Dec 2024: possibly even worse, 20 minutes wait, rude staff only bothered about Uber eats, deliveroo etc Update: May '23 Still absolutely rubbish, surly staff, cold food, excessive waiting in drive through. Useless... 3 visits, the times items missing or wrong, return trips to replace items, then meal cold when finally get back home. Complained, got given a medium fries to cover the cold food and fuel trip go back. Would advise checking orders before leaving

I’ve been a regular at the Chorley McDonalds for a long time now, to the point that some of the staff talk to me familiarly at this point. After having a string of regular issues there, I’ve opted to use this one more, which is an extra 10 minutes round trip. This McDonald’s seems to be better in every way. The staff always speak clearly, politely and seem to be happy to be there. They’ve only ever made 1 mistake, which as a track record % is much better than the Clifford street maccies. Never had issues with syrup running out, wrong amount of hash browns, special orders wrong… they always have it right, know what they’re doing, and seem to serve much quicker. Whatever is happening here, from my experience it’s going well. Hopefully management of Clifford street can take note!

I have today after a 12 hour shift decided to use mcdonalds for my tea. Being curious I ordered a mcrib meal and overall we ordered £36 or just under by pennies. We ordered this via uber eats order number: The order arrived and upon inspection of the contents of the bag. We noticed our mcrib burgers x 2 were not in the bag. I immediately contacted the store. The on site manager at the time Jo answered. Initially I was polite and asked her if I nipped to the store cud she please give me the missing burgers. In my mind if the food was prepared and we'd ordered them they wud just be sat on the counter waiting. So I thought ring soon as so I cud get my tea. Your manager informed me that no she cudnt give me the burgers. Couldn't provide a acceptable or any explanation as to why the items were missing. I also asked why she cudnt simply give me the burgers. All she was prepared to do was hand me a 3rd party number to get them to deal with. I did go to the store. Showed her the receipt and asked her again to give me the burgers. She said there was nothing she cud do. And then charged me again for the burgers on there own £9.18 for the 2. At this point I won't lie I was angry. But I still paid. And said something that your manager didn't like obviously. As immediately she went on the I'm cancelling your order refusing your service and giving you a refund. She didn't infact give me a refund. And at this point I openly admit I lost it with her. I will not be returning to this site unless these issues are dealt with. I want that lady spoken to and reminding that good customer service is a given with such a large company. And that regardless of rank she shud conduct herself professionally and assist any customers where ever possible. I also want my money back as I did not receive the goods paid for. That store is a absolute shambles The staff are horrendous and there general demeanor is shocking. I urge senior management to check this place out. I've been a customer regularly for years and this is infact the worst experience I've ever had. Now hungry almost £50 out of pocket and feeling very disappointed with you as a company.

Absolutely shocking customer service. Ordered breakfast on the app. Got to kiosk, got my drink and told to wait in the parking bay. After 15 mins went into the restaurant and complained. No apology. They then said that the order had been taken to my car. Again no apology from the staff..no wonder they have poor reviews. Food was cold when we got home

For you own sake never order ubereats or delivery from this place. They are so utterly incompetent and slow, they must have 10 people loitering in the kitchen yet massive queues and no progress. Your food will 110% be cold by the time it arrives. Drinks are packed badly and drivers are treated poorly and not even acknowledged. McDonald's truly is the worst delivery restaurant on earth, this goes for pretty much every McDonald's restaurant, stop eating this rubbish.

We was waiting ages for the food and when we got home, we realised they got the order wrong, everything on the receipt wasn't in the bag. Rang up to explain and we was asked to drive back to collect the correct order. No offer for a refund etc. We quickly checked the order before coming home which seemed fine but turns out when we got home they missed an item again so we just cut our loses. Anyway, the burgers in our order were stone cold.

17 min wait after ordering at the drive through, uber drivers being served before anyone else, ended up with a barely warm burger. When my partner complained to the server and ask if the food was hot his answer was it’s meant to be. Worst service worst food never eating another McDonald and will tell everyone I know not to go to this branch. This not fast food This not good service. You’re better off ordering online you probs get hot food. Think you need to make choice is it an online service or are you going to also concentrate on the customers that take the time to come to the store.

