No stars if I could, awful, avoid !!!

20 minutes for a big mac meal. Server did apologise. Stood at the counter for a further five mins for a straw for my drink. No one in sight. Ended up helping myself behind the counter. Poor experience when I came for fast food!

Really gotta thank the young lady manager who was in charge tonight. After a delayed flight home we ordered food through Uber so we could eat and get into bed. The tracker on Uber was on the whole time as the kids were now hungry it then pinged up that it had been delivered, cut a long story short our food had not been delivered and was no where to be seen, drove down to McDonald's and the manager was so helpful and understanding and sorted the issue for us even though they had now closed down the kitchen. Cannot thank her enough for her help. Never had an issue at this McDonald's but this manager went above and beyond with service when Uber couldn't. Food always fresh and hot.

Friendly staff, quick service and the bonus is your fries are hot when served.

Absolutely terrible, couldn’t even get an order of 1 breakfast wrap meal right, came out twice asking if it was brown sauce or ketchup

Worst McDonald's ever! I would give zero stars if I could! Only had a cheeseburger and ended up with food poisoning which gave me such painful gastro to the point I rang 111, as I thought my appendix might be about to explode.

Turned up just before closing time, but the food and service were at a very high standard.

Always have to wait more then 20 minutes for a burger meal even if it’s no one inside at 21:00 ;) the stuff are playing inside, throwing napkins and shouting don’t know what’s wrong with this place. Have a look on the camera to see what they doing and the people are waiting ;)

Took 25 minutes to get 4 cheese burgers which were marginally warm. No apologies for wait... lots of customers waiting. Appalling service which doesn't even deserve 1 star

1 star is basically too much for this place. Order online and the food will arrive cold. The order always has missing items, if you call, and actually manage to get through, you're told there's nothing they can do to rectify their failure. I spoke with a manager, she basically found the situation amusing! Dreadful service all round, this is not the 1st time it's happened. To add, the drive-through has the slowest lever of service imaginable!

Not fast food slow food if you go to the drive through you may run out of MOT and car tax

I love McDonalds and have been a regular customer for years but this McDonalds outlet in Harwich need to change their delivery. Change Uber Eats. They use Uber Eats by default once you order from the App. Uber Eats delivery takes 2 to 3 hours for a journey of less than 10 minutes drive or 15 minutes cycling. Whereas other delivery services will deliver in minutes. Sometimes, Uber Eats will deliver the order in a very unhygienic way because they have gone round England with the order. In most cases the order will be incomplete because they must have given them to the wrong persons. I made an order today, and it was cancelled after 3 hours of continued change of delivery time because I protested when they delayed my delivery of an order I made a month earlier. I reordered the same things from McDonalds using Just Eats and they were delivered within 9 minutes. This has happened twice. McDonalds Harwich should abandon Uber Eats if they don’t want to loose their customers to competitors.

The Uber driver White (Fake number plate) RO 72 YGL, related to the management, has delivered our food has been dangerous driving many times. She's the only one parked in the disabled bay during delivery like a VIP!!

Either the wait is ridiculous or they get my order incorrect. Can't be bothered to waste my time here anymore.

They allowing uber drivers pick up more one delivery so time it get to you it stone cold! This is against uber policy. 2 is max per delivery driver and had wait 45min for cold meal!. Don't use uber side of this restaurant your better of using taxi specially don't trust this uber guy he claim be biking but driving???? It all there for u customer see as not been first guy now who suffered

So slow definitely not a fast food outlet if burger king can provide a decent service I think this macdonalds will close down, truly a rubbish service

Awful McDonald’s doing the usual scam of pre-clearing orders due to massive delays meaning their KPIs don’t show the reality of how badly run the place is. My order went to “please collect” 14 minutes after ordering, yet that was 10 minutes ago and still no food. The lady has the sticker stuck to her arm to remind her lol. No paper in receipt printers, toilets a bomb site. Carnage. 😂

Took 1hr30 mins to be delivered and was cold on arrival. Tried to resolve and cancel with just eat before delivery made as delay was too long but delivered anyway. Driver asked for code which I gave for identification purposes, but then would not accept my refusal of delivery. Seems like giving the code is as good as a successful delivery to them so any subsequent refusal attempts on my part weren’t accepted. I said I don’t want it, was told ‘throw it in bin then’ and left on my doorstep. No support or compensation offered by just eat or McDonald’s. Devastatingly disappointing service by both companies.

