Ordered £33 delivery from just which came very late due to food not being ready for Collection because restaurant was busy. I have seen deliveries sitting on the side before whilst drivers are waiting for staff to give them over. I ordered 2 milkshakes and 1 coke. I got 2 cokes and 1 milkshake so I thought I would ring McDonald's Dumbarton to complain. Female answered I told her my issues to which "get in touch with just eat they will refund you" She couldn't tell me the time it was sent out and was bothered about my issues just the "oh sorry" Contacted just eat app only offered £6.49. No point in using either as no customer care given.

Since the refurbishment it's went downhill, not enough seats for everyone and service really slow. I think the delivery drivers now have a part of their own so obviously McDonalds can prioritise them over the real customers without being seen. Or thats how it seems with how slow it is to get your food.

Absolutely useless. Can't read a recipe and pack a bag of food in accordance with the receipt. Missing items and they blame the delivery driver. I'm sorry but the delivery driver doesn't pack the bag of food and then seal the bag. Dumbarton, full of employees who don't care what's going in the bag. It this a way of McDonald's making money by not delivering what you actually order by blaming the driver so McDonald's don't have to refund or give you what you're missing. Then when you attend Dumbarton McDonald's and state what's missing, their response is, "We can't do anything it's the driver"..... Seriously they don't pack the food...... I'd give this minus stars if I could. No wonder employees don't get their stars anymore.

Literally never get everything you order always something missing or incorrect. Which is simply the cause of lazy and careless staff. Couldn’t count the number of times I’ve had wrong orders or items missing or things I’ve ordered being incorrect. I have worked in fast food and it isn’t hard to take one quick glance at an order and receipt to see what’s missing it’s just lazy.

Well we'll well. Macdonalds has been renovated! It us lovley the facilities are the same but my god it is nice it is modern clean. Now with a new modern look the restaurant looks more welcoming, easy to order from the additional Kiosks and the tables with the QR Codes (Scan or tap) and more seating, with new charging ports USB-C and USB on the tables, still serve cold fries hence the 4 stars, They’ve e remove the interactive “magic table” for the kids including the tables so nothing to keep the children entertained. Really clean and new-looking restaurant. Service wasn't especially quick and we ordered standard food from the menu with no alterations or additions so I don't know why it took so long. It wasn't packed at lunchtime but was busy enough with a continuous trickle of customers - but unfortunately, the food was stale. Really stale. I don't even know how that was possible. But three of us left our fries (which now come unsalted) and my burger was flat, dry, and if not for the guerkin slice, it would have been tasteless. This was my first visit to a Maccies in 5 years and I guess it will be longer before I return as the food has been universally poor in every restaurant I've visited since at least 2010, which is a shame. I don't even think it's the quality of the ingredients. Just the lack of care by the cook staff... The only thing I enjoyed was the Hot Apple Pie - and that's probably because nobody has to make them!

@McDonalds DUMBARTON!! - How difficult can it be for you to get ANY order right for your customers. No joke, every time I go to your drive through, your staff get my order wrong or forget to put something in the bag! I’ve just tried to complain to the so called manager of this shop for a 2nd time in recent weeks. He’s not interested in my complaint and only wants to address the issue quickly and move me on. Clearly can’t handle conflict or a difficult customer interaction with a view to resolving things, manager hmmmm, not in my opinion. If this is the level of service from the manager no wonder the poor young staff and service are of poor quality. The manager refused to speak to me as I was angry, cursed and then took it straight back as it wasn’t appropriate (no abuse at him or staff given) but he walked away saying he won’t speak to me with that attitude! Oh how to infuriate someone even more eh! Never known such awful manager /customer service in my life. And I speak from experience here! Shocking service! My kids and I (&some friends who unfortunately experience the same service) will happily go to @KFC or @ DOMINOS Dumbarton, or simply take a lovely wee 10 min drive to McDonalds Balloch from now on, at least they know how to work a restaurant and serve customers properly. I don’t usually complain. But my god I’m honestly so shocked it happens EVERY TIME I have to go there with the kids. I had just said to my daughter while waiting on the food, they will get the order wrong, bag was handed over and I checked, SURPRISE they didn’t disappoint. No chips with the meal resulting in me asking to speak to the so called manager! After the ordeal of having to try and speak to said manager, I only drove home to open my burger and they had also put mayonnaise on one of the burgers when I asked NO MAYONNAISE on any on the 2 burgers, reason - Egg Allergies!!!!! But hey the manager doesn’t like my attitude! Doesn’t want to know how often they mess up! They managed to get one burger orders correct but the 2nd was an ordinary mcchicken sandwich WITH MAYONNAISE. They clearly received the order ok from me but just can’t seem to get it right when they serve it????? It’s not rocket science and where allergies and food are associated, they should be clearly careful of their mistakes and the danger this can have for someone! Isn’t that why you can tweak the order for special food requirements? Shocking disgraceful customer service from the manager. Explains a lot. Ps would give 3 stars to food-only! ZERO STARS EVERYTHING ELSE! Good luck folks if you go there but I’m done can’t cope with rotten service!