Only two places for blue badge holders but most annoying disabled spaces often taken up by non blue badge holders which I find very selfish and this is not monitored by the establishment

There seems to be a common theme with McDonald’s these days. The food, service and facilities are all hit and miss. Went here Saturday morning for breakfast, had to wait at the drive through order point for quite a while before someone took the order, waited at the window for sometime before receiving order. Flat white coffee had no milk, no napkins in the bag but the food was ok and hot so definitely a mixed bag. We have tried various McDonald’s as a family and there always seems to be something not quite right about every order/visit.

The quality of fries 🍟 is shocking !! McDonald fries used to be the best but now they’re just rubbish. Half of fries are full of black spots or green edges, moreover cold and soggy, if they are fresh they tend to be either undercooked or overcooked/half burnt!!! Been here several times and most of the time iv had a bad time compared to the other mc Donald’s in my area. Almost every time iv been iv been asked to pull forward and wait, i understand that they have to make the food in short amount of time but it’s literally every time and there is at least 2 other people pulled forward sometimes theres so many people waiting there is no place to go. Today,I got told to pull forward and waited about 5mins I then found a false eyelash on my food. I don’t have false eyelashes so it’s impossible for it to be mine.

I get that it's new, I get that there maybe staff are leaving (not the job for them etc). What I dont get is why you have to wait upwards of 10 minutes to have your food served (& it's not even busy!!!). First visit the ordering screens would not let us add a soft drink to our order...no signs, no info so we assumed it was us. Finally after 7-8mins I lost my patience & stopped a member of staff & was informed..."oh that's because we're having the tubes cleaned!) Grrrr...at least tell your customers!. Then we had to wait 10 minutes whilst our Big Mac's were created. 🤔 2nd visit, screens worked (yay!!!) Resturant was emptyish...& counter server apologising to everyone in the queue..."sorry for your wait" nice but it shouldn't be necessary....so 12 minutes to have the food served & then the fries were luke warm Grrrr 😔. C'mon McDonalds me thinks you need to 'up your game' I am not the only mediocre review on here...there's clearly a message.👎 And don't even get me started on why the 'Big Mac' ain't so big anymore. 😡 Yet still we go back....so it must be us! 🤪. Out of the 2 McDonald's in Chorley I recommend visiting this one instead of the other as it is quieter, faster to be served, the food is generally hotter and fresher and the staff are generally nicer and cannot do enough for you. Plus they have never got my order wrong yet which is a common occurrence at the other branch.

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL! Ever since they renovated it to be more catering to delivery drivers, the people who are actually in the restaurant get third rate service. If you order at the counter, you'll be waiting 10 minutes just for some idiot to serve you. I tried to speed things up by ordering on the app before walking into the place, but the app froze and my order disappeared off the screen. I spent 10 minutes waiting for a 'manager', who insisted that payment hadn't been taken and that I'd have to order again. When I proved via e-mail that the app had indeed taken my money - the food came out and nobody knew about it. Truly incompetent service, a non-functioning app, coupled with long wait times and the price increases of rubbish food means that this is the last time (unless I'm starving and truly desperate) that I will visit another McDonald's ever again.

I was in McDonald’s this afternoon and a young man walked in, he spoke to the lady at the front and was explaining there was an issue with his order. The lady was quick to respond in a condescending manner and shut the young lad down. Her customer service skills were appalling and some further training is definitely needed when it comes to appropriate professional manner, and situation management. The young man was clearly irritated by this and gave her the exact same attitude back causing an unpleasant atmosphere. All of this could have been avoided if the lady working had managed the situation effectively.

We came to this McDonalds for a quick bite to eat. The drive-thru entrance seems to confuse a lot of people so much there was nearly a bump because a man didn't understand the arrows (it is simple enough - long way round but if they are experiencing high queues then the lay out is understandable) We ordered a few meals between us and I ordered the Halloumi or Mozzarella dippers which I have ticked to have the rich tomato sauce. I don't know why but this is ALWAYS missed. The cheese dippers aren't the same without it. We drove off before checking our order, I wasn't going to go back round for a few sauces so anyone attending check before you drive off!

To be fair this is mainly a drive through as it's on the only road out of lancaster going north to the M6. The restaurant is not that busy. The food accuracy on my visit was poor I ordered a plant based burger with an extra pattie but can with one, I took it back to the counter and explained to the team member who took it off me and came back with a replacement. On sitting down back at my table found that they had replaced the single burger with another single burger. At the counter for the third time wanted the manager who sorted things out. Two burgers in the bin should have been in my stomach and that would have been a positive outcome for me. Overall not a bad experience just an inconvenience.