The most lackadaisical mc donalds I've been too. Left standing about for ten minutes with no service. Utterly useless

What makes a few of your very well trained and very professional staff think that targeting, bullying and harassing the particular delivery partner is allowed in the restaurant and they would get away with it!!

Absolutely shocking food, Harwich McDonald’s should be ashamed of the garbage they produce, food is always cold, burnt burgers and always forget something in the order, will not be using them again… long live Burger King 👑

Absolute useless staff! Every delivery order I’ve made they forget to put something in wether it’s a burger or a drink they won’t let you down. 5 or 6 deliveries in a row there is something missing, I’m like surely they won’t forget to put it in this time but their uselessness prevails. Useless!!

Fast food? Everything but.... the service was so slow.... Waited an age, unfortunately 😕...... The breakfast was lovely, so not all bad.

Service and atmosphere was good. However, more attention needed where the food is concerned. Although I enjoy the chicken Big Mac I ordered, the fries were disappointing. I ordered a large fries for reference.

If I could put zero stars I would ! Got food poisoning from Harwich branch . I was ill for nearly a week . Zero customer service , food orders prior to this were always wrong . Definitely avoid like plaque.

Drive thru always messing up orders items missing or incorrect. Food not even warm

This site is getting slowly and slowly worse. I have given up ordering by any other means except the app, so I stand half a chance of the order being correct. Drive thru has a cone over it at 0730 and three members of staff stood outside the main entrance smoking like it’s some sort of youth centre. Massive lack of leadership and discipline going on here.

Efficient and clean a good McDonald's

This MacDonalds is the best MacDonalds I have ever visited, I don't live in the area but the couple of times I have been in the area I have found the restaurant to be clean, food was hot and neat tidy burgers, and also the staff are really friendly and have personalities 😂 my fave maccys

My second visit here and second burger complaint. The employees here produce orders according to their own and not according to the wishes of the customers

This McDonald's is useless my kids ordered a delivery which was very nearly cold, 1 meal missing, so i had to go down anyway because they wouldnt answer the phone While i was waiting customers we complaining of under cooked chips and burgers with items missing Serious re-training needed and uber drivers that can deliver while its hot

I had a frustrating experience at the drive-thru. The staff couldn't get our order right and then ignored us. I hope this improves in the future.

Utterly useless, need some decent training down there. They've forgotten to give us one of our burgers again, this has been every time that we've ordered recently. They've never been a good branch but they're slipping more and more. Sort yourselves out. Lost another customer here.

Children will always revert back to their animal instincts when they're tired, bored, or a combination of the 2.....well I say animal 'hunting' instincts are no more than seeking a McDonalds out....which was further away than the place we were trying to get to...never mind. First impressions, wasn't at all busy at just after midday which was great, standard touchscreen ordering system which has widely been accustomed to (though the receipt machine was faulty!), unfortunately that's where the good part ends. Between being displayed as ready to collect, nearly 8 minutes passed before actually being able to collect the meal...being sympathetic to potential rush hour influx of people at drive through, it natural to assume that the resource would be strained...right up until I saw no less than 3 members of staff larking around, what looked to be laughing and joking at customers. So, sat down to a cold meal with warm mcflurries, was literally no point in raising it as the following result would have been the same. The finishing touch was the complete absence of toilet roll in either of the gents cubicles. But hey, it's the holidays..

Was told id have to wait 6 minutes in parking zone. Car in front never moved so i stayed where i was at window. Got food and was home within 2 minutes and big mac and fries was stone cold. Paid nearly £8 for inedible food. Not happy

Made the mistake again of using this place.No paper in machine for receipt like always.waited for food and had to listen to all the complaints from customers and Uber drivers that were complaining that food was being canceled and returned.This place is total embarrassment to the McDonald's franchise.

Bad experience. No paper at the ordering station, good job I looked and remembered order number! Asked for happy meals, burgers for kids with ketchup only +lettuce, and what did we get? Onion, mustardand all the rest unwanted, lettuce was nowhere to be seen. Obvs i didnt check the inside of burgers at the till! As its was so busy and they didnt have squash in stock so had to deal with change of drinks. No tissues provided. Not happy meals- dissappointment!!