Not for the first time at Dumbarton MCDonalds the chips have been undercooked. White, soggy and lukewarm. However on this occasion the most negative aspect of the visit was the untidiness of the premises. It was strewn with litter with bins overflowing.

The food was fine. It was the wait that was outrageous. Now let it be known, I don't blame one member of staff for this, I blame the suits. The higherarchy who put plans in place. A blind man could see, that with the high demand of delivery's it will/has put a strain on the running of each outlet. I waited 20 minutes for my "fast food"! With two toddlers needing appeased. Isn't it perfectly plausible to have an outlet souly dedicated to online delivery's and not open to the public? This would ease congestion at the now, overly busy, very slow franchises we're staff are getting ratty and customers even rattier. Simple.....

Diabolical service ordered two double deluxe burger meals with with one strawberry one chocolate and got one plain double cheeseburger and two strawberry milkshakes and had to go back only to find the management who clearly don't know what they're doing shouting and being snide.to the staff totally demoralising them and still got the wrong burger , also no receipts in the self service machines meaning no ticket number informed management nothing done If this is how bad the service is ...imagine how bad the cooking and cleaning is ... I'll be avoiding this macdonalds from now on

Posting this here as they don't make it easy to find a way to leave feedback for a particular store. On the day I ate here, I noticed a lot of activity behind the counter. 2 people in what appeared to be supervisor uniforms were speaking at length to some staff at their stations in the kitchen prep area. After placing my order on the kiosk machine I lined up behind another elderly couple who had walked in at the same time as me. A large number of orders for delivery went out but only 2 other dine-in orders completed during that time, one of which was 90% done at the time I finished ordering. The young lad packing items into the bags seemed to be moving at a snail's pace. Then he started touching his nose with the back of his hand, then fingertips, and then coughing into his shoulder and sleeve. He obviously was unwell and not fit to work. I heard him cough loudly a few times when behind the wall. Most of the time though he looked like he was just standing there waiting. Not sure if he really was waiting for some part of the order to complete or in a daze, but food seemed to be piling up at the packing/tray area. The older gentleman had gone to find a table and the older lady and I stood there for what felt like ages. When the sick boy eventually stacked the couple's tray I heard her audibly exclaim about him handling the food items. As I was early on in my holiday, I didn't want to risk getting sick and contemplated walking out but then a different employee from the drive-through window area came in and packed my tray really quickly, apart from a short delay as they went off to get my orange juice. So, my problem isn't with the sick employee. In that position at that age, they're probably getting minimum wage and so wanting to work as much as possible. I've been there. I'm actually super annoyed that there were 2 senior staff there and they either didn't notice or didn't want to do anything, despite the circumstances of the last 4 years. As soon as that first cough came out, one of them should have sent him straight home. The food for the most part was better than average although the fries were a little pale and sparse in the pack for medium size. Service was really slow, and I didn't like the cleaning staff unecessarily sweeping around me when waiting for my order. Watching the employee sick and working around the food also made me start to feel a bit put off. Also the whole front side of the central bin was missing. Overall, one of the less enjoyable meals I've had anywhere.

I hope McDonalds read this……. It seems to be whoever is on shift will depend on your order. A few young kids are amazing specially a young guy on drive thru where I collect order who was working on Thursday 13th March. He always makes sure my order is hot and actually decent size chips every time. Ave noticed this a few times and I always know when I get him. He’s polite, nothing is a problem, order always right……. Then you have ur manager, small over weight young man? I’m sure you know since I don’t have a name, he’s nothing but cheeky if you dare say anything over ur order. I was missing something 2x and when I called he basically more or less insisted I was lying? Mate it costs me more petrol to drive back to collect the right stuff than it does giving me my missing one of the new pies or a toffee apple donut. I’m a nurse, I spend all day looking after people who can get on my nerves but I never take it out on them! I’m over a lot due to what time I finish my own work for quickness. I hate the describe the man the way I have but everyone who mentions issues to me always say it this guy. He’s “stout” glasses, young and a manager. He needs help on customer service and maybe the guy I’m speaking about who is always lovely needs a raise or his job!! Next time I’m over I’m making sure to tell that young man he’s doing a great job and the other one…… well he told my dad who went one night he’s banned because my dad had a fit his order was messed up 3x. Zero customer service. Managers not even engaging with customers. We had a sprite which had no syrup in it from drive thru, we went back in to the restaurant hoping to get it changed quickly. It was hard to get counter staffs attention and, they seemed to barely understand the issue much less what to do. Eventually spoke to Steven, the manager who only engaged after prompting twice and they eventually sorted it with little apology or explanation. This is a basic customer service stuff. Very poor.

