We wanted to have a quick meal before boarding our ferry. It took us over half an hour to get our salad and a coffee to go with it.

Ordered coffee, as I was waiting for a ferry, took a stupid amount of time for a cup of coffee, that I could see to make its way to me. People just walking in circles clueless, and my coffee sitting there, getting cold. I'll use Costa , next door , next time.

I ordered two cups of tea to take away, watched them being made and then watched them sit there on a shelf while members of staff wandered up and down not doing a lot. When I eventually got them I wasn't even offered any milk ! Very poor customer service.

This is not called McDonald’s in my place of work. It’s fat boy Friday and it never fails. It’s a consistent positive and lifts the Friday mood no end. I haven’t been inside for a while but the food is great. It’s weird that no matter what McDonald’s you go to, the food always tastes identical.

Fastfood restaurant. Good for a quick bite to eat. They were cleaning while I was there. And it was necessary.

Every time we have been to this McDonald’s they always forget something in the order. If it’s through drive through or Uber eats. A very simple job that a toddler could do but 16 + can’t manage. Absolute joke! Very disappointed really they take no actions or responsibility for there actions. When you make a family order and a whole meal is missing.

Wasn't busy but by the time we got back, which was about 20mins, the food wasn't very hot. Bit disappointed. Service was good, staff were nice. Just the food temperature was poor even using a cool/hotbag like the just eat people do.

Dirty floors and the restrooms are awful. Smelling like they're mopping the floors with urine. Breakfast wasnt done well either, dry buns and slow service.

The latest delivery from Uber - the food was cold, the burger looked like something from a bin, the chips were like rubber. The only 'ok' thing was the mozarello cheese sticks, hence the 2 stars - but with those, Ive had better. This is definitely the last time I order from this branch!

Medium good espresso, but at a very good price and served quickly (if you're lucky). And early risers, so great if you just arrived with the ferry.

The entire building smelled like rotten eggs. I did my part by standing by the automatic door to allow some fresh air in. The food was fine but we ate in our car because of the stench.

This has got to be the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever visited. The place stank like an open sewer. Food was ready and I could see it, but staff was more worried about talking to each other in the back area. Milkshake tasted funny. Glad I’m on transit traveling, but I feel sorry for the people that actually have to go here more frequently.

last night at 22:30 I had a burger to eat, it was not fresh, it was quite old, the meat was not a normal burger, better

Slow service, lots of staff aimlessly walking around seeming not to be doing much. No sugar or stirrers in the condiment areas. Other customers complaining about missing items. The restaurant was not busy, would not like to see the chaos if is was. One toilet out of service

When ordering on delivery- the mcdonalds workers seem to think it’s acceptable to be careless over making sure the order is correct before sending out! multiple order I’ve made food is missing! Management is clearly poor as they should have this under control, disgraceful!

Went here today to order a big mac was told sorry we have no big macs!!!!! then tried to order a milkshake and told no milkshakes either, I mean come on seriously.......

I ordered for my staff at work. We picked up a order it was short of some items and they had no milkshakes. Tried phoning the 25times to say we were short in our order. The phone was either busy right to 22.40hrs constantly and they kept ending the call so tried when I got home the same. We have to be ordered several time some orders up to £60 when order was incorrect but paid for. Another from £28 to £41. Each time food was cold or incorrect. When we try to ring back no one ever answers the phone not even to rectify the order. So will try and get head office no to M put complaint in. Plus make others aware of the bad service on social media!! Does anyone know the head office no???. So I can ring them.

Went midweek when it was quiet! Got served quickly and food was good. Tables and eating areas were clean. The Harwich one seems to do well.

So short version, we needed something to eat and being New Year's day very few options. Visited a McDonald's in Harwich around 7:30. Service was quite good (not busy), but burger was adequate (at least warm) but chips were like cold rubber.

Polite and helpful staff and fast delivery.

Why oh why does the gents toilet always smell like something died and rotted in there ???????

Food cold and standards have dropped. Shame