No comparison to a German McDonald's Coffee bad, food bad, not to mention what the English call breakfast!

It's McDonald's. It's a well known established business world wide. This is a reasonable store with ample seating, drive thru. Staff are nice and friendly.

Slow service! McDonald’s is fast food outlet I believe waited 20 minutes! In the end had to do to go to service counter which was unmanned and ask where the food was! No hot drinks only cold ones available this was because there wasn’t enough staff working and if they did hot drinks the service would be even slower! Drive through takes priority over restaurant as do Uber orders. When food arrived it was warm. Kids allowed to congregate in the restaurant without buying food, it’s like youth club only worse. This place in the worst McDonald’s in the UK absolute waste of time. Staff don’t give a toss about anything. There’s never any napkins or condiments out. Please do us all a favour and close the place down immediately. Disgusting establishment.

Excellent cappuccino, although it is better in the Netherlands.

Great place to stop before or after getting on/off the ferry. The manager was out and about making sure the customers were well looked after. Really clean restrooms.

Ordered a delivery tonight at 7.14, got a confirmation email saying it would be delivered at 8.15. 8.45 and the meal has still not arrived. Tried to call them but the number was permanently engaged (off the hook). I then went to the outlet and spoke to the manager. Manager did not seem to care but instead blamed the Uber driver for not attending work tonight. She stated there hadn’t been an Uber driver since 5.30. I was not called to tell me my order had been cancelled however, I was emailed at 8.40 telling me I had been refunded. This is the second time this has happened at the place in the last 6 weeks. I certainly won’t be using them again an I urge everyone else to avoid also. Terrible communication, even worse customer service and absolutely no remorse.

Toilets looked a bit grubby, but OK otherwise. We ate the Vegetable Deluxe meal deal. It wasn't unpleasant, but not the nicest veggie burger I've ever eaten. They need to up their game on the Veggie options. Very boring, but OK if your desperate (which we were). Parking is good as is the wheelchair access.

Made an order- mac donalds didn't put the item in the bag, call them up and say you must complaine to uber! Uber only deliver the food!! After a convocation with a member of staff they agree to deliver missing item, 1 hour goes by and nothing so I call back up and a manger said I should not have been told that! I then drive down there to be confronted with the most useless manager iv ever know called Connor!! He said I must re-pay for the missing food and claim it back off them!!conner the manager still blames uber after mc donalds didn't put the food in the bag!! Moral of the story is don't order from harwich mc donands because they constantly get the order wrong!! As for conner the world's worst manager, seems to me he is part of reason why the the service provided by harwich mc donalds is so poor!!! 2 hours!! Driving down there!!! Useless,rude and incompetent manager called conner!! £47 waisted!!

Updated review today - I ordered 4 drinks on click and collect and after 20 minutes thought I would investigate why they hadn't arrived. The restaurant was not busy and there were plenty of staff but it took a further 5 minutes to acknowledge me. I was then told by the manager that we had been forgotten about and then he changed it to the blended ice machine wasn't working. Brought the drinks out, no apology for the now 30 minute wait for 4 drinks. Drove off and parked to drink them, the latte was half full and the iced drinks were not icy. Poor show Macdonald's Harwich, poor show.

Wonderful place with kind and awsome staff

Been here twice now same both times Food was nice enough as you'd expect from a maccers. It's the staff that need to be adress , both times 2 different girls have called my number then all but thown My food at me no eye contact no other words just a number call then tossed in my direction and thre walking away before I have even reached the table to collect. Was around 7pm and was very quiet. On top od that, car park feels u safe too sat in my car to eat on both occasions as there were rowdy youngers inside, only to watch people harassing customers in the carpark for money etc and going around brazenly checking if car doors are locked...... didn't feel safe even slightly even saw multiple staff witness this guy checking car doors and harassing people doing nothing about it. . Poor.

Yes they do deliveries, the same delivery drivers with few Uber Eats different profile picture accounts delivered our food every days and months. Most of the delivery driver profile pictures look very different do not match from their Uber Eats' delivery accounts and why they got away with it for a few years now??

Typical macca D's , quite clean and place for kids to play, only problem was a few tablets didn't work.

What can I say, its a mcdonalds, but right of the port so super convenient and an excellent example of a good mcdonalds.

The chili wraps are amazing it's the taste and I'd recommend it especially with the nuggets and lettuce