"No lad, you're correct, this is still carbonated water". Returned to hole in wall. "This is still carbonated water". Hole responsed, "we have changed the syrup". Mother replied, "feel free to sample the refreshment yourself". Family all finished eating, ready to go. "We will take a Coke instead, thanks. Upgrading to a large would be a reasonable gesture considering my son is quite thirsty and our experience here has not been particularly enjoyable". No apology for the inconvenience, no smile. Staff here seem very miserable, don't seem to enjoy their jobs and have no interest in customers. In my experience, unhappy, uncaring, miserable staff are a direct result of poor management.

We waited quiet a while for our food to be prepared (over 15mins). When it arrived it was cold - the chips were so cold they had hardened. Part of the order did not arrive (burger) & the staff needed to be reminded. The restaurant was not busy, nor was the drive through & there seemed to be plenty of staff.

Ordered food through McDonald’s app, £31 wasted as part of order was missing, the rest of the food was stone cold. Rang the store who don’t care as the food was delivered by Uber. Yet again this store has failed to deliver a complete order and can simply pass the blame to the delivery company who in turn refuse to do anything as the order was placed through the McDonald’s app and not the Uber app.

I went to the one in Wigan near tesco, The first time there for me but the granddaughter who had been with the family before. Going upstairs to dine the food didn't take too long to arrive was hot but only one table iPad three more was missing other children waiting to go on, should be replaced.

This McDonald's is next to Tesco in Chorley. Very convenient location and a lot of parking spaces ideal for a quick bite or takeaway. We went there for an early breakfast. Staff we great and quick getting our order.

Lovely staff but went today and while we where waiting the music was turned up to an unacceptable level this has been the case for the last couple of visits. Seemed to be an area manager of some description but she just sat there doing nothing. Now then I appreciate a bit of appropriate music when eating but not banging disco music and I’m a little hard of hearing so god help anyone with perfect hearing they would leave with bleeding ears

Got back home to find only 4 in the box 🤣 absolute farce. Can it really be that difficult to get an order right?

Dont waste your time or money ordering from this Mcdonalds. Staff are rude, leave you waiting and to be honest just dont care. The managers are just as bad when you get to speak to them. When you call in they dont want even talk to the customer and hide round the back from a discussion. Ordered through the app for delivery, when the order arrived in sealed bags the main burger was missing, called up to ask where it was to be told sorry we are busy. Asked about a refund and got advised this is not our problem report it the app. Spoke to the manager Chelsea who to be honest was quiet rude and gave the feeling that she just did not care and replied she did not have time to deal with this and we need to report it how we paid. Advised the driver had done his bit and the bags are sealed so is it not there job to check quality control but again could not be bothered and no sorry or anything. I am sorry but this happens time and time again at this McDonalds, Just avoid.

Ordered via drive through. Told to wait in a bay. 15 minutes we waited. Went in. No apology,asked the reason why and just got a shrug in response. I said we had been waiting for 15 minutes and that I hoped the food had not been hanging around... another shrug! Burger stone cold. Fries like warm at best. Er won't be returning.

This is the 3rd and last time we will go here. On every occasion we have been left stood at the counter with nobody serving. Each time we have had to shout and more or less go into the kitchen to get somebody's attention. There are plenty of staff but they are all stood about, laughing and talking to each other, no customer care whatsoever. Other people were doing the same thing also.

We could not avoid comparing this store to our normal one in Knutsford and sadly, it did not compare well. The lighting and use of space needs a re-think. I had a couple of other concerns which I’ve communicated with Booths about directly. Karl was lovely and told us where to get a decent cup of coffee in Chorley. I still love Booths.

It's mediocre, foods ok nothing special, they only do the carvery at weekends now which is a shame. Always use to be busy, but only a handful of people there now. My friend needed a gluten free menu, but this wasn't catered for, although they were able to advise what they could provide, by showing an allergies folder.

Not what it used to be. Too big a menu, too many delivery drivers, making service longer for eat in and or drive through customers. The food is never really that warm, especially the fries. Expensive and past it’s best.

Went for lunch today and ordered 2 ciabatta with side salad. One was ham and cheese to be told there was no cheese, fine can't help supply issues. Asked could we add onion to be told no the chef doesn't like to add things on!! As they came with side salad assumed we could grab some from there but no the salad was a joke- a couple of dry leaves and some bright purple coleslaw which was so salty it was inedible. The cafe is dirty, tired and in need of a deep clean from the sticky tables to the mould in the conservatory. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!