Been here many a times and loads of times iv parked in the car park when the waiting spaces are busy I literally pointed and explained there's a space there tell them to move in there so we can all get past to be told they can't park in the other spaces and wait for food funny because iv been told that at the same mcdonalds plenty of times just find a space we will bring it out . Mediocre McDonald’s franchise, very inconsistent. I’ve had excellent crispy nuggets from here and I’ve had soggy and cold nuggets. I’ve had great tasting burgers and I’ve had thrown together soggy cold messes. Most recently we ordered for delivery, including happy meals for kids, which the staff had thrown in bags with the happy meal boxes flat packed and they were missing the hamburgers! Couldn’t phone as they just answered and left the phone on the side until it was off the hook. Support through the app was also not helpful, blaming Deliveroo even though McDonald’s staff compile the order and seal the bags. Check your orders for accuracy and/or missing items. Only use this franchise of McDonald’s due to location convenience. Generally speedy drive thru.

Ordered a delivery, 2050, recieved at 2130 stone cold, half a milkshake no spill in the bag and when you phone to say your £27 meal is cold your told take it up with user who got paid £4 to deliver, I'll assume its not just McDonald's dumbarton saying this but that's a disgrace. Would give zero stars if i could. Ordered through mcdonald's app "food" took ages to arrive. When it arrives i received two drink bags one being my drink one being another orders drinks. Delivery driver said that's all they gave him. I don't see how you can do this as it's two DIFFERENT order numbers on each bag. Pure laziness and lack of care. Whoever the franchisee owner of this place is need to take a good look at themselves. How hard is it to get an order correct. Disgusting totally disgusting as always stuff missing so ordered thru delivery. All stuff was closed so no way Uber Eats had anything to do with it. Ongoing issue so phoned and was told to get refund/ when said that I will tell my daughter to eat the "refund" I'd that what they meant- women on the phone accused me of abuse / told ger they are pure joke and will not leave it without the noise. Do ridiculous 🙄 honestly. Had to order the wee girls sandwich separately /sandwich included in her meal/ with delivery 10£ more! Wonr leave it without aby echo! Don't buy there or check straight away if all is in. We are family of 6 so its bigger order but also bigger money. Get a grip Mackie at dumbarton . Very poor all over.

Food is generally decent. Took a couple of stars off due to a few mistakes with orders and as there used to be 11 Click and Serve spaces which they’ve reduced to 2 now. Both of which are usually occupied by Just Eat drivers waiting for their next order and can’t be used.

I went in for a large Double McPlant meal. I watched as one of the staff members poured out a poor portion of medium fries then try to fill my empty large packet with them. I heard him say as he walked round the corner after handing me my meal "I'm a bad person". When I said I wasn't accepting them I was told "Well you'll need to wait 2 minutes then"... whilst waiting for my fries, another girl asked for salt, to which she was told that they had none. After my fries were ready, I seen the girl pretend to salt the fresh fries and laugh towards the boy who originally tried to give me half a portion, as if they had done me over somehow... Congratulations on making your store and your own work ethics look so poor.

Ordered a special fish supper which comes with salad and mayo. It was delivered in 20 minutes. Was very sceptical especially with quick delivery time. Fish was gorgeous and not dripping in grease like most chippys. Will definitely order from here again and very good value for money

We have been here more than a couple of times and I just love the warm and cosy feeling the interiors have got, the seating outside has got heaters, but I prefer it only during summers or when its not windy. The service can be a hit or a miss, our first experience was very smooth, we were attended and explained very well, whilst our second visit wasn't as quick and took more than 20-30 minutes for us to be attended, the staff is sweet but hopefully can work on the wait times. I would love to see a few more vegetarian options to nibble with the drinks, nevertheless we opted for Gyoza which was the only vegetarian option but was great and perfectly presented.

Terrible service. We arrived and ordered 6 drinks and 6 cakes. 4 drinks came out 20mins later without any warning about a delay in the other drinks so we asked for the other coffees and cakes. The waitress then comes out to retake our order as it seemed they had lost the original order. Another 10mins later our cakes came which were wrong and took 10mins to sort out. Once the 4 coffees and cakes had been finished the remaining 2 coffees came 40mins after the other 4 first drinks arrived. No apologies, no explanations and cafe was not busy. New managment is needed to turn the place around. It’s not hard to complete one order before moving onto the next. Being part of the Cameron house brand I would expect a lot better service, I feel this restaurant lseverely drags the Cameron house name down.
